We visited this wine bar yesterday, a place we had enjoyed before with my wife.
Unfortunately, this time the service left us disappointed.
The staff was overly pushy – we were constantly asked if we wanted to order more. We were drinking wine by the bottle, but the waiter poured very large servings, which made the wine run out quickly and created pressure to order another bottle, instead of letting us enjoy the moment and the company of friends.
When we declined dessert, the check was immediately brought – and then taken away again. Later, when we were ready to leave, it took around 10 minutes just to get the waiter’s attention for the bill, and then another long wait for the payment terminal.
We asked to split the bill into three parts – two equal, and one smaller. I even showed the exact amounts to be charged from each card. The waitress refused, saying it was impossible. After insisting, we were refused again. Only after a rather unfriendly exchange with the staff was the bill finally settled properly.
It left a very unpleasant aftertaste.
A good place, but the impression was ruined by poor service.
