Look. I've been to my fair share of karaoke bars, so I know how the drill works. You put in a song with your name and you wait your turn. However, the DJ at this place was displaying some serious favouritism. We were there long before 10pm and got our names in the queue early, and yet the table next to ours arrived after us and sang 3-4 songs each while we sang only one song each, despite putting in multiple song requests in early in the night. In one case, we put in our request at 10:45pm and by 1am we still hadn't been called up.
Also, when we first entered, we hadn't even had a second to catch up with our friends (who had already ordered) before a waitress was trying to get a drink order from us. Which could be fine depending on context, but she then demanded we pay immediately. This was all before we'd even finished removing our winter gear. Come on, we're obviously going to order a drink, give us 5 minutes to settle in! It did not make us feel very welcome.
All in all, a very disappointing night. I would recommend you look elsewhere for karaoke.
