I don't like mushrooms, but I loved these mushrooms! The tiny bar was heaving with customers, all in good form watching countless plates of mushrooms getting prepped and served by the staff who know exactly what they're doing.

They only do Mushrooms but they do them with style! This was our favourite tapa of the night by far. Fresh mushrooms cooked with garlic, parsley and olive oil and topped with a small prawn. Beautifully seasoned and accompanied with a Rioja Crianza which was divine. All this for 7.80 euros was fantastic value for money! Definitely don't miss this place!

These mushrooms are amazing!! The service is fast and efficient, especially considering the volume of people they go through. Do brace yourself for the crowds though as it gets really busy here in the evening

Best mushrooms that I have ever eaten! In list of best foods that I have ever eaten! It is just mushrooms on piece of bread. I don't understand how it can taste so good! The texture of the mushroom is perfectly tender (not rubbery). The sauce they pour over them brings the magic umami flavors. The sauce is fat based (oil or butter) with garlic and other unknown magic seasonings. They only make one food, mushrooms, but you wouldn't want anything else. The place is small and popular. It gets super crowded quicky. They open at 7:15pm, which is early time to eat in Spain. However I recommend coming not too long after they open so you can get ahead of the crowds and get place at bar.

***I am writing this review now but I actually visited this place back in October 2022*** I HAVE NEVER TASTED MUSHROOMS LIKE THIS EVER BEFORE!!! How can something so simple be this good? This place is iconic. The first thing I would do if I'm ever back in La Rioja is to come here. My husband and I came to Bar Soriano at the request of his cousins who have lived in Logroño for about 20+ years. We tried different "pinchos" (snacks eaten in different bars) on this main street but they told us this place was a MUST. The line was long and the place doesn't look like much, but believe me, totally totally worth it. I cannot explain how good these are. All they do is sell garlic buttery mushrooms + bread and liquor and they have managed to stay in business for YEARS. 100% RECOMMEND. GO IN, AND ENJOY!

The champis here are it! Hot, fresh of the grill mushrooms topped with a small shrimp and served over a slice of bread. Get ready to get your hands dirty from the oil dripping on to them and your tongue burned if you bite on the mushrooms right away. Take your time and enjoy!

If I can give this place negative stars I would. Great hole in the wall where locals enjoy talking badly about foreign patrons, especially pilgrims. Not only do they bad mouth you but the owner of the establishment also joins in on the fun in saying vulgar things with his drunk low brow patrons and colleagues. Once confronted and shocked that you actually understand Spanish, they react in dismay; another place another time ... things would have ended up differently than me saying what I needed to say and moving on. Horrible attitudes, and would definitely go down the street to bar angel for better service and better outlook on patrons who just want to visit and enjoy your establishment.

There are two maybe three other tapas and pintxos bars that serve mushrooms on and in the Calle Laurel neighborhood, but Bar Soriano is the one I fell in love with at first bite. It's a pleasure watching them make their specialty tapa, which is mushrooms grilled in olive oil and sauteed in their secret sauce then topped with one grilled shrimp. Everyone eats their tapa differently, but I think the secret is to let the sauce drip onto your bread, so you don't dribble it all over yourself, although part of the fun is letting the sauce dribble all over yourself, isn't it? An old school classic, I can keep coming back to.

The most famous tapas bar in Logroño, La Rioja. The same four guys have been working since I first came here in 2005. I don't want to tell you what to do, BUT there is a certain Riojan etiquette to eating this tapas and it's probably the least messy: 1.Lift the mushrooms/shrimp off the bread with the toothpick. 2.Turn them horizontal, and use the bread as a sort of plate so that the sauce can flow down into the bread. 3. Let the mushrooms cool slightly before taking a bite. Before being introduced to this method by my Riojano friends, I use to push the toothpick down through the bread, then holding the toothpick from underneath, eat the mushrooms one by one from the top. I no longer recommend this method as it will undoubtedly result in a burnt tongue. Fun note: There is no closing time at Bar Soriano. Once they sell out their 800 mushrooms (or however many they want to sell that given night), then that's it. Finish. 'Sta logo majo!

I would give this place 5 plus stars if I could. I usually don't feel that way about many places. I am not sure how can someone make mushrooms so delicious simple mushrooms with so much flavor. There is happiness in the person making them, the owners there are friendly, smiling and so welcoming. This place is always crowded and rightfully so. If you are in the area visiting Spain this is a must eat place, nothing fancy simple food but one of the most authentic and best pinchos you will have. A person who can manage to make mushroom taste so simply good is worth a lot of praise.

This place is awesome! This was one of the first places one of my coworkers took me when I arrived in Logroño Spain! I have been back there twice and will definitely be visiting this place a lot more for sure! I was told that the 4 guys grow their own mushrooms too! That would explain why they take pride in what they do! All the mushrooms caps are about the same size. They cook them and drench them with liquified butter sea salt and garlic! I'm drooling thinking about having them right now!

I like mushrooms. All kinds. Prepared in every way imaginable. I'm not so sure why people are so crazy for this place and the way these mushrooms are prepared however. Yeah, they are good, but I actually had better mushrooms (albeit prepared differently) up the road earlier in the evening. BUT - they are cheap, so it sure doesn't hurt to try them. And the atmosphere is fun so why not?

They only serve mushrooms, wine and beer. The wine is delicious. The mushrooms are the best on the planet. It's packed with people. Brave the line and hammer some shrooms. One of the best bites of food I've had.
