BarDough was a fantastic first-time experience. The pizza was excellent — great flavor, perfectly crisp crust, and really fresh toppings. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a friendly vibe that made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. The staff were just as great — super nice and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, an awesome spot for pizza and a place I’d definitely come back to.

We couldn’t decide where to eat but then found BarDough, and we are so glad we did! It was decorated for spooky season which we absolutely loved! We started with five garlic knots on happy hour ($1 per) which were so good! I ordered a pepperoni pizza and loved it. My wife ordered the penne alla vodka with grilled chicken which was delicious! Great food and fantastic service with a playlist that was vibes. I highly recommend paying them a visit!

Update: October 2025 I went back and the pizza was just as good. This time I had a garden Grove pizza and my friend had the truffle pie. They're pizza here is incredible!!! I went before seeing Operation Mincemeat on Broadway. I met up with my friend and we sat at the bar. I was too late, but I recommend their happy hour for $1 garlic knots and cheap drinks. The interior is more high end than I expected. Our bartender was new, but you'd never know. She was super sweet and helpful. We got the garlic knots to start and I can't shutup about the cacio pepe dipping sauce. Our pizza made in the on-site brick oven was incredible. Crunchy crust, herby pesto, stretchy cheese, and tangy sauce. The downstairs bathroom was adorably wholesome covered in cute stickers. It looked like a clean dive bar bathroom in a kid's TV show. I found my new spot before shows. I need to come back!! 😀

We were so lucky to find this incredible restaurant in an unassuming location in restaurant row. We have three family members with dietary restrictions, and they were able to easily and knowledgeably accommodate both gluten and dairy allergies. The pizza was incredible, and the happy hour deals were great. I really enjoyed the sauce and the inferno pizza with dairy-free cheese. My partner loved a gluten-free version of the ricotta sauce pizza, and my kids both enjoyed a margherita pizza (one gluten-free, one regular crust). The 12-in pizza was much larger than expected, I should have taken leftovers but it was too delicious to stop. Highly recommend, if we lived in the city, we would be here often. Very reasonable price for the high level of quality, service, and really well crafted atmosphere.

Super recommended pizza spot! First of all, the overall ambience and vibe of the place are super nice. The pizzas are big, and most important: they are DELICIOUS! Service was very attentive and friendly. A must visit spot!

Everything about this restaurant was exceptional!! Personally I am not a pizza lover however, if every Pizza tasted like this I would be converted !! The pizza was so tasty !! The service was so friendly and welcoming. It was our first night in NYC and we were a little bit nervous but as soon as we walked in we felt at home ! The added bonus was the Christmas decor was beautiful ! Really was a 10/10 !!

The service was phenomenal from start to finish, very quick amd super helpful. The food was amazing, we ordered the Mozzarella Garlic Bread and Supreme Pizza, and they came out quickly, hot, and delicious. This is some of the best pizza I have had anywhere, if not the best pizza I've had. The Bar is a cozy, hole-in-the-wall type place that doesnt feel crowded or overly loud. Highly recommend coming here for the delicious food and great service!

I have been to New York sporadically since I was a teenager. But I can only count once where I actually had pizza while staying in the city -- and that time was ok but nothing to write home about. Bardough is definitely worth writing as their pizza is tops. Located on 46th Street in Restaurant Row that straddles Hell's Kitchen, encompasses the Theater District, and not far from Times Square, Bardough offers terrific pizza both 12 and 16 inch as well as gluten free 10 inch in cozy, brick-walled bar and dining room in addition to pasta dishes that can also be made gluten free on request with its gluten-free penne. We arrived there when it was still happy hour so I enjoyed a $10 Negroni that was quite splendid and made me feel like Stanley Tucci (since he likes making them) -- only with hair on my head. Their Aperol spritz was also very refreshing and delightful. Pizza-wise, we ordered for my wife the Tuscan Treasure gluten free and it was wonderful. Made with ricotta cream sauce, prosciutto, arugula, and some lemon rind marmalade. I still can enjoy gluten so I also ordered their regular 12 inch Supreme that came with sausage, meatballs, pepperoni, and garlic with a zesty marinara and drizzled with hot honey. The pizza allowed us to live our best lives. The vibes were very relaxed and local charm. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel at ease as we enjoyed a high top across from the bar. It's a great spot if you are staying in the area, going to a play, or want to check out a great pizza spot with cocktails on Restaurant Row.

Was walking down the street and saw the amazing happy hour menu...$10 drinks and $1 garlic knots. Walked in a few minutes before opening and Emma (bartender) greeted me. She made the most amazing Negroni and was very friendly and kind. The garlic knots were the best I've ever had...loaded with garlic and butter. The sauces were amazing...the white sauce is phenomenal. Also, Adrian, who helped her, was very efficient and friendly. This is now one of my must stops when I come to New York

We were staying in the adjacent building looking for a place that would take reservations for a larger group. It was very easy. I think the challenging reservations is a Portland thing. But we wanted to be prepared. Happy hour garlic knots were pretty yummy. I like a good knot and a good value. Hits the mark Pizza was very delicious. I can't put my finger on what the crust was missing. It was good but lacked something that I've had in a good thin crust. They were pretty easy to mow down and I didn't want leftovers without my air fryer Surprisingly my favorite was the one with the vodka sauce and peas. The others were good but I just thought the vodka sauce was better. Drinks were tasty and well balanced. Very friendly and helpful service. It was a nice welcome to New York for us. Good work. Checked all our boxes.

BarDough was beyond delicious! A friend and I came here to warm up and enjoy some good food and it did not disappoint. Grace B. was AMAZING and took such good care of us!! We shared the garlic knots (which came with 3 different dipping sauces, so good), a Greek Salad and a Margarita Pizza. Everything was so hot and tasty and filling. They also had some fun holiday decorations up and the atmosphere was made that much cozier!

I've been here for drinks a few times and the cocktails are always great! The garlic knots and whipped ricotta delicious, a must! The bartending staff is awesome - shoutout to Anders and Payton! Happy hour till 6pm. The pizzas looked so good as they went past, so must come back to finally eat something.

My daughter and I went to Bar Dough last night before a show and it was so good! We had garlic knots, which comes with 3 different dipping sauces, the whipped ricotta with hot honey and the bacon chicken ranch pizza. All delicious! Then because we felt we needed a few more carbs, we had dessert, Nutella knots, they were amazing! On top of all of that, the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was very charming! Definitely recommend.

Visited on a Friday night and this place was popping. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered: Margarita (5/5) - as PERFECT as you can get it. The right balance of alcohol and citrus. Garlic knots (4/5) - surprisingly so flavorful. great mixture of herb seasoning. It was slightly underdone though so not as airy and fluffy. Supreme pizza (3.5/5) - very thin crust where it was more soggy than crispy. Flavorful though and I enjoyed the mikes honey that's drizzled on top which pairs nicely with the savory meats Spaghetti bolognese (2.5/5) - The sauce was flavorful with a generous amount of meat. Pasta was overdone and sauce was a bit watery. Tiramisu (2.5/5) - it was drizzled with a chocolate syrup, which I thought was a bit odd. The lady fingers were a bit too soaked in espresso. It was overall a light and nice dessert. Recommend visiting if you're in the area! The energy is lively and drinks are so good!

My first time going to Bar Dough and would definitely go back! It's a cute spot in the theatre district. The service is good, the pizza is delicious, and you have to try the ricotta cheese and black cherries appetizer. Surprisingly yummy. Their cocktails are good too. Recommend checking this spot out for sure.

I stopped by yesterday afternoon for a sorority gathering, and I'm so glad I did! To kick things off, I had the spicy margarita--it was perfection: just the right balance of heat and refreshment. For appetizers, we had wings and meatballs. The wings were crispy, and the garlic parmesan sauce was absolutely delicious. The meatballs were flavorful, though I wish they came with a bit more sauce. For entrees, we ordered a cheese pizza, a pepperoni pizza, and a specialty pizza with prosciutto. I had the pepperoni, which had a perfectly thin and crunchy crust--just all-around tasty. I'm definitely regretting not trying the specialty pizza, though. The service was fantastic--our waitress (I wish I could remember her name!) was amazing, with shoulder-length hair and such a great attitude. Parker, the owner, was also wonderful and made us feel really welcome. The space itself is charming, with lovely lights and garlands that gave the place a cozy vibe. Our bill came to about $50 each, which covered apps, pizzas, and multiple rounds of drinks--a very reasonable price for the quality. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be back. They also own the place next door, Backstage Tavern, which I'll be reviewing soon!

Oh my gosh. So good. I went on a Friday night with my roommates and we were able to walk in without a reservation. Our waiter Garrett was spectacular and very helpful with all of our questions. We got the whipped ricotta, cauliflower, vodka sauce pasta, and truffle pizza. Everything was amazing but the cauliflower stole the show. All cocktails were good as well. Loved it! Will be back!!

Back in May bestie and I scored tickets to see the Wiz on Broadway. Excited we headed into the city and lucked-up with free parking. As per our tradition after we park we wander until we randomly find a restaurant that intrigues our palates. On this particular Wednesday @ 4:30pm we stumbled into BarDough and we were happy that we did. We were promptly seated and started with some HH cocktails, garlic knots, crispy brussel sprouts w/o prosciutto and a house salad. The brussel sprouts were the right amount of crispy, sweet and savory. For our mains I went with the Chicken Penne with pesto cream and bestie chose rigatoni ala vodka. Both pasta dishes were delicious. We sat and enjoyed both the quiet of the restaurant and the excellent service from the staff. We were able to sit unbothered without being rushed, even as the dinner crowd started to trickle in. This was one of our best random picks. Just a Note: Happy Hour is from 12-7pm

Maybe we got BarDough on an off night. The yelp reviews are great, I feel misled. We ordered the mozzarella garlic bread $9 and 12 inch margarita pizza for $12 I didn't capture a picture of the mozzarella garlic bread, it was completely burnt and went straight in the trash. Should have ordered the garlic knots I guess? Who sends out burnt food.... The Margherita pizza looked good, but was ice cold and not flavorful at all. Sadly, I would have been more satisfied with a frozen pizza. Maybe it was an off night, but I would not order from BarDough again.

Felt the need to update my review after a few years. This place delivers and my wife and I have become somewhat regulars. Their pizza always comes out fresh and hot and their draft beer and cocktails are good! My favorite is the ricotta cheese with cherries. The bread served with it is incredibly buttery and delicious. Service is always good and ambiance is as well. Great local spot and hope it sticks around!

We have been here a couple times. It's conveniently located in the theater district and both times we came here before a show. On our most recent visit, my daughter and I had a couple drinks from their happy hour menu. I really liked my spicy margherita but my daughter didn't care much for her peachy drink (can't remember the name). For food, we shared a Greek Salad and a Margherita pizza. Both were prepared quickly and were tasty. The restaurant is cozy, warm and inviting. Our server was excellent, too! He was friendly and attentive, and made sure we made it to our show in time!

Very nice little restaurant right in the theater district. We were pleasantly greeted and our server was awesome! Nice selection of tap beers, wines, and a full bar. Nicely cooked pizza crust, good sauce, and a nice variety of toppings to make anyone happy! Cozy restaurant. Recommend if you're looking for a pizza that offers a sit down experience a little more quiet than some of the New York Times touristy locations.

This was a great find in Hell's Kitchen. They have bar seating, some high top tables, and a few regular level tables in the back. The garlic Parmesan wings were excellent!! The brussel sprouts were good, complemented by some bacon. I got the chicken bacon ranch pizza without cheese (gf crust). It was alright. I didn't taste the ranch, though they said it was underneath. I added mushrooms. But, the plum tomato sauce was delicious. The food didn't take long to come out, which I appreciated as I was on my lunch break. I'd go back, but would try another pizza.

DELISH! We made reservations to come here, which I highly recommend, because they filled up fast before a show. Smaller place with a long bar and the flavors summon you in. The server was so nice and was super attentive. The wings and pizza were spot on and highly recommend! Great portions, fair prices and we cannot wait to return!

Wow! Our favorite meal this trip! The Thai Chili Wings and Meatball appetizers were superb. (Chef's kiss). We'll see you next time!

What a great find. The loaded pizza with hot honey and marinara was exceptional. We also enjoyed the roasted cauliflower appetizer. I ordered a very nice organic white wine. Perfect before the theater in a casual setting.

Really wonderful service (shout to Garrett!), with a perfect location for evening theater plans. The food came out quickly, so we had no fear we would arrive late to our play. I am grateful for BarDough offering a gluten free crust! Had that with the vodka pizza topping and it was delicious!! We will definitely be back.

The pizza was very good. The topping were flavorful with a crispy crust, tangy sauce, and tasty mozzarella cheese. The BarDough Ale is very refreshing too. Emma, the young lady behind the bar, was wonderful.

Great little spot hidden on restaurant row. After a long day of travel I was warmly welcomed at the bar and had a delicious pizza! The price/value was incredible. My glass of wine cost the same as the entire pizza. From bartender to server I had an A+ experience! I know there are a million places to go, but I'd definitely go back!

Checked out this spot after watching The Sign of the Times. It was a short walk from the theatre and we were craving pizza. I bookmarked this place based on other Yelp reviews. It's got a cute chill vibe inside. We got there right before the kitchen closed and just in time to order some food. They also have a full bar with lots of yummy sounding cocktail options. I went for the Basil Baby which has Gin, St Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Basil Syrup, Lime Juice. Food-wise we had the Whipped Ricotta with Grilled Bread Sticks and Balsamic Cherries which was mouth watering. I tried the Margherita pizza and my daughter had the Pesto Pie. The pizza were made fresh to order and I loved that it had a thin crust and not greasy.

Let me start by saying I'm not a fan of thin crust. However, after being unable to order from my usual shop my wife suggested trying BarDough. I am so glad she did. I placed the order online and it was quite easy. The delivery time was stated as 31 minutes. The pie arrived in 25. The pie was delicious!!! Although it's thin crust it was just what the doctor ordered. It's slightly pricy, it came to $49 and change but it is definitely worth the price. Mouthwateringly yummy! i will order from them again!

Very thin crust so you can try many different ones! Service was great! Pizzas were yummy! It's rather small so get your reservation. Or sit at the bar.

We stepped into this restaurant not knowing that the kitchen was closing in three minutes, but the server was so courteous and sweet that he allowed us to put in a quick order. We decided on the 12" Margherita pizza to share and each got drinks. I ordered the Honey Heatwave which was STRONG but so good still! I love jalapeno in my drinks so that was great. The pizza was phenomenal. If the kitchen wasn't closed, I probably would've ordered another one but this is definitely a spot I'll be back to try the next time I'm in NYC.

Two words: Garlic knots!!! The pizzas were delicious too. We had the margarita and creamy chicken. Both delicious!

A solid spot for Italian eats right around the corner from the theaters -- we were seeing 'Wicked' and they were able to squeeze us in for an hour or so prior to the show, even without a reservation. We had to ask for the happy hour menu, and it was limited only to drinks -- I wish we were given it upfront or there were food specials. The waiters were nice and attentive, but my one knock is that the heater was SO hot and pointed directly at us the whole time. The appetizers were alright but the real star of the show was the pizza -- we got the Margherita and it was SO good. The crust was thin but it still held its shape and tasted delicious. A perfect bite before heading to the shows. I'd come back for the 'za.

Thin crust NYC pizza with a slightly upscale bar experience. Servers are attentive but not pushy. Enjoyed the happy hour wine prices and the Supreme pizza. The only improvement would be fresh arugula on top! Great bar spot for a casual meal while watching a sporting event.

We made reservations for 10pm after a show. We didn't need them that night as it wasn't busy but the bartender told us the week before it was packed. We enjoyed the service - th bartender spent time with us and was very personable. The pizza came very quickly. It was a crisp thin crust with just the right amount of sauce. The pizza was G R E A T and exactly what we needed for a bite to eat with a drink, after the show.

A group of work colleagues went here for dinner and to play trivia. We ordered Roasted Cauliflower, Chicken Wings, and Whipped Ricotta as appetizers. For dinner, we had Margherita and Pepperoni pizzas. The trivia game was entertaining. They did a good job of having trivia questions for various generations. We had fun although our team did not do very well.

Great service, super pizza and nice casual environment. Guinness poured with a shamrock design on top. You can't beat that!

Cute spot in Hells Kitchen. We had pizza, garlic knots, and spaghetti. Despite there not being a kid's menu, our waitress was accommodating and was able to order us a kid's size portion of pasta. Decently priced and the service was wonderful. I'd give it 5-stars if there were a designated kid's menu, otherwise, everything was fantastic!

New York is famous for its pizza and the thin crust pies at Bar Dough will not disappoint! Our favorite was the white truffle pizza but both the vodka and BarDough pies were excellent too. Service was very friendly and we felt well taken care of. The streetside outdoor dining patio had a fun living room pizza party vibe perfect for a small group, but it's important to know that if you're looking for a spot where you can gaze loving into your lover's eyes from across a table, this is not it.
