By far and away the coolest place we stayed in Italy. A 14th century castle with a bed and breakfast. It hasn't been extensively renovated so you get the 14th century castle vibes and can roam around freely
Classic hotel in an old estate with a spa built on top of thermal caves. Amazingly one of the kid-friendliest places we went, with robes for everyone, a great pool, good food
Ancient town on a hilltop, no cars. You have to walk across a long bridge to get there. The town itself was super cool, the food was just ok
Thermal waterfall pools, like nowhere else I've ever been. Kids loved it too except for the sulphur smell
Solid pizzas and pastas with a beautiful view of the countryside over the city walls
