"Bargarten, the Bavarian restaurant and bar chainlet, had just reopened its Beaverton-area patio February 10 when it was hit with a welcome surprise: The first customer who entered the restaurant left a $2,000 tip. The customer left a note on the receipt: 'Your food is always great, and your service A+ exceptional. Thank you!' The restaurant’s team posted a picture of the receipt on Facebook, with a caption thanking the benevolent customer: 'We wanted to publicly thank this Bargarten Fan for their generosity towards our staff who have struggled during this time of closure,' the post reads. 'Your support and the support of our other faithful customers means the world to us & we look forward to serving you all!' The restaurant had been closed for all service since December." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

My first time here. We arrived to fun German music playing a little after 6:00pm on a Friday night. The place was super busy so we had a 25 minute wait. We waited in the indoor outside seating which was super cold despite there being heaters out there, not sure if they were on or not, but in any event after 25 min. we were finally seated along with other diners on long tables (I was surprised, we weren't in individual tables, but it was fine). The food was well worth the wait! I ordered the chicken w/ cremini mushrooms which was AMAZING, so much flavor. The fondue appetizer was delicious and can be shared with a group. Despite it being busy, staff was attentive and super nice. Will definitely be back!

We had heard so many good things about this restaurant and how good the food was. After dining in and getting a taste of what the hype was about, we felt like it was definitely over hyped. The food was good, and the service was good, everything came out correctly and the wait for the food was short. It was a pleasant dining experience, but it really wasn’t anything special and I wouldn’t say it was exactly worth the price. Either way, it’s a nice place with a cool atmosphere but I don’t think we’ll be planning to go out of way to come here.

Had brunch here and the food was delicious! The waitress recommended the chicken jager schnitzel and it was flavorful! Atmosphere and service was great! I only tick a star because our food came out warm. I prefer it fresh and hot, but that's just my preference. Would definitely come back and recommend for delicious food and a good time with friends and family!

Great beer and drink choices. Fun, German flair inside and a very friendly staff. Stopped by on a Friday afternoon for newly reinstated Happy Hour! Had the amazing fondue plate. Delicious! Wasn't too busy but I think it will pick up as people realize Happy Hour is back on.

It’s alright. The fondue appetizer was unremarkable. I ordered the pork schnitzel which was fine, although, I was pleasantly surprised that the taste wasn’t overbearingly strong given the amount of cheese melted on top. My friend ordered the chicken parm type schnitzel and that was fine too. Overall the food was a tad bit salty for my preference. The ambiance and service from the host and waitress were nice. Good place to sit and catch up!

Kenzie took great care of us for a birthday celebration, and the manager (owner? Hilarious German guy either way) is awesome. Great service and killer food all around. LOVE the heated patio and cocktails 😍 We will be back!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the energy of this lively place! The service was excellent and the host even checked in to see how we were doing! The spatzle with pesto was tasty! I also enjoyed my drink of bourbon on a vine! This was my second visit to this place and I am looking forward to trying their brunch.

Great atmosphere, nicely decorated and easily noticed from street. Situated on corner. Waitstaff was friendly and attentative. Food was good. Drinks were well done. This was a little expensive for happy hour: other places have better deals for happy hour.
