One the best joints in SD. Hands down. Beautifull people. Good vibes. Grate music. Oh, CASH ONLY. And did I said Cash SOLAMENTE. Some what nostalgic. Awesome. Try the Tequila Palomas.

Great dive bar. Chill atmosphere, live music, and drink deals with a lovely heavy hand. They didn't have a cover when we went 10pm on a weekday, but I don't know if it changes. I definitely recommend.

Bar Pink is the first stop on any self respecting punkers bar crawl the bar is owned by local legend Swami John Reis who you may unremember from such acts as rocket from the crypt, Hot snakes, Drive like jehu, The night marchers, and things his enchanting wife may or may not have called him in anger. Maybe you know him from his radio work or better yet a little show called Yo Gabba Gabba. The Swami is a showman and all around talented devil who features some of the best music you're going to hear in SD. For me, a Bar Pink stop is mandatory before all concerts. A tiki or two, a rousing game of pac man, some good music, good people, goodnight. *Also bring cash, or the bartenders will try to kill you with their minds. I think we have time from an evolutionary standpoint before one of them develops telekinesis. Just play it safe.

From the look and feel of this place, most people think I love it. Kitschy dive bar with booths, live bands playing, sticky floors, the whole nine yards. Yet, I'm never impressed with the place. The drinks are generally good and a decent price. There is a good mixture of different people who come here, which makes it great for people watching. But, I still can't put my finger on what's up with this place.

A hipster bar that has pretty good live shows, almost every day of the week. There's a cool seating area with booths and the place is pretty big. The space for dancing is limited, but I feel it works with the ambiance of everything. This bar is cash only, so bring cash! Drinks are fairly cheap.

They do have good taste in live music. Too big to be called a dive bar, but just big enough to have a few dozen people dancing when they have really good live music. A place that is just strange enough to suit the great people of San Diego but not so strange as to scare them away. A very good place to meet people, quick drink service, friendly staff, always a good experience.

My favorite dive bar in North Park. Cheap drinks, great live music, cool bar staff and it's pretty easy to get on a pool table. Tiki Tuesdays with Ami is one of my favorite nights. Tasty cocktails and chill vibes. Definitely a cool spot!

No AC. Place gets sweaty when packed. You'll depend on ceiling fans to stay cool, and the wind is concentrated on certain spots on the dance floor. Been here a few times, I do have fun. Last time was on first Friday of the month, when they usually play hip-hop with live DJ. 5 dollar cover charge for those busy weekend days. Can get busy enough that the only single bar can be saturated with patrons so waiting to buy a drink can be 10 minutes. You can play pool, you can dance, you can sit (they have tables)... and you can sweat. I'm sure I'll have fun the next time... albeit with the right people.
