Barbarie's Black Angus Grill

I just had my wedding in the area this past weekend & have to give Barbarie’s a shout out for their part in making it so great! From the rehearsal dinner to the “after party” to a little family brunch the day after the wedding, everything was phenomenal. The food & drinks were amazing! What especially stood out to us was their team. Everyone was so kind, helpful, organized & truly went above & beyond to make each event perfect. They are pros at what they do & everyone was so impressed. Jamie helped us plan everything & was super communicative. Everything turned out better than we could have imagined!

Not going to lie, I checked out the reviews here before I went and they had me worried. I ordered the skirt steak and changed the fries into brussel sprouts. I ordered medium rare. It came out perfect. And very fast. Great drinks menu as well. No regrets. Nice work.

I never leave bad reviews, but this place was the worst $68 I have ever spent on a meal. I ordered the ribeye special and a side salad. The salad was so dry I had to ask for more dressing. The steak was over-seasoned and tasted strongly of rosemary. The potatoes were INSTANT and had no flavor. For the price, I can't believe they served instant potatoes. The cookie skillet was good.

I want to say that I am a frequent patron at Black Angus weekly and every experience is amazing. Starting with the host/manager Nick who is super sweet very accommodating. I move onto the servers, Steve and Randy, they always are on top of their tables and accommodating to all needs. The bartenders Michael and Jordan are phenomenal. You won’t find a better drink in town. They make every drink to your specifications and are always delicious. Lastly, the sweet sweet busser Andrea is top-notch everytime I come here. I feel like I am at home. I want to say that black Angus is my favorite restaurant/bar in Danbury. It’s definitely worth checking out.

I grew up in this neighborhood but surprisingly have never tried this place! But I'm very glad I did as the food was excellent. The steaks are very well cooked and flavorful and I found the other dishes (french onion soup and fried burrata) to be equally as delicious. The service and ambiance of the restaurant are also great! Solid spot to take out family or for a date. Will be back!

First, make a reservation. We went on Thanksgiving Day. They were kind enough to move our 11:30 to 12:30. 2nd, ask for Daniel as your waiter. Absolutely the best. Honest. Sincere. Diligent. 3rd, order the lamb. I have never had lamb. It will be my new thing to eat. It was moist, tender and most importantly, it was flavorful. The atmosphere was busy, but happy. Everyone was having a great time. We spent 2 and 1/2 hours there and never were rushed. We had dessert (skillet cookie and dark chocolate moose) and then drinks. It was the best Thanksgiving meal we have had in years. Daniel is an exceptional waiter. As he gets to know you, he will make suggestions based on your tastes. He pay attention and makes you feel as though you are the only patron in the room. The cocktail was even wonderful and tasty! Couldn't have asked for a better experience and especially on such a busy holiday. This is what my plate looked like after I was beyond full...

I had a late dinner here on Saturday night. It was fantastic. The food was very good with lots of flavor. The portions were on the larger side and the price point was right in the middle and very fair. The waiter we had was really attentive and helpful. The place was very busy and we did not wait long to sit down or get our food without a reservation!!!!!! I definitely will be coming back. The menu was large with many options. We had Tuna Tartare, Chicken Fajitas, Hummus with chopped beef and sauteed onions.... Came back 11/6/21 and had chicken fajitas and a chopped salad. Fantastic food with great fast service. Came back again 4/25/22 loved everything as well.!!! Came back for Christmas eve dinner with some family. 12/24/23

Delicious!! We were in front of out of state, food was wonderful drinks, drinks wonderful, great service. I personally had the surf and turf and it was amazing ! Steaks were cooked to your preference perfectly, flavorful, and tender! Would definitely visit again. We were a party of 5 and they handled it with ease!
