Bar Pianegiani

Coming here in the morning is the highlight of my day! Pastries are delicious and the staff is wonderful.

While there are other great bars, this is for sure the best in town. The prices are reasonable, it felt very authentic with lots of locals choosing this spot and enough of the staff spoke English where you could usually get by without Google translate. While the ice cream and coffee are beyond excellent, the cakes are next level. Highly recommend trying their Meringata.

A lovely place to enjoy gelato or a treat ! Sit in the plaza, by an amazing fountain, enjoy !

Amazing experience at Pianegiani - super nice spot on the outside terrace directly next to a fountain, very high quality coffee - not only the espresso, but also cappuchino which is very rare in Italy (!) with cool Latte Art - and also very tasty pastries. And all of that for amazing prices. Come here when in Todi!!

Best ice cream I've experienced in Italy. The Stracciatella is outstanding. To the point where I have it in my morning croissant.

I’m not talking about the places that have piled up mounds of technicolor stuff - and Jo, this isn’t one of those places That said, it isn’t particularly great either - some of the flavors taste quite artificial at that (cough. Granita di mandorla. Cough) But, your pickings in Todi are slim, so, we’ll, here you are…

Came for the gelato and sorbet and were not disappointed! Spectacular. I go for the dark chocolate fondente and it was spectacular!!!

Delicious gelato in a small square off of the main piazza in Todi. We received the recommendation to try out Bar Pianegiani from a friend who rented a house in Todi for a month and thought it was the best gelato in town; I didn't try any other spots because Bar Pianegiani was so delicious! For two euros, you can get a small cup (the perfect amount!) of gelato and can pick up to two different flavors. I couldn't help myself but to get the pistacchio and stracciatella (chocolate chip) both of the times I went. The pistacchio was particularly delicious, creamy and nutty. The little square next to the shop is the perfect place to pause and enjoy your gelato. The square gets particularly crowded on Friday evenings when everybody is out and about.
