Bardele

We had and amazing evening at Bardele. We took their menu and it was truly delicious and balanced really well: the amount of different dishes, their complexity, portions sizes. Every single dish was interesting and unusual, some ones were really mind blowing like citrus salad with onions, olives and pistachios. Atmosphere and service were also outstanding.

This place is just what an Italian restaurant should be like! Everything made in house with love and no fuzz! You get what you and I always miss in basically every other Italian restaurant in Berlin: simple, amazing pasta, antipasti and secondi! We should recognize and support that and also pay for it!!!! That was VERY good! We didn’t even expect every dish to be this delicious. We would also like to mention the very beautiful interior and the professional staff :)

Really enjoyed the pasta dish and the cocktails. The breaded and fried buffela mozzarella sadly was a bit of a miss because the breading didn‘t stick to the mozzarella. The interior design is very nice too.

Amazing food and service with beautiful interior. Homemade pastas were all delicious and the salad was so yummy. Great wine list too. Will be back!

We were really looking forward to this restaurant visit for a long time, but unfortunately it turned out to be the most disappointing fine-dining experience we’ve had so far. When ordering, my partner and I mentioned which dishes appealed to us most, but then trusted the waiter’s recommendation to take the menu for two. However, the menu didn’t include any of the classics/signature dishes—for example, dessert was polenta instead of tiramisu. It made us feel like we were being served whatever otherwise wouldn’t sell. Since my girlfriend eats meat but I don’t, we also asked to mix vegetarian and meat dishes. Despite being told in advance that this wouldn’t be a problem, that didn’t happen. We pointed it out immediately, and the response was an apology to her “with the last sip from a bottle of wine”… even though neither of us had ordered alcohol (because we don’t drink). In the end, it felt like we’d been talked into an expensive “leftovers” meal. Overall, the service felt rather curt, so we didn’t really feel welcome. The ending was unpleasant as well: we waited about an hour for the bill because the card reader wasn’t working that evening. When a young couple loves good food and treats themselves to a restaurant like this for their anniversary, I find an experience like this especially disappointing.

A lot better than average Italian Restaurant in Berlin. I liked the interior—cute and nice with white tablecloths. As for the dishes, I would not recommend the artichoke, I didn’t fully understand it. The fish was okay, and the celery, as a side, was bitter. My pasta was cooked perfectly al dente—I really liked it! The ricotta was great as well. The tiramisu was different but still good. We’ve got 3 pieces of bread and were not asked if we want more, small point but still counts into my evaluation. I would love to give 5 stars, but I can’t due to a couple of flavors and small dishes that weren’t outstanding. However, I still recommend this place. Let’s see—maybe after my next visit, I’ll change it to a 5, depends on the dishes 😉

I was looking forward to have dinner at Bardele and wasn’t disappointed! Great atmosphere, delicious food (I would love to have more choice with starters though), good selection of wine. Our waiter was very friendly and chill, which made all experience even better. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a cool romantic italian dinner in Mitte💖
