Bar Veloce

Italian-themed wine bar with an impressive collection of wines at friendly prices, also serving tasty small bites. The place is inviting and the noise level is low allowing for conversation. The staff is friendly and efficient. The decor is more post-modern lumberyard than the result of a thoughtful esthetic design but it doesn't get in the way. Other wine bars in the neighborhood are better looking but this is a place where I would be visiting more often. In its category Veloce gets it right

Great wine bar on the UWS. Venue is perfect, their selection is effective. The interior space has a bar as well as seating for groups (imagine family style wood tables with stools). The grub menu leaves room for more to be desired but everything else is worth the visit for happy hour drinks after work.

Wine selection was diverse and ambience was great for a Saturday night. Prices were just as expected for a spot right on Amsterdam.

A nice spot for post-work drinks and snacks, with the parmesan being delicious. Companion said it was good wine, and my bottled beer was fine. I was a little surprised that they charged $4 for a club soda, but we're all in this for money, right? Service could have been more attentive on three occasions throughout the evening. Otherwise, good spot, would return to try the paninis.

Today was my first time at Bar Veloce and it was amazing!! They have a Happy hour 7 days a week. We just had an delicious Frascati Secco white wine from Italy for only 7 dollars. Bar Veloce has Friulano. Great place for a nice glass of wine, panini and gathering. The bar was very clean and the service was A+. The bartender was very polite and well informed about the quality and origin of the wines. Great Italian wines! Planning to become a regular. Thanks Bar Veloce!! See you soon.

Great neighbor bar. Not the young college crowd like some of the other bars on Amsterdam. Bar Veloce is a great place for a date, great wine selection, and unique cocktails. Food available too.

Classy place with professional staff. Plenty of space for meeting someone at the bar or bringing a group around the tables. The long angled mirrors across the wall give the illusion of a much larger space.

Warm and friendly feeling wine bar with great selection of wines and small plates. Good addition to the neighborhood.
