I was in Renard last night (Friday 28th/ Apr.), and I lost my jacket (black, with typical Adidas white stripes) that I hung up where all jackets were on the wall. I realized it was stolen around 1am when I was about to leave, and when I went to tell the bar tender to report it, he simply exploded laughing saying " this is a bar in the gay village, so deal with it".
I didn't ask him to help me looking for it, but he could have at least told me who/ when to call, or show an act of sympathy, or offer to check the security camera later (my jacket is the the typical Adidas sport one which can easily be distinguished among others).
Or maybe he was more concerned about bringing more vodka shots to the half naked drunk people almost, almost getting engaged in a sexual intercourse on the dance floor ?! ( check the surveillance camera or come every weekend to see for yourself).
P.S.: a friend of mine had a similar experience recently in the gay village in another bar, but the staff there stopped working and offered immediate assistance helping him looking for his stolen jacket, then checked surveillance camera to provide footage to report the case.
The next day ( today, April 29th), I found Renard's bar number online and called them, they said we don't have anything. When I asked if you could check the video surveillance, they said they won't unless the police is involved, and this is what will happen.
This will be the LAST last time there for me or any of my case people in Renard. We prefer to go somewhere safe, or at least find some sympathy when close get stolen despite the fact there are surveillance cameras.
Anyways, good luck with the police case.
