Great spot for good selection of wine and good food. I ordered the chicken kebab, they were tender and juicy. My wife got the castellfranco salad, which was delicious and crunchy. The burger was okay, it was simple - just beef patty and beef. Overall, a great spot for dinner and wine. They have happy hour as well, which we hope to come back to try next time.

Bar V is an absolute gem. We had the sucuk, the short rib sandwich, and the croissant breakfast sandwich—every dish was exceptional. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the flavors were thoughtful, and the sourdough was fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxing and chill, making it the perfect spot to linger over a great meal. Honestly, why stand in line in the cold for predictable bagels and standard American lunches when Bar V offers a warm, cozy space and food that’s actually exciting? A truly excellent brunch and lunch spot. Highly recommend.

Bar V was highly recommended to me for its food and ambiance, so I went in with high expectations. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to them. The wine list was fairly limited, and the service was the bigger disappointment. Our server felt disengaged, rushed, and somewhat dismissive — the opposite of the relaxed, welcoming energy you hope for at a neighborhood bar. There were no thoughtful recommendations, and everything moved quite slowly. We ended up ordering a couple of appetizers and one main before deciding to continue our evening elsewhere in the West Village, where the overall experience felt much more polished. I can see how some people might enjoy it, especially since it’s a bit more affordable than other spots nearby. But if you’re looking for a high-quality experience in WV with attentive service, this likely isn’t the place.

If we can’t get there two times a week we at least try once a week ! We get these teeeeeeeny tiny little dumplings that they hand make everyday!!!!!!! They dance around your mouth and are soo soo good! My girlfriend and I will sit at the bar order some nibs and Prosecco 4-7 and we are happy campers ! We have enjoyed this place since they have opened and it gets BUSY! I won’t be surprised when it’s difficult to get a reservation !

Such a great spot - stylish and cool ambiance, great selection of wine, small menu but everything really delicious! We tried almost everything on the menu and it was very impressive! Highly recommended

My new go to spot for a drink & some apps. I have been several times & each exceeds my prior expectations. The atmosphere is a great vibe & the staff is incredibly friendly & knowledgeable of the menu. The waitress even recommended a wine which is my new favorite! Would definitely recommend for a date spot or catching up with friends!

This place has been on my radar for a while, and I recently discovered they started serving brunch! Brunch in the West Village is a must.

Bar V is a cozy, cool spot with amazing vibes. The wine selection is top-notch, and the staff knows their stuff. The food is simple but packed with flavor and always on point. Perfect for a chill night out with friends or a low-key date. Definitely a hidden gem!!

Super chill and pleasant vibe! Stopped here for a drink with my friends on Halloween and we were so glad to stumble across it. Atmosphere was so nice. The menu was straight forward and the snack menu looked good as well, but we weren't particularly hungry. Server was really sweet and dressed up as well, it was fun that everyone was in the Halloween spirit haha

So grateful we found this place. West Village was INSANE on Halloween night, and this place was so chill. The vibes were great, love the low, warm lighting and all of the decor on the walls. We ordered a couple of glasses and enjoyed people watching and got to get off of our feet for a while. Our server was also super sweet!
