Bareburger

We came here after going to the big bounce USA. Although there was Village Burger right across, we did not go there due to the bad experience we had last year. The place was nearly empty as they just opened for the day. We are promptly seated and we placed our order with the server. We ordered fried pickles, supreme burger, Paul buynon burger and a hot dog for the little ones. Pickles were hit and crispy, burgers were hot and good. Service was really good. We will come back again if we are in this neighborhood.

Have only ordered takeout so far from here as opposed to dining in, and I gotta say, I have no regrets. Yes, the fancy burgers are a bit on the pricey side, and the more toppings you add, the more expensive it gets. However, the taste that you receive in return is phenomenal. The service is also fast and exceptional and I'm always greeted with a friendly face. Their fries are fresh and always served hot. Delicious meal options for everyone with many different sides and sauces.

Love that I can enjoy a burger without guilt by swapping the bun for a collard wrap or a lettuce bed! This time, I went with the lettuce bed, but it was a bit tricky to eat without being able to hold the burger. Next time, I’ll definitely try the collard wrap. I also had the sweet potato patty, and it was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!

On my birthday I treated myself to a burger. I ordered "The Rambler" and it blew my mind how amazing it was. 4th of july was happening in my tongue's flavor palette whilst I consumed it. (So many flavors) Just Amazing! Must try this place. Highly Recommended.

Went this evening for dinner . Beautiful cozy restaurant. Ambiance is good , beautiful bar and sitting area. We ordered jumbo wings with Nashville hot sauce with pickled, wings were hot and tasty. Then we ordered wagyu beef blend burger with hot sauce, beef taste so good and full of flavor. We ordered jalapeno chicken burger with wham bam sauce, it's also mouthwatering delicious. And black bean cilantro veg burger with French fries with white truffle and garlic. All the dishes were tasty. Full of flavor. I ordered pineapple jalapeno Margrita. Service was good, staff is very nice Definitely will go back.

Superb burgers right in my neighborhood that we somehow missed trying out for so many years! I went for a double patty bison with blue cheese and uncured bacon. Others at the table went with the Standard, the Ranchero, and the Grizzly. All excellent, juicy, fresh, quality bun, tasty burgers, and meticulously prepared / presented. The Belgian wheat beer helped wash it down.

Amazing…. Best burger I had when I ordered a month ago…. I really guess BareBurger when DOWNHILL. Nothing on ANY of my burgers. I asked for no tomato on ONE burger ONLY. 8 burgers and they completely slacked on all of them. They had 7 more burgers to make and didn’t think, “Hey, I guess they want plain burgers!”. I’m a guy of flavor, and extremely disappointed. Over 200$ almost spent here, and I’d rather get 8 McDonalds burgers for 30 bucks. What a disgrace. Disappointed. 0/10.

Awesome vegan menu. Loved the food and more importantly the staff was helpful since me and my buddies walked in through the door. Waitress was very kind and patient in taking our order. She also wasn’t on top of us all the time, she was paying attention to our needs and customer service was superb. This will be my fam and friends bareburger location to come to. PS: restrooms were very clean

I had a pickup order, was missing three things (half the order), so I drove all the way back. i came back and trjed to explain the situation, was interrupted before I said WHAT was missing and was not even given apology. I asked if it how long it would take the the man I was speaking to said he couldn't promise anything (mind you I just needed fries and onion rings, not whole burgers or sandwiches) - when is said I had hungry kids at home and needed it soon he said was busy and he didn't know dismissively and with an attitude. I understand mistakes happen and I understand it can be stressful to work when an establishment is very busy but generally an apology or some kind of offer to make up for an error would be expected rather than making a customer feel like an inconvenience. I initially picked up my order at 6:03. It took 15 minutes total to figure out the order was incorrect and drive there and back. I got the correct items at 7

Pretty neat burger joint. It's not your average burger place, since they have a very varied menu including bison, elk, and waygu beef as options. I had the waygu smashburger and loved it. Fries were good, too. My wife had a bison burger and thought it was great. For her side she opted for their onion rings and they were very good as well. The service was good although one server was caring for 4 tables and all of the takeout orders, too. She did a good job in keeping up. They do have a few draft beers, which is a nice touch and happy hour specials as well.

I always liked this place! I havent been in a long time and recently went to pick up some lunch and ordered the 4oz organic grass fed beef burger on a brioche bun with alfalfa sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. I opted for farm style cheddar cheese on my burger. My side over consisted of delicious cooked to perfection sweet potato fries & a side of organic catchup. Overall, easy ordering online for pickup and great food.

Loved the chicken bites app and my elk burger. Also nice peanut butter shake Nice decorated place good for dates. Huge menu, something for everyone here

Service was very pleasant and you could tell the food was real food not fast food garbage Pleasant atmosphere I would definitely try again.

It was my first time here and I will definitely be back, the Resturant ambiance is so lovely and comforting. My server Kaitlyn was such a pleasure with guiding me what to order .With Pavan behind the bar my martinis came out phenomenal, i had to have a 2nd round . The night was busy for take out and the new guy Evan was giving outstanding customer service to the delivery guys. Working in a restaurant as well you tend to listen in on everyone's service to see what it's like from a customer's perspective. 10/10 I will be back for that Spicy Paul Bunyan . Food was so goodddd I forgot I had a phone to take photos of my food . Thank you Bareburger Fam.

This rating is not so much about the food as it is the service. From past reviews it seems this is a long standing issue. Just not enough ppl working especially on a saturday night. It takes a very long time to get a server and by the time food comes it's nearly cold. Or the online order wait is at least 40 minutes past the estimated time. At these prices that's just not ok

Been here a couple of times, both dining in and taking out. Ambiance is well lit and able to accommodate different sized parties with ease. I am very much a fan of its consistency in delivering quality food and good range of choices. Parking is very convenient and the staff has always been attentive. Once, when I had difficulties ordering online, I filled out a survey thinking it would end up in the abyss of non-response. I was wrong - I received a personal reply apologizing for the difficulties. I was speechless - and quite pleased by how I could have been easily ignored but treated like a valued customer. These are the kinds of places I frequent - and so should you...

Industrial Vibe standalone store in the lot of a busy Plainview shopping center. Good all around stop for a quick Veggie, Turkey or Regular burger, Salad or Fries. Menu is condensed to variations of those items. Onion rings may be their best claim to fame. A few good sandwich bun options also. Place is clean, staff cool and efficient. No nonsense easy fast bite in a pleasant place to sit for a quick meal. Nothing super wowing but all good.

Service was good but everything was way oversalted and i like salt. Our truffle wagyu sliders were SO salty that they were impossible to eat. Never coming back there again. Maybe that's why it was completely empty.

This is my favorite neighborhood joint for a quick drink or bite. The people are super friendly especially Davon, Catalina and Katelyn. Their apps and burgers taste great. My favorite app is the Honey Brussels which I pair with a classic marg. I love their happy hours every day till 7pm. Never had a single bad experience so far. They do get crazy busy during the peak hours so I always make it a point to go a little after 6:45 so I can still order happy hour drinks and the environment is a bit calmer. I would highly recommend this place.

We've ordered from here a number of times. Usually decent food. Last night we ordered two burgers and two chicken sandwiches. All the buns were burnt (like black). They asked for feedback so I sent it to them and received a 20 percent coupon for the manager. It was a nice gesture so we will probably try it again.

The food was just ok and the service was horrible and before we came into the restaurant we saw two huge rats just going in and out of the restaurants . They really didn't care about us they cared about other people who where dining and only cared for a tip or Cheque. Not what I expected from a local place

Pretty decent burgers, very average service. Nothing to write home about. The interior/exterior design was unique and had a fun vibe though. They started us off with popcorn in a bag? Interesting but ok! I ordered the single ranchero and a large side order of fries. The wait for the food was abnormally long, especially since there was barely anyone else eating lunch inside. When I got the burger, it looked plain and a little sad. But after I tried it I was surprised that it had a lot of flavor! The patty was juicy, the bun was soft, and the light sauce they used was a great touch. Not too heavy or creamy. The fries looked plain as well, but yet again, they were pretty good. Overall, the experience was alright!

Generally I have had good food here and brought large numbers from the family, even 20 or so people We went last night at 825pm and they only offered us take out Maybe Bareburger thinks they are in the DC Area but in the NY area, it is understood that if you get in before close, you can order and eat in peace It's also not like we came at 859pm There was plenty of time for them to give us food and for us to eat and leave with plenty of time for their staff to clean up and get home.

Visited bareburger on a friday night to grab some food with my buddy. The waiter danielle was awesome and made sure everything came out to our liking the overall atmosphere was really good would definitely recommend Davon the manager was also very attentive making sure everything was good and that we had no issues. would definitely recommend this place for an overall quick bite or stop for some drinks and a good time.

The service is very slow. They never seem to have enough waiters or someone to greet the guest. There's no organization as to who is serving which table. The food is good and the place is neat. If they can solve the staffing and organization issues it would be a great place.

Ordered for pick up order was ready exactly when they said it would be. Staff were very kind and welcoming.. Drove here specifically to get a gluten-free fried chicken sandwich and french fries and boy did it not disappoint!!! Perfectly crispy and delicious and juicy. I have not had fried chicken in years!!

Got there about 6 pm. Honestly was not too crowded. It took 15 minutes and we realized no one was planning on coming to the table. So 20 minutes on we asked someone who was working there to get our waitress to take our order. She said, I can take your order. We ordered a soda and a cocktail. And at the same time ordered our burgers. We waited another 20 minutes and nothing. Didn't see our waitress (blonde hair pulled back, didn't know her name. ) We got up to leave and went to the bar to and told them we never got our drinks and we are leaving. The bartender asked what our order was and said he doesn't have the slip for it. We left. Seriously, it was not that crowded and there were plenty of servers, ours was nowhere on site. Needless to say I will never go back to this or any of their other locations. We did drive down the shopping center and found a great Mexican food place. That was fantastic.

Got delivery from this place for the first time food was very good came fast because I'm close It was hot I enjoyed it and I will definitely go for it again.

Rob B. noted - food is not the same- miss old menu- pretty much same about service. True True. Went there today. Mediocre- I ordered a build your own with beef. Seems they now serve Elk. They now give you a very little bag of popcorn. Guess its one to a table as when I asked for another, I did not get it. Again not work the effort to ask again. Burger did not seem as large or juicy as I remember though it was not that small of a burger. I got an egg on top of the burger, which I returned as it was really too over easy. Fried Pickles were overcooked but as they were eaten anyway, what's to say. Survey by Sergio the manager who was there when we were; I think we were the only people dining there at that time. Dessert was all but nonexistent for choices. Went to the near by French bakery to top lunch off.

Came here at 8:15pm on a Saturday night. The place wasn't too busy, however our sever was on top of her stuff. Constantly came over and checked on our table. Place was clean, food was delivered fresh, hot and quickly. Our server was Danielle. Great personalities by the entire staff. Ambience was nice. Even changed to the Yankees game for us. Will definitely return again!

Okay, I have been wanting to try this place since I first saw them open and just never had the chance because I'm not always in Plainview. Today was that day.. I went there just shortly after 1 PM on a Thursday for lunch. There were two of us I ordered a standard burger which comes with Colby cheese and caramelized onions and my husband ordered a bison burger which he customized with his toppings. We ordered onion rings and french fries and garlic aioli and two drinks. The server was friendly although I could see she was clearly very inexperienced, if not, then not good at her job. Our table was really dirty I cleaned it with the water that they put down and whatever napkins I could get from around me the floors around us and under all of the tables was very dirty with food debris. That was a turn off which I only noticed after we had ordered or I would've walked out. They were only two customers in the restaurant there was no reason that they were cleaning the stations. That said I cleaned off my table assumed it was an off day for the staff and looked forward to the meal. When the food came. The garlic aïoli and the onion rings were not present. She did bring me the sauce but then informed us that they had no onion rings so that was kind of a disappointment since we should've been told before the meal was served that something we ordered was out of stock. Maybe we would we like to change it to something else then, but not once the food was already served. Into the meal the burger I had was bland and well done (I ordered Medium) and it turns out that I got the bison patty with all my toppings and my husband got the beef burger that I ordered for with his customized toppings. My soda also had barely any syrup in it so it tasted like seltzer with just a slight hint of flavoring. All in all I love the concept of this place we just weren't blown away today and maybe it's an off day. I don't know if we would go back we're not in the area that often and it wasn't anything memorable. If we ever were to try it again it would be a different location I think.

Great location, with good friendly service and as always, a unique selection of meats. Everything was well cooked and filling.

Decided to try somewhere new to me, because I had never eaten here before. Always heard great things about here but always kept forgetting to go. Yesterday I ordered the BL Turkey Burger with a double patty and my boyfriend got the El Rancho burger. We decided to split a little thing of fries between us. The Turkey burger was tender, juicy, the bacon was smoky and had avocado which was so fresh and delicious. It did have a light honey mustard on it which I did enjoy very much! My only complaint was that the burger was very messy and hard to keep together on the bun. Otherwise this was a very scrumptious burger and I'll definitely be coming back here again!

Overall great experience, the food is on point. The elk burger is to die for. Service is excellent. The waitress Danielle is amazing, Everyone here makes you feel at home and will go above and beyond to cater to you. 10/10 do recommend

*Edited* review for 05/11/2024 Thanks to my wife checking to see if we got a response on yelp (which we did not) she seen my error for the days. I came on a Saturday. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SATURDAYS AT BAREBURGER! I don't owe an explanation for my mistake in the review but for the people that would possibly come. I accidentally put Friday as the day not to come because that is the usual day I come so l got it confused. Me and my family Wanted see how it was on a Saturday and it sucked! Just come Friday if you don't want to deal with a terrible "manager" and lazy staff. I hate that I had to leave a review. I honestly would call myself and my family regulars. The service and everything today sucked. It took almost 25 minutes for our order to be taken by our inexperienced server who seemed like he wanted to quit. The "manager" looks like a kid fresh out of high school. Terrible attitude and just shouldn't in my own opinion be in charge of a restaurant like this. The only thing he was in charge of while me and my family were dining in was his phone. He barely looked up. The food is the only thing that brings us back. I'll never come back on a Saturday here again. I usually come on other days of the week which I won't say for obvious reasons but Saturday is a BIG NO. Great food. Terrible service and staff!

Been meaning to stop in for a while - finally did - and wish we had sooner! Everything was great. Loved the atmosphere, very comfortable, inviting place. Didn't know it was table service which was a nice surprise. Has the tempura cauliflower - LOVED IT - tasted like A really good sesame chicken but cauliflower! Husband had the National, I had the Turkey burger bunless, both were great. Love how you get two patties (not too thick either) for best dear and flavor. Server was friendly and professional. Great selection of beers and cocktails!

Luis was an amazing server. He was so respectful and accommodated our requests very well. The manager even came to make sure we were doing okay. The place is also nicely decorated.

Great burgers, delicious margarita (hibiscus) love how one small order of fries can be half sweet potatoes and regular fries and a small is enough for two! Great service and Catalina was so kind and helpful! All around delicious and good experience

I had a burger and fries. The fries were tasteless. The pickle on the burger had some kind of spice that overpowered everything else. And for this I paid $21.00?

Poor excuse for a hamburger. Had a traditional burger on brioche with cheddar cheese and caramelized onions. Med well was well done. Tasted like cardboard. Onions were watery. Asked for Mayo. It was plopped on table without announcing it was served as I was not looking. Stoic atmosphere.

We had a wonderful dinner tonight and our server, Maryne, was so attentive and lovely. The manager, Gerardo, came over and checked in with us and was very kind. We'll definitely be coming back.

Today was my second visit to Bareburger's Plainview location when I came here for lunch and sat at the bar. The first visit was last month when I ate at a table with some co-workers. Like I did last month, I had the lunch special. It is a bargain: burger,soft drink and fries. For $13.95, I custom-ordered a Standard: organic grass-fed beef, organic Colby cheese, caramelized onions, dill pickle, special sauce on the side, brioche bun. There was a $1 up charge for the sweet potato fries. The fries were lukewarm and slightly soggy. I like them hot and crisp. Maybe the cook was having a "bad potato day" because the fries were excellent last time. The Standard is the best cheeseburger that I have ever tasted in New York. It rivals the one that I had at The Bull and Finch Pub (Cheers), years ago when I was a college student in Boston. Bareburger is a national franchise, which originated over a decade ago in Queens. Every ingredient in The Standard brought out the flavor of one another. However, it was the caramelized onions that I enjoyed the most. I will definitely return to this restaurant. Every State needs an excellent burger place. Massachusetts has Cheers. New York has Bareburger.

I was ignored for 10 minutes. No one else was working except my waitress. I was at this restaurant for 45 mins and this guy was talking to friends non stop for as long as I was there. When I "interrupted" him by standing up and asking him if he had napkins on him he thought that was funny. He repeated my request "No and told me where I could get them" The burger in a collard green wrap was good but fries don't belong inside?

Always fresh, healthy (or not) & delicious. There is a lot of variety and I especially like that it's organic and hormone free.

This place has been a little hit or miss but today it was spot on. Service was quick and our order was accurate. Food was delicious. We got the sweet potato burger with cheddar and avocado, a so co burger (turkey) onion rings and fries and a kids burger. All good was hot, fries were seasoned nicely and onion rings were crispy. Best veggie burger I have had and my wife loved the SoCo burger. Also I got 20% off for being a teacher! We went early and the restaurant was quiet. It picked up by the time we left.

Why don't I come here more often?! ORGANIC, GRASS-FED Burgers! I've never had a bad thing at this Barrburger -- food's always fresh and delicious. I built my own burger today: Wagyu Beef blend, etc... I think I'd have to do a side-by-side taste test to see if it really is better than their regular patty, but it was tasty. New thing (since I was here last (~1.5 years ago) -- fresh popped corn in a little paper bag served when I sat down. Nice.

This location has a catchy structure built right on the corner of Woodbury and S Oyster Bay Rd. It's an eye catching spot almost immediately so I decided to give it a shot. Now I do recall the first or one of the first bare burger spot opened in Astoria , Queens and it definitely stirred a buzz. I don't recall ever trying out their food but this time around , the towering structure called out to me. Look closely and it's a couple of storage containers put together to make it look like what you see. The interior is pretty cool , with everything "bare" and open , from the pipes and air shafts to the steel frame. I like it. The staff was highly attentive because hey, I was the only patron in there. Judging from the online orders they were filling, business was boomin'. Taking a look at the menu, they got something for everyone, the carnivores, the herbivores and the omnivores. I decided to go herbi and ordered the sweet fries and "sweet Dreams" .....insert lyrics here. I ordered an Arnold Palmer (paired with the blueberry cardamom tea). Awesome combination of I don't say so myself. I went with 2 additional sauces , chipotle ranch and mango teriyaki . The fries were crunchy and were light, I couldn't stop eating them! The burger was pretty awesome and fresh , and with all this and the great tentative service , I'd definitely come back for more Bareburgers! * note to outdoor dining, the feng shui is a bit off with the oncoming traffic noise. I'd go with indoor dining or dine outdoors when traffic is slow.

I brought Friends to Bareburger in Plainview and told them they would love it. Well that did not happen. The manager left us standing at the front door for almost five minutes until I walked over to the bar (10 feet away) and asked him to seat us. He still did not look up and said " be right there" We stood for another couple of minutes until the waiter seated us. But she did that on her own without direction from the manager. We then sat for another 10 minutes until he found his way over after organizing all the seats at the bar and talking with his staff. I have been served by him before and was never impressed with his customer service skills but this visit was horrible. He should not be working with the public. I will never return if he is working there. I gave a 15% tip but wish I didn't.

I cannot wait to come back! Come here hungry because the portion sizes are huge. My spicy chicken sandwich was packed with flavor and the bacon was crisp to perfection. The lemonade was delicious not too sweet but just perfect. The truffle type fries were also very good. Check this place out if you're in the area. You will not be disappointed.

The food is great and delicious. It's the in-door service that is not the best and I kept in mind that there staff shortages but i was starving and wanted to just go cook my own food. I still love this place but won't dine in

The food is okay, the service is on a another level of bad. Only reason why I may go back They are allergy friendly. However being that the service is so bad I will try to find another place.
