Rome’s Best Food Neighborhood Is San Lorenzo—Here's Where to Go | Bon Appétit

"A time-capsule café for an authentic Roman caffè ritual, where you can order an espresso, cappuccino, or a caffè corretto and follow the old-school protocol of paying at the register then presenting the receipt to the barista. The interior evokes the ’60s with a zinc bar, formica floor, and dusty pennants, but the best move is to sip under the pergola-covered courtyard while enjoying a view of the nearby church bell tower." - ByKatie Parla

Local small place, no view, yesterday's pastries, no eggs or something else for breakfast. Decent coffee. No reasons to be mentioned as "One of the best places in Rome for breakfast" at all. Went there only because of google recommendation, were disappointed. The only plus - it's cheap (6,60 for 2 coffees, milk and 3 croissants).

A haven of shade and cool drinks. We visited in July, and understandably, it was hot. A cold drink and authentic gellato were very much the order of the day. Another gem that provides an ideal location to relax amidst the hussle and bustle of San Lorenzo

Classic local cafe. The covered patio is a great spot to get some shade. Remember to bring cash, no credit cards. Most of my experiences there were positive, however, one time the women server was unreasonably upset when I adjusted my chair a few inches ( I needed a little more space for my legs). I quickly moved it back once she started yelling at me, but it made me wonder why she felt the need to yell and scream at me from across the way, instead of just asking me politely, like a normal person. I suppose she was having a bad day, but it was a little puzzling since the reaction was so disproportionate. Weird. I never went back after that.

Great place to sit outside and enjoy an ice coffee.

Here you can find typical Italian breakfast foods – cornetti, toast with jam, apricot biscuits – or choose from fresh juices or smoothies

Off the beaten track but interesting area, simple environment, friendly service and nice vibe. Honest staff returned 10€ i'd stupidly dropped - milla grazie 😀

No dogs, even outside! Heartless people. First bar in Italy, rejecting my dog
