Ben Poremba’s Iberian spot is moody and flirtatious—tinned seafood, sherry, and garlicky gambas served under soft light. St. Louis Magazine and the Riverfront Times praise its transportive Barcelona energy.

I rarely leave Google reviews unless a restaurant is truly exceptional or the experience is disappointing. This place is one of my absolute favorites in St. Louis. I moved to New York a few months ago, but I still find myself missing the food here. I’ve visited multiple times with friends and family, and every time, the atmosphere has been amazing. The food is absolutely outstanding—it has a soul to it, and you can tell how much care and effort the chef puts into every dish. I also had the best cabbage I’ve ever had here! Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

WOW! Bar Moro has blown me away. This restaurant has been on my list for a while and I am still smiling from the great experience. Walking in, I loved the aesthetic and vibes of the place. The decor and lighting (while almost too dim to read a menu) really sets the vibe for an intimate setting. As for the food and drink, we had a great time taking recommendations from our amazing server. The two glasses of sherry were so different and delightful. While I can’t remember the names, mine was sweet and almost like a port wine while my partner’s had a nice twang and dry finish. To eat, we had the mohamara - a sauce with bread - and the scallops that come in a tin. Yes you read that correctly, a tin. Seems odd but they were absolutely delicious! We ended the night with a flan and I couldn’t have asked for a better evening :)

The attention to detail, service, and execution are all second to none at Bar Moro. Chef Ben goes above and beyond to dress each plate as if he is making dinner for his own family. We could not have been more blown away with the quality of food and flavor combinations. Bar Moro is a dark horse for my favorite STL restaurant. It offers a unique dining experience that you will not find elsewhere in the area. I recommend trying the tuna belly tinned fish, branzino, and roasted carrot salad. Cannot wait to dine here again and visit Chef Ben! Thank you for making us feel at home.

Google
We are on a quest to try all of Ben Poremba’s restaurants and this was another win in my book. The canned items were good, I’m not a huge fan of canned seafood but the tuna in olive oil was really yummy. We got the cheese board and that was very good as well—quite pricey at $30 for what you get. The chicken was probably one of the best chicken dishes I have ever had.

Google
Beautiful restaurant. It's very dark and there are candles sprinkled throughout and a crystal net. We sat at the bar which looks into the kitchen. It is a very small space and lots of hustle and bustle around you. There's a complimentary coat check. We split 5 small plates and shrimp as a main between two people and were very full, could've done without one or two small plates. But they were all delicious. They have a nice sherry and vermouth list, great gin cocktails and others. Excellent drinks and beautiful glassware. And excellent service.

Google
everything about the atmosphere is on point from the decor to the music to the lit candles. all of our dishes were full of flavor and plating was done with lots of intention. our server zach paced us well and took good care of us.

The entire staff was amazing! Had to try the world’s most expensive cured meat, Iberian ham. Nutty, buttery flavor. Worth it! Christina recommended some great food pairings and brought out extra bread. Courtney recommended an exemplary full bodied red wine. They have a wonderful assortment of canned seafood that pairs well with alcohol. Sturgeon was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Complete with a delicious garlic/mushroom sauce. I went as a walk in for a seat at the bar a bit after 4 pm. 10/10 would go again!

Google
Went there for a special occassion as a first visit and loved it. Quiet, intimate atmosphere with attentive and friendly staff. The food was outstanding - salted cod croquetas and the Basque cheesecake stood out. Great Spanish wine list. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Sometimes the best dining experiences happen on a whim, and that was exactly the case with my visit to Bar Moro this past Friday night. With a rare opening in my schedule and a craving for something new, I made a same-day reservation. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. We were seated immediately, offered water, and given a helpful overview of the menu by the server behind the bar. The menu is divided into small and large plates, with a focus on sharing. Following the server's recommendation, we ordered four small plates (carrots, anchovies, meatballs, peppers) and one large plate (roasted rabbit), pacing ourselves throughout the meal. We came in quite hungry, and this was more than enough food for two. Every dish built on the previous, which made for a great tasting experience. Just when we thought we were done, we made room for the soufflé de queso, which was the perfect ending. A complimentary taste of dessert wine paired with it was a thoughtful touch that elevated the experience. Overall, I was thoroughly happy with the food, service, and ambiance at Bar Moro.

Yelp
Wow! What a treat! We found our way there based on the reviews, and we certainly were steered in the right way! The atmosphere was a gorgeous, intimate space in a nice residential neighborhood. The service was sublime. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and made great recommendations. The food was FANTASTIC! Lots of varieties of foods, and every single thing was incredible.

Yelp
Walking in to get seated at the worst table in the restaurant was not pleasant, but is what it is. Service was decent. The Jamón Ibérico wasn't as good as I've had in Manhattan where they shave it off the leg right in front of you. I'm led to believe they get presliced packages of it, specially for the size and look of the plate. The rabbit was torched beyond belief and was drier than a popcorn fart. Flavor was good, just texture of the meat felt like it was pressure cooked and then tried to add moisture with the other ingredients. I'm thinking it was braised and not roasted and they took it out of the braising liquid and it dried it out. Server looked like an extra from Requiem for a Dream and a bit pretentious. All and all, won't be returning and if I do I will bring my Lamborghini and tell Lurch to park it.

Yelp
Went for dinner with friends. The service was top notch. Items cleared from table after apps & settings replaced. We were a group of 6 & we all had cocktails, small & large plates. The back circular table was nice & cozy. We tried a but of everything. Carrot salad Patatas bravas Mohamara & bread Chicken dish w apricot olive & caper Rabbit dish w sausage & tomato sauce Beef market special Lamb with pomegranate sauce Hazelnut crusted halibut was fish special

Yelp
Okay, first of all the vibes are insane. Everywhere has the dimly lit thing going on nowadays which I love, but Bar Moro is truly distinguished with what they've accomplished. It is rustic, teetering on gothic. Amazing vibes for a nice little date night. Insanely unique with furs draped over chairs, garnishes out; and a semi open kitchen concept. The service was solid. We just popped in for 1 drink so we did not get the full experience, but some of their bites looked unreal. Our drinks were solid. I rolled with a house martini and my friend got a spanish sour. They were overall good; but not my favorite. The martini is a dirty martini riff which isnt exactly my speed but conceptually well executed by the bar team. Same with the spanish sour; it had great flavor, just a little unbalanced for me. Once more, still solid drinks just not in the elite category. Would love to back for some more drinks just to enjoy the vibes. Such a dope spot. I wish the weather was warmed for our visit because the patio seating setup is beautiful!

Yelp
Bar Moro is getting 5 stars for the consistent product I receive whenever I try any of their food items. New dishes, repeat dishes, they are always hitting the mark. I love sitting at the bar because I get to watch the chefs in action, but it does get warm on occasion (you're next to an oven, this should be obvious ) but maybe wear layers to have the best experience! The menu does change seasonly and they have GREAT specials. I was here last night and plan on making an appearance again on Friday. Last night's noms were: the bacon wrapped dates, the seasonalchicken dish, and a must have dessert: burnt cheesecake. (This is served warm and it's delightful.) They also have an amazing vermut selection and the mancino sakura is a MUST. It's like spring in a cup. I've had multiple dishes here over the past few months, rabbit, lamb, apps, tinned fish. It NEVER disappoints and the staff are always so friendly and fun to chat with. Couple tips: 1. Share or plan on taking food home as leftovers. Order from multiple sections of the menu and split things. This is the place you want to try more of. 2. Dress in layers if you plan on sitting at the bar, like I said, sometimes it gets warm but it does not make for a negative experience in anyway. Just plan on it. 3. Make Reservations. Especially on a weekend.

Yelp
Bar Moro was a pretty nice experience. The place is tucked between other restaurants on Wydown and was somewhat small but our dining experience was wonderful in a big way. We had reservations on a Friday night. The place does get busy so if you're planning on coming in during a busier evening, making a reservation would ensure you can get in. We ordered some of the salt cod croquetas which were fine. The grilled piquillo peppers though were quite wonderful with the anchovies. Probably my favorite of the 2 small plates we ordered. My husband ordered the Spanish omelet. He liked it, he said it was different. I had the fish which was delicious. My entrée was quite large so I ended up taking the rest home for the next day. Service was fine. The food came fairly quickly and our server came by to check on us occasionally. I would come back here again and try their other offerings.

Yelp
Hubby made a last minute reservations here and we came with another couple. 1)house bread was delicious and fresh but I wish there was some olive oil 2)tomatoes with bread -good bread minus some burnt parts 3)dates and bacon, although not novel but still delicious 4)since this is wks after we went, I don't remember the main dish special 5)unfortunately, I don't remember the cocktail but it was tasty 6)octopus was good

Yelp
I've been here twice and both times I've been blown away. This place inspired my love for Spanish canned seafood.. absolutely ground-breaking flavors. Today we had the codfish, mussels, clams, and scallops - blew us away. For the main, we got their new pork dish -- sliced thin and magical. Luciano was absolutely the highlight of the night. The level of service and his ability to tell stories and transport you away , is mesmerizing Just a real culinary adventure, topped w quality sherry and superb service. Worth every penny and deserves a Michelin

Yelp
This place has great vibes! It is small and intimate with an open kitchen behind the bar where you can watch all the food being prepared. Service is always top tier and the food is very tasty. The menu changes seasonally with creative and unique dishes. This week, we got the pork loin which was phenomenal!

Yelp
The best martini - their house - I've ever had. It's expensive and crowded but the food and drinks are delicious and the vibe is upscale and fun. Money well spent.

Yelp
Some friends and I had dinner here over the weekend and it was delightful. The space is very intimate and beautifully decorated. A large mural on the wall and the overall darker tones of the space balance the open kitchen/bar area. It's a very sexy space and would be a perfect date night spot. My friends and I shared quite a few dishes and all of them were delicious. Roasted lamb, chicken thighs, peas, carrots, potatoes, jamón, bacon wrapped dates, antipasti, etc. We were all full and happy at the end ... and thankfully saved room for a few bites of dessert. We tried the churros and the Basque cheesecake (which some of us have been texting about this morning because it was so phenomenal). I also tried a gin and tonic (#7), a glass of red, a glass of white, and the best espresso martini I've ever had. I don't often drink those, but this end of the meal cocktail was *divine*. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and recommended many of our favorite dishes. Overall one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant in Clayton - plenty of street parking and fun/dark vibe inside the restaurant. There are these really neat wireless touch lamps on each table with different light settings, in case you need a little extra light to see menus, or anything else. It isn't a huge restaurant, so I would recommend making a reservation - we went on a Monday night and it was packed by 6:30PM! The service was great, our waitress recommended some great food and special options, food was delicious. We had a variety of appetizers and a few drinks and dessert as well. My friends tried the pickled onion dirty martini (Martini Don Ernesto), they loved it! They also loved their martinis so much, we got a plate of marinated olives. There is complimentary bread also available, great for dipping into any saucy dishes or just chewing on throughout your meal. We got the special cheese (Pastura Truffle Cheese) - it was $40 (we didn't know), it was good but I really didn't think it was worth that much. It came with crunchy bread which was good too. We got 2 orders of the bacon wrapped dates - there are 3 pieces per plate, they were laid atop a pool of balsamic vinegar, I could have done without that - maybe something sweeter (like a date syrup) to get an extra dip of the bacon wrapped dates, they were overall very good though, well made. We also got the Jamon Iberico - I didn't try this but my friends loved it! Albondigas were wonderful, 3 meatballs - very soft, had structure but also spread well onto the bread with the tomato sauce. For me, my favorite dish was the patatas bravas - the potatoes and sauce were incredible, absolutely loved it and would come back for that one dish alone! Finally, for dessert, we finished with the cheesecake - it wasn't your normal cheesecake, it was soft and warm - delicious! I was so full by the end, but the churros and flan also looked delicious from the menu! Thanks Bar Moro for a great experience, we had a lovely girls night out!

Yelp
I had such an incredible dining experience here. When you look at the menu, you might not think "this is a must try", but it really is! The ambiance is fun, moody, and sexy. The service was amazing and I had the best halibut of my life! I will definitely be back! Everything was delicious from the pan con tomato, the canned fish, the shisito peppers, but the halibut won the show. I cant wait to come back!

Yelp
My fiancé surprised me with a dinner here and the experience was so lovely. We did have to wait a little bit at the bar for our table to be ready. The restaurant is small so you are pretty close to your neighbors. We started with drinks and ordered a few small plates and 1 large to share. The bacon wrapped dates were a little too well done for us. The pumpkin and lamb were our favorite. The flavors were great! We could have skipped the patatas bravas. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert and I really liked it because it wasn't too sweet. It is nothing like a normal cheesecake. The espresso martini was also really good. I would love to come back and try the other dishes.

Yelp
Incredible ambiance as soon as you walk in. It's small and perfect. Intimate. Cozy. Beautiful touches. Great service. Everyone is smart and attentive and quietly alert. The food is next level. So good. Tapas. The drinks amazing and curated. Get the carrots.

Yelp
Finally, I made it here! The girlfriend and I went here to celebrate our 2 years together, and what a great experience we had. The one negative I'll note is that we VERY much enjoy sitting at the bar of a restaurant. It allows us to talk with the staff (in the case of Moro the chefs too) and get better recommendations, and hear their passion for what they do. While we had a great experience talking with the chef, I feel there were way too many seats at the bar that it felt cramped. Thankfully, soon after getting our drinks, people were leaving, so we were able to space out a bit more. The drinks here were absolutely incredible. We both ordered a gin and tonic. I got the three, which was dill and cucumber, and my girlfriend, the four, which featured gin with pea blossom and lavender. Our culinary experience only went up from here. We split the roasted carrot salad, and then for entrees, we shared the tuna Moro and the roasted rabbit. Both were excellent and had a beautiful presentation, but the Rabbit dish is something I'll dream about. The tenderness of the rabbit, along with the sausage and sauce that came with it were absolutely amazing. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and our experience was definitely on par with all the other spots we've been to in the Bengelina Group. I highly recommend you put Bar Moro on your list!

Yelp
Incredible meal. Been dying to come here for a while, and it did not disappoint. Starters were decent, with the mohamara being the standout. Packed with flavor, could eat the dip on its own. The lamb was a strong entree option, but honestly a slight let-down given expectations. It was just a bit too rich. The rabbit was the clear winner between the two. Smokey, tender, and super flavorful. Might turn some people off understandably, but the taste and texture was like that of chicken. Not gamey at all. Dessert was another highlight. The soufflé literally melted in your mouth. It was light, creamy, and cheesy with a subtle sweetness. Definitely a must-try, might be my favorite dessert in St. Louis. Their churros were also fantastic, being perfectly crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Overall excellent with hits across the board. One of the best restaurants St. Louis has to offer.
google avatar

Jessiree J.

Yelp
We had the bacon wrapped dates, roasted carrot salad, grilled octopus, and the stuffed branzino. Churros and basque cheesecake Cocktails:Burlesque and Spanish punch. Everything was delicious! Our waiter was helpful and the ambiance was great. Perfect for date/gno/solo/birthday experience.
google avatar

A. F.

Yelp
Service and ambiance are amazing. Food was a Moroccan/spanish cuisine, not my favorite cuisine but that's my personal thoughts. Grilled octopus is seasonal and is a must try! Flan De Cafe for dessert! A lot of free street parking.
google avatar

Farrah S.

Yelp
Came here for girls dinner earlier this year and again recently. Food is great! Ambience is a vibe and I love sitting at the bar! My only negative is they take the plates away a bit too quickly, I wanted to enjoy my albondigas sauce with the bread and felt a bit rushed as they came to clear the plate
google avatar

Noel F.

Yelp
I've visited Bar Moro twice this year, and both times have been excellent all around. The staff members find a way to make it special - most recently when having drinks and dessert at the bar with a friend, the bartender poured us samples of vermouths that paired with our desserts. They were stellar and such a nice touch! Overall, the establishment is unlike anywhere I've been in STL. It's dark and moody but very cozy. My first visit was a reunion with a cousin, and I think we accidentally were there open to close! The staff here really are incredible and the vibe of the place reminds me of places I've been to in NYC and LA. I think Bar Moro is up there on my list of favorites.

Yelp
My wife and I went here for our 3rd Year Wedding Anniversary. I heard about this restaurant through an Instagram influencer. From the moment we stepped in the restaurant the aromatic smells encapsulated every inch of the place. We sat at the bar waiting for our table and once we ordered our food it was worth the wait! The waiter recommended getting one item out of each section. We listened and it was the perfect amount of food. Each bite was delectable and contained flavors that packed a Mediterranean punch. This restaurant is on the pricier side, but is great for special events! I highly recommend this place and my wife and I will be back to celebrate another milestone in our life.
google avatar

Jacob T.

Yelp
An incredible date night destination! Bar Moro has long been on our must-try list and it did not disappoint. It was very apparent the staff (particularly the head chef) love their craft and take pride in their work. Bar Moro's take on Mediterranean cuisine was fresh, classic, and clean. While we were hard pressed to choose a favorite dish, we were particularly fond of the bacon-wrapped dates, drowned peas, and patatas brava. The cocktails were also incredible - special mention to the agua de Sevilla. The atmosphere of the restaurant was comforting and lively. Service was quick, attentive, and kind. We will certainly be returning for more!
google avatar

Erika L.

Yelp
I always love coming here, one of the great restaurants amongst the others on Wydown. This was a last minute decision to come but we luckily managed to snag two seats at the bar. I love their wine choices- I went with a Tempranillo. We decided to get a lot of small plates which included oysters, an oyster shooter, bacon wrapped dates, croquetas, bikini sandwiches, meatballs and a salad. They were all great but the meatballs were definitely something to rave about! The bikini is definitely very filling. Love this restaurant and love the ambiance!
google avatar

Michaela E.

Yelp
Bar Moro was the best! We could only get a reservation at 4:30, which was early but that's alright! I went with three other friends and we ordered both drinks and several different dishes! It was all great and I loved that when we ordered an app that only came with 3 of one thing they asked if we wanted four. That's great service! Their drinks are so fun and different! It's a very nice spot for date night or a girls night out! I highly recommend getting a reservation because if you don't you will probably have to sit outside if you go on the weekend
google avatar

Yelp
Two must-haves: Sangria & Pan Con Tomate Are you feeling date night & fancy? Bar Moro is an excellent spot! Bar Moro is a restaurant serving Spanish artisanal dishes. It's beautiful inside, adorned with furs on each chair.

Yelp
This was my second time visiting Bar Moro and it was just as wonderful as I remembered! The cocktails are amazing and I'm slowly working my way through their menu. This time I got the Gin & Tonic 2 to start and followed it with the La Rosita. The first visit, we ordered large plates, but the small plates and tinned fish are so amazing we stuck to those this time. We shared the mohamara and pan con tomate deluxe (favorites), tomate, piquillos, and jamon iberico. The tinned fish menu is extensive, but our server was pretty knowledgeable and helped us narrow it down to the squid, mussels and octopus. Everything was so flavorful! Especially the tomatoes on the pan con tomate and jamon. Truly wonderful! Bar Moro is my go to for all special occasions.

Yelp
Bar Moro is the star in Ben Poremba's restaurant stable. I was wowed at every turn on our visit. We had dinner at the bar on Good Friday--St. Louis Catholic so no meat. While the ham on the bar looked AH-MAZ-ING, I was fully satisfied with my meal. We started with oysters that were fresh and tasty. The oyster meat had previously removed from the shells and the shells were cleaned, so the oysters slipped right out. We also enjoyed the egg plant dish. While I expected baba ghanoush, this was every bit as delicious yet different. Charred egg plant was topped with several items and served with bread. So good!!! We also had tomato carpaccio. I'm not sure how the tomatoes were that flavorful in April, but I could eat that dish every night of the week. Bar Moro is joining my list of go to restaurants in the 314. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Yelp
Atmosphere 10/10 Very cozy, moody, and well curated design-- absolutely loved the inside. We thought it was so fun and unique that they offer Spanish conservas-- tinned fish was something new we had never tried before. Earned major points in that department. Overall, the food, drinks, and service were all "good." The Mohamara and chocolate torte were the tastiest & only items that blew us away. Better luck next time, maybe we needed to try different things!

Yelp
Our last night in St. Louis was amazing! We had dinner at Bar Moro and enjoyed a ridiculous amount of Spanish tapas. As a foodie with good taste, I can confidently say that this place is phenomenal! It's a swanky, sexy, and intimate restaurant with around 15 tables. The service was outstanding, almost as amazing as the food. You can't go wrong with a Tempranillo wine, and don't forget to ask your server about the off-menu items!
google avatar

Yelp
Bar Moro had been on my list to try for a while now. This is a Tapas restaurant so we ordered a few different things to try. We had the Mohamara, a spread made of walnut and red bell peppers, it was creamy and delicious. They came around with a basket of bread and served us slices to go with the Mohamara. We got the Gambas Al ajillo, which was cooked to perfection. We also got the Mar I Muntanya, Catalan-style roasted chicken with lobster sauce. For dessert, we got the Tart de Xocolata, the chocolate tart. It was good. For drinks, they have gin & tonics, cocktails, Sangrias and spritzers. They have an extensive wine menu as well. We tried the Gin & Tonic : three and Agua de Sevilla. Both were very good! Their service was prompt and good. Our server patiently explained and menu. She even gave us suggestions on portion sizes and if we should order more food. This place get packed so reservations are recommended. We were able to make reservations via Tock.

Yelp
I was dying to check this place out even before they opened. Finally got to visit and it was excellent. I got to try 3 diff tapas, anchovy toast, salt cod croquetas, and Jamon serrano toast. All very amazing. And tried couple of tinned seafoods; uni and small scallops. Comes with butter, lemon and bread. It was simple but flavorful. I would 10/10 recommend. Also tried gambas - excellent for bread dipping goes perfectly with cava. I always stuffed after so wasn't able to try anything else like their large plates. I would love to come back and try those next time!

Yelp
Underwhelming ..... not worth the hype. Won't be going back. The good: restaurant has a good atmosphere. It is dimly lit and gives a really cozy and romantic feel. The not-so-good: the food was subpar. - Garlic Shrimp-- they were overdone (rubbery) lacked flavor - Oysters - overall they were ok, nothing special and the mignonette was a vinaigrette hot sauce mix. - Bread Service - the bread was hard and there was nothing to dip it in and there was no butter offered - All entrees : chicken, Carne Asada, the ham sandwich with truffle and the chorizo all were bland which was a major disappointment. For being a new restaurant in town the server did not do a good job of explaining the menu. It's took prompting every time to ask on what his recommendation would be. Overall everything was lackluster and expensive.

Yelp
Ben Poremba is one of my favorite chefs in STL and his newest restaurant, Bar Moro, is nothing short of perfect! The decor is beautiful and sexy, the food is simply delicious, and the service is on point! Be sure to try a Sherry! Reservations necessary! My Favs: Tomato Carpaccio, Gambas al Ajillo, Cheesecake

Yelp
Bar Moro is such a worthwhile eating experience. I came with a friend for dinner and drinks at the bar top on a Friday night & the atmosphere is energizing & so welcoming! We tried 8 different dishes (oy vey was I full afterwards!), my favorites being the carne asada & jamon serrano toast. Yum. I ate them too quickly to get pictures but did snap a few of the gazpacho (a light, flavorful option) gambas (shrimp was cooked to perfection) & my cocktail of choice--the roja spritzer (a flirty fun lil drink). A special shout-out to the anchovy toast--try it, you won't be disappointed. The ambiance is very memorable--plenty of energy and a very happenin' place to be. The staff were all so incredibly friendly which made dinner that much more enjoyable. I'm excited to come back in the future & try new dishes--especially dessert. This time around, I was too full for another bite of anything!

Yelp
My husband and I have been dying to try Bar Moro ever since we heard of its opening and we were finally able to snag some reservations! Let's just say everything about this dining experience was spectacular. From the time we entered the doors and the hostess took my coat to coat check, to the time we were leaving, everything and everyone was incredible. Our server for the night was Danielle and she was amazing start to finish. She walked us through the menu and gave us suggestions/advice for what to order. We ordered 5 tapas, all from her recommendations and were not disappointed in any of them. We started with the gazpacho as a nice palette cleanser, which came with a little shot of gin to elevate the tasting experience. We then had the cod with EVOO and garlic as well as the mohomara. This was surprisingly a little sweet but sooo tasty. This one was my husband's favorite tapa. We then had the bikini con trufa which Danielle described as 'the best ham and cheese sandwich on the planet'... She wasn't wrong. We paired that with the cauliflower and finished with some dessert... both the flan and the cheesecake. Overall FANTASTIC dining experience. I would highly recommend putting this on your St. Louis dining bucket list and grabbing reservations as soon as possible!

Yelp
Heard all the hype about Wright's Tavern and walked in with no reservation at 5:02pm with 4 total people in the entire place and they do not serve drinks. You can only go there for dinner + drinks....so we walked a block to go to Bar Moro and they welcomed us in. It was such a cute place, we had drinks and an app and very friendly service! I wished we had time to stay for dinner but we already had plans. Forget Wright's and go to Bar Moro!!!

Yelp
Omg I don't know why I didn't try this place sooner but it was delicious! My friend and I split several of the small plates and tin fish options. All were amazing, so much so that I forgot to take too many pictures. I think my favorite thing was the Mohamara, which was fresh and yummy. We also tried the jamon iberico, and several other dishes that I cannot remember the names of. Drinks were also delicious and the service was great, our waitress was super attentive and gave us great suggestions particularly for the tin fish. The restaurant is also nicely decorated and has a great vibe. Parking was a little difficult, which is to be expected in that area! Cannot wait to go again!

Yelp
We made a reservation last minute so the only seats were at the bar and I think that made our night even more enjoyable. We sat right in front of the chef and thoroughly enjoyed watching him and his team work so seamlessly all evening. The attention to detail in the preparation was amazing. The food was outstanding. We spoke with the chef for a while and learned about the menu and the inspirations. Our waiter and staff were so well prepared. If we are in the area again we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Amazing service and food as usual! I will say, we had to wait a little longer than usual for our main entree to come out but everything else came out very quickly and was piping hot! We love the vibe here, almost like your in Barcelona enjoying some sangria!

Yelp
Another excellent place from Ben Poremba in Clayton. Shareables and entrees. I want to go back for the Fish entree. Wish this was in our botanical heights neighborhood because we would be there monthly. Excellent service, staff, chef! We sat at the bar to enjoy watching the chefs make the food. Drinks are perfect! Tight space but worth it. Feels like you aren't in STL when inside.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday evening, and enjoyed everything about Bar Moro. The interior was inviting - even cozy - on a dark fall late afternoon. The waitstaff was attentive, friendly, and well informed about the food and drink choices. We chose a number of dishes that were easily shared, so that we got a chance to taste multiple items. Each dish was uniquely and perfectly seasoned and presented. All were absolutely delicious!!! We will definitely visit Bar Moro again, and will be recommending it to anyone looking for a relaxing and delightful restaurant experience.

Yelp
Bar Moro is our go-to date night spot. I definitely recommend making a reservation as the restaurant is fairly small. We started with oysters and cocktails. The owner recommended the Caesar salad, egg tortilla and lamb. WOW - cannot stress enough how impressed we were. It was not just a Caesar salad. We finished everything we ordered (including the basque cheesecake). We will order the lamb every time we go. So flavorful and delicious! This is a perfect date night or girl's night out spot. Service is prompt and knowledgeable. They recently started offering paella on Sundays, so we will definitely be back.

Yelp
Walking in to Bar Moro reminded me of walking into a restaurant in NYC. Small so reservations are highly recommended. Spanish tapas are the cuisine which are quite yummy. The service was definitely 5 star level. We sat at the bar and the drinks were delicious.

Yelp
Great restaurant located in a residential area away from the downtown. Great atmosphere and amazing food. The drinks were delicious (I recommend the Martini Don Ernesto). The staff was outstanding and provided fantastic recommendations to try and share.

Yelp
I have mixed feelings about Ben Poremba's restaurants, but this one is one worth visiting, up there with Olio (my other fave of his). We sat at the bar which was fun, we got to watch the kitchen work. We progressed through 3 dishes, all delicious. The pan con tomate, piquillos, and mar i muntanya. Only complaint was that the bread (not pictured) served with the peppers was cold. Would have been tastier warm. There are certainly some over priced items on the menu, but we avoided these. This is definitely a place to come with a group and share. We are looking forward to returning and trying other options. Our server was fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by for some pre-dinner appetizers and cocktails. We all loved the design and atmosphere but felt a bit underwhelmed by the menu options. Definitely felt like we needed a bit more guidance from our server on the best options and a lot of what we ordered did not seem worth the price. Felt for the price, we weren't getting the flavors or originality we have come to expect from the St. Louis food scene. Really was looking forward to the menu and it was disappointing to experience pretty bland execution. The exception to that was the basque cheesecake, it was great! I would have given it two stars for the food options but the cocktails brought my rating up. They had a great variety and each one we ordered was beautifully done. We all agreed that we would have preferred to come here after dinner for cocktails and dessert.
