"Bar Louie Uptown, a national chain bar known for its large patio and party vibe, has closed. The venue had a two-star rating on Yelp, mostly due to slow service and high drink prices. The location was also notable for being the scene of a shooting in the summer of 2017. The franchisee decided to close the location due to underperformance." - Joy Summers

Great customer service and variety of options on their menu. The patio is pet friendly and also has a great ambience. They have fire places outside near the tables to keep people warm during the cold days.

We met friends here for dinner, and everyone enjoyed their meals and cocktails. The restaurant was not busy, but our waiter was too engaged in something else to provide proper service to our group. A very good place to have a few drinks and hang out with friends. Exceptionally warm, inviting, a high ceiling.

The atmosphere was the best part. We went for Happy hour. We got a few drinks and a burger with fries. Burger was cold, fries were stale. Waitress got us fresh fries when we have our feedback. Atmospbere and the local craft beer were great, everything else was lacking.

The servers are nice and the bartenders are awesome here but I can hardly hear the person talking to me whether I’ve been eating at a table or sitting at the bar with them. It might sound weird coming from a millennial but could ya turn the music down a few notches? I go out to enjoy good food/drinks and hangout with friends, not to shout at them from two feet away. I pretty much usually only go here if friends choose this place, and more than half the time they leave feeling disappointed by the prices or noise level too. The food is good but not enough to make me want to go into the atmosphere there for it.

Heard great things about this bar so decided to go try it. First experience and my last! We were seated in patio seats, clearly too high for us. Finally got a hold of another waitress, and seated in a booth. Which was much better but our waiter was impatient and tried to rush our stay there. Not only that but we waited well over 45 min. For our appetizers! Then another 15 min. Or so before he came back with our drinks. We were out to enjoy our night so we didn't want to complain, and tried to be patient. When we were finally ready for the bill, he added over $30 for himself on my sisters bill. This is aside from our tips, since we all paid separately. When asked, he shuffled out money from his pocket plus a credit card that wasn't ours and threw it on the table and walked away. We looked at the card and realized he had helped a guy behind us and had given his Mastercard to us. We returned it to the guy behind us and left. Here is my review, atmosphere was nice but waiter was bi polar.

Bar Louie is a great little bar in uptown. They have a huge outdoor seating area with a few bonfire pits. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, but I've never had to wait in line to get in. It has the general dark atmosphere with loud music. Drink prices are what you would expect in uptown. The staff are friendly and have always been quick with drinks.

The staff come across as being more interested in each other than helping customers. Calamari was not hot when served and our other appetizer was too salty. We did not stay and order main course. The drinks were of course good.

I've never had anything less than a great experience here, so I thought it was finally time to leave a review. Great-tasting food at reasonable prices. A fun, lively atmosphere, but still quiet enough that you can easily talk and hear your companions. Happy hour order of Trip Chips & Dip, Veggie Flatbread, Boneless BBQ Wings, and Calamari is the perfect spread.
