Bar Pimentel

We had to wait for a table on a Friday night without a reservation but it was so worth it! The host was absolutely killing it at his job, super cool and calm at handling the queue. We were served by Cony and she was energetic and cheery throughout our dinner. Please get the poached eggs w potato parmentier, top class!!

Last weekend I visited this place after many recommendations. I have to say that it was nothing like I expected. I think my expectations were incredibly high given the amount of recommendations I had received. We started our meal with the "matrimonio" and the parmentier potatos with crispy pork belly and poached egg. Both dishes were good, nothing out of the ordinary. We also ordered the squid and the sweetbread dishes. As a sweetbread fan I have to say this was not good at all, the texture was not great and the flavor was just ok. The squid had potential, but I think the quality wasnt the best, it had a weird smell. The service was just ok for Barcelona standars, and the vibe of the place was nice. I will comeback and try more dishes, mainly because I think it just wasnt a great night for the restaurant. I will comeback to this review afterwards with pictures of the 2nd visit experience. Here to make an edit after my second visit: Much better than my first visit, I think this time around all the food we ordered was spot on! Only one of the dishes was missing a bit of flavor but overall very good! The service I had to say is the worst thing about this place. Very slow and they are always with a bad attitude. Specially the guy with the glasses, sorry for pointing that out but his attitude is just incredibly bad.

What an incredible find! Par Pimentel was the first restaurant I tried during my visit to Barcelona, and it absolutely set the bar high for the rest of my trip. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the beautiful interior design that creates such a welcoming atmosphere. The food was simply amazing - every dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I also have to mention their wine selection, which perfectly complemented our meal. Par Pimentel has definitely earned a spot on my must-visit list - I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in Barcelona! Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional food and service in a beautiful setting.

Quick and delicious solo meal! I asked the man behind the bar for his recommendation and he recommended the pasta and it was one of the best pastas I’ve had in a really long time. Also he was very friendly and personable which I appreciate while dining alone

This was so yummy!! Staff were so fun and just great vibes in general. Need to book for a Saturday night (1wk in advance) I loved the croquettes, octopus and the sobrassada tortilla is a must Only critique was the Paloma was a bit rubbish, stick to the beer

A small space but the vibes were on point! Staff is super friendly, food is amazing, the wine list has a tone of fun natural options. Don’t forget to pick us some of there dope merch! I wish we had more time there.

Everything was good but need cheek was unbelievable. Color was perfect. Tasted amazing. Razor clams was good. Tuna tartar was fresh and balanced, but I prefer more sesame oil type of dressing, I guess. Overall, very good.

Delicious food (I had oysters, leeks, tomato bread) and excellent wine from knowledgeable staff. They are quite open to providing advice and samples to help decide.
