The ambience is as romantic as you can get, especially when seated outside on the dock. The food (especially the skate. THE SKATE!!!) is superb, but I'm docking it one star because the spaghetti (Spaghetti and Lobster) was a bit on the raw side. Otherwise I'm quite glad we stumbled upon this little gem! In addition to the skate, I highly recommend the flore di zucca and the duck prosciutto and fig appetizers, the watermelon negroni cocktail, and the panna cotta dessert (perfectly silky and sweet). Service was prompt and considerate.

Great food and friendly service. Highly recommend Peel and Shrimp on the menu. They have excellent drinks too. Here is some picture of Lobster roll

We ate at the bar on a busy Friday night, and couldn't have had a better experience. We started with absolutely fresh out of the water that morning plump delicious oysters from Widow's Hole, barely a mile down the the harbor. How local is that? Oysters are a special on Friday night. Scungilli salad tender and tasty, rabbit that was out of this world, lobster with buccatini -- could not have been better. Staff friendly, service fantastic.

Absolutely excellent. I walked into here based on a creative looking menu and was surprised with a delicious meal that would’ve fit right in during a recent trip to Sicily. After such a good meal, was not shocked to learn such a respected chef was in the kitchen. What a treat.

We're so glad we took a chance on this spot, despite some mixed reviews. Service was attentive and accommodating. The cured tuna and scungilli appetizers were generous and exceeded our expectations, while the gnocchi pomodoro and pasta with rabbit, peas and carrots, were both pleasingly filling - pure comfort food. Finally, the panna cotta with stewed peaches was a perfect share to finish the meal. The only downside was the busser hovered very close, waiting for us to take a final bite before whisking the plates away. He even swiped my wineglass before I could ask for more! We would absolutely return to this beautiful waterfront restaurant on our next visit.

I was very excited to go to this restaurant as I've heard many nice things about it. I was treating a friend to his 60th birthday. The restaurant is lovely, and the view is peaceful and enjoyable. Our waiter was attentive, and when I asked about the lobster with risotto, he informed me that the lobster was plentiful. Thinking back, I should have sent the meal back when it arrived , as I was quite surprised that there were four small pieces of lobster among the risotto. It was quite flavorful and filling, but my guest did comment after he tasted it, that he didn't want to take any lobster, because there wasn't any in the dish. When I received the check and was charged $42 for it, I was very upset. When I told the hostess of my disappointment, she answered by saying "OK". When I told her that I would not be back, she said "ok". Apparently, she was not trained very well in customer service. I have no problem paying for something that I feel is worth the asking price. However, I was totally ripped off. My guest had skate as his entree, it was delicious, but served by itself, no accompaniments. The waiter was kind enough to bring over a delicious panna cotta for dessert, which was the highlight of the meal. Needless to say , I was embarrassed that I chose this restaurant for a special occasion.

Barba Bianca's second weekend open was smashing. A delightfully simple atmosphere and even more delightful staff. With consideration of nerves, we look forward to returning once the staff has become more comfortable. To start, we had raw oysters (typical Nofo fare). The fried, stuffed zucchini blossoms were perfectly flakey and the ricotta was a dream. Skate fish for an entree was shockingly good & I can't imagine it any other way. Our waiter paired a Pinot Grigio with our meal - a flawless recommendation based on our discussion of the menu. This is the restaurant the North Fork has been missing, anyone who disagrees has never gone out to eat anywhere but the North Fork.

Food excellent however the hostess needs to be replaced. She has no idea how to run the restaurant and treat customers. The table next to us walked out because of poor service and she did nothing to make them stay. Hire a professional not an armature with no experience.
