Bar Louie - Nashville

Fantastic atmosphere and welcoming staff! The bartender was incredibly friendly and made the experience memorable. Drinks were top notch and reasonably priced. Plus, they had an amazing charcuterie board.

Service and staff are excellent! Drinks are even yummier. Check them out for happy hour and get half off flatbreads & select bar bites + discounted drinks. They also have a late night happy hour. Shoutout to Bryce!

Love the live music, everything else left much to be desired. Out party of 5 (4 adults and a child) waited 6 or 7 minutes to be acknowledged at the front door. Once seated, we waited another 5 or 6 minutes for a server to claim our table. Our server, S***a, introduced herself and immediately let us know that if we scanned the QR code on the drink menu and left a positive review, mentioning her name, S***a, we would receive an appetizer for free. We placed our drinks orders and she returned with the glasses of water, prior to the drinks being fulfilled by the bar. Upon placing the fourth and last glass, she spilled it on me, my chair and the table and floor between myself and my father. Not a big deal, but odd during this time, she took the opportunity to remind us about the QR code and survey. She delivered our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We placed our order and after, she took the order of the booth behind us and we would not interact with her again for roughly 20 minutes. The booth behind us received their food and upon noticing our glance, she remarked that someone was bringing ours out. A bachelorette party was seated with her five minutes later and after taking their order, taking several pictures for them and the booth behind us finishing their meal, she said she would go get our food. It was all lukewarm at best. I also requested no pickles for my burger she acknowledged me verbally and naturally, consistent with this experience my burger was topped with pickles. The delay in delivery was really a disservice to the kitchen staff, because there's a chance it might have improved the dining experience when served hot, but we didn't get that opportunity. Instead receiving warm, at best, across the board. We were absolutely forgotten and perhaps once the water was spilled, which no one said anything negative about, she decided it wasn't going to be a great experience and mailed it in. This was easily my most disappointing dining experience of 2023 and likely longer. I can't recall leaving a less than positive review, but today was earned. 1/5.

Going from one of my favorite places to absolutely DISAPPOINTED in their service! I came for brunch and to do some work on 6/2/24. I was sat a dirty table nor did I have any utensils to eat with..(when I got them, they were dirty). I proceeded to ask if they had wifi and the server went to get the manager to assist me. He sat down and stated "you need WiFi, you can go to Starbucks". Then he asked "what kind of work are you going to do" I proceeded to say "some lesson plans because I'm a teacher". He sat and tried to show me how connect through his phone..which I proceeded to show him how those options were given to me on my laptop! Next thing he tells me is "well connect to the pub WiFi" ours must not work, idk what to tell you.. People have been complaining about it". I felt as if he really didn't want to help me. He never once offered to connt me to their ACTUAL wifi which they clearly have because there's an entire DJ here playing music from his computer!!! I asked for my eggs to be over medium and they were fried really hard and my chicken was dry.. I've never had a bad experience like this at this location! If I hadn't paid two hours for parking as well as ordered my drinks, I would gotten up and left! He needs to GO! OAN: the DJ is amazing

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently dined at Bar Louie on 11th Ave. in Nashville, and it was a fantastic experience! We started with the chicken nachos as an appetizer, which were absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the Voodoo Pasta, and it was phenomenal—full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Our server, Dustin, made the evening even more enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us warmly and was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. His efficiency and friendly demeanor truly stood out. I give him a 10 out of 10 for his excellent service. Highly recommend Dustin and Bar Louie for great food and exceptional service!

The food really was great. We went around 11 a.m. and ordered off the brunch menu. I had the breakfast burrito which was recommended by Jordan, who was an awesome waiter. Fiancée had the Southern Clucker - biscuits and gravy with fried chicken on top. Large portion sizes and plenty of TVs. Had an awesome time.

This place was able to get our party of 12 in really quick. Every other place was 2 hours. The atmosphere was great but the service took a little awhile and so did the food. It was worth the wait though! BACON & EGG STREET TACOS three per order, white corn tortillas, scrambled eggs, cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, avocado cream. pico de gallo, jalapeños, salsa, brunch potatoes - The tortillas where authentic and great. CHICKEN & BACON AVOCADO WRAP grilled chicken breast, applewood smoked bacon, sliced avocado, grape tomatoes, house greens, cilantro, Tajin™ tortilla strips, smoked onion ranch, toasted flour tortilla, served with fries or tots - So good! definitely recommend the brunch! the mimosas are great. halli was the best waitress. she accommodated our food restrictions with no problem. will definitely be back!

Party of 9 on a Sunday evening, it was not busy, but it took a few minutes for anyone to seat us. Waitress we had also was not very attentive to the table and needs of the table. Did bare minimum if not less towards some guests. Food took long to come, especially for not being busy on a Sunday evening. My wings were good. I ordered two flavors, but only received one (Thai chili). No one seem to complain about their food as much as they did needing service or refill on a drink. Ambiance was big and clean. Restrooms were clean. Not bad, but if visiting the area may be more satisfied and happier with another restaurant in the area as there is much more to choose from.

I've been here twice and both times sucked. Gross bathrooms with water on the floor, rude servers, long wait times. Not worth it at all. I would rather wait somewhere else for 2 hours than get a quick table here.

Don't come here the reviews of service are correct. We came in past the lunch hour on a Thursday, told to sit wherever we would like sat at a table for over 10mins and were never greeted or approached. Place was not busy at all. We literally were looking at this place on yelp and saw pics of the food and we're going to give it a shot with drinks and food despite the reviews of bad service. Yelp reviewers have it spot on. SERVICE SUCKED. Go across the street to The Pub way better service.

We came in Thursday night at nearly 1:30am and the place was still poppin'! We sat at the bar and I think Jordan was our server? Very personable dude and great service! We ordered their loaded tots, spinach dip and wings. Everything was really good. We really enjoyed the jalapeño honey wings. It was the perfect balance between sweet and heat - and it was actually spicy. Our bill came out to $50ish? Which was pretty cheap for Nashville! Great place to grab food or a late night drink!

Stopped in here 2x while in Nashville early afternoon. 1st time during happy hour. They have a drink that's all me called Effen Good, with cucumber vodka,agave,mint,lime&cucumber Sooo good!!!! If you scan the barcode on the napkin holder(I think that's what it is) you answer a few questions & get a free app! Service needs attention, sitting at the bar I shouldn't have to flag you down,but we still want back on St Pattys day, but only bcuz we were bar hopping, had 1 beer, no food&left. I don't think I'm the only one sitting there that felt this way, but I would go back & try something food the next time I'm there. Everyone has an off day.

Great food, great service and fantastic ambiance we will be back! Also this is the perfect spot to have a cocktail and watch the game or relax on the patio!

The waitress was rude for a moment (turned out to be nicer after), there was unknown debris floating in our water, and the drinks were not made well. I got an espresso martini and I'm convinced it was just water with a touch of coffee and milk. Also, this isn't the restaurants fault, but there was also not a single customer in the whole establishment besides my party, so the vibes were overall bad.

Sat at the bar with 6 of my friends and we were all served by Wade who KILLED IT! He has the best personality and made our experience an 11/10. Highly recommend. We hate we don't live in town because we wish we could see Wade again!

This place was amazing! The environment is fun and very clean! The food was absolutely amazing. We had an order of broadway bacon... the brown sugar, cayenne pepper and maple syrup made this some of the best bacon I have ever had! The flavors in the ultimate breakfast burrito we so delicious! The red and green salsa made it even better. And then the Kickin Bloody Mary was just that .... Kickin! Amazing food and restaurant! Our server - Bri was the best and most pleasant person I have encountered in a long time!

Went here to meet a friend and have a few drinks. Place is nice right in the middle of the gulch area and definitely has a relaxing atmosphere. The bartender was very personable and friendly in general. I dont remember her name but i do know that she likes Black Oink (i spelled it correctly lol) and her bf likes Twice i believe. I would definitely go again and the drink prices are relevant to the area and what you get.

This is about what I expected for a chain (that filed for bankruptcy once before). It was loud, but we were seated right away in a Friday, so that was nice. Our server was nice and attentive & got our orders right. It was just hard to hear because the speakers were so loud. They have a large bar and beer selection, though their taps aren't all listed on the menu. There's lots of televisions, too, but the high ceilings and lighting makes it not feel like a sports bar. They have a varied menu - I got the "that's my jam" burger with chicken & no cheese, plus a side of zucchini. The zucchini was good (spears roasted and seasoned - though I thought it seemed steamed, but I love the vegetable either way), and my sandwich didn't have any of the garlic aioli on it, so I had to ask for it. It actually barely had any "bourbon old fashioned jam" on it either, which is fine because it was more like strawberry Smucker's jelly than a jam I'd expect with a dinner burger like this. The chicken was a little dry and the bacon was good (obviously because it's bacon). Bun was toasted, but nothing special about it. I know it was a Friday night, but they weren't crazy busy and it took a very long time for food to come out. There are so many better options in the Gulch area, I'd rather go elsewhere.

Left at the door for ten minutes because it says wait to be seated. Then seated and told kitchen is open wait another ten minutes to be told kitchen is closed "deal With it ". Should add I am handicap for all This. Never again.

Great food, great drinks, great staff! I ordered the salmon sliders which were so good! I must've ordered around three of their "Diva" drink, their take on a cosmo, soo good. The staff was friendly and helpful. They suggested areas and spots to check out.

Bar Louie's parking choices are street, private lot or garage, no valet services available. Our waitress was attentive which was great. The atmosphere is inviting and open sitting is available unless business is busier than normal. For me, my food and drinks were GREAT!!

The food was cold and you can tell the fries and buns we pre-prepared and not heated in hours. Waited at the door to be seated and finally seated ourselves. On a Saturday night during a Tennessee football game they had no tonic and out of select wine. We live in the neighborhood and this place is not good!

The chicken nachos came out cold, but they were replaced with a new order quickly and without difficulty. The salmon sliders were supposed to come with french fries, but came out with tater tots instead. The mistake was quickly corrected with a hot, fresh order of french fries. Overall, the experience was enjoyable.

Very average experience. We stood at the hostess stand for about 10-15min before even being greeted. It was very clear they were understaffed for a Friday brunch rush. A long line was forming at the door when someone finally told us to sit at the table directly behind the hostess stand, which was fine, except we spent our whole meal being asked to shift our chairs for waitresses going inside/outside and people trying squeeze between our table and those standing at the bar. Our waitress was extremely nice but also extremely overwhelmed with all of her tables, which meant minimal check ins throughout the meal. The food was okay, but not impressive enough to warrant us making another visit anytime soon.

It's been a while since I've been to a Bar Louie, and I was blown away by the yummy (yummier) food! The flatbreads were so good, I couldn't pick a favorite. The chefs burger was insanely delicious. Truffle fries are a must order! Martini Monday is a perfect time to check them out, maybe have a seat on their patio and do some people watching in the Gulch.

My 3rd time here. When I walked in it wreaked of old bleach mop water (but I never saw a mop bucket) Luckily I carry Lysol Wipes in my purse, because I had to clean my table off. I debated between wings and pizza...I opted to get the Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza (easy order, right?) Apparently I should have read their menu more thoroughly, because my PEPPERONI Pizza had "Pickles" on it (GROSS) and I LOVE pickles, but they don't belong on my Pepperoni Pizza. Needless to say I was highly disappointed! I won't write them off because their Tater Tots and Doughnuts are very tasty! My waitress had the nerve to laugh when I told her that I didn't like it!

Horrible service. After an hour of waiting on our bartender we had to have a server check us out. Bartender blatantly ignored us numerous times and was on his phone the entire time. Multiple groups walked out before ever getting served.

Terrible service and mediocre food. Drinks took forever. Had to ask three times for water and never received. Food was lukewarm. Came here because the wait was long at other locations and makes sense why we were able to get right in here.

We were desperately hungry after a morning of apartment hunting, and Milk and Honey down the street had over an hour wait. Overweight day drinkers in matching trucker hats watching various sporting events should have been a red flag. But we were famished. To the point; my Chicken Caesar Salad was so heavily dressed that halfway through choking it down it became a soggy, soupy mess that I couldn't finish. Croutons were scarce and slightly stale. Chicken was good. My son requested the burger medium rare and it was barely rare. Instead of a small bowl of ketchup with his fries he got a small bowl of butter. We thought it was mayo at first like you get in Europe, but it was butter. Our server disappeared for a long time, so we were not able to ask for ketchup until he was done with his burger. By that time, the fries were like cardboard that had been microwaved. Definitely the worst meal we had in Nashville.

Took a long time for us to get acknowledgment after walking in, even though the bar was practically empty. The bar top was very dirty. After we received our drinks the servers just sat down. No wonder nothing was clean. We finished our drink and quickly left.

Service is -0, food is -1 and ambiance is 5 Server belly button was all out and staring at me, looked kinda dirty. Also the servers serve from behind your back not the front like normal servers.

For starters, I would have left no stars if it was an option. The bartender checked on us once in a 45 minute span. Had numerous groups leave the bar due to having to wait so long.

Stopped in for brunch. Just wanted a quick bite and everything else had huge lines and this place was half empty. Note to management at Bar Louie: Maybe there is reason for this. Let me start by saying that the food and service was good. The ambience was completely nuts. The music was SO loud! We stayed because we were so hungry. It was the type of atmosphere I would expect at a happy hour serving half price drinks. NOT at brunch when you want a cup of coffee and nice conversation. Also, guys, you realize you're in Nashville, right. Nashville. So, hard rock and some other modern crap is not why people come hear. Know your audience's musical taste and turn the music way down.

We were sat around 8:00pm on a Saturday night. The server was very friendly and attentive through our whole meal. She recommended me a specialty "EFFEN mint and cucumber martini", it was very refreshing! We also ordered the Bourbon BBQ Burger with fries, which was very tasty, and the chicken club sandwich, which has a nice savory taste to it, with the Mac and cheese and a Cesar salad. All in all, a great atmosphere, the staff looked happy and enthusiastic, food was fast, service was great, 5 STARS!

Horrible service! Waiting to be seated when there were several tables available and no other customers. Asked to place an order for Happy Hour specials right away before it was too late. After ordering appetizers and food was brought to the table together. When we received our bill lone of our happy hour items were half off. When asked for a price adjustment the manger was not very accommodating. There are several other restaurants in The Gulch area. Eat somewhere else.

My experience here was very interesting. As far as service goes, it was really bad. I sat at the bar and was about half full. The bartender who waited on me seemed very unhappy. He was just all about, "what do you want". He wouldn't recommend a drink and just kinda looked at me. I ordered a grand lemon drop and it was delicious. He took my dinner order and left me alone. Never filled my water glass. It was like I wasn't even there. I watched as he interacted with others and it was the same. Just annoyed. For food I ordered the hot honey chicken. It took 45 minutes and there was still no food. I listened as the manager apologized to somebody behind me for their late food, so I was pretty sure the kitchen was just backed up. My sandwich was DELICIOUS, and the fries were AMAZING! It just sucks that the service was so bad. I ordered a beer and the guy just kinda slammed it down in front of me. It had about 6 ounces of head. I almost just waited for it to lose the head so I could show him he poured me a 10 oz beer, but I knew he wouldn't notice. There is one bright side of it all... one bartender, a younger guy, was walking around being nice to people. He even introduced himself to me and asked me questions. He shook my hand when I left. That was AWESOME!!! I wonder if the star rating would have been higher if he had been my bartender from the start.

Everything was completely booked in the gulch. (Hour and half wait time) We happen to walk by Bar Louie. The staff were welcoming, the food was good, our server Wade was amazing. He was patient with us, funny and polite and recommended food options. We all will be coming back. If you stop by ask for Wade as your server you won't be disappointed.

Great lunch with Shanna as our server. We had mimosas and enjoyed a beautiful fall day with great service. Food was good and drinks were fresh. The Sangria was delicious.

My server Sydney was so sweet and very attentive. 10/10 would visit a million times over! If you want a good drink and good food this is definitely the spot in the gulch !

This is the avocado toast. I recommend only if you want a teaspoon amount of fake avocado spread on white bread and a fried egg

This place is a joke. Today is St. Patrick's Day 2024 and we went in to find a HALF Empty restaurant/bar. We sat down at an empty bar and were told to get up and wait 35 min. I asked where is all the people on the waiting list and there wasn't any. The biggest drinking holiday in the year and they couldn't sit two people in a half empty bar. I can only imagine what their rent is and there were more than 20 people after us that didn't bother to wait and left. We waited another 10 minutes and decided this place is a joke and went across the street to a real Irish pub. They were standing lonely, and seem to figure it out just fine. I have no idea how these guys are going to make it with this location serving a half empty restaurant. Good luck.

Nashville's best kept secret! I love the atmosphere. Stopping here when I travel back to Nashville next weekend.

Think this could have been the worst meal i've ever had in my life. Burger may as well have been a hockey puck. They possibly got the water from the toilet as well. Peanut Butter milk stout also horrible. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. ps nachos were decent at best.

Our server was friendly and helpful, however, we sat at our table for probably 30min before approached. Then after ordering, waited 1.5hr to receive our food. One girls food was ice cold, mine had a hair on a piece of bacon (rest was good tho), another girls food had very little avocado (avocado toast), another girls frittata was cold... it looked like literally only one server was working today. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, I feel for her and wish I could have hopped up to help. If it weren't for the terrible waits at surrounding restaurants, we wouldn't have came here. Drinks & atmosphere were probably the only thing good.

Honestly I don't even blame the servers cause they work tirelessly, the problem is that there's only like 2 lol If the location wasn't as good as it is, I think this place would be closed in a week. Hard pass lol

Service is trash... got sat very quick and was not approached for 15 minutes until we grabbed someone's attention. Not to mention we were never handed menus either. Food looked horrible but tasted a bit better than it looked. Once again service was terrible... took an hour for our food and our server forgot our appetizer after we mentioned it 2 times.

We purchased their NYE package - we should have known it was going to be awful when we walked in and there were only 8 names on the list. The hostess was borderline rude to a man who came in after us, telling him it was a $25 cover or $100 for the package. All while we waited. In a mostly empty restaurant. My water had a fly in it. The hostess told us our package included two selections of "bar bites" but when we tried to order we were told nope - only the late night menu on the back, which was much smaller. Our package came with six free drinks, but the bar was so slow that there was literally no way we could have ordered six in two hours. My husbands margarita was awful, my tito's and cranberry had very little Tito's and they took 20 minutes to get. In a bar that was not busy at all. It was honestly so awful, we gave our drink tickets to another table and left before midnight to at least go somewhere that had some energy. It was honestly the biggest waste of money I've ever spent and it completely killed our NYE.

Horrible service. Our waitress was too interested in having fun with friends. She was the only waitress on the floor. This was not fair to her. And we all got the service that followed with just one server. We didn't seem to matter. No pizza after 10 pm. So disappointing Owners should be ashamed
