"Good news for New Hampshire beer lovers: BareWolf Brewing, out of Amesbury, Massachusetts, has expanded its distribution to New Hampshire." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

"Barewolf Brewing is a quick walk from Silvaticus. Far enough to let the pretzel do its thing, but not so far that you’ll lose your buzz. Here, opt for the Quiet Desperation — it’s hazy and fruity and an exemplar of New England IPAs. (Its name also references a Pink Floyd lyric, which is inherently good.)" - Terrence Doyle

A Perfect First Rodeo Celebration! We recently hosted our son's first birthday party and I honestly can't say enough good things about the experience. From start to finish, the team was incredibly accommodating, professional, and easy to work with. The planning process was smooth, and they made everything so stress-free for us. The event itself was flawless—great atmosphere, friendly staff, and perfect execution. The nachos, tacos, and flatbread pizzas from Scarlet Fire BBQ were a hit with both kids and adults, and of course, the beer was fantastic! Our guests kept commenting on how much they loved the venue and the overall vibe. It’s not easy to find a place that strikes the right balance between fun for adults and comfort for families with little ones, but Barewolf Brewing nailed it! Highly recommend for parties, gatherings, or just a great day out. Thank you again for making our little guy’s big day so memorable!

Google
BareWolf Brewing in Amesbury, MA for a few pours on a cold Sunday afternoon, but that just makes the beer taste even better. I've been here at least six times since 2021 because of the awesome three piece brewery hub (RIP Outrider Beer Company) in downtown Amesbury. I'm a huge fan of the laid back hippie vibe here & have always enjoyed my visits, the place is just chill. Looking back on my Untappd app I realized I had mostly only had the IPAs other than a cream ale, saison & sour during previous visits. This time I figured I'd pivot & go a slightly darker route & grab a red ale, brown ale & a dark ale to try to mix up some styles since I already know I love the IPAs. 🍻🍻🔥💪 I started off with the LAUNCHPAD MCQUACK Red Ale that was really crisp with some good flavor. My second pour was the UPSIDE BROWN ALE which was a good average brown. The third & last beer of the trip was the delicious INCH Belgian Strong Dark Ale that definitely made my tastebuds tingle at a nice 10%ABV. It was fun to try a few different style offerings this time & all three were good, especially that INCH. (That's what she said) 🍻☘❄🔥 Like I said at the top, this place just has a great vibe. There was what seemed to be a local craft fair happening inside when we showed up in the early afternoon. All your usual seating options here including tables, rail seating & hightops. Awesome game room inside the taproom with a handful of arcades & more. Great can selection to go so you can take some of the goods home or grab some for a tasting. I'll be back sooner than later, but for now I'm going to be slowly making my way further into Massachusetts to check out plenty of the breweries I haven't been to yet. ✌♥️🍻🔥☘ BEERGASM RATING - I'VE COME AT LEAST SIX TIMES 69/94 🍻🍻🍆🍆🍆💦💦💤💤✌♥️🍻 #wildweekend #craftbeer #supportlocal #beerstagram #BeerGoals #untappd #NewHampshire #newengland #newhampshireeats #beer #brewery #brewerylife #bartender #nhbrewed #nhbrewery #beergasm #Massachusetts #drinklocal #eatlocal #wildweekend

The friendly staff, welcoming environment, and great beers in a comfy space makes Barewolf a great hangout spot! The space itself has lots of spots both indoors and outdoors to find a good corner to sit in. The variety of arcade games are really fun and there's a change machine). The bathrooms are clean and have changing stations for the kiddos. The beer selection is varied- right now in into the orange you glad - the orange hefeweizen.

We’ve been to a few events at BareWolf, and apart from the tasty brews—we cannot stress enough how fantastic their customer service is for handling any situation. They were professional, customer-focused, and automatically dealt with a specific uncomfortable situation gracefully. Unfortunately, we left the premises to get out of the funk we found ourselves in, and the owner tracked us down to inform us of the steps they had taken to correct the situation and what they were doing to prevent it from happening again. (Thank you!) We will be back! 🍻💞

Google
Barewolf is an amazing brewery with an inclusive and relaxed environment! I was looking for a place to host a charitable event for a non-profit. Rachel was communicative and easy to work with! She let me know ahead of time that their usual food vendor ran out of food earlier in the week so I was able to plan and have pizza delivered for my event. The beer is tasty and everyone had a great time! I will continue to rave about our experience and I truly appreciate them providing a space for me to have a successful charity event!

I like the beer BUT the environment and management is terrible. I have a 12 year old son and we were there with friends and his friend. There were a bunch of little kids (under 6 years of age) running wild. No supervision at all. My son and his friend were playing pool and we sat down in another room. Management came over and told us we had to watch our children. WHAT!!! Our kids who are not doing anything but playing pool respectfully!! Are you kidding? Never mind not being able to enjoy myself with screaming children, you insult me by saying my well behaved child needs watching. Now I get bringing kids to breweries, I’ve been bringing mine since he was little too. But I was respectful to everyone around me and kept him wrangled. Bummer management has things backwards. NEVER going back!!

Google
Great brewery with super friendly staff and a love for all things local - local bands, local art pieces, etc. Dog friendly and allowed inside the brewery. Decent sized space with private room for parties and functions. Some board games, books, and even arcade games available.

Google
Super disappointed with our recent experience here. We have been customers since our son was very small. Recently visited and while a literal HERD of small Children were running feral an employee asked my friends and I to supervise our older children ( 2 of them) who were playing pool bc they allegedly were hitting the ceiling with the sticks. This wasn’t found to be true.…my son was learning to play pool and his stick was accidentally higher in the air than they liked. But it was ok for all the toddlers to run and almost knock beer out of my hands and stand on chairs in the ramp. We won’t ever go back.

Yelp
We had a great time at the BareWolf Brewing. The dog friendly/kid friendly atmosphere is great. Both bands were excellent. Really hoping to see the Accidentals again!!!

Yelp
Great beer! Fun atmosphere. Had a couple martens while my wife had the rice lager. Nice, relaxing, open vibe. Will come again !

Kelli T.

Yelp
Several extremely friendly staff greeted me as I entered and we helpful making my beer selection. My ale was quite tasty! I was pleasantly surprised to find room after room of old school arcade games; the place is huge. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Mike L.

Yelp
Very unique. The atmosphere is very interesting the beer was delicious. I would recommend everyone try it.

Natalie S.

Yelp
Dog Friendly inside, very unique and interesting beers. The staff is super friendly and helpful letting you try any of their beers. The atmosphere is casual and open for groups.

Vinny E.

Yelp
The beer was very good but I did not like the LGBTQ theme. I support being proud of who you are but I do not like the rainbow flags that are displayed.

Abby G.

Yelp
Came for a dog adoption event and wound up having a great time. Such a fun, upbeat environment and bonus points for being dog-friendly.

Yelp
Could I give any less stars to this shothole brewery. The owner was screaming at his wife, and kicked a small dog while I was there. He was very rude to me personally, my wife and 1 year old son..he's a year old for God sake. Would never go here again, would never recommend this place to anybody.

Stephen M.

Yelp
Can't decide which is better,... The beer or the people. Had an incredible experience at Barewolf today. First I felt like the employees were beyond helpful and went out of their way to create a welcoming atmosphere and where just super helpful and nice and friendly. Then I had the beer. The Pilsner was clean, crisp, and tasty. Most pilsners are clean and crisp, but theirs was balanced with a very flavorful body. Delicious. Also fad a couple Seasons., Which were just as good.

Yelp
I live about 5 minutes walking distance from this place and have tried to force myself and my boyfriend to like it because of the convenience, but after the most recent experience we had I have to say the last nail has been put in the coffin. The first thing I have to say is that breweries are for adults, not children. Especially after 5pm. I don't want to go to a brewery and hear babies crying, kids running into me, or a group of kids playing tag, zig-zagging around the tables. I'm here to relax and drink a beer - I chose to go to a brewery, not Chuck-E-Cheese. Secondly, I arrived on a Friday night to find the staff drinking and playing pool. When my boyfriend and I asked if we could play, we were told by the staff that we could "have winners". After ordering another mediocre Barewolf-brewed Beer and playing board games to kill time, 45 minutes later the staff was still sitting around playing pool between long breaks while one of them had to actually step away and service a patron who was coming into their establishment. The outright disrespect and just blatant lack of caring for a paying customer is something I have never experienced and hope to never experience again, since I will never come back. Amesbury is a great community with great people and it's a shame that there are businesses like this that are in our town. But hey - if anyone is looking for a job that pays you to ignore customers, play pool and drink beer, Barewolf is the place for you!

Yelp
love the beer and looking forward to visiting as I had no idea that there were Russian billionaires living in Amesbury, MA. so exciting!

Charles J.

Yelp
Great beer! Really good quality beer but the vibe is not what I expected. The music played was blasting and it was all reggae when I went. Place is nice but I really didn't feel like the brewery was comfortable and get it was kind of niche. Worth going to to pick up a four pack but honestly the vibe was not one that I enjoyed and I can't say that about many breweries

Jennifer G.

Yelp
I really love Barewolf Brewing. The atmosphere is family-friendly and laid back. Leashed dogs are welcome. There are boars gsmes to play and a ton of seating options. Oh, and the beer is great! I have tried more than 6 different beers here and enjoyed them all. If you are looking for a casual, fun, family friendly spot for an afternoon pint, you can't do much better than Barewolf. Beer is also available in cans at the brewery and local markets. I just wish they had more food options. PS: Barewolf has also hosted many events for our community which adds a lot to our town.

Yelp
I love this place, the people here are so chill and welcoming and the Vibe is always great!! I love when breweries are pet and family friendly because it not only says, "come here and relax" but it also says "bring your family! We know parents want to relax too!" My boyfriend and I love coming here, and the other day I lost my license and Matthew was super helpful when I came in and found it for me, even remembered me coming in the night before! Love foggy galaxy!

Kenny P.

Yelp
What a gem Amesbury has in BareWolf. The brewery itself is spacious with plenty to entertain yourself with. It is pet and family friendly as I personally feel breweries should be. Parking is never obnoxious. Let's be honest though, the most important part is the beer itself. I tend to assess a brewery's beer on how well they nail more difficult styles like Vienna Lagers or saisons. They have knocked it out of the park several times. One of my favorites was a tart Hefeweizen. Having said all of that, they do also do a fine job with their juicy hazy haze bombs as well. They don't discriminate. Haze bro's rejoice. Keep up the great work folks. It's clear you love what you're doing.

Yelp
This is a nice little brewery in an industrial space in Amesbury. Not far from Brewery Silvaticus. We stuck mostly with their IPAs and pale ales and enjoyed them all. I got to dust off my rusty Galaga skills and notched a respectable score and we got to sit back and relax for a bit after a long day. There beers are starting to appear on taps in Boston too, so more people should be hearing about them soon!

Kate H.

Yelp
My absolute all time favorite place to go out! BW has an awesome crew working the bar, super delicious beers and the best night life around with live bands and food truck! Love all the shows of local artists too. Aaaand they just added a beer garden outside, super cute. Dog and kid friendly.

Jeffrey F.

Yelp
The people who run this brewery are awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional but most of all, fun. They do everything to make great beer and they also have some of the best label artwork I have seen. The air conditioning room to enjoy libations has that warehouse feel you would expect from a real craft facility. There is always a good vibe in there and you feel welcomed by people who love what you love, not beer snobs who think they know it all. Enjoy it now!

Brendan M.

Yelp
Came before the pandemic, picked up cans during the pandemic, and went back for the first time yesterday, and always a fantastic experience! Love being able to enjoy great NEIPAs and play Mrs. Pac-Man against the wife, board games with pals, or just enjoy some BYO pizza with family (including the pup!). We make it a habit to come back whenever in the area!

John S.

Yelp
Amesbury is so lucky to have such an amazing brewery. From the friendly and helpful staff to the outstanding beers this place is a gem. They always are pumping out new beers and don't stick to one style. Super kid and dog friendly! If you don't like fun this is not the place for you.

MaryAnn C.

Yelp
Relaxed environment with delicious beers! Lots of games to play inside & usually has live music. Can bring your own snacks!! Owners are super chill & very friendly. Love this place!!

Charles S.

Yelp
First time here , Sat night, nice atmosphere, relaxed and very friendly, and as for the beer, our party tried a variety of the beer choices and all were outstanding ! Amesbury very own version of cheers....and free pretzels!!!!

J M.

Yelp
Went to Barewolf brewing and had some Great beers. They have games and a relaxing atmosphere to visit in. The food was excellent and the pool table was so necessary in this space! We were able to meet people over pool and have a good night. There was enough space for a band, great local music. Overall had an excellent time. Will be back as much as possible.

Kevin T.

Yelp
Went here for the ugly Christmas sweater event which was supposed to be dog friendly. We brought our hound and he was very excited and barked a few times, no more than a few barks here and there. As I was at the bar about to get a drink the bartender went over to my fiance and asked her if there was any way she could quote on quote calm our dog down because someone complained about his barking. Mind you I was at the bar and no one said anything to her. I feel as though she was annoyed and not anyone else. I then asked her what the issue was considering she just stopped serving customers and went over to my fiance. She told me a parent with a kid complained. If this is true as someone who represents the brewery she could have explained that this was a dog friendly place and barking is expected considering they're dogs...instead of, chastising my fiance. Her rebuke left us feeling on edge and unwelcome we will not be going back.

Kacie B.

Yelp
Love this place! Incredible creative beer! Growing arcade game selection! Often has live music! Could use more seating, but that is improving with time! Love love love the laid back atmosphere! So thankful to have them in our home town!

Yelp
I'm an IPA guy. In fact, I've been drinking IPAs since Anchor Brewing released it's Liberty Ale back in the 70s. That said, I fancy myself an aficionado, of sorts. I had to pause and write this review following my recent experience with Barewolf Brewing. In my opinion, their "Loose Ends" IPA is among the best, if not the best, IPA in the land. It is a very well balanced beer, with an excellent dry hopped texture and a brilliant, if not subtle, citrus finish reflecting the finest hops available. It is a very drinkable IPA, and deserves much wider recognition than I suspect it's getting. I've also had a host of their others brews, the vast majority of which I have been impressed by. These guys know their beer! Highly recommended for beer lovers out there.
