Fun place to go with friends and play some retro cabinet games and other games I'm sure you haven't heard of. The pinball games are awesome. Would like to see more pinball games be added. More games and tables going to the back of the building. Restroom located in the middle(heading towards the back) Clean dining areas. Real Awesome Bartenders! Great beer/liquor/spirits/wine variety. Order at the bar, they'll give you a number and you can just choose a table. Super full when I went but the vibes were great. Awesome music and atmosphere. Good luck with Parking 🤞

Google
Good place to play the early 90s arcade game and a refreshing beer! Food isn't bad at all. The chicken strips crunchy to the bite along with some delicious fries. The only problem, it seems some of the arcade machines tend to swallow tokens. And not playable. After a few lost tokens, the game might work! Choose your game wisely.

This place is the ultimate nostalgia 😍 for adults.. they have a huge variety of old school arcade 🕹 games and pin ball machines .. beer 🍺 on tap is good just didn't see any domestic not bad and the food we had the honey 🍯glazed garlic 😋 wings and fries. Just ask for extra napkins they're really sticky. I had lots of coins left over so I'll be back. 🙌🏼✨️🕹

Google
Updated pictures of all games in my review! ALL GAMES are in pics. I loved it here! Games are cheap drinks that are fairly priced. I didn't try the food. My favorite games are metal slug and Marvel vs. Capcom. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Google
I absolutely love this place, super fun. Games are inexpensive. As are the drinks. I've only eaten here once but I really liked the chicken sandwich and fries. Lots of pinball machines. Old school pac man, mortal kombat, even an Alien. Definitely recommend coming here.

Pulled over for a quick pint. Awesome space! Good service. Super clean! The food menu is all we need at a bar. I didn’t eat anything, but the man sitting next to me was loving his chicken sandwich. Back soon for another pint and try the sliders. Happy Thursyay!

Google
ZERO!!!!!!! Never had I experienced this before until this place. I had always loved this place but me and my friends got turned away for asking for a drink the bartenders said no… yet we saw two other bartenders take a shot of liquor and laugh and serve other parties and told us were drunk… while my friends and I just watch while they serve their friends…. The cherry on top… my friends got charge $100 for three drinks… the other table got charge for $40…… they choose who they want… do better… so disrespectful The cowboy security… thank you! For understanding and being respectful.

Yelp
David is a dream. Everyone was busy & he was so attentive. Had the choice of going elsewhere but he made the experience so great i have no regrets. Best place ever. I was confused about my drink & he helped me figure it out-i ended up getting more than what i bargained for. I live far but bringing my friends here again just because of him. 10/10

Yelp
The drinks are fairly priced, hit or miss on their alcohol strength. My main problem is when I visited this past week, literally every one of the popular games we played had broken controls. NBA Jam's joysticks and buttons didn't work. Street Fighter 2 and Marvel vs Capcom's had stuck joystick and button issues. X Men had broken joystick and broken button issues. After wasting money on the 5th broken game, my date and I decided to leave. It actually really put a damper on the evening. If the whole gimmick of your bar business is the Arcade portion, you'd think they would check to see if their most popular games weren't broken and stealing customer's money.

Yelp
I went here for my buddy's birthday for the first time. The ambiance is nice, the drink selection is good, fun games, a good amount of space. The only somewhat of a downside is the parking area is small, it fits less than 8-9 cars, so I had to park on the street a block over. The staff was nice, and the security guard (Gray) was nice as well. Usually, you have unfriendly security guards at bars and clubs. I don't mind coming back again if I'm in the area.

Yelp
The Chickie, Barcode's take on a chicken sandwich, is a must-try. Featuring perfectly seasoned, juicy chicken paired with creamy avocado, this sandwich is both flavorful and satisfying. The textures are spot-on, from the tender chicken to the smooth avocado, all nestled between a fresh, toasted bun. It's a hearty and delicious choice that keeps diners coming back for more. The Wedgie Salad is another highlight. This fun twist on the classic wedge salad features crisp iceberg lettuce topped with tangy blue cheese dressing, crunchy bacon bits, and sweet cherry tomatoes. The playful name reflects the lighthearted vibe of Barcode, but the salad itself is seriously good--refreshing, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Together, the Chickie and Wedgie Salad showcase Barcode's knack for combining creativity with quality ingredients. Whether you're in the mood for something hearty or something fresh, these dishes are sure to impress! Oh and they have Wizard of Oz pinball! Service was quick and brought out to you, friendly staff.

Yelp
Bar + Arcade! Really great retro arcade spot that caters to adults. The games are 1 or 2 tokens (1 token = .25) Food was standard bar food! I enjoyed the tater tots I wanted to host a birthday party here and save tables. One of the staff members recommended I make reservations. In order to do that I had to get a catering package. I worked with Mars on that. She was great to work with! They were flexible in terms of how I could customize the catering package with food or drink. Overall great place, great night!

Yelp
I've had some great times at this arcade bar! The variety of games is impressive (Shout out for Burger Time and Tapper), and they are all in excellent condition. The atmosphere is lively and fun, making it a perfect spot to hang out. However, I have to mark down one star because they don't update their Google business hours when closed for private parties. It's a quick and easy update, but they just say it's on their website--in small red text, at the very bottom. People usually check Google for business hours, not the website. I only mention this because it happened to me twice last year. We show up to be told they open back up to the public at midnight. A little tip: keeping Google business hours updated could make a big difference. It quick and easy to do too. We love coming here and want to know when it's open to the public, even if it's at midnight!

Yelp
Always some awesome service! Awesome bartenders! Try the KABURGER under fatsandwich section. A Flavorful and savory sandwich accompanied with the Victory Golden Monkey was just delicious. Chill vibes, awesome retro cabinet games and pinball games. Restrooms located in the middle when heading towards the back of the establishment

Yelp
Awesome spot with retro games and pinball serving up killer food. Came in for a company party and got to sample a bunch of the food, everything was delicious. Shoutout to the bouncer, he was incredibly cool.

Yelp
There's a reason Barcades have popped up in cities across the us. Great games, good fun, and it doesn't have to break the bank. We went on a Sunday evening after dinner and the mood was lively and vibrant. We didn't eat or drink - $10 bought us tokens for two of us to play pinball for over an hour. They have all our favorite machines - Adam's Family and Medieval Madness were our top plays. They have all the general favorite upright video games as well as some shooters and driving games with some fun and unusual specials from around the world. There's limited free parking in the lot at the side of the building. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere with nothing else around so it's a good destination for an evening. The food smelled and looked great and we saw some nice looking cocktails, too, but it was a bit of a trek home for us so we didn't drink. The machines are well maintained. Worth a go if you like video games and have an evening to spend.

Yelp
Love coming here on dates w my fiancé and also with family & friends. Every first Sunday of the month kids can come and play from 12-5 & it's pretty fun doing this with your kids! Favorite games are the racing one & the marvel one because you can play with 4 people so it's super fun playing with the kiddos. Drinks are decently priced, not too expensive but not cheap either. Haven't tried their food but their stout nitro beer was delicious & tasted like a cup of black coffee

Yelp
As the name suggests, this is a pretty sizable bar arcade located in the Highland Park area. Lots of awesome classic games as well as newer ones. There's pretty much something for everyone that loves arcade games. Lots of cool modern pinball machines as well. The full bar has a surprisingly great selection of whiskeys. If I were to oversimplify this place, I would say it's like an artisanal Dave & Buster's, and I mean that in the best possible way. I can't say too much about the service because I was distracted by all the great video games. My buddy went to the bar and got me a pour of whiskey. A group of us went on a weekday night to check it out. We all started playing that classic side scrolling X-Men game. One of my favorites growing up! I also played a few awesome pinball games like the Godzilla game. This was probably really specific to the night we were there, but I think there was some weird thing happening in the bathrooms where they had to close early and kick everybody out. Honestly, I wasn't sure what was happening, but it was kind of a bummer because my buddy just bought me a pour Bookers bourbon. The folks there told us that we had to finish right away and leave. Now, if you know about Bookers, it's about usually around 130 proof. Not the type of bourbon that you just wanna drink really fast and get on the road lol. But like I said, things happen and it was probably just specific to this particular night. Really cool spot and I definitely want to come back and play some more pinball games.

Yelp
This place is a bit more busy if you're visiting during a weekend. It also does tend to get extremely loud during the weekend as they have been hosting more larger parties. I did get a table in the back section of the barcade. I have visited here frequently and have noticed the back bar closed on all my visits. The bar is pretty busy most evenings and you have to flag a bartender down to put in your drink order and food order. They do have a wide variety of games for you to enjoy an overall very fun place to visit. My food did come out in a timely manner. I ordered the fat chopper and wings which I highly recommend both. Fat Chopper 10/10- This is very filling but tastes great. The tots definitely complement the sandwich. Side of ranch is an extra cost. Buffalo Wings 10/10- These were very tasty and a bit more vinegar forward. I do wish there was an easier way to order. I find it a bit difficult to order at the bar since there are many patrons that like to sit and eat at the bar top. Maybe moving some barstool from one of the ends of the bar so other guests don't have to reach over those guests who are seated at the bar. There were many occupied seats at the bar that even politely excusing yourself to grab a menu was a bit impossible.

Yelp
I'll just start by saying this is hands down the best arcade bar in Los Angeles. I used to love Button Mash (RIP) but it was such a royal pain to find parking, especially during Dodgers games. And it would get ridiculously crowded. So far, in my experience with Barcade, I've never had either of those problems. There's always plenty of neighborhood parking, it's never too packed with people, and there's actually space to move around freely and explore the game selection. And let me tell you, that game selection is fantastic; I couldn't believe they had Lucky & Wild, a driving shooter game I hadn't played since the early-'90s. What a trip. They also have some rare games you're not likely to find anywhere else, like Chiller (from 1986). And best of all, they're all in working order (which is less common than you'd think with arcade bars). The game selection alone is enough to sing the praises of this place, but the food is also quite good. It's a good choice for a Saturday night, especially if your friends want to drink and you don't. Plenty of options for everyone to have a good time. Best of all, it's a ten minute drive away from my apartment. Long live Barcade!

Yelp
So many great classic games. More importantly- great ponball games. Medieval Madness. Twilight zone. White Water. Og star wars. Adams family. Lots more. Food was great. French fries were too good. Beer decently priced and a ton of options. I only drink beer so I didn't see if they had wine or spritzers or liquor. First sunday of the month kids allowed in noon to 5. Small parking lot but plenty of street parking too. These people next to us were throwing a party and had trays of food that looked enticing for the slimber party Willy that everyone wants to hang with. Grilled cheese sandwiches. Chicken strips. Fries. Tots. Hot dogs. Staff were all friendly! They seemed happy. Good place to pretend like everyone is your friend and they want you to do a good job and are just giving you space to get some pinball records if that's what you need. Thank you.

Yelp
I attended a quasi-surprise birthday party at Barcade last night. It took me right back to the 80's, with some minor differences. Back in the 80's, I was usually one of the few females at the arcade. We would get quarters for change instead of tokens. Barcade serves food, beer, wine and cocktails. The arcade did not. After my husband brought me my Magic Sunglasses cocktail, I wondered where I'd set it down to play some Addams Family pinball. No worries! Little drink stands/tables are strategically placed between the games. I shazamed the song playing when we walked in and it was Antarctica, by Men Without Hats. I was flooded with nostalgia while playing BurgerTime and somehow made it past the first level. I really enjoyed my experience at Barcade!
google avatar

Maya D.

Yelp
Attended a buyout for a work event here. All of the staff were super friendly and it seemed like everyone enjoyed the food & drinks. Lots of games options for those who are interested from driving to traditional arcade ones. It's a fun environment for an adult casual hangout.

Yelp
How do you not like arcade games, drinks and pub food? If you don't, you are utterly crazy! Now that being said, I will say this as well. Negatives are few but here they are: very loud and crowded on the weekends, beers are a bit pricey. But the pluses outweigh....great selection of games, especially if you like pinball (which I do), food is tasty, staff is friendly. Beware you MUST bring your ID or they won't let you in. Even if you are an old fart like me! :)

Yelp
Was here a while back ago back in may of 2023, so this review is a bit old but thought I'd write a review. This place holds special memories for me. It's a nice little setup with a bar , drunchies, and arcade games. Good place to bring a date! Probably won't be back here but highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a fun date idea or if you just want to have a couple of drinks and play old school arcade games!
google avatar

Bellami L.

Yelp
All gamers welcome! Love love the old school games. Drinks was good. But parking was no bueno.
google avatar

Brandon N.

Yelp
Came here for a first date after dinner. Barcade had a wonderful vibe to it from the moment we walked in. Bartenders were all very nice and welcoming and great with recommendations. Drinks were made very pleasing and of higher quality as if from a mixologist, rather than a dive bar feel which was very nice! Drink prices very reasonable from 10-$15 on average and food everywhere I saw looked amazing and plated well. All games were very nice and priced very cheap at 1 or 2 quarters per play and they have a few coin machines for great convenience. Will definitely be back and can't wait, amazing job well done!
google avatar

Jace P.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! They have an excellent menu with plenty of drink options, extensive beer selection, vegetarian options, and the staff are great! The best video game selection of any location - The Simpsons, Terminator 2, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to name a few Makes for a great date night, something different and reawakens that indoor kid in all of us!
google avatar

Liz R.

Yelp
Super cool spot to hang with friends for a yummy drink specials and delicious bar food. The shrimp Po boy is colossal and delicious. Fries are addicting. The old school arcade games are nostalgic. They have a coin machine for you to change your bills
google avatar

Marjorie U.

Yelp
I enjoy going to this place for happy hour. Their bar food is really good, surprisingly so for a bar. The restaurant has two sections. The front part has the bar and some arcade games. If you walk all the way to the back, there are tables and a few more arcade games. It's not as loud back there.
google avatar

Yan F.

Yelp
I haven't been to a Barcade in ages so it's nice to know that arcade is still around!! I can't recall if they always took coins but just know they are not refundable. There is also a Russian guy outside scanning your ID so make sure it's not expired. lol I don't care for alcohol or bar food but for the arcade, I will say Hell Yea!! Long live Barcade for helping preserve the arcades that is being phased out.
google avatar

Mansta A.

Yelp
Lots of vintage games . All 25-50 cents. If you don't have cash the bar will charge your card for tokens. We came on a Saturday and it started getting busy around 9pm We were all really hungry but the food was not that great. I was expecting much better food from a hipster spot. But it was average bar food. We tried the lemon pepper chicken tenders, Buffalo cauliflower, fries, Hennessy chicken sandwich and tater tots. I would give the food 2 stars but 4 stars for the games and drinks! :)
google avatar

Trinity A.

Yelp
first time here, just ordered a drink and had the absolute worst service ever asked what's a good light beer got a side of attitude and condescending comments from the beer tender that wears glasses and slick bun back closing shift. won't be back - local bartender
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Great place horrible service. I have a friend who has an accent but still speaks English. When my friend asked the bartender if they spoke Spanish, Steven one of the bartenders over heard my friend asking and made a racist comment and said that he "hates Mexicans" not knowing that my friend understands English. He was rude to us the entire night we were there, threw our drinks out without asking if we were finished. Shocked and disgusted that such a great spot allows people like this to work here. Will not be coming back.
google avatar

First L.

Yelp
The food was HORRIBLE! The bartender made it up in alcohol. The female bartender was a great hostess.
google avatar

Michi L.

Yelp
A great arcade bar! With plenty of games and pinball games, option for food and drinks, it's a great hang out. Music is playing in the background but they found a good balance between allowing your group talk and hang out and having the music in the background. The only downside is parking. You order at the bar, both food and drinks and then they give you a number to find you in the bar if you order food. Their service is good. The food is mostly typical bar food. And the portions are big. Big enough to share with a group.
google avatar

Cheyenne O.

Yelp
Thank you Barcade for making our team event out of this world! :) From Mars' amazing event service to accommodating my large party to the excellent management and of course the amazing and delectable nibbles! I also loved the vibe of this place! I will definitely be coming back for fun and for another event one day.
google avatar

Jasmine Y.

Yelp
This is a bar + arcade in one. It's got some really fun old- school type games like street fighter, Pac-Man, driving & shooting games, etc. it doesn't have everything you'd see at a Dave Busters though (no basketball shooting games for example). They had lots of beers and a ok cocktail menu. We had the wings, slides, tacos and fried cauliflower - they are pretty standard bar food. The music is on the loud side so not great for conversations. We were here around 6 on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty empty.
google avatar

Chi L.

Yelp
One of the coolest arcade bars I've ever been to! From the outside, I didn't expect it to be as big of a space as it was. Great selection of retro games that I haven't really seen anywhere else, and tokens can go a long way since most games only take one or two. The front and back bar area are connected by a long hallway lined with machines, which is also where the bathrooms are. The back bar was closed when we went, but we came by on a Sunday night so it wasn't busy. It's a perfect date night/hangout spot. Music isn't loud, with the main bar side being more dimly lit with more machines, and the other bar side having more light and a good amount of tables to chairs to talk and eat if you ordered food. Bartenders are friendly and helpful. My go-to is a Moscow mule - my drink was just okay, but it was strong so I didn't mind, haha. My partner ordered a beer from their draft menu and it was actually really good (coming from someone that isn't a fan of beer). I loved how there were small shelves in between the machines so you always had a spot to put your drink down. The parking lot is tiny so you'd be lucky to find a spot in there. We didn't have any trouble finding a street spot down the block, though. Highly recommend, would love to come back another time to try their food!

Linz K.

Yelp
We've been long time patrons and supporters of Barcade LA since it opened, but the dismal service tonight had us thinking twice about ever returning. We were appalled at the level of poor service; we stood patiently waiting at the bar for our turn to order drinks for a considerable amount of time only to be continuously ignored and skipped over as of we didn't exist and finally ended up leaving. It's such a shame that the service has declined, it used to be an establishment who values their customers.
google avatar

Christina S.

Yelp
I come here pretty often with my girlfriend and it's always a nice short date to get out of our daily routine. We do try to go when it's dead because it does get pretty packed. They have a good amount of arcade games such as racing games, pin ball machines, street fighter, ninja turtles, pac-man and many more. The food is not the best, we tried it once and now just stick with the drinks. I do appreciate that the bar tenders are not shy with their drinks. Hopefully one day they can offer a seltzer type drink.
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Sooooooo fun! But some machines do eat your coins! Most machines are 2-3 tokens. They have a cold brew martini which is pretty delicious

Yelp
It's very hit or miss here, depending on who's working the shift. I tend to usually go here during weekend (sat or sun) mid day. It's never really busy here at these times, so one would think good service during these times is easy right? It really depends on the staff who's working that day. Sometimes, you'll get great attentive service and a bartender who actually knows how to make a drink, have good conversations with staff and is professional & polite. This last visit, I stood at the bar for 15min with my wallet in hand on the bar, while the 2 bartenders just sat there and chatted with their friends on the other side of the bar pretty much ignoring us (yet made eye contact with me a couple times). Finally she made her way to me, and i got a margarita, $15 for a tiny 4oz glass and it ended up tasting like a gin and tonic.... Some people really aren't meant be in the service industry, seriously. It's bad enough they make customers feel low priority...but can't even make a basic premade cocktail. I drank my drink quickly, and just left. After this experience, I don't think I'll bother with this place anymore.

Yelp
I come here for the cosmo cocktail. Matt makes the best cosmo in town . Super friendly and great service .

Yelp
Cool games to play, so bring cash so you can get tokens. Bartenders are nice and they had a decent drink menu. We had a good time here. Reminded me of a grown up chucky cheese. I enjoyed pinball, the shooting games and the racing games. Legit. The area is nice too, so you can even walk around outside.

Yelp
Great spot. Stumbled in here one night and now they can't get rid of me. Great for locals and visitors alike. Food is always a smack and staff is hilarious.

Yelp
My relationship with whiskey is on the rocks. Let's us begin this rockin review. Barcade® is a bar and arcade with a focus on classic arcade games and American craft beer. Its chill, brick-walled which makes it a good hangout after work. Also, they offer wines, cocktails and other liquors and food. They are located between Ave 57 and York blvd. Staff (bartenders and bouncer) were respectful, assiduous and professional. They have two full bars at front and back. Their happy hour (noon - 7 p) is great with a dollar off on all drinks. As for the arcades, they have pinballs, street fighter, pacman, nba, galaga, x-men etc. It brings back my inner childhood. To play you need a token which cost a quarter; they have three token vending machines. I liked my Fremont Lush IPA. Free parking albeit limited but there's plenty of street parking. Free wifi. Bathroom was decent with graffitis as decor. Overall, I liked this barcade. It's a good casual bar to chill and hangout.

Yelp
Known as a 21 and over place, I do have to appreciate their monthly family days on Sundays because Barcade is a great place for parents and kids to hang out together. Plenty of games for the kids and plenty of drinks for the parents. Service is quick and the comfort food is what you expect to find at a bar. With burgers, fries, tat-or tots and vegan items, the menu covers all. I follow their family events on Facebook and it's a great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday!
google avatar

Danika A.

Yelp
I highly suggest looking for another place. For the cost and environment it's not worth it. Save your money. The service stinks and the quality of the food is not worth the price.
google avatar

Aliyah C.

Yelp
Came with another person and we had no trouble playing games immediately, everything looked clean, and it was very fun. Granted, it was a Tuesday so not much in terms of crowds. Ordered a spicy margarita that was delicious and definitely left that spice tingle on the lips. Would 100% come back, this place was cool!!
google avatar

Yelp
The barcade is awesome with a great selection of drinks, games, and food. However, the staff are rude and project their insecurities. I asked for a 'honey beer' and mentioned it was the 2nd option to the right and the bartender pictured said loudly 'What!?' with an aggressive and assertive tone. I didn't recognize the name of the beer and mentioned it was the blonde beer draft that's shaped like a honeycomb. She cut me off and started preparing the drink. I then asked about purchasing tokens and she replied sharply in a non-helpful tone. I calmly told her 'you may not be familiar with how you come across but you are acting very rude towards me'- she cut me off and mentioned it was like pulling teeth to place my order. The bartender was impatient and not helpful. It hurts my feelings that my favorite bar is hiring bad bartenders.

Yelp
My first time here was 5/5 and since it was a Thursday, not crowded but a good amount of people there. The parking lot is not that big but we didn't have issues parking here. They offer free non alcoholic beverage to designated drivers. They have a good selection of games. There was only 1 game we were eager to play that had folks playing it but we just went to another game and came back. I imagine wait times on a Friday or Saturday night for a specific game may take a while. The back bar was closed (I imagine because it wasnt busy). The only thing we ordered from the kitchen were fries. I liked the aoili sauce that came with the fries and they use real potatoes ! There are small areas next to the games to put down drinks and food. The bathrooms stalls are tagged in sharpie markers ... just a lot of random stuff really. I would totally come back. We were a small party of 3.
