Bar One

Hello, I just want to let you know that Barone is one of my favorite restaurants. It is family-run and its menu is very variable. It has different types of food. They have burritos, nachos, Mexican food, and also American food, typical of a bar. They also have Chinese food and rice bowls. It is very good because they have a great variety of foods and their beers are different types. They keep putting the best of beers, both bottled and canned, and also canbucha and wines, tequila and more, etc. But my favorite food is birria, tacos, cheese steak, burgers and appetizers, fried ravioli, chicken tenders, beyond meat in salads, C.R.B. and chopped salad. And one thing: the hamburgers are fresh meat, 8oz, so there are no excuses. In this place, you can eat everything. They also have dessert, icecream cake and donut holes, cake, pinaupsidedown. I tell you all, it is a very good option for everyone. Thank you, Barone. It has the best of the best, its prices are very affordable, the best of Little Italy.

Visiting the area from Philly! This place is great! If I close my eyes and imagine all of the Padres gear is Phillies gear then it reminds me of home. Great hot and fresh food and great service! I came twice on my 4 day stay. Thanks!

This spot is hands down our go to breakfast place. Me and my wife Antonella come here all the time just for their breakfast burrito with carne asada it’s seriously the best we’ve had anywhere. Perfectly seasoned, filling, and always hits the spot. On top of the amazing food, the service is always great. We always seem to come in when Jules is working, and she’s the absolute best, super friendly, attentive, and makes us feel right at home every time. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Bar One is hands down the best bar in Little Italy if you’re looking to actually catch a game. Absolute rockstars. You blink and your drink is already refilled. You think about wanting food and boom — a menu appears. It’s basically magic. Speaking of food, it’s way better than you’d expect from a sports bar vibe. Legit tasty, not just “good enough after three beers” kinda food. Only knock? The TVs could use a little upgrade — I’m not asking for IMAX here, but hey, dream big. Still, with the energy, the people, and the food this good, it’s officially my go-to for sports watching in Little Italy.

Excellent sidewalk Cafe bar and grill. 1) Burger was done to perfection. 2) Buffalo Wings were wet and flavorful. 3) Side Caesar was almost a full Dinner salad size. 4) Service, off the charts... great time.

Solid. The food, the atmosphere, the service. We’ve been to Bar One multiple times, and with Damian behind the bar, everything is always spot on. From the cold beer, to sports on every tv, to banter with the locals and bartenders, you can’t go wrong.

lots of locals and their dogs frequent this spot. very nice servers and available seating but busy for sports. Most of the group usually loves the chicken parm sliders and their beer specials. I tried the wings for the first time and liked them. Garlic fries were fresh out of the fryer. Quesadillas and sandwiches are shareable portions. Not a fan of the salads anymore but they have a lot of other things to choose from. They also have a brunch menu!

Stopped in for a couple drinks and dessert over the weekend after dinner and found this hidden gem! Our waitress Katie was so friendly and had great drink recommendations! We’re out of towners but we’ll definitely be back to try the food next time!

Popped in for an afternoon lunch at Bar One with our group of 6 from an event. B, our waitress handled the traffic extremely well. There were probably 25 total from our event that came in for a lunch rush and she was the only waitress on staff. I got a bowl - can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Would 10/10 recommend for a lunch spot!

Went to have lunch here while our daughter was shopping after visiting colleges. My husband wanted to watch the Masters and they had it playing. Sat inside with my husband and son. We ordered drinks and food and my husband was the only one to get a beer. The waitress asked us upfront for a credit card which was strange because she didn't ask if we want to start a tab. My husband being the easy going person he is just gave it to her without question because he just wanted to relax. Well now I'm observing everything. A couple sat down next to us and were helped by a different waitress. All they ordered was drinks from the bar and that waitress didn't ask them to start a tab or ask them for a credit card up front. Another group came in and watched the waitress who helped up first go over to them and she didn't ask them for a credit card and they had a larger group. Im so glad another waitress was helping her wait tables because I was just so bothered by this. It doesn't look good when you pick and choose who you want a credit card from upfront. They should all be following the same rule or policy so it doesn't look like you're treating others differently. It's sad because it changed the whole mood for me especially which ruined the time my husband was enjoying with his son watching the Masters on TV.

I NEVER leave one star reviews, but after the experience my husband and I just had I feel the need to. We waited nearly 2 hours waiting for our food today...just to have our waitress come tell us that the kitchen was "backed up"....while all along everyone else around us was still getting their food. 2 HOURS. Just to leave without any food and pay $20 for parking for no reason other than waiting at this restaurant. There were so many options for us and we unfortunately we wasted our entire morning on this place. We will never come back here.

This little Italy bar has a long bar, high tables and several tvs to watch your favorite sporting match. We sat at the bar and the bartenders grabbed our drink order. They made a grey goose martini with a twist. They ran out of martini glasses or didn't have a martini glass so they served the drink in a standard cup. That's odd but the drink was absolutely deliciously made. Their scotch selection was very good. They offered a large ice cube for the scotch which is nice. Overall, the bar was very good and welcoming but prices are just a bit high. Parking is always an issue. If we are in the area walking around, we would return for a drink.

Bar One is located in Little Italy off India Street, providing the community with awesome food and cold drinks. This is the spot to go to for a great time with family and friends to take some stress off from a busy work day or just to enjoy some sports playing on multiple Tvs inside. The ambiance inside is modern and trendy, and the customer service that they provide is second to none! One of my favorite things about this bar is that they have patio seating outside of India st with multiple tables and chairs with umbrellas protecting you from that lovely San Diego Sun shine. They have multiple beers on draft, and the menu is always changing. The menu is written on a chalkboard with the brewery and make of the beer, and they also provide the alcohol content. They usually have great specials for a shot and beer that you can't beat in the neighborhood. Overall, Bar One is a superb bar for the family, and kids are also welcome but are not allowed to sit at the bar. They make a mean Shirley temple as well, and dogs are also welcome.

Great bar and prices! Staff is super friendly and fast and it's easy to get a seat if you know when to go. Pretty relaxing vibes throughout the bar too. Never actually gotten food here but we like to stop by for a drink or two before dinners. Easy and convenient although the drinks could be better, can't beat the price or convenience!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Friendly spot to catch some games and good, casual grub. We were looking around for a sports bar in which to grab some food and watch the UCLA basketball game, but alas, no one seemed to have the Pac-12 channel in this town. They did have WiFi here at least, so we ended up watching the game on our phone. I got their fish tacos and an order of tots, and hubby got the southwest rice bowl with soyrizo, jalapeños, corn, sour cream. They give you a LOT of tots with your order--we couldn't finish them all. I also got their boilermaker special: 12 oz can of Montucky and well shot for $10, which was an OK deal. Not a huge place, but food and service were good.

Great sports bar! The drinks and food are affordable and they always have a great game on. I got the German bratwurst which was delicious. Love the Chicago vibes of this bar!

AMAZING! Just moved to SD and this is the first place we found to try. We had the Birria Quesatacos, Seared Ahi Sando, and Buddee Wings (teriyaki), along with the garlic parm fries. Everything was outstanding. Don't miss this place when you are in Little Italy.

Brianna is great, she's so attentive, has great fun ideas for new drinks, her vibe is also very welcoming. B is an amazing bartender and shes hot!!! Very sweet! I love the music.. great atmosphere. The weather is beautiful.. came here with friends loving the vibe. Stop by here and having a taste of what this bar has to offer. I'll definitely be back.

This started off as our go to spot to watch the games as we live just a few blocks away but now it's our go to if we have nothing to do spot. They have multiple TVs inside and out. If you are going to watch the game, go early if you want to sit inside. On non major game nights, the place is really casual and chill. The bartenders are all really nice and personable there. Super welcoming! The drinks are strong but good. The they have a good selections of beers as well. The food is really good for bar food. The Salads, Chicken Tenders and Rice bowls are really good. I know it's weird to order a salad at a bar but they have one of the best salads in Little Italy.

Cool bartenders and rotating draft list. Yes please. Menu with a bit of everything. I would say Great bar food menu. Went with the gravity heights IPA and the Birra quesatacos. I recommend this combo or your favorite beer from the list and tacos.

Their. Steak. Burrito. Is. Bomb. Seriously. The service was just ok and the ambience was chill. But, the burrito... beautiful. The meat was perfectly grilled and juicy, the filling super cheesy, and it was a decently large size. I'm also in love with their salsa. Neither are very spicy, but they're perfectly flavored. Get the burrito, you won't regret it.

Great casual sports bar! Food is excellent for a bar and prices are reasonable by San Diego standards. Best and friendliest bartenders and servers in San Diego!

I came here yesterday afternoon for some drinks/snacks with my family. This bar location is super convenient- near the main drag of little Italy. The drinks were great, and the menu had typical bar food options (pretty good but I wouldn't come specifically for it. The fries were great though!). The service was also speedy and friendly. If you are looking for a place to grab drinks with friends before going out, this place is a great option!

We popped in after dinner in Little Italy. Who could ask for more from a neighborhood bar? There are bites, hearty drinks, TVs with relevant sporting events playing and plenty of seating.

Love this place! Super casual down to earth place with solid drinks and solid food. First time I came here I stayed for four hours. Just a great place to drink, watch a game and talk to some friendly bar neighbors.

Good food, good drinks, good service. It was a bit busy on Saturday afternoon, so service is slow. Would come back for the vibes though!

Stopped in here randomly to watch some of the NBA finals. The prices are more than reasonable. Whiskey was 9 bucks! I'm hats pretty cheap for Makers Mark. It must have been happy hour or something. I also really enjoyed the crack dip. Bartenders are alright but seemed like they took care of locals first. Cool spot to get a beer though

Could not get service. Not at a table not at the bar. Finally acknowledged at the bar, but still not able to place an order. Stay away. Not ‍ friendly at all.

We needed to find a place that was showing the KC - Miami football game since the NFL foolishly put it on Peacock. We called Bar One and they were going to have it. We got there early, which I'm glad we did. They were already busy but we were able to get the last table in the place. Multiple TVs, great energy, and we even shared our table with a couple from Santa Ana who needed a place to sit. We had a great time. We went back the next day to watch the Cowboys lose yet another playoff game. Lots of craft brew on tap. Really good food. My wife and I like to share things when we go out. Over the two visits we had Fried Ravioli (and a side of crostini to sop up the extra sauce), Pretzel Bites, Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl (both times), and the Cheesesteak. Clearly our favorite was the rice bowl. The service was great at both the table and the bar. There is outdoor seating with heaters for cold nights. Highly recommend.

This place has really good food but the service can be pretty awful. I've had good service but be prepared to have an empty glass while the bartenders are on their phone or taking shots

Location Centrally located in Little Italy. Parking Paid street or lot parking. Atmosphere Sports bar with multiple tv's. Chill vibe. Food and Beverages Nice selection of house cocktails. Large beer menu. I had the Mexican 55-champagne and tequila. Very nice. The olives were fantastic! We ordered the fish and chips-3 fish strips and plenty of shoe string fries. We also had the BLT sliders-thick bacon and tasty buns. Outstanding service! Summary Fun sports bar with variety of food and beverages.

We came to watch MMA fight & the many TV's provided views for everyone ...great appetizers & drinks and we LOVE the STAFF!!

Food, and drinks were fine, service was slow but there was two Monday night football games playing. Our bill came to 29 dollars, I used my credit card, and my boyfriend was tipping in cash. We left a 5 dollar bill and three 1 dollar coins totaling an 8 dollar tip. The waitress rolled her eyes about the coins, complained about getting tipped in quarters earlier, and told us she'll find a use for the coins. It's money you spend it like any other money. We will definitely not go back to a bar where the wait staff is so entitled.

BAR ONE IS THE BEST! It's our local watering hole for watching sports games and hanging out with Little Italy friends. The whole staff is welcoming and enthusiastic always. But the bartender/server Jules is our favorite! Come here for fun, laidback vibes, delicious food, and great drinks.

Bar One is such an underrated gem of little Italy! This is the perfect place to come and watch sports or just visit any day of the week! One of the things I love best about Bar One is that they have the best food!! I've tried nearly everything on the menu, and it's all so good!! During games they offer communal style tables so it's also a great place to meet new friends. Overall this is one of my favorite spots in little Italy!

I came here on a weekend morning for brunch/lunch. My partner wanted a place where they can watch the football game so this place had TVs and were playing the game. It was pretty packed when I arrived, we sat outside. For larger parties, you would need to push tables and find chairs to sit lots of people. As for service, I think the waitress does their best to check in on us and everything. Overall, I think I was pretty satisfied with the service. I ordered the quesataco and I think someone ordered their loaded fries. I really liked the quesatacos, it was pretty good. I would definitely recommend it. They only have one bathroom and for some odd reason, every time I had to use it, someone's always in it. Obviously, this is out of everyone's control but I had to go pretty badly and once I got there, it was always locked and I felt like I waited a lifetime to use it. If you sit outside, you definitely will be greeted by lots of dogs walking by and it's a dog friendly outside patio so you may even be seated next to a furry fella.

Great place, felt like a local. Bartenders were welcoming. We had a few IPAs and the crack dip...omg, the crack dip is bomb, I wanted to order a second.

Just an FYI. This bar has a locals only vibe! The head bartender and servers were super rude. The food was horrible too. I do not recommend this place at all. We went up the street to The Princess Pub and grill and there were so many TVs to watch whatever game you wanted and the food was amazing. Go there instead. Don't waste your time at this bar. Not sure how they have such great reviews. It was pretty bad.

My experience with this place left me dumbfounded. Not only is the customer service rude & disrespectful, they caused a scene in front of everyone embarrassing me and my family. The guy in particular had a hat on with long hair. I don't know how you treat people like that and expect someone to stay in their sh***y a** patio either. Overall a dump, wouldn't recommend !

He has absolutely loved our server, Travis! Bloody Mary's and chili Quiles were the perfect pair so delicious! But Travis was the best!

Ordered one drink, which I saw the bartender only poured a half shot pour in it. After not enjoying a poorly made week drink I had to tell the bartender twice that I was was done and wanted the check. It was not even remotely busy. After paying the bill in cash she shorted me on the change back! Not coming back, bad service... Also the draft beer selection is nothing special considering this San Diego.

Came through with a large group over the weekend. Our server was super nice and accommodating. We ordered, and everyone had their drinks pretty quickly (for the size group we had). I had ordered a double-tall, but still couldn't even taste the alcohol. Compared to any other place we visited that day, I'd have to say this place had the weakest pour. (Comparing to the exact same order at other places.) The server was great tho. Still only 3-stars for the drink.

Great little spot to grab a bite and drink. Very friendly staff. Opens a little earlier than the surrounding establishments, which is nice for those that like to beat the lunch crowds.

Dropped by after running an errand around 5 pm. No Happy Hour. That's okay. Small bar, however outdoor seating expanded their capacity. Uncomfortable bar stools. Had a draft beer. Tried one food item. It wasn't especially good. Unprofessional customer service. They had a chance to make me a repeat customer, as I live in the neighborhood. I won't be going back. All the 5-star reviews look fake to me.

Drinks were good Outside seating was nice Just the service was taking a little long. We wanted to order another round but by the time the waitress came back we wanted to leave.

Great atmosphere, even during covid. Lots of action and people watching. Plus, an EXCELLENT recommendation by our waitress (Chai Me A River Cider)... DELICIOUS!!! Will definitely be back.

Got the chicken tenders and fries here with all the sauces and they were very good! This place was the perfect food after spending the day at some nearby breweries!

Bar One has a very relaxed, chilled atmosphere with great food-ideal for unwinding after work or enjoying sports on the weekend. My Fiddler beer was amazing and the buzz was even better. I had the mushrooms with garlic, cheese and pork link with onions and peppers. Both were exceptionally tasty. Service is fantastic-very friendly like you've known these folks for years. My server Giana is one of the nicest and most courteous I've ever met. Bar One is the ideal neighborhood pub with great food, beer and that makes you feel like you've been going there for years.

Not sure of her name, but the beer tender was fantastic. She helped with my selection and it was brilliant. The wings are truly amazing and so are the brews. My first time in!! I'll be back

Enjoy coming to the craft brew spot every time where in SD , but this time was kinda iffy more pricey then normally few shots few brews and margaritas couple appetizers and we were well over $100 , to start our weekend off right , our waiter was cool didn't catch a name brought me bunch of bomb local beers , to sip on as we people watched all afternoon. Awesome bar and delicious food here at Bar One! I've came here a few times when in the area of Downtown/Little Italy. It has nice vibes, an open and airy bar set-up perfect for breezes, and TV's for catching sports. The food I've had here has been fantastic and good pricing. They have great beer selection on tap with friendly servers/bartenders. I recommend Bar One for its ambiance and a nice place to get your drink on when thirsty and great bites!

Great staff. Great atmosphere. Really good food. You are always welcome at bar one, no matter who is behind the bar.
