Bar Mercato Review - Downtown - Boston - The Infatuation

"Bar Mercato is a hotel restaurant downtown that, thankfully, doesn’t feel like a hotel restaurant. It claims it’s a pan-European small plates place, which, based on the menu, seems to be another word for American. If you’re in the neighborhood and want a place for a business lunch that doesn’t make you feel like you’re on the set of Wall Street, or you want drinks and a light bite after work, this is a good option, especially if you start by splitting the pierogis." - Dan Secatore

A cozy place in the centre of Bologna, with great spritzes and a great vibe. We stopped here on a Thursday evening (July 18) for aperitivos and had the best waiter - he was extremely attentive, and also so so kind and helpful, absolutely lovely guy. The owner was also super friendly and all smiles :) Their prices are pretty average, I’d say even a bit lower than the general consensus in the area. Also, it was absolutely full of people who were all enjoying themselves, which is a testament to how great of a place this bar is! Definitely would recommend their place for a quick drink and a chat with friends! P.S. their stracciatella toast with anchovies is a must-try!

Amazing cocktail bar! Best cocktail Clover club! Highly recommended! No reservation needed you can stand outside holding your drink. The barman is so cool, he will suggest you the beat cocktail for your taste! He suggested me Clover club! Amazing!🫶🏼

Unbelievable, the guys are crazy accommodating. Atmosphere is loose without mess. 10/10, if you're in mercato dell'erba go there.

this a wine bar.they have good wine. Come here if you want to drink good quality wine at affordable prices. Good welcoming atmosphere, a place where is possible to chat. They offer some free snacks at aperitiv time but that is not the main reason people come here.

It used to be really good but since it's changed ownership it has gone downhill. Staff are not welcoming at all, drinks are low quality, the wine is not served how it should be, and yet prices are inexplicably high. It cannot and should not call itself a wine bar anymore. What a pity!

Yelp
Wonderful little bar. I'm n'aide and outside seating off the beaten path. Difficult to order as they speak mostly Italian. But isn't that why you're in Bologna? It's where the locals are. It's right over from the fresh pasta place I reviewed.
