This Indian restaurant is one of those places you instantly love discovering. From the moment I walked in, the service was excellent. The person who helped me was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. They even spoke a bit of Spanish, which made the experience more personal and fun—we joked around a bit and it felt very genuine. What I really appreciated was being offered samples so I could choose the sauces I liked best. That made a big difference. I ended up with a lamb and chicken shawarma that was absolutely delicious—great flavor, well seasoned, and very satisfying. The portion size is just right. I usually eat a bit more than the average person, and I left satisfied—not overly full, but definitely not hungry either, which says a lot. The price is more than fair: $11.99 for a shawarma this good is a real hidden gem, not one of those so-called “gems” promoted by paid pseudo-influencers with no soul. This is genuinely good food made with care. Service was fast, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the shawarma had incredible flavor. I’ll definitely be back and will bring my whole family next time. I just hope they have samosas available so I can finally try them. Highly recommended.

“Baraka” can be translated to Blessings. Indeed, I feel truly blessed after eating at this restaurant. All the food is Halal, and the customer service is very kind. The food is great! Nice and Hot! Great for a cold day, especially now during the winter. But, honestly I see myself eating here year round. Thank you!

I visited Baraka Shawarma with a colleague, and it’s tucked away in an older plaza that’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it. Inside, there was just one gentleman running the show, and it took about 25 minutes for our food to be ready as there were people ahead of us. We tried the chicken shawarma, chicken and gyro shawarma, and my colleague ordered dolmas with a tabouli salad. The shawarmas were generously sized with a fair amount of protein. I really liked the bread they use, it’s the proper kind for shawarma and done perfectly. The sauces were nice, though the meat wasn’t quite as tender as I was hoping. My colleague said the dolmas were cold, but the salad was fresh and had a good portion of meat. The owner was kind enough to offer us a small piece of gyro to try with his signature sauces. Prices seemed reasonable for the portions.

Stopped by for a quick bite and was BLOWN away. Was not expecting to happen across my new favorite shawarma place today! Great service, super friendly! The Baraka sauce is a MUST with the veggie samosas. Highly recommend this place 10/10!

My first time at Baraka Shawarma was excellent. I met the owner who was very polite and eager to show me how his food tasted. I mentioned I wanted a chicken shwarma platter. Before he rang me up he suggested that I try a few different meats and sauces to help me make my decision. He went straight to the prep area and sliced off some goodies. The lamb, gyro, and chicken were very fresh and after I told him I avoided dairy, he sampled several sauces that really hit the spot (Baraka and Sunshine sauce). I ended up buying an extra meal so I could have a buffet of what he shared. I also decided to try a few appetizers too because at that point, I was curious. I added dolmas and some falafel. Everything was delicious and I'll definitely be back for more! This is a hidden gem in Tucker, one that you should definitely support.

First time trying Middle Eastern food and it was a great experience. The food was fresh, the sauces were flavorful, and everything tasted really good. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.

Baraka Shawarma in Tucker is an absolute gem! The food was amazing — everything was packed with flavor and served in generous portions. We ordered the chicken and lamb plate, and it was honestly one of the best we’ve had. The samosa is a must-try — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced! What really made the experience stand out was the service. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He even let us sample all the different sauces they offer (each one better than the last!). You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in their food. We’ll definitely be back — highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic, delicious shawarma with great service!

I had the Chicken & Lamb Mix Shawarma. Amazing!! The guy working allowed us to try out the sauces they had and we picked the mixture of Sunshine (sweet) and Hot Sauce. One of the best shawarma’s I’ve had compared to other locations I’ve tried. I highly recommend!

Food was soooo good I cleaned the plate twice and had to take some home. This place is soooo yummy. I mean hands down worth every bit of drive and everything. I will be back tomorrow. This is the authentic food I have been wanting and hunting down for sooo long. So grateful I found this place. And staff is so sweet, family oriented and just felt like home. Can't wait to come back! The food is so good. It's definitely worth the wait, I say this to say that this restaurant is privately owned. It sits in a little shopping right outside of downtown Tucker. The restaurant is inviting. What really makes this place special is the owner, he is welcoming and warm like a family member. You can tell what you're going to eat is fresh and prepared with intention care. I went for the first time on a Thursday and went back that same Friday. The food was so good I couldn't stop and take a picture because I knew I would get full. The portion sizes are generous and the presentation is thoughtful, it's packed away nicely for takeout. My suggestions: you cannot go wrong. Give it a try. Next week I'll return to add a picture.

It was a pleasure to make it back to this place. This is definitely a local spot which makes it so much better. You order at the counter and there about 6 or 7 tables for dine-in. A cozy atmosphere! The food here is always delicious!!!! I ordered the lamb gyro and asked the guy to make however he wanted to. That turned out to be the third best decision I made all day. Gyro was on point!!!! Overall I really like this place and can't wait to come back.

Hands down the best shawarma place in the Atlanta area and I've been to many. Unlike a lot of them that use a cold pita pocket and stuff it with dried out meat, these guys make it in thin lavosh wrap with a generous serving of juicy meat, veggies, and several homemade sauces to choose from. I live 30-40 minutes away, but I gladly make the pilgrimage often. It's that good. And a great value.

I was warmly greeted upon entry! I placed a Togo order! I will definitely return to Baraka Shawarma when I'm in the area! The food is made to order, the owner is very knowledgeable , kind and provides excellent customer service! I ordered the mix plate with lamb and chicken it includes rice, salad , hummus and pita bread! It was more than enough food and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it! Everything was so fresh! The owner allowed me to try all the sauces tzatziki, baraka, sunshine, hot etc. He also shared which sauce goes best with each meat! He also allowed me to try the garlic potatoes which were so good! I definitely wanted to get an order but I already had rice on my plate. The restaurant is a small storefront that includes seating to dine-in.

Food was okay and people/service is nice but my wrap fell apart and I literally had to go back and ask for a styrofoam plate and silverware to eat it. being from the mid west I've had better...

When I first heard about this place, I was told it was basically on Tucker's Main Street, but it's a little further down. Kind of a midway point between Tucker Middle School and Tucker High School, the location is a bit tight for parking. Feels like a hole in the wall that could be a local's hidden gem spot, so don't let parking deter you from stopping by. The food was fresh and although I'm full, I don't feel weighed down because the meal itself wasn't heavy. Plus, the person running the front was friendly and helpful. I was unsure on what to get but with their help, I liked my food a lot. They have 4 sauce options: Baraka, Tahini, Tzatziki, and Sunshine. I wasn't sure what baraka or sunshine would taste like but was able to try some. Without trying, baraka was described as garlicky and sunshine was said to be sweet. Both true statements though I ended up liking sunshine more than expected. I got the mix plate with baraka, tzatziki, and sunshine sauce. The plate comes with pita bread, hummus, and a little salad. The combination of everything was really enjoyable especially the salad since it had a bit of acidity to it, which was nice with the sunshine sauce. They also have wraps that come in size regular or large. I'm not sure what the sizes are like, but large was filled to the point food spilled out and filling in that I'll prob eat a light dinner.

Oh my goodness! This place is a hidden gem. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. And the gentleman who took our order and made our food was really nice. I had the falafel plate and my friend had the lamb gyro. We recommend both.

My family really enjoys the food, especially when I bring home for take out. It is healthy, tasty, and affordable. The chicken shawarma plate and combination plate serve four in my opinion. My family also likes the tabouli salad so I get a large one for everyone to share. I have not tried the desserts but there are several that I would try if I was eating sugar. The eating area is small so ordering ahead for take out is more convenient. There is a small convenience fee online but I figure my time is worth it. It is a small establishment but definitely worth supporting! FYI, there is a sign that it is Halal meat on the entrance. Come support this local business!

Stopped in for lunch, had a chicken Shawarma (w/ baraka sauce and hot sauce) wrap and some baba ghanoush. Both were delicious and exactly what I needed today! I'll definitely be back.

Very fresh and tasty food served by friendly staff. They have chicken, lamb, falafel and veggie wraps, plates and salads. Each comes with your choice of sauces: baraka, sunshine, or tzatziki. The meat is halal and perfectly seasoned and cooked. To go and dine in is available.

Being new to Baraka Shawarma, the owner let us try the different sauces on meat, all exceptional. I ordered the regular chicken shawarma and hubby a mixed meat shawarma. You can see the different size levels by the attached pictures. The shawarma's are placed in a think lavosh-type bread and then inside a round wrap. We really enjoyed the crunchy, flakiness texture of the lavosh bread and it kept everything from spilling out. The shawarma's themselves were super flavorful, with great fixings inside. With top notch management running this locale, it's a definite win for the consumer.

The gentleman here gave me samples of all their sauces when I wasn't sure which I wanted (and they were all delicious). Both the chicken and the lamb were excellent! I felt that the price was very reasonable also. I plan to go back and try something else and get a little dessert too!

Absolutely a must try. Best Shawarma I've had yet in Atlanta. Large Lamb wrap was a lot of food but it was so delicious I had to finish it all. Service made you feel like family. Barak sauce was new to me and they offered a free sample. Quite tasty. They had the right spicy sauce IYKYK.

Came here to grab dinner for takeout. The gentleman working there was very friendly and sweet and gave us samples of the sauce to try which was so nice. We ordered the falafel plate and the combination plate with hummus and 2 pieces of baklava. Everything tasted great and was made fresh. Will come back again!

Food was delicious, especially the lamb gyro meat. Enjoyed the Baraka and Tzatziki sauces with the combo plate I had. Owner let me and my son sample the lamb with the different sauces and they were all good.

He receives well and treats his customers well, but his shawarmas food do not live up to my expectations. Place is cozy and calm.

Wanted something new and was recommended by a couple of friends to try this in Tucker. Blew my expectations-- I've only tried the Lamb/Chicken Shawarma's with the Baraka and Sunshine sauce. The nan-bread used is cooked to a crispy-texture and both are suuuper amazing, the vegetables really help blend the flavors from the meat w/sauce. Size-wise, regular is about 9 inches and large is a foot-long. The place is well-kept with small clean tables & chairs around to dine-in. Highly recommend trying this spot.

The staff is friendly, and the food is so good. The shawarma plates and salads are delicious, served in generous portions. Everything super fresh. The flatbread is perfection. I'll be back!

My son had a late soccer practice in the area and we needed a quick dinner afterwards for him and my toddler. I love middle eastern food of all varieties but this was my son's first shawarma. What I am assuming was the owner saw that he was enthusiastic but hesitant and treated us like family. Let my son try some things to make sure he would like it. Then he made a small off menu item just for my 4 year old. The food was fresh and super tasty. I'll be looking for reasons to go out of my way to stop back by. Incredible food. Even better personal service that went so far above and beyond.

Here's one for the small businesses! I really enjoyed my experience at Baraka Shawarma. The food quality was very good. Days later I'm still eating the hummus I got and it gets better every time I snack on it. What to expect, a small eatery with great service. I highly recommend the shawarma wrap and a side of hummus. Why the 5 stars...it's the quality and service. It's hard to find great service these days.

Hands down some of the best shawarma I've had in a long time. We came in with a large group (unannounced) and the team did a fantastic job of getting us our food in a timely manner and never losing a smile. I don't live around here, but I'd drive over just to get some of their shawarma. You've gotta try the Baraka sauce!

first the owner is awesome. second he worked with me to recreate a dish usual only available in Europe a German style donner which has French fries on the bottom layered with meats and sauces on the top. one of the best drunk meals you can have and one of the best meals you can have. good prices great food! support local businesses this food is 100x better than any big chain stores

It's a small unassuming place with a deli style counter. There were several people in there waiting for their orders, and when it was my turn, the owner who waited on me was very pleasant that allowed me to taste a couple things before making my decision. I had their Gyro wrap which was made up of delicious lamb gyro meat, red onion, pickled yellow peppers and tomatoes with a tzatziki sauce that wasn't over powering in quantity or flavor. My only disappointment was I ate it so fast! Lol definitely check it out. I'll go here again.

Food was awesome! Fresh and flavorful! Service is friendly as well. When we got there only one customer was present but as we waited for our food it quickly filled up despite a torrential downpour. Ambiance is not great, but the food is well worth it. Affordable pricing as well. Probably the tastiest Gyro I have ever eaten.

I was excited to see a new shawarma restaurant in our town. Baraka offers a Lebanese inspired menu served by very hospitable Eritrean family. Saeed served our family samples of the chicken with the Baraka sauce and gyro with the sunshine sauce. We are a family of 5 and everyone loved what they ordered including plates and wraps. We also tried the roasted potatoes with the Baraka sauce. If you're looking for delicious, authentic, Mediterranean food in the Tucker area this is the place to go. They also have locations in Stone Mountain and downtown Atlanta.
