Google
My new favorite neighborhood restaurant! Ordered the gyro salad and fries and both were incredible and the salad was plentiful! Gyro meat was perfectly seasoned and loved the charred bits in the salad. The fries were perfectly seasoned and had just the right amount of crispiness. I added my own bell pepper and got the dressing on the side. The second picture is what was left over!

Google
Best falafel I think I have ever eaten. I also had a chicken shawarma. Since I'm new to this type of wrap. I give it a 4. Very tasty and full of chicken and fresh veggies.

Google
Oh me oh Yum! 5 stars for excellence in customer service and the food is delicious

Google
The food here is excellent. They make nice smoothies and the lamb shank is very tasty. I also love their salad. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the wait for freshly cooked food is short. I just wish they had one on the south side of Atlanta.

Google
Very yummy! Hit the spot. Definitely had a LOT of mint and pepper in the sauce on the salad and dolmas, though. More than I am used to. The rice was also light and fluffy. Lamb felt less heavy than other places I've had gyro at, but still delicious

Ordered online in the middle of the day. When I arrived, door was locked and lights were off. All phone numbers gave a robo message from Verizon that the number did not exist. Had to call my bank to cancel the payment.

Finest establishment in Stone Mountain! If you haven’t eaten there hurry and do so! Your taste buds will thank you!

Google
Unbelievably good chicken shawarma wrap. I caught them right at open where the spit had perfectly crisped the outside of the chicken, but kept the inside juicy. They also pan sear the meat a little before adding it, and then they heat the entire finished wrap so the pita has the perfect level of soft crunch. Just overall a good product and presentation. Wish I lived closer.

Yelp
Oh me oh my! Oh Oh Yum Yummy! Your Health is Your Wealth- Invest in your inner being.

Yelp
Ohhh yesss, this place is a gem. Very cost effective and great food. I got the chicken shawarma with baraka sauce and I was so pleased. The pita size is much more generous than most places I've been to - most don't even include the pita! Not pictured is the baklava which is a MUST. Will definitely be going here again

Yelp
I had a super long day of traveling, I was so hungry. I ordered the falafel via door dash. I couldn't finish it. It was so so so dry. Both the falafel and the pita bread were like card board. I'm still super hungry and can't bring myself to finish eating. I'm so sad and disappointed. I can't even really order anything else because it's a work expense so I'm going to bed hungry. Nothing worse than a disappointing meal after already being tired and exhausted from traveling. Such a bummer.

Yelp
A great little hole-in-the-wall in Stone Mountain! I got the combination shawarma and I was very impressed by the flavors. The menu was not overly complicated and the service was great.

Ronyah R.

Yelp
Just purchased the Gyro Plate. It was awful, no taste, the lamb was chopped up, not nice slices. The lettuce and tomatoes were wilted, not fresh. And the pita bread was hard. Just plain awful!! My first time and last!.

Aisha S.

Yelp
The staff really cares about you (although a bit more can really help), and is very personable. Food is awesome, and although its a bit simple inside, the food and personality of the owner overpower that.

Dionne T.

Yelp
Tasty food. Large dark interior. The lamb shank is tender and the salad and rice are both flavorful.

Tauheedah M.

Yelp
I went in here to try halal food in the area. The food was okay. I was disappointed that the only sauce for the shawarma was mayonnaise based. True Garlic Sauce doesn't use Mayonnaise. I was also disappointed bc the only sambusas they offer is beef or lentil as I don't eat beef. I always am on the hunt for a good chicken Sambusa. My Husband enjoyed his Shawarma and his beef sambusa. My lentils Anisa was really lentilly . Customer Service was great. I pray for them much Success.

Yelp
Good service, our two plates had hot fresh tasting food. Also enjoyed the pistachio baklava.

Bahradin A.

Yelp
Delicious food and excellent customer service. My kids love it very much every I asked which restaurant they would like to go that is their first choice.

Yelp
We have been searching for good Mediterranean Food since we moved to Atlanta in 2020, we have finally found it in Baraka Shawarma!! The food is amazing and full of flavor. The best falafel I have had in Atlanta. The staff were extremely nice and ensured are order was correct and timely. We will definitely return to Baraka Shawarma routinely and so should you! Great food!

Jamarcus T.

Yelp
Sometimes yelp steers you wrong. In the case of Baraka Shawarma, the reviews definitely live up to the food you're chomping down on. I paid Baraka a visit while out and about looking for lunch and this is definitely a hidden in plain site gem. Located in the Memorial center strip, Baraka is in the furthest left corner of these shops. The interior is much larger than I would have thought from the outside storefront, making you and all of your friends having no problem stopping in for a meal. Speaking of meals, I ordered the following: Combination Shawarma ($7.49) Chicken sambusa ($1) Beef sambusa ($1.49) So starting out with the Sambusa, I should first say that all of their sambusa (there's a veggie too) are $1.49 each, but if you buy 2 of them, they're $2.49. These were both lightly fried triangular shaped pieces stuffed with beef or chicken. More veggies are stuffed in with the chicken, as it looks like only carrot slices are found within the beef. Both of the sambusa were delicious, crispy and were bursting with flavor. I'd highly recommend these! The Combination Shawarma gets its name from being filled with both chicken chunks and lamb, and also filled with lettuce, onion, and sauce. The size of the regular is very generous in terms of the food you get. After eating it I was stuffed. Nice flavors, tender meats and an all around fav for me. Located off of memorial drive, in the Memorial Center, there's a couple of exits here and one is a red light exit, in case you want to turn left onto memorial. Parking here is shared and so you'll find a spot i'm sure. I went on a weekday afternoon and even though there was one person ahead of me, it still took me about 20 minutes to get out of there. I'm not sure how staffed they were, but I only saw 2 people, one placing all the orders and one in the rear. Either way, I stood for several minutes before I was addressed. With that said, if you're looking for fast service, that doesn't include Baraka. At the end of the day, I do like Baraka Shawarma, and I was happy to stumble over them. Good flavors, large interior, here's hoping they get some more foot traffic .

Yelp
I had the lamb kabob wrap! The lamb was super tender and seasoned to perfection especially for the price! The young man at the register was very sweet and informative with the suggestions! I've been back twice next time, I'll definitely take pics

Sharon C.

Yelp
It's a rare opportunity where I can give 5 stars. You can definitely tell everything is freshly made and authentic. It seems family ran and can be a little cleaner, especially the pos system. Other than that the food was very on point. Plenty of seating and tons of people ordering here which is always a great sign. They also have outside seating.

Lucas F.

Yelp
Wish I could leave a review without a rating, because I have no idea what their food is like - drove there and they were closed way before (over 2h) the listed time. So, hope they update their times

Yelp
I ordered the 2 Regular Falafel Sandwich- Vegan Style.($6.49 each) I also ordered 2 small orders of fries ($1.99 each) (I didn't see unfortunately that there was a large order of fries. I also ordered 2 Sambusa ($1.00 each) and 1 order of baklava ($1.99) Total: $20.48 I think overall the food was decent but I feel like it lacking additional flavor. The best thing I would say was the Sambusa and the fries was good too. I usually get extra sauce on the falafel sandwiches because It what I prefer, but I did not because looking at another ordered that was being made, they put a great amount of sauce but to my dismay unfortunately there was not enough when I got home. It would have made the sandwich a bit better because the falafel were extremely dry unfortunately. The baklava tasted like sugar bread. Not what I am used to. I would go back but probably just for the sambusa and fries, maybe even try the falafel again but it would be sparingly. Overall it's up for you to decide but definitely if it had more of flavor it will be a hit. (Ps also I had way more fries then this I just grab a bit from the pile. )

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was friendly and helpful. I came here with my mom and we really enjoyed the food! If you are in the area and looking for great quality, Mediterranean food, come here! I will be back!

Justin J.

Yelp
Very decent spot. Got the gyro wrap which was chill and an appetizer. Typical hole in wall spot. Folks were nice.

Gina S.

Yelp
Delicious hummus and best baba ganoush I' ve ever tasted. And the falafel and salad are excellent as well.

dawud a.

Yelp
Excellent food! Excellent service! If you like Mediterranean cuisine then you should check them out.

Lilly S.

Yelp
I've been looking for a good Mediterranean spot since I moved to ATL. If you're in the same boat, do it do it do it. Wow was the food incredible. I got combination gyro and chicken shawarma plate. Both were delicious. The baklava was out of this world, I'm glad I only got one because I would eat an entire pan of that. The young man and the woman who were working were both incredibly polite and the service was very quick. I'll be back again. And again and again.

Andrew K.

Yelp
Kind of a weird review, but here goes: I have eaten here before. Food is pretty good. No reason not to stop by if you're looking for shawarma. But that's not the reason for the five stars. Today, I made a telephone order from this place, only to discover half an hour later that I wouldn't be able to come pick it up. My conscience told me to call and offer to pay for the food. The staff was very friendly and understanding, and told me not to worry about it. I thought it was a really classy move on their part.

Helloo M.

Yelp
Love this place definitely alway delicious and fresh! Definitely would recommend to people just visiting in town it's definitely a hole in the wall

Ethan T.

Yelp
Food was great, place was clean, the staff were super friendly and polite! Don't judge it until you try it.

Emily M.

Yelp
Very nice people from the moment you walked in the door and the food did not disappoint. My husband and I Had the lamb Gyro Plate !! My meal was the BOMB best garlic sauce since I lived in Amsterdam...Taste just like was eating in Europe...Authentic Mediterranean food at its finest VERY good we'll be back for more The owner allowed me to sample the chicken gyro very juicy will order next time. Thank you! I'll let the picture speak for itself

Kiera A.

Yelp
I ordered the tilapia plate, beef sambusa and baklava through door dash. I wasn't really a fan of the the taste of the tilapia or the rice it came with. It wasn't necessarily nasty, just...not good‍. The fish itself is very bland. The Baraka sauce on it does have a very strong garlic flavor, and that's about it. The flavors are very one dimensional. The salad it came with however wasn't good, and there wasn't much of it. The sambusa had a decent flavor and the baklava was ok. Overall, this isn't this isn't the place for me

Deven W.

Yelp
ordered online today (a friday) and when i came to the restaurant to pick up my food the business was closed. multiple people came after me confused on why both doors to the business was closed. i just want a refund because i drove 30 minutes to try out the food

Eryn P.

Yelp
Friendly people and delicious food! Love being able to get good meals like this through a drive through, beats all the fast food around here.

Chris T.

Yelp
I've been back 4 times since I found this place a month ago. Great gyros, schwarma, falafel, baklava....

Seni S.

Yelp
One word "Yummy!!" I was in Atlanta visiting. While driving around Stone Mountain area, my kids were hungry so we decided to stop at this restaurant. My kids are very picky eaters, but they LOVED the food here. It was so good, we took some to the hotel. The lady, who said her name is Hoda, was very sweet, and she helped us pick the food. Very great customer service. I will definitely will come back again. Yes, I would recommend it to friends/family. Thanks.

Yelp
I have been on a shawarma kick, and I have yet to find a bad restaurant in the area! Baraka is another winner. They've only been open for a few months, and I hope they keep their doors open for many years. My wife and I both tried the chicken shawarma plate. It came with seasoned rice, a small salad, and some pita bread, as most shawarma places do. So delicious. We'll definitely be going back for that meal. I also love Merhaba Shawarma in Clarkston and Arhiboo Shawarma over by the Dekalb Co. Jail. I would say Baraka's chicken shawarma is very similar to Arhiboo's, which makes sense. Supposedly, Baraka used to be in Arhiboo's current location several years ago. I think Merhaba's chicken might be a little leaner than the other two, which is great in its own way. It's hard to pick a favorite. There are a lot of similarities between the three. All three have incredibly flavorful chicken and rice and all three have really friendly people behind the counter. The side salads are different and Baraka has the most seating, if you plan on bringing a group.

Jon W.

Yelp
My wife and I stumbled upon this place after visiting the World of Coke. Delicious chicken and gyro shawarma. The baba ganoush was also fantastic...probably the best that we've ever had! But our favorite part was interacting with a staff member named Abdul. This southern gentleman provided excellent service and he even let us taste 2 desserts for free (awesome banana pudding - wow!) His friendliness really made us feel welcome. Thank you Abdul!

Wes E.

Yelp
Wow, what a place! These people are so nice! I'm writing this as I eat the food in the parking lot. I got the lamb sandwich, jumbo, spicy. Some of the best stuff I've ever put in my mouth! The amazing woman up front also gave me a huge sample of the chicken and lamb on basmati rice with their sauces to try and it is so good! Will definitely be coming back.

Sai S.

Yelp
I've been here few times last month since I discovered this spot...the jumbo shawarma is where it's at.

Paris S.

Yelp
Food was so good I did not have a chance to take a picture of my food. However I had the combination plate with lamb and chicken over basmati rice, Greek salad, a side of hummus with pita bread and for dessert a nice slice of baklava. A sweet lady name "Houda" had taken my order and made sure my food was prepared fresh. Food was good and had a nice price to it as well. When I have a taste for some good , authentic Mediterranean food this is a spot that definetly will get my business again. Hmmm Delicious

Tee B.

Yelp
Accidentally ordered from this place (thought it was another place LOL) I was pleased with my food! The establishment is very clean visually. That says a lot being off of Memorial dr. I ordered the chicken shawarma. Satisfied my pregnancy cravings!!! I will be back

Julia H.

Yelp
This place is solid gold. Best lamb gyro on this side of town. Fries are fully cooked but soft in the middle with crispy ends. Tabouli is fresh and flavorful not that mushy stuff other places try to pass off as tabouli. And the Dolmas. Oooooh the Dolmas. Reminds me of my greek grandmas house. The place is clean and the people are friendly. I can't wait to try their gyro pizza. I'll update once I've tried it but I already know this place is going to be my go to for shawarma.

ADub W.

Yelp
Food was authentic and delicious!!!! Don't be fooled by the location/surrounding businesses. Staff was very friendly and food hot and fresh, cooked to order. Wish I had one in my area so I didn't have to drive so far!

Ainsley J.

Yelp
I can't even explain how good this place is!! Small, friendly, family-run vibe with generous portions and DELICIOUS flavors. Get the special Baraka garlic sauce for your shawarma, it's life changing!!

Sis M.

Yelp
Best place for a quick grab or sit and relax dining! The food is amazing! Customer service is 10/10! The consistency is even better!

William H.

Yelp
The food was amazing. My family and I stopped here while traveling through Atlanta. I had the lamb gyro and it was absolutely perfect. The guy running the place was extremely nice and caring to all guests! 10/10!

Nicolette C.

Yelp
Holy mother of god stop right here and order the lamb sandwich (jumbo) with tzaziki, two baba ghanouj because you're gonna want you're own, and the dolmas!! Oooo can't wait to try more things

Mak I.

Yelp
I love the fact the everything is fresh. You wait for the food, but my god is it worth it. I've been here several times - I don't think I've ever eaten anything I didn't enjoy

Michael M.

Yelp
Small quiet place, good menu choices, good food would definitely head back there when in the area. Don't let the location fool you. Food is great and the people there are friendly.

Jennifer F.

Yelp
The food is amazing, It's fresh and very favorable. The customer service is impeccable. They are always kind and willing to accommodate any substitutions. The hummus is so good. I always get the combination shawarma plate and it never disappoints. They also have smoothies. I have only had the mango and it is so delicious. Every time I come here I leave doing my happy dance. Yeah it's that good

Christiano T.

Yelp
This place is like a dive bar. It's not that great looking but the food makes up for that. I was greeted by a very nice lady who let me taste lamb for the first time. It was very tasty. She makes a killer chi tea which I think is better than Starbucks. There food here is tasty. If you don't know what shawarma is it's like a taco but different meat and in some cases more meat. Try the olive leaves wrapped in rice. I don't know what it's called but it's different and good. Than you for great food.

Mia K.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!! We got chicken shawarma and french fries and we loved it!!!! Definitely going to order food from here again!! Chicken Shawarma

Gloria L R.
