We came here for a friend's birthday as a group of 12. It was taco Tuesday, but the place was relatively slow. We were sat upstairs and they had a live dj, which was nice. Unfortunately, that is kind of where the positives end. When the server came around for our drinks, we informed her it was our friends birthday. A few of the couples at the table opted for the margarita pitcher, which ended up being some of the weakest margaritas we have had. It seemed like mostly mixer. When the server came back around to take our food order, she was very loud about asking what desert the birthday boy wanted so after it ended up catching his attention we just had him make decision, which I know its not a surprise that he was going to get something but we clearly didn't want him to know.
My girlfriend and I order the nachos to share as a few friends said they were huge, however, when our nachos came out they were not nearly as large as they normal are, however, another group at the table order nachos and they did get a much large plate of nachos, which is kind of surprising how inconsistent it was. We ended up ordering two individual tacos from the taco Tuesday as well to try. I got the Wagyu, and it was meant to come our crispy, but it was so burnt all you could taste was the charred tortilla shell. The fish talk was okay.
At this time a few people had finished their food, but the birthday person was still waiting for his entrée, the waiter walked up behind the table with the desert, and proceeded to go, are you going to sing to our group. Since it caught us off guard, we sang, but why would you bring out desert before everyone gets their entrée, especially the birthday person? Shortly after his main meal came out so we ended up sharing the desert around the table.
At this point, it was getting late, and one of the guests needed to get home, so she asked for her check. A few other people also then asked for their checks. About 25 min passed, and the waiter came back up with more desert for the table when we clearly were ready to leave. At this time, the rest of the table also requested our checks. The waiter left and proceeded to go back behind the bar and talk with a few guests there. Another 20 min passed before she eventually started printing our checks. Meanwhile, we could see here chatting with other guests and dancing behind the bar. It should not take 45 min. to get a check and cash out under any circumstance. Unfortunately, since we were a larger group, the tip was automatically added to our bill, so I am also not sure if this led to the poor service we received. Either way, we all left very disappointed in the service we experienced here. Hopefully, they can resolve this, and maybe I will give it another try.
