Very pricey but was a great night! They gratuity even just on one drink purchase this cost $18 and some change. Just need to make sure you are watching your tickets! Other than that the night was a blast! Definitely would go back.

Amazing Vibes and Great Night Out! BarCode Entertainment Complex is the perfect spot for a fun night out! The DJs kept the energy high with great music all night, and the light show was incredible. The staff were friendly and the venue was clean and well-organized. I also really enjoyed the food—surprisingly good for a nightlife spot! Highly recommend for anyone looking to dance, socialize, and have a memorable experience.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience at Bar Code on 8/9/2025. My partner and I purchased tickets for what was advertised as a 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM day party. We arrived at 8:00 PM, well within the listed time, only to find the venue completely empty and closed. Staff told us to return at 9:00–9:30 PM when the club “would open.” We returned at 10:00 PM, only to be told that our tickets were “no longer valid” because they were for the day party — the same day party that never actually took place during the hours we were there. This is unacceptable and feels misleading, if not fraudulent. To make matters worse: We were forced to purchase new tickets to enter. Our personal property (vapes) was confiscated and tossed into a garbage without consent because they’re selling hookah inside. Once inside, we were charged an outrageous $38 for two vodka Red Bulls. an excessive markup, especially after being forced to re-pay for entry due to your staff’s misinformation. We paid for an event that did not occur as advertised, were refused entry despite following instructions from your staff, and were treated with disregard for both our time and our money. If this matter is not addressed promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate by filing a complaint with my bank for chargeback, reporting this incident to consumer protection agencies, and sharing my experience publicly so other customers are aware of these practices.

Carolina is the sweetest, most attentive bartender. She is always excited to greet me, remembers my order and makes me feel welcome. It doesn’t matter how many people are at the bar — she takes care of all of them swiftly and professionally. I love coming to Barcode to visit her!

I attended the Trey Songz event on August 3rd and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The event was advertised to begin at 9:00 PM, yet attendees were not allowed entry until approximately 9:40 PM. Even then, the DJ appeared unprepared and the setup was still in progress. Throughout the night, the music continuously cut off, creating a disjointed and frustrating atmosphere. The staff seemed more focused on promoting bottle service than addressing the small crowd or ensuring a smooth experience for general attendees. Given that this was marketed as a Trey Songz event, the playlist—primarily Spanish music—felt misaligned with expectations. I ended up leaving around 11:00 PM, after being told by staff that Trey Songz wouldn’t appear until 12:30 or later. This gave the impression that his name was used primarily for promotion, rather than as a genuine headliner for a full event experience running from 9 PM to 2 AM. The only positive aspect of the night was the quality of the drink I ordered. Otherwise, it felt like a waste of time and money. Given the delays, technical issues, and misleading promotion, I’m disappointed that no partial refunds or accommodations were offered. Based on this experience, I would not return to this venue. Edit: I’m sure he performed at the last hour as the security guard informed me when I asked about him at 11pm. The last hour doesn’t make it a “Trey Songz” event. Why would I return for a night full of lateness and technical difficulties? Just to be told my sell was final. Terrible customer service. The lady that got help finding her keys was her highlight. The lq helped her not the actual event. Terrible experience once again

Yelp
I like the music and the setting in this club. I come from California at least once a year and whenever I get chance I like to go dancing. I got dressed with santa attire and brought a friend from cali.We signed up the night before to get in free. However, by the time I parked and passed 3 security checks( 3 different people; checking your bag, iDs and feeling your body) it was 11:02pm .The manager in a very cold tone of voice wanted us to pay to get in, the regular admission. We were only 2 minutes late. He preferred to lose customers who possible would spend much more than $10. This was very disappointed considering we are visiting from california

Yelp
What a party .. drinks , pool and . The ambiance with the lights dim is excellent. Definitely has to have the right promoter hosting to make it special. The service was pretty good. However, there was so miscommunication on section selection which cause a disturbance at some point. Overall I'd definitely come back.

Yelp
Hidden gem in the downtown streets of Elizabeth... come for the atmosphere, stay for the shenanigans! Once you walk in you are at the bar area. Plenty of tables and space to chill. The bar seating is plenty as is the TV's. They had the UFC when I went on a Saturday night. The next room is the club. This club has its own bar, high-top tables, and lounge seating. All are built in the service where you can buy bottles, food and hookah. Oh, and how can I forget the pool in the middle of the club. Bring your bathing suit if you dare! There was a cover charge for guys ($20), ladies free... but not sure if it's all night. The prices aren't too high for bottle service. All in all, it was a fun time had by all. FYI: Parking is street parking so be careful where you choose to park.

Yelp
"The Singles Bar Life" Barcode might advertise themselves as a "Bar" or "Lounge" or "Nightclub". The hard reality is that this is a bar for single people that want to mingle. Meaning that this isn't the type of bar that you want to have your birthday party at, or the place where you and friends want to go out for dinner and eat, or even the type of bar where you can hang out with your friends. There should only be one reason that you would ever want to go to Barcode and that is if you are single and ready to mingle. Because if you do, then you are going to have an awesome time, because the fact is that this isn't a restaurant like an Applebee's or your typical "restaurant and bar" place, meaning that you aren't compelled to buy food. I mean why would you, don't buy food, just order drinks and start mingling with the single people at the bar. If you are thinking that Barcode might be a good place to hang with your friends, I got a better suggestion "Dave and Busters" at least you won't have to pay money to get in and you and your friends will have a lot more fun than at Barcode. Barcode the bar made for the singles life, in reality it's "Barcode the singles bar". The type of men and women that go to this bar looking for something casual are bilingual people English/Spanish who are between ages 21-35 who have college level education maybe a small portion are college graduates. Older Spanish people be warned as you will not be successful. Trust me, I know I am describing this place as not a good place but if you are looking to mingle, you will have a great time. Also be warned, some of the women that go to the barcode are regulars meanly if you are a regular at the barcode YOU WILL SEE THE SAME WOMEN! Keep this in mind if you are looking for something casual at the Barcode. I hope you enjoyed my review, remember to drink responsibly and have fun.

Yelp
PROS: This place was the best club I've ever been to! The place had a stage, a few DJ booths, strobe lights, confetti, multiple bars, A LOT of space to hold many people, hookah, etc. They had plenty of staff so you weren't waiting around. The drinks were affordable and they even served food during the clubbing hours. CONS: Despite being in a bad area, there was only street parking rather than a parking lot. The bathroom only had one stall. OVERALL: This place is a Spanish oriented club that I will be going back to. Other places are either too small to handle the crowd they get, or it doesn't give me major city type clubbing experience. However, if you're gonna go down to that area, just make sure you watch your back

Yelp
I had a really good time here! The bartenders were nice! Drinks were a bit expensive for my preference but at least I had a great time. The DJ was playing great music, and we even had a little throw back moment with some old songs I forgot existed but just made for a great time. I would definitely come here again, and probably with a bigger group. I only went with three friends. I would recommend this place for a fun night out if you have like $150-$200 to spend at minimum.

Javier R.

Yelp
This place is absolutely terrible. $20 cover for guys, $10 for girls. They take your vape if you have one at the door; at least it's a check: you're supposed to be able to get it at the end of the night. This is to sell their hookahs which are $30 each. Drinks are very expensive: $7 for beers and $15 for mixed drinks. Expect minimum $160 for bottles, but most are about $300 or more. Tables are $750, so don't expect to sit anywhere. Music is so loud that you can't hear unless you shout into someone's ear. I enjoy nightlife, but this Must be the biggest scam around.

Yelp
Visiting from California and on a Sunday night was looking for a dance spot with hip-hop. Someone recommended Barcode. It was a cool vibe, great music, and overall we had a nice time. Want to give a shout out to Shakeera who was incredibly professional and helpful. Thanks, Shakeera!

Yelp
After hearing the hype over the years about Barcode I finally decided to check it on a saturday night. Immediately entering the establishment I understood why this place has all the bad reviews. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but throughout the night the service just kept getting worse ! This place is huge and theres only one bar on the main floor. There were only 2 bartenders on a saturday night. The place wasnt packed but there were enough people for it to be a LONG wait to get a drink at the bar. The drinks were expensive and watered down. But that was the least of my frustration .. it was really the hookah SCAM. $30 for a hookah & there arent any flavors to choose from .. just a regular cheap small hookah .. ok. Whatever. HOWEVER, REFILLS ARE ANOTHER $30 ??? No, im not talking about them refilling the whole hookah (coals and shisha), ONLY CHANGING THE COALS !!! What ?!! Our hookah was disgusting and also broken (hose was cracked) and wasnt pulling right, I brought this to the attention of one of the many hookeros/as walking around and he pulled on the hookah and just because he got a little smoke to come out he said "it works" and walked away. I also kept wondering why the hookahs were going out every 20 min and its because they were only putting ONE COAL IN THEM. So people are paying $30 for them to throw you a measily .25 cent coal to keep your crappy ass hookah running for the next 20 min ??? This should be a CRIME ! One employee came up to me and asked my friend and I to move away from the table we were sitting at supposedly because "a group of guys who bought bottles wanted to sit at a table" and we were singled out to move even though there were other tables open. How rude. I then passed by the table that we were moved from 15 min later and it was 2 girls sitting there with a hookah .. no bottles or anything .. I really didnt understand what was going on. The bathrooms were outdoor glorified port-a-potties. The DJ was horrible. The staff were all rude from the lady checking ID's all the way to the employees inside. Just bad customer service across the board. How are you rude to the people who are funding your JOB. No customers=No job .. im guessing thats a hard concept to grasp for these people. The only thing that I can say nice about this place is that the pool was a cute addition to the scene, and whatever other small decor they had going on. Thats it. There was also supposed to be a guest appearance that night and that person never showed. I dont know how people are even willing pay to get into this establishment. Maybe it was an off night, but judging by the other reviews they must have many off nights. Will not be returning.

Yelp
Big black security guy with medium length dreads and a neon yellow shirt (tall and built/chubby), called me a little bitch as I was leaving. I went to get my two hidden vapes by the entrance door corner and he yanked one away from my hands because he accused me I was stealing one. They were both mine and they were the same flavor and together, he wouldn't let them go until they brought Gabby, a sweet Spanish security lady told me she will keep them safe when I leave, he didn't believe me and was SCREAMING in front of a lot of people. And this guy yelled at me out loud and called me BITCH. So disrespectful, especially from a grown man. I am very disappointed and I hope no other female encounters him. It was very scary. I'm from Manhattan and I will never return here again. So rude, one experience can change your whole view on a venue, it's sad.

Yelp
I went 3 times here, and every time is worse than the last time, they had Ace and the big area with the pool closed trying to fit everybody in a small space for a DJ! It was overcrowded at a point that you could barely moved, you had the hookah service, security and other staff passing every 2 minutes pushing everyone around, drink are overpriced, then you had the "reserved" tables for people that never showed up and it was taking more space making it even worse! Dj was really bad looks like he was trying to keep it PG-13 or something, and the only reason I stayed at least 1 hour it was due to the $20 cover fee.

Yelp
STAY CLEAR OF BARCODE! Where to begin... *** Venue Layout & Space *** If you like to actually see the DJ perform, this is not the place for you. It's hard to tell from pictures of the venue, but the DJ plays above the pool area, however, the majority of the seating and tables are further inside and around the corner, so you will likely be sat where you can't even see the DJ! The whole layout just doesn't make sense and all you can do is imagine how much fun the people around the corner are having. *** Staff & Security *** Getting into this venue feels like getting into a government building. First off, security is all over the place - some people were told to take their shoes AND socks off, some people received a gentle pat. Everyone was required to take off their mask and get their PICTURE taken at the door. Once inside you are funneled into a line where they hold your ID for the night and LOCK YOUR PHONE in a little pouch that they give to you and can only have unlocked at the end of the night. What about those of us with dogs or kids being watched who may have an emergency?? Too bad. You're also left not knowing what time it is, which is bad enough on its own and even worse when the staff use that to take advantage of patrons as the night wraps up without them knowing. *** UPSELL UPSELL UPSELL *** Man, talk about a venue that just wants to get you trashed and take advantage of you. You are constantly barraged with staff asking if you want a hooka and they are always coming around trying to get you to buy more drinks. I can totally understand this to an extent, BUT NOT WHEN YOU ORDER 8 WATERS AND THEY COST $70!!!! This is not a joke. Towards the end of the night we ordered waters for everyone at our table and it was $70 for 8!!! How is this even legal?? There was 30 minutes to close and our friend was in the bathroom and she heard the staff in the bathroom yelling "alright everyone UPSELL UPSELL UPSELL" - and note, nobody knows what time it is, so they're getting these people drunk right before they have to leave! The staff are literally squeezing every last penny they can out of the patrons. My friends and I WILL NOT be returning to this venue and we encourage all potential guests to stay away. It's such a shame that such great artists can play in such awful places.

Yelp
I wish I could leave 0 stars.... This review was actually encouraged by the manager at Barcode. He literally said "go ahead and write a bad review about us." I won't write a bad review, everyone below me has already shown many examples of how terrible this place is. Instead, I'll write to the owners of Barcode : First of, hi! I think you have a great space and there's so much potential. However you should realllyyyyyyy look for a new management team. Don't get me wrong, the rest of your staff were not great either but that's a huge reflection of your management. Hospitality was bad. Service was bad. Management was bad. No social distancing and people didn't wear masks. (until the police showed up and all of security ran around the venue asking everyone to put on their masks and to sit down ) Also they make you put your phones in these little pouches so you can't take pictures or videos and they tell you they will rip up your ID if you break the pouch to use your phone. ‍ I was hoping to like Barcode too.

Yelp
The service here was terrible. They refused to let my friend in and claimed her ID was fake. She's 26! Why in the world would she use a fake ID? The did not take any responsibility when they damaged my friend's car. (She used Barcode's valet service) DO NOT use their valet service! This is not the first time I heard horror stories of damaged vehicles. They were also RACIST and did not let 2 of my black friends in and claimed they were "not part of our group" I would not recommend this place. All my friends and I agreed we will not be coming back.

Yelp
Where can I start I have a lot to say !!! Started off as a small group a Sunday birthday brunch (in October)to end as a large group night outing with DJ clue !! We were seated not at our table of choice -- place was not full but it wasn't empty the tall tables were occupied. Bartender was attentive all over the men with their wife's on my table. Offered shots to charge them on the bill -- made it seem like they were free bday shots but charged at end. Food was cold -- seemed precooked and re heated. From the begging we stated we were going to stay past the brunch since we commuted from the city to Elizabeth, NJ! We consumed a good bill for 6 people to start--- bartender tried it by charging extra beer bucket immediately noticed -- (colombianita) although most are. Not going to post her name but will disclose once I get a reply from owner. She got a great tip included and cash at the end of night whereas she had promised a table for night session next to pool. Once we closed bill she claimed it was requiered in order to get us to a area by pool-- went to bathroom came back-- she disappeared. Never saw her again-- Then Claimed the area we wanted to sit was reserved !!! They threw us to the back assigned another waitress that could not find a table to sit us on. They continue to claim we had consume bottles to sit in the part of the pool facing the front taller tables by the trees that light up (pic below)-- at that point we had given up to sit by the pool. No tables we saw open they claimed were NOT available they claimed we had to consume over 2,000Gs to sit there. At that point our guests were disturbed and started leaving we had 6 additional people that were on their way -- absolutely told them to not even bother due to the disturbances !!! We stood to enjoy hubbies bday from 12 guests stood with 3. Asked for a bottled service of casamigos -- none in stock only reposado. Absolutely not did not order what they wanted had to settle for Patron. Wonder why the did not have regular casamigos ! ? Big difference in price--more expensive!! New assigned bartender added 3 extra red bull claimed couldn't take em back and we had to pay for them lol. Money wasn't an issue the service was.!! We consumed a lot from start to finish-- dropped over 1 k grand that night . Moreover, area we were assigned (lol) Was cold, we request heater to be moved closer , they did they couldn't move. It gets better.... they sat us in the back by the no dancing sign (see pic below) turns out Johnny marines had a table reserved and walks in --- my gosh how everyone changed!!!! We tried again and requested the heater and all of a sudden it was able to get moved ! The bartenders became friendly and attentive after we were thrown to the back and forgotten. People in the front drinking beers had a better tables than we did -- people buying single drinks and consuming less sat in Better tables with better view. I will never ever go back to this place again experience was terrible!! My husband a well known dj will use his social media influence to voice out his experience with the people working in this place and bad service in general. I will never leave uptown again for jersey. We left earlier then we wanted. Ooh and after they claimed they had to vacate and reopen at 7 -- never did people arrived at 6:45p ordered food and stood in the Same table meanwhile we had to move --- I took pics and videos of how the tables they claimed were reserved which never where-- it's a wack strategy to make ppl blow money, close tabs get their tip and f- u , sounds accurate. Horrendous ! Hope this review becomes helpful! If they did us dirty but Clearly told the manager and waitresses that the review was coming to Yelp and Google. (They didn't care ) I bet they will continue to do it to others.

Yelp
"Worst experience I've ever had in my life!" First off the prices are always different, even if it's the same day I got 2 different prices for the same bottle and drinks. I don't know what it is but they need to start checking the people going in because most are rowdy and don't know how to act! There's more that I could write that's worse but I'll leave it at that. Never again will I go to this place. I wouldn't be surprised if they're forced to close because of a brawl or a shooting. It's only a matter of time!

Yelp
Used to go here before covid and would have a great time. Came here tonight and ordered 2 drinks Then was harassed into getting hookah So I got it bc he was bugging. When he brought it to us he sucked it for a while and just stood there as we watched him I asked my server a few questions on the drink menu and she did not know the answers When I received my drink I was enforced that I MUST order food with a drink. To my surprise this was not told to me at all not at the entrance, while ordering the drinks, nor is it stated on their website. She then told us they're cheapest food item was $10+ Wtf Then she forgot our damm receipt At least they're drinks are strong

Yelp
Went there for my friend's birthday after some hesitation about going. Upon arrival was searched (no one else in my party was searched, was also the only POC). Attended the day party, at 8 they shut off the music kicked all the POC out and told them if they wanted to re enter for the next event they had to pay again. The tickets for the first event for $50. AND everything is overpriced. So it's a NO from me, won't get another black dollar from me. ALSO, after my friend tagged them in a post (typical positive partying post) and they untagged themsellves....

Camilla P.

Yelp
Terrible service. Bartender insisted on a tip for tap water before handing us the water after we spent hundreds of dollars on drinks. Don't come here and spend your money, honestly a waste of time. The DJ wasn't even that good.

Emanuel L.

Yelp
I would advise anyone that wants to have a good time to avoid this place at all cost. This is not a nightclub or a lounge, it's a building filled with tables with no dance floor or sense of organization. Cash only single bar with extremely slow service. Uneven heating and cooling thought the building with old rundown walls and seating areas. Bartenders in the smaller area at the back of the club are much more reasonable. However, the overuse of CO2 in the main building creates enough back pressure to push all the smell of trash and mildew into the building. The place is a social engineering nightmare. Avoid at all cost.

Yelp
Had a GREAT time here over the weekend. My co-workers and I decided to come here just to hang out and have a good time. Normally there is no parking here on a Saturday night, however I was able to come here somewhat early and get parking right across the street. The atmosphere was great! The DJ played a combination of Spanish music along with Hip-Hop and R&B! The drinks were well made, the bartenders and staff were very friendly, I didn't really have any complaints! The only disadvantage was that the line for the woman's bathroom was extremely long however, once inside, the bathroom was very clean for the place to be crowded and the woman inside the bathroom was very nice and accommodating. Additionally, there is an outside that offers a much larger venue for space. Since there was a fight on this weekend, if you wanted to sit down you had to purchase a bottle; bottle service started at $250 which was standard for a night club. Overall, I had a GREAT TIME and definitely see myself coming back!

Yelp
I came here to celebrate my cousins birthday not too long ago & i was in pure awe at the customer service , i drove 1 hour to this poorly managed establishment to only be denied entry at the door bc i greeted my friend who was the birthday girl in a hyped manner , a young female security guard just looked at me and said nope shes drunk u cant come in . Keep in mind i had just drove an hour to this place and got denied bc i greeted my friend with excitement .. after 15 minutes of pure embarrassment i convinced them i hadn't even had a single sip of alcohol and was just excited to see my friend who was also the bday girl.. they made me super uncomfortable for being excited my whole mood was ruined after that ... this place is not worth it spend your money somewhere thats better managed, kinder, and more established.. they had 17 year old petty girls as security.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here to see our friend who is a famous house DJ spin on July 3rd. It was clear from the second we walked in that most of the staff HATED the patrons. A girl who was checking tickets at the door around 6pm literally screamed in agony for having to do her job (yes screamed like a two year old twice). If they hate this crowd so much why did they book it and why does she work there??? We were treated pretty poorly once the event ended at 9pm and the same ticket girl charged us an additional 20 dollars for us just sticking around for an extra hour to finish our drinks. Apparently the club becomes a Latin music club after 9pm and instead of encouraging us to stay as patrons they all but pushed us out the door. Awesome way to treat patrons and talent. Will encourage booking a different club next time.

Yelp
Got Covid while there, place is overrated nothing special. They try to rip you off anyway they can

Yelp
So since my last review in 2017 i've been to Barcode many of times, even celebrated my birthday in January here! Since then, they've opened up a patio area and a pool so this spot is way bigger than before. Drinks are the usual price, music is great, love that they throw out props on the dance floor such as balloons, glow sticks, etc. So glad Barcode has expanded, keep up the good work!

Jake S.

Yelp
Bruh! The worst experience ever. This club was once on top in Jersey. Now, they are struggling and you can tell. Their parties have moved indoors to the smaller room for bigger names DJs. Probably because mad people don't go like before so they can't fill the bigger room. The prices are outrageous for mediocre food. The chefs gotta go or they need to really fix that disgusting menu of theirs. Servers do not know English and when you ask them for something they bring the total opposite. And when you ask for something to be changed the response to me was "the liquor system is automatic and we cannot correct the mistake" huhhhhh? Called the manager over and again ... no English spoken so it was useless to try to get the message across. Do not pay the cover, do not pay the $40 hookah price, and do not waste your time. Go elsewhere!

Yelp
This was my first time at this bar/club and it will most likely be my last. Unfortunately, we chose to go the night of their grand opening for their pool. First off, waiting in the line to get in was absolutely dreadful because there was no fans or AC. One of the security guards assured us that it would be much cooler inside. Once inside, it was so stuffy I couldn't breathe. The issue wasn't the people around, the issue was that they had no wall or door of any type separating the pool area... so the club was open to the outdoor the entire time. The humidity was really bad in the first room. They had another room downstairs where it was a little cooler but still unbearable after about half an hour. Another issue we had was with the bar downstairs. There was only 2 bartenders tending to everyone around the bar on a busy Saturday night. There was no rotation either; it was like they were focusing their attention on one area of the bar. So someone could be waiting in an unlucky spot for 30 mins, while someone who just walked up on the other side could quickly be serviced. Anyways.. spent the first 30 minutes waiting for a drink and the next 30 sweating profusely. They played mostly Latin music. Wish there was a mix of genres. To sum it all up, left in the first hour I would say.

Yelp
Let me just start off by saying if I could give this place a negative 5 stars I would. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service. They DO NOT know what customer service is. Staff is extremely rude and have bad attitudes. Unacceptable when you're going to a place to enjoy and spend YOUR money and they act like people come here for free. Owner has to review his staff and tell them this is not the way you treat paying customers. Also took an hour to sit us. They sat multiple parties before and just kept telling us that they were "cleaning" the tables for us. When we were finally sat they threw us to the dungeon all the way towards the back and kept telling us all the other tables were reserved. But when I called to make reservations they told me they did not offer reservations. Something has to be done about this. Really horrible service. Yelp
Think twice before you leave your baby car to their valet parking. Went there for 2019 new year party, this is the gift they gave me.

Yelp
I just wanted somewhere to go where I can grab a bite and a drink. I ordered the Jack Daniels fishbowl ($20) and it was sugary and it lacked any JD in this beverage. I stuck to appetizers so I got the chicken fingers and fries and loaded fries. The chicken fingers did not come with any dipping sauce and the fries were so bland. The loaded fries seems as if the took frozen fries from a bag, dumped nacho cheese and fake bacon and placed it in the microwave. If you attempted to take just 1 fry, the whole stack of fries will move! There were blots of sour cream on the mountain of gross. Since it was a Monday I thought the servers would be more attentive because it was practically empty, but she took an excessive amount of time to take our order and deliver the drinks. The bathrooms where neat and clean

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. This place literally catfished us. We got there around 9:30 PM. The bouncer and ID checker at the front door accuse me of having a fake ID. He said he was keeping it. (Mind you I'm 26). Thankfully I had my passport with me as a backup because I had a feeling it was going to be an issue. He said my passport was real but ID was still fake. (Why would I bring a passport backup for a fake ID) whatever. Got my ID back and paid the ridiculous $20 per person cover thinking the a**holes at the door was just a speed bump. We walk into a massive club with tables everywhere. What happened to the massive dance floor that's advertised online? We keep rolling with the punches and go to the bar. There's only one in the main room mind you. I order 2 drinks for me and my friend. The one is literally 3/4 full. When we ask if he can actually give us a full drink he says "here I'll just put it in a smaller cup". The bill.. I sh*t you not was $38 for 2 drinks at this shi**y establishment. Would have been better off going to manhattan. Overall, this place is the worst club I've been to and I'd suggest to anyone to literally go to an Applebees before stepping foot in here for a fun night out.

Yelp
Came here to watch a football game due to their large TV (it was made up of 8 smaller screens). 3 of those screens did not work, so I could not watch the game. I tried to go to another TV but that did not work either. Secondly I asked the bartender what she had on draft, she listed the beers, and I asked for a Stella which she than brought out in a can. I had said draft so I was confused. I asked her what the situation was, but she didn't answer or understand (not sure which). Probably won't go here again.

Yelp
Went here last weekend for my birthday with friends. The line wasn't long, gave a $20 cover which isn't too bad. They did a pat down and ID scan and then gave us wristbands. Place is huge inside. Multiple rooms with tvs and bars, several hookah lounges, a pool, dance floor and tables. Drinks were good, friendly bartenders too. Pricing kinda expensive but it's what you get out here. But I'd definitely come back

Yelp
Decided to go to Barcode on a Friday night, 10/4/19 to have some drinks and a bite to eat. Now, I haven't been to Barcode in about a year or two and the experience definitely was not the same. The drinks and food were still pretty good, we ordered 2 bulldogs, a mango margarita, coconut shrimp, crab cakes and mini cheeseburger sliders- all were tasty and just right. The service however was HORRIBLEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! After being seated at the bar it took us about 15 mins to even be acknowledged and receive a menu. We then had to literally wave our hand and shout to get the bartenders attention so that we could place our order. There were two female bartenders at opposite sides of the bar and unfortunately the one where we were seated was ridiculously inattentive, she was on her phone and just seemed so unenthusiastic. The only reason I'd return back to barcode is for the food, drinks and atmosphere/music. If I based it on the customer service, I would never go back there!!!!!

Yelp
So I used to go to Barcode to watch football games and enjoyed the atmosphere. They have the best red sangria (buy it in the glass though). I think that's stronger. I just visited the club or the patio yesterday for my birthday. After reading the reviews I was discouraged. Here's some tips about going there: 1. Get there early so you won't have to wait in line. I got there around 10:45 and it got full fast. 2. Get friends together and get a table if you are wearing heels. The minimum is 250 for the table. Our costs came up to 192 and we added a tip. Check the receipt because I'm sure they added a tip. It was my birthday so I was tipsy and forgot to tell them to get an itemized bill. Anyway, for 6 people 200 is about normal. 3. This place has great lighting so take many pics! So when I came in I was carrying sandals. Security said no sandals. I turned to wait for my friend to come so I could put them in her car. Another security guard let me leave them up front so I could go right in. I really appreciated that small act of kindness because it made me feel special and I was having an emotional day. Check the dress code before because my female cousin was wearing sneakers and almost didn't get let in. Anyway the DJ was live and the music was good: primarily Latin, but when they threw the hip hop in I got my whole life. The Latin was nice though. Crowd was young. I left early (1:45) so I'm not sure if it got too crazy, but I had a great time!

Yelp
Told me to take my hat off at the door...while someone walked by me with a winter hat on. Probably just discrimination. I took my hat off to put in my coat pocket and still refused to let me in. Asked if I could leave it at coat check and still wouldn't allow me to. He was an asshole pretty much but this isn't my first bad encounter with Barcode upon entrance literally so I should've expected it. 3rd time is not a charm so I would never go back here, don't recommend anyone else either- if you want to be treated right.

Yelp
BarCode is not an enjoyable place to visit unless u are Spanish and do not care about what you drink. Their bartenders lake any training and the drink i order was not prepared properly as 2 different bartenders made it wrong and as a result i was sick afterwards. Not drunk just sick. My tastebuds were thrown off. Do better!!!

Yelp
Been here a couple times and can say his is my favorite lounge in NJ. Went to see the football game and to celebrate my cousin's bday. We sat in the back which has a very nice open/covered patio, with a huge screen. We did reservations for a big group and were seated in the cabanas. They remodel the back since the last time I came. I love chandeliers so I definitely love the look. The service is prompt and friendly-that's part of barcode eat-chill and play feel. Our waiter, Johan, was very attentive and was making sure everyone was well served. We ordered wings, fries, mini sliders, pizza pies and drinks. The food and service was great and I loved the pizza pies. The Pizzeria-Crust pizza-is part of barcode so obviously the pizza it top notch (freshly baked out of the oven). Some of the people in our group are vegan so they definitely accommodated them with their needs. Everything is worth it here-the people, drinks, food, music and atmosphere. If you want to eat-chill and play this is definitely the place to do it.

Yelp
The environment was cool. Went mid week for drinks. The bartender was really nice and made good drinks. The DJ was kind of wack but it was early so I'll give him some grace. The wings were trash I would never order that again. But all in all it was a chill spot.

Yelp
i actually like it here! solardo was incredible in every single way. the LED cherry blossom trees were so cool. everyone was pretty socially distant and mostly everyone kept their mask on the whole time. it was good vibes! of course you're occupying a table so you have to buy drinks and at least one food item but we were able to get it to go and we just ate it on the way home. our bill was $56 for an order of wings, three vodka crans and one jack and coke. not bad!

Yelp
Terrible service. We had a reservation but when we got there, we were told no reservations. They wouldn't seat us until the whole party was there. So we went to the bar for a drink. They don't make martinis or anything that requires bitters??? It's a bar!!! Ordered drinks but bartender can't seem to ring it up, got lost with my credit card for 15 minutes. Manager comes over to tell me have to order food. Explained that we are waiting on a table. Then they agreed to seat us even though it was only half of us were there. They stick us in a corner. There was no one in the place. 7pm on a Thursday. 25 minutes to get a drink. The food was mediocre at best. The service was horrible. There were more employees than customers. Extremely disappointed

Yelp
Covid notwithstanding, this is the second time I've had a terrible experience here. They want us to "take covid into consideration" but have events and still are open to the public and cannot deliver. The service is bad, but it's not the server's fault. From waiting in line to get in, all the way to weak drinks and waiting 40 minutes for food, this place is less than ideal if you just want to chill and have a good time. I do not expect to be back.

Yelp
Screw this place! I flew in today from Los Angeles and I called in and asked how much for a table they said $250 minimum I said okay fine, can I pay at the door or now for reservations they said at the door. I said okay fine there is 4 of us how much for cover entry they Said $30, I said is that at the door or online they said at the door. So guess what we show up and they want $45 each at the door. I spoke to the manager and he claims the price went up. This is BS as a business you need to honor your word. They get greedy they see how many people come for holidays and halloween and they want to make more . the problem is when people call ahead and ask prices they only have cash and need to know how much to bring . I will never come here again . I flew all the way from California to enjoy my time and you start by lying to my face. I don't appreciate shady business like this . 4 people getting a table for $250 , plus more on drinks and $45 each at the door ... you should honor what you told me over the phone . It's not about the money, it's honor code as a business everyone should be on the same page and If I only pay with cash I need the exact price don't lie to me . I will never refer my California friends to this place . The Lobby didn't lie to me about prices ...The manager told me the owner is Edmond . If you read this please reach out to me . I'm not stasified with this service at all .

Yelp
Ughh not a fan. This place used to be Cocobongo's I believe. When first arriving you get scanned like TSA for a Sat night with ladies free and gentlemen $20 cover (about 9:30pm). Safety first. It's a huge interior with a pool table in the corner and bunch of high top tables. The bar is near the entrance/exit. There's a small flight of steps that take you to the back/outside. You can smoke freely anywhere in the back area. The bar is in the center and also a bar along the side towards the main stage. The center bar does not free pour the drinks, it's a machine that does the pouring. I find it iffy! Drinks are about $15 for a redbull vodka or vodka club. This place is also well staffed. They also have RV restrooms in the outside area, but you can't smoke in that area (weird). I didn't like how later in the night it got super packed like too a point the establishment had no maximum quantity rule. If a fight broke out near the main stage ain't no way a bouncer was getting there to break it up unless you plan on trampling people. It was insane. Sad to say had a anxiety attack when trying to get back inside. You're pushing up on people trying to get by and you'd thought the inside would be a little more spacious...nope forget it. When I finally found the exit..they were still letting people in. Smh. I'd never come back.

Yelp
To start with, I think a $20 cover charge for guys is pretty ridiculous though, I've been to packed places in the city and Hoboken, and not been charged $20. That, and the fact that there's a semi strict dress code, not cool. But anyway, me and my friends came for a birthday on Friday night around 10. They charge you $10 for 'valet,' even if you park the car yourself... On the street. The place was not packed when we got in, so we just went and grabbed a table. For drinks, me and one friend started with a couple vodka redbulls, about $10 per drink and they weren't bad, or too small, so I was cool with it. The bartenders were also very friendly and reasonably attentive - I didn't have to wait very long any time I went to get a drink. I also need to point out that the bouncers were not complete dicks, they were kinda friendly actually. Because, I get it, bouncers need to be tough and they have a job that can sometimes be pretty stressful when dealing with a bunch of drunk assholes. But it's nice when they can still treat people respectfully. The decor in the place is nice, black chairs and tables, they keep the lights dim, and you feel like you're in a nice club. They play a lot of Latino songs, which was great for us because that's what we were looking for, there was also some hip hop thrown in, which was nice too. Before not too long though, we were told we had to move from the table we'd been at a while, or pay for bottle service. There was no reservation sign on the table, and we'd been there a while, ordering drinks. Regardless, I don't think it's a right practice to tell people who have been there for some time (especially when the place is not full) that they have to pay for bottle service, or get off the table. Thankfully, there was another open table, and in fact in a better spot, that we moved to and stayed at for the duration of our time there (until about 2:30/3 AM). At the other table, we all continued dancing, ordering drinks and having a good time. At some point though, I ordered a hookah ($26). Now the hookah came pretty quickly, and the flavor was good, it pulled nicely, but it was a small hookah and didn't last very long. When I went to ask how much a refill for the hookah was, guess what I was told? $26. There are hookah lounges that give you full sized hookahs that do not charge that much for the first one, let alone a refill. So while hookah is great, I personally don't think it's worth it here. Now, if you're coming here, especially if you're a guy, you're looking at a pretty pricey night. Personally, I think their hookah price should be lowered, at least for the refills, and they shouldn't charge people to park on the street, a practice I'm not entirely sure is even legal. But, regardless, me and my friends really like the music and despite also being kicked off our original table, we had a great time dancing, and drinking and smoking our overpriced hookah. I would come back here. Tl;dr: Great music, friendly staff, nice party atmosphere, standard priced, good drinks, but overpriced hookah, valet and cover charge. Would come back though.
