This place was amazing! The food was so delicious. I had the skirt steak & fries. Had an amazing glass of Prisoner wine 🍷 with my meal. Friend had fig salad & a pretty orangey drink. Our server Teresa was sweet. Our view was the most amazing view. All this after a wonderful day at the spa. Highly recommended 💕

I stayed here for an extended stay and so I was at this bar quite a few times. The bartenders are spectacular. 🎉🎉🎉The service is five star. The food is elevated bar food but my favorite bartender, Josh (and also delightful Lukas and super young and cute Tanner) told me about a secret menu item ”honey walnut shrimp” which is literally mouthgasmic 👅👅👅🤷‍♀️ If you’re in Carlsbad and you need a solid place to have a cocktail and a nice bite 💖 this is the place… Now keep in mind the crowd can be empty or full and full of people you like or people you don’t like so just focus on the blessings🎉💃🏿💃🏿

Great buffalo wings, had a nice drink. Service was good but not great, and be prepared to pay - it's overpriced. Was probably busier than usual because of the NCAA golf tournament. Will happily go back once my paycheck clears.

We visited the Bar Tresa after arriving in Carlsbad after a long day of travel. Luckily, we were given Jose T as a server. He was an amazing server, he took care of us and we had a delicious meal. We will be back, we highly recommend you visit. The food, service and view were amazing! Thanks Jose!

Was overcharged $64 for one beer and had it “corrected”. Was told that the $64 would go back to my account and was charged another $20 - $14 plus tip(the correct amount). I have talked to 4 different people the past 3 weeks about being charged a total of $84 for one beer. They took my info each time and did not correct the issue.

I wish we had been able to eat here - we made a reservation far in advance, this is supposed to be a family friendly resort, and they had ZERO HIGH chairs!!! We have a 2 and 3 year old, and even said we’ll just take one high chair - but no. Nothing. No help. Didn’t even try. If you have kids, maybe this resort isn’t as good as it sounds because they can’t accommodate high chairs - what family friendly resort doesn’t have high chairs available??

I stayed at the hotel for a few nights, and everything about the restaurant--from the service to the breathtaking views--was outstanding! Jacob and Camille at the front desk were incredible. They went above and beyond to make my family, including our toddler and three-month-old, feel genuinely welcomed and at ease. Their warmth and attentiveness made a big difference. The food exceeded my expectations for hotel dining--definitely try the Ahi tostada, it was delicious!

Came here for Easter brunch. Parking is either valet or self parking. Self-parking you get a ticket and restaurant validates. If you want to do self-parking, make sure you wear comfortable shoes as it is a long walk. My cousin ordered the cesar salad and she said it was delicious. I hs the fish and chips and the fish was nice and crispy and not dry. One of the best fish and chips I've had. Dessert, we had a complimentary brownies with ice cream on top and that was very good. We decided to get the churros as well and that was a winner. Definitely a place to go to again.

The service was great! The Grains and Greens salad was delicious. The last word appetizer was good (I love manchego cheese and olives). The poke bowl was ok, but wouldn't order it again (only reason for not giving a full 5 stars). Chicken strips were a hit, along with the included vanilla ice cream, which I got a spoonful of and it was fabulous.

Ordered food to go to eat in our room when staying at the hotel. We ordered and they said it would be 20mins. Went to pick it up and they had no order. We then placed another order and finally got food after about an hour ordeal. We got wings which were just ok. Kids Mac and cheese was bland but edible needed salt and pepper. We also got chips and guacamole which was probably the best thing we got. Didn't get pictures cause we were starving by the time we got food. Probably would opt for the marketplace food over here if staying at the resort.

Bar Tirzah is located in the Omni resort in the Omni resort. My expectation was very high when it came to the restaurant when you walk in to the lobby of the hotel by. It is on the left. it has a true true bar, big screen TVs. Great fun ambience, especially when the golfers are there after a golf game. There are different levels to the restaurant. You can sit at the Bar, outside on the large patio deck and an patio with a few tables and fire pit. I went in a Friday night. It was packed. If you go you need to be prepared their will be more kids ( 10 and under) than you would expect. The service was good , but you could tell they were under staffed. M waiter , Jonathan, was working hard. He made the evening. The food was decent. The drinks we're good. Nothing wow, just decent.

This will be a pretty short review as I didn't spend too much time here but overall a positive experience. We dropped in after a spa day at the resort to grab some wine and nibbles. We were seated within a few minutes. The ambiance was relaxing although a bit loud because it was almost dinner time. There was patio seating too if you preferred but we sat inside. The snacks we ordered were standard and we were too full of wine to get anything else. And there were your usual suspects on the wine list. Although I think our server was new and had never heard of Malbec before. Otherwise, service was prompt and our experience was good. It's also conveniently located close to valet so we didn't have far to walk. The resort is huge to navigate so that was a plus!

Had another nice lunch here today. Steven was our server and very accommodating. Lovely place to sit outside and enjoy a casual lunch.

Words cannot describe my experience here at Bar Traza. The food was GOOD! The Albondigas was an absolute hit. Followed with the best deviled eggs I've ever had. The absolute cherry on top of the whole experience was our introduction to the most friendly and caring manager, Connie. She was so hands on for a manager and it was so refreshing to see someone so friendly and happy at their job .

I'm staying at this hotel and had to try this spot! The views are incredible. I had the tortilla soup which was a decent portion and very flavorful. Then I tried the grains and greens bowl, with steak. The servers were amazing, several of them were constantly checking in on me, filling my water, cleaning my table, etc. everything was on point and I can't wait to try again!

Ate on the lower outdoor patio with beautiful view of the golf course. Lots of shade umbrellas. A solid menu, small but great variety. Yummy craft drinks. Delicious sandwiches, salads & fresh ahi tuna bowl. This is a solid choice for lunch. Great service too.

Came here to meet my BF's friend while he was in town, and the place was so cute, the staff was so accommodating, my BF has recently had ACL replacement surgery, and they gave us the couch to sit at, and made sure that someone could serve us so he didn't have to stand and order at the bar. The Gin and Tonic was a good pour, my BF and hid friend enjoyed their beer. The guy waiting on us was very attentive. Overall a great experience for a hotel lobby bar.

During my time at a conference in Carlsbad, CA, I attended a happy hour event sponsored by one of the vendors at Bar Traza. It was a large event, where half the restaurant was booked. Even with all the people attending the service was great as the bar tenders and servers were constantly making and delivering drinks to the attendees. There was also catered food made by the restaurant. All of it was delicious, but those meatballs were special. All in all it was a great event, and I enjoyed spending time and talking to the other attendees.

I ordered the lobster roll, strawberry salad, and french fries. The food was good. The view was nice. There are a lot of birds outside around the food , which took away from my enjoyment. I like an attentive wait staff, but I felt like they were a little pushy versus being attentive.

We came here for a anniversary meal . Heather was our server and she is amazing!! Great service , so kind and thoughtful

My husband and I had a perfect evening here! I'm glad I made reservations so we got a table outside, which was lovely. The hostess was fun and friendly (19 year old blonde, didn't catch her name), and our server was great as well. We got the shrimp appetizer, but our entrees were really where the money was. I loved my lemongrass chicken and vermicelli noodles, and my husband was really happy with his half Reuben half tomato soup, especially since it also came with another side! And holy cow the dessert!! That brookie was phenomenal. Huge portion. Warm. Just perfect. Wish I could go back for that!

Ambience - cute place at lobby of onni. They have more outside seating. I liked the decor but from pictures I was expecting more. I was excited to have this food. Food - I was thinking more Mediterranean food but it was more American food. First day I had lemon grass chicken with noodles. It was food amount and good. We also got nachos that was good. Saturday I had fish and chips and the fish was fresh and so was the fries. Lots of food. Service- Friday the service was amazing even though we sat far and there a big conference going on. On sunday..the service was not great. I forgot her name but she shook her head from behind when my nice dropped her milk on the floor and my cousin saw it. She didn't seem happy to serve us. Don't think I will back to this place.

Located inside the Omni resort, nice bar/restaurant, but the prices are also very expensive. Service was a bit slow. Came here one afternoon to get a quick bite to eat, and some drinks. The resort is really nice, although parking is a little bit hard to find they do complimentary valet, parking for a few hours during the day, but you do have to pay tips. We got a table near the bar, and it took them a while to come over and take our order. They had a pretty extensive drinks menu, but the food menu is limited. We ordered a few appetizers to share. The drinks were all pretty tasty, although expensive. The food was mediocre, and the service was painfully slow and very absent for a high end establishment like this place, I definitely expect better. Beautiful place to get a drink overlooking the golf course, but I probably wouldn't eat here.

The NYE eve event was a bust! Paid for our tickets only to receive a wristband and walk into a very small overcrowded area that had very limited seating. Looks like they sold as many tickets as they could with no regard for the patrons attending. Ticket was supposed to include champagne and dessert. There was a small dessert bar and the champagne was only for the toast at midnight. We bought our own drinks at the bar and tried to find a place to stand. After standing for a while and seeing that there wouldn't be a place to sit at all, we left. Just as well since I was sick all night from being fed dairy (which I have an allergy to) at Bobs Steakhouse at the Omni. Expected more for the price and caliber of the Omni. Will not be returning. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The food was delicious! Got the chips and guacamole which was good. I got the burger and fries and it was good! My friend got the Reuben and she said it was impeccable. Would love to return!

Bar traza was an excellent experience. I went with my fiancé to enjoy breakfast soon arrival I was notified that breakfast was no longer available which was a bummer but the cocktails are amazing! I had a gyro plate which was packed to the top and two cocktails unfortunately I cannot remember the names at this time. The restaurant had indoor and outdoor setting. I sat outside which is located next to the adult pool with a bar. The space was clean and service was adequate. The bar/restaurant is within the resort grounds so park at the free parking available!

Easter Sunday. Beautiful warm afternoon. I decided to take my mother to the feature restaurant at Omni La Costa. Booked a reservation on open table for patio seating, and headed over. On arrival, complimentary valet was busy but efficient. Also free which is rare at resorts. We strolled into the restaurant and announced our reservation and reaffirmed our request to sit outside. We were rudely and aggressively told "those seats are reserved." With not a soul in the restaurant, I blinked in disbelief "Reserved?" "They are being held" she responded. We were shown a seat in the far corner away from the bar... and frankly everything else, right under the air conditioning. Immediately, a weird smell entered our nostrils. Cigarettes? Spoiled meat? Funky perfume? You couldn't help but scrunch your nose up at it. At this point, my mother and I were looking at eachother ready to leave. I decided to stick around for a beer and appetizer. Our waiter came over and it must have been his first day on the job. He was shaking, stuttering, spilled our waters then couldn't pour a beer in a glass for me without spilling a quarter of it. He then disappeared from the restaurant after serving us drinks and taking our food order. The 20 minute "beer and appetizers" turned into 45 minutes of trying to get my bill and choking on the smell of stale cigarettes and gross perfume. I wont be coming back. The whole experience was immensely disappointing... oh, and the fries were gross.

We come here all the time. It's a perfect spot for drinks and dinner. Valet is free. It gets crowded during the week when there are conventions at the resort, but the place is huge. I think it's overlooked by locals because it's inside the lobby of the Omni, but it's a great sorts bar and lounge.

We absolutely loved being in this beautiful hotel on the 4th! Sitting at the bar was a huge treat! Really the best cosmopolitan I ever tasted! And my husband loved their rendition of a Woodford Old Fashioned! Fun food and stellar service by Nick the bartender!! Views galore and lots of places to sit and enjoy your food and drink but nothing beats sitting at the bar. Can't wait to go back and try something new! Love the awesome valet service too. Tip large they completely deserve it!

Hadn't been here in awhile and decided to have a late afternoon drinks. The food was great as well as the unique drinks. We sat outside on the patio with the fire pit and was a perfect afternoon. The service was great as well.

If you get the privilege of having Leanna wait on you you will want for naught. She was so attentive to our party it started with two people and ended up with seven - as soon as the next person sat down she brought a water and asked for our order. I'm also impressed because as soon as I was getting to the bottom of my martini she rolled up again asking if I want another drink. I'm super impressed with her skills. A bar is a bar usually but when you have a server like Leanna it makes it extra special (I am talking and texting because I can't see- ha ha. So forgive typos) by the way this place is really busy for being in the lobby of a hotel so her attentiveness was surprising!

The menu has so many great options! The shrimp on the Caesar was so good. I wish the kids menu had better options but the smaller bites are good for that too.

The Bar Traza has a gorgeous interior design and a top-notch wait staff. The service here is attentive, professional and friendly. And the food was exceptional. I had the medium rare New York Steak with Argentinian chimichurri sauce, alongside warm potato salad with pancetta. The dinner meal was very flavorful and satisfying. The restaurant / bar offers indoor and outdoor seating and dining for all, including for kids and their families. I would definitely come again.

This place got me into the spirit of the spa. We had just arrived on a rainy night and I was kind of miserable and hungry. We found a rather simple bar menu but I ordered the hamburger and it was the best burger I have had in the state of California! Even the pickle spear felt special. The waffle fries were the best as well. Not cheap but perfect high end bar food. Don't miss it!

Beautiful view for grabbing a meal at La Costa. The menu is limited right now but has enough to choose from. Large restaurant so servers may be a little bit slower because they are attending to a large section right now.

I recently discovered this place and I'm so happy that I did! The patio seating overlooks the golf course and the interior decor is very elegant. The dining area has a really nice lounge and fire place. I've been here twice and both times I got the shrimp Cesar salad and I love it. My boyfriend got the poke bowl and he liked his too. We ordered a bottle of the wine and the waitress just sat it down in the ice bucket and walked away, she looked young so it's no big deal but I've never experienced that before. We will be back.

Interesting menu but mosquitoes are terrible. If you go, cover yourselves. They are inside and out. If you like dark Porter or stout beer, they don't have that. Food is good and the view great, minus the mosquitos.

We ordered 2 salads for lunch here. One was the strawberry salad and the other a shrimp Caesar. Both were tasteless...really surprised that this wonderful resort has mediocre food. Service was good and ambiance outside was very nice!

Great service and excellent food... as expected. Bar Traza is an attractive venue, whether you're seated inside or out, and the valet parking is no charge. We sat outdoors with a great view of much of La Costa Resort, the golf course, and pool. The staff was excellent, polite and fun and everyone enjoyed their meals. The lunch menu is not extensive, but it is well done and some of the dishes we ordered had an interesting and excellent flare. Just be careful if you orders drinks here. They are very expensive and very weak.

A local, the lounge area at La Costa Omni was a 'go to' - cozy settings, lounge areas and booths, upscale, great quality comfort/bar food, with a good sized menu . We were so curious to try it's new Mediterranean incarnation to Bar Traza. Gone were the cozy couches and booths, more impersonal like a Marriott than a luxury resort. The menu much smaller and limited food options. Roberto our waiter was fabulous and fun, Monique was also and I so appreciated her mask. We started with the Corn Fritters - more like falafel- lots of chick pea flour, tons of cumin and a few corn kernels, very dry and hard. The mussels and clams were average - normally it's all about the broth/sauce, but this was more a tomato paste texture, not meant for dredging the bread. The grains and greens salad was more greens than grains (which is fine as I LOVE arugula), and I had to hint for the grains. The dried figs were oddly hard as rocks and one went flying when I tried to cut with a knife and fork. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as fun and yummy and comfy as in the past and unlikely to go back as it wasn't the atmosphere we go to the sports lounge for (at least the screens were still all up)!

We came in on Labor Day weekend. I had their Shrimp Caesar Salad, our daughter loved her Impossible Burger----declaring it the best Impossible Burger she's ever had. Our sons enjoyed their Cheeseburgers. Hubby ordered the Fish & Chips. He devoured his meal. The pluses: beautiful fire pits, delicious food, free refills on the sodas, attentive, kind and wonderful waitress. Our waitress "Caroline" was attentive and a delight. She anticipated our needs and made it seem as though she was genuinely happy to have us. We loved her energy, her attention to detail and her positive sense of humor. The minuses: we were eaten alive by mosquitoes. Small children ran havoc throughout the patio area. Darting between waiters carrying hot food and drinks. We watched in disbelief as two small boys (maybe ages 4 and 6) scaled the brick wall to perch about 5 feet above the cement. Surprisingly for an upscale dining area there were way too many little kids running amuck. Parents completely oblivious. Waiters carrying hot plates of food and drinks with small children literally running around them. Management completely ignored the hazards of kids playing near the open fire pits and climbing the walls. One other improvement would be some sort of lighting at the tables once night fell. It became too dark to even read a menu. Delicious Chocolate Brownie. Their lemonade could stand improvement--it tastes processed.

This place was the perfect spot for a relaxing dinner! The ambiance was special, the service was top notch, and the food was delish. The manager, Kim, even came over to check on us while we dined to see if there was anything that would improve our experience. What a nice touch! We will be back. Thank you!

Found this gem during Covid as a friend is a member there. Staff was extremely courteous and conscientious of safety and health concerns and the food was very tasty. My friends had the shrimp Caesar salad and I had the field and grains with shrimp and it was delicious! Very flavorful and a good size portion for sure. Not gonna lie, the only reason it's 4 instead of 5 stars is the price ... thankful for member discount but wouldn't have paid that otherwise.

Came here on for Thanksgiving with my family. Parents (50+) crashed early. 4 hrs till covid curfew Wine guy (lionel I believe so so sorry for forgetting was enjoying your service too much) spent his free waiting time attending to my wine questions. Informative, respective, charming, polite Really made the trip tbh. Forgot all about hitting 5+ on hole 7 I think. Cannot thank him enough. We loved this place. This was the go to for us since it has a bar and an amazing view. Both nights we went we received amazing service. Wish I would of gotten the servers name from the first night we went because she was just as outstanding as Makayla! Makayla was amazing! Thank you. The food was great and the drinks were as well.

We stayed at the Omni this week. For my husband's birthday we dined at Bar Traza for dinner. Jesus and Michael went above and beyond and provided exceptional service. Although the menu is limited due to quarantine, each item that was ordered by our party of 9 was delicious. The Mediterranean fries were amazing! We all enjoyed our time and the birthday boy was very pleased. Thank you!

The food was cold, not once but twice. For dinner we went and had fish tacos (fishy fish) w some cold old chips and New York steak (good) and margaritas (2/10). Breakfast was the last straw for me. Ordered the steak and eggs. The steak which was on the menu as skirt steak came out tasting like some thick cold vegan meat. It was ZERO taste no salt and it was cold. Eggs were powdered and the decent part were the French fries w feta cheese on top. The glass water cups tasted and smelt like egg so ask for a straw or bottled water. So upsetting this fancy resort would have poor quality food. Go to il forno instead the pizzas actually looked good.

Amazing food and experience!! great views of the golf course and pool too. we got the apple whiskey sour and strawberry margarita, chips and guacamole, fish and chips, and the cheeseburger. everything was so delicious. Finished dinner with a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. highly recommend eating here

Had burrata salad, French toast, and smoked salmon. All really good. The burrata salad had really good tomatoes. Brioche bread for the French toast was thicc and great! Generous amount of smoked salmon on a potato hash and an awesome view!

We ordered the nachos tonight - i think they're using canned chicken and cheese from a can. Really Omni???!!!

Pretty normal food. Nothing special about the ahi tuna, salmon panzanella, or the flatbread. The mezze appetizer was good. Service was good. Best part was the view of the golf course and the spacious outdoor patio.

I came to this elegant bar several times and last Friday a Band added lots of fun by playing nice music and popular songs, as I remember it is called Fergunized.

We had a great time on Friday last week. Great food, beautiful view and the Music was excellent by Fergunized Band, we really enjoyed it. That's my 2nd time to Omni and won't be my last time

Salmon was delicious. Great service from Josh. Menu is small but everything worth it.
