"About 10 or 15 years ago, new Valencian restaurants modernized and ditched the timeless stainless steel bar. Barbaric didn’t bother. It’s an old-school neighborhood spot that feels familiar yet fresh thanks to a killer natural wine list and a curated music selection that drifts from neo-soul to ’70s funk to modern indie. The menu shifts constantly but stays sharp, with things like fried oysters topped with sweet-spicy mango-habanero salsa that hits like a night in Mexico City, or duck tartare laced with gochujang for an extra umami kick. Barbaric believes high-end food shouldn’t be reserved for the folks with a second beach house and a boat—it’s a pull-up-a-barstool, light-up-your-tastebuds place, and easily one of the most exciting seats in town. Loved this place! The experience felt like the perfect mix between tradition and experimentation, taking Spanish food to the next level with some delicious injection of foreign influences. Great wine list, great set up, great service… and they had the same plates my great grand mother had… quite emotional.

Barbaric Natural Wine Bar. Amazing experience!! We went for my 27th Birthday and we had so much fun! The Food was amazing. Big up the Kitchen Crew! Service was so lovely, they gave us great wine recommendation and did service with alot of love! We recommend the restaurant as well the wine „de Sol a Sol“ Amazing Natural Wine Bar if not the best in Valencia. 10/10 Greetings and Cheers

I went to dinner at Barbaric with my partner during a weekend in Valencia and I have to admit that Alex's cooking left us amazed. You can feel that the taste comes out of the experience. Complementing the efood was Julia’s professionalism in managing the dining experience with her hospitality and detailed explanations of each dish. We have thought about the experience very often and we cannot wait to return and try new seasonal dishes and explore more from their natural wine selection.

A wonderful restaurant. The layout and ambiance are perfect with the spotless open kitchen and friendly staff. All the food was excellent, but the Ostras Fritas and the Clochinas con Patatas really stood out.

The best natural wine bar we tried in valencia! But with the surprise of AMAZING food. Honestly the food is innovative, yet simple, friendly, local and fresh. A small hard working team you have to love in these days of dying hospitality.
