Bar Vesúvio

It's famous because one of Jorge Amado's books. Good service!

The buffet was delicious! I especially loved the pineapple mint juice. The bar is quite busy, but you don’t have to wait long because it’s a buffet.

Ok food, nothing special. A few of the main dishes were out of stock unfortunately. C'est la vie.

The atmosphere, service and organization are great. Alas the food was overwhelmingly not good and cold.

Quite important place to visit but could be so much better. The service was rather nice but not too attentive. I was quite disappointed with the food selection in bufe - didn't have many options, was hoping for more tradicional options to taste, however it was quite tasty and fresh.

Historical place, back to the Golden era of Cacao producers - there’s a funny story where the men used to stay here while the wives went to a ling stay at the church. They say there was a secret passage to Bataclan. Anyhow management was recently overtaken by a group of young guys who like good food & drinks. So here you can find a beautiful retrofit building with good food & drinks.

Historical and traditional bar in Ilheus. The famous Brazilian writer, Jorge Amado wrote about Vesuvio in his book "Gabriela." Over the years it has changed a lot, but only for the better.
