Google
First time visitor today. Gorgeous day out and found this little gem. Get the crab cake…. AMAZING! Gumbo was good as well, may have need a little better on presentation of gumbo but it had a tasty dark rue. Again, crab cake knocked our socks off. Kelly took good care of us sitting at the bar. Thank you!!!!! Bring your BAFL card, they are members. We will be back!!!!!

Kimberly Ford

Google
Wonderful experience having lunch today with my mom! Fantastic food and even better service from Kelly! Do yourself a favor and go! Order the Royal red shrimp! It’s the best!

Mercedes

Google
Great place for drinks and crawfish! We got the chili garlic sauce on ours, which was very unique and good! Near the water, live music, and some shaded tables. The main restaurant was closed today, with only The Yard being open with the crawfish menu and food truck.

Google
Barge has been 1000% renovated since Beyrl. Place looks all brand new. Tropical look in outside, almost upscale inside. Sat by kitchen and watched every dish come out. Everything on the menu looked phenomenal. Next visit will be peanut sauce wings and coconut shrimp. This visit had the best garlic permesan wings ever (sorry Bdubs and everyone else) plus fantastic deep water "royal red" gulf shrimp (best seasoned boil of any place handsdown) and crawfish pies. Well light, extremely clean, quite although every table full with very attentive staff. Dishes are well-priced too. Will make the hour drive again and again. And, oh yeah, they also have The Yard! Always great to see Cory Morrow!

Google
Great food, drinks, service and atmosphere! Love it everytime. Tried the crab cake for the first time .... you have to get it for sure, it was amazing!

Google
Crawfish were good. If I were rating on just that, it would be 4 stars. But… Girls at register are very rude, not welcoming, friendly or helpful. Bad attitudes from the moment we walked in. Non alcoholic drink options are limited. And don’t expect to order unsweetened tea, they act like it’s a major chore. Then And ask for Splenda or sweet n low?? They will act even more annoyed and go around and look and come back and say they don’t have any. Everything at the yard is self serve which is fine, but when you do go ask for something, it would be nice to have a friendly employee to go to. I’ve been twice and both times very unimpressed with friendliness of staff at the bar.

Google
We come here with our two small children all the time, and even though it's a bar atmosphere it is definitely a family-friendly bar. The bartenders recognize our children, the drinks are cheap and strong, the live music is great and the menu has really been upgraded since they reopened. We were so happy to see all of the improvements since their big reopening after Hurricane Beryl, but many of the same friendly faces once we got back.

Young Juhn

Google
Amazing largest crawfish I ever had. 5 lbs and beer perfect combination with live music and view to crater lake.

Yelp
Came here to watch some amateur fights. Lines were ridiculous. Literally one waitress for two lines that were 25 people deep. I'll report later in the drinks if we ever get served.

Yelp
We took a drive down from Houston to hang out by the water. We saw online this restaurant was on a barge, so had to go have a look. We sat on the top floor over looking the water which is really calming. We split the 295 oysters they were sooooo good, the Melted cheese and artichoke went so well with the cooked oyster. The we split the po boy which was also fantastic. We were not given a drinks/cocktail menu which would have been nice, our server was ok we were never given silverware and she didn't come back for a while after taking the first part of our order but we still had a good experience and would recommend.

Yelp
Great atmosphere for a beer and tacos. Prompt service and has a nice view of the water. However the tortilla chips were a bit hard and the warm salsa was spicy and lacked sweetness of ripe tomatoes. Will be back for the fish and shrimp baskets and their crispy fries.
google avatar

Nidhi T.

Yelp
Don't know if it's still open BUT when it was it was a spot to be at . Drove from Houston all the time just to eat here and listen to live music. Because the ambience and food are delicious.

Yelp
They offer AYCE snow crab legs and shrimp! Their Tuesday special from 6-9 pm. A friend recommended this place so I decided to take the family out to support them and my belly. You can choose to sit wherever available, I recommend the top deck. Restaurant sits right on the water so there is a really nice view. Our server was super friendly and helpful. Food took a while to come out but it was made fresh. Ordered the kids the fried fish basket and two dozen oysters for the adults. They also full bar as well! If you enjoy crab legs and shrimp like I do, I say it's worth the money. They also offer different specials each day, so will definitely come back and try the rest of their menu. Come show your support if you're in the Seabrook/Kemah area

Yelp
The food is good the service was great and we enjoyed dining here for a date It was fun

Yelp
This is a very cool spot for locals and out of Towner's. We had the oysters and it was filled with flavor. It was delicious with the cheese melted on it. We split the PO boy sandwich and it was incredible. One of the best po boy I've ever had. I'd give 5 stars but the service wasn't great. I had to keep getting up and get utensils and order my drinks myself since the waitress never came.to.the table.

Yelp
Just disappointed that this place was closed when it showed it was open on a Friday night. My first negative review. It did look pretty from the business next door
google avatar

Virginia K.

Yelp
Cool little hang out place. I wasn't impressed by the food at all. I kept it simple, I 1/2 dozen grilled parmesan garlic oysters, a dozen boiled shrimp and a bucket of beer. The oysters were so small, no bigger than a marble, and the cheese was barely melted, the shrimp was good but would recommend it not be on ice after it's boiled. The sauce had a flavor that I couldn't pinpoint. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either just weird and I couldn't eat it. I can see hanging out here to have a few drinks and maybe some appetizers but I'll never eat a meal here again. oh it was also pretty windy out and it's swayed a lot where I almost felt like I was drunk it wasn't., so if you get motion sickness easily, you might want to stay on the floor and not go up to the second floor.

Yelp
Plastic in my taco killed the thrill! It could really use a good cleaning. View is great!
google avatar

Yelp
Fresh and good! That's all you really need to know! The place is just like your local hometown bar with a relaxed vibe! It's a barge and you can feel the waves from time to time. If you queezy easily, I would avoid. But it's not that bad. People are friendly and again the food is amazing!
google avatar

Francis V.

Yelp
If you like crawfish come give them a try they are very good. I've tried them several times and haven't been disappointed I also, like the burgers and they do have plenty more items on the menu. Floating Barge with indoor and outdoor seating with top deck water view. Live music, drinks, and boat docks. It's casual and does get loud.... In a good way. No waiter's but, ordering yourself is pretty quick.

Yelp
Have been wanting to try this place and was a little disappointed. Bartender was not the friendliest & ran her mouth a little about the entertainer that was supposed to be playing. The views were nice. And yes, as someone mentioned before, be warned cause it's a barge and will rock to the waves. Bathroom is men/women and surprisingly clean. Hubby had the quesadillas, nice size and delicious. They came with chips. Salsa was tasty. I opted for the fried green tomatoes with blackened shrimp. Tomatoes were on the soggy side and not much blackened about the shrimp. The last shrimp I took a bite of was not right, and I had to spit it out(I know, gross). Did let the bartender know and she said she would let the kitchen know.

Yelp
Been here a handful of times over the past year. Live in Houston but love to come down to shop Maas Nursery and found this gem. So dog friendly that they not only remembered us and our pup months later but also the water dish we had left behind and not even realized. Do not sleep on the ruby red shrimp, they are so buttery and rich. Gulf oysters on the half shell is always a classic choice. Tried snow crab clusters here for the first time today and was very happy with that choice. The seafood here is slap yo momma kind of good. The atmosphere is relaxed like hanging out on your Dad's back deck, service is friendly and the drinks are flowing. The signage on the road could be better but if everybody knew about this place I wouldn't be able to get a table.

Yelp
They have THE BEST frozen in the state. If you haven't had the bushwacker, get over there and try one. It's great to sip on overlooking the water. LOVE IT

Yelp
3.5 stars. This review is mainly for the unlimited crawfish on Tuesdays! Came here with co-workers for the ayce crawfish. It's $30 for ayce which comes with all the fixins - pretty good deal if you ask me. They also have a "chili oil" reminiscent of Viet cajun sauce that you can get on the side. It's normally $7/lb so if you eat 5 lb you've made your money's worth. Service was a little slow, but we noticed that the bartender also had all the tables. She actually did a great job for working solo, but it would be nice if there were more servers taking orders. Overall, the crawfish deal is not bad for the money. Crawfish is decent - not the best but also not the worst. Not sure I'd come back unless I get invited to come here again. It's nice that the bar is literally on the water and you can notice it swaying, too!

Yelp
Location, location, location!!! Enough said about barge 295. The service is very attentive, food is great. And being on the water makes everything better.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Food was pretty mid, got tacos and the shell was dry and the meat kinda tasteless. Didn't try drinks so can't speak to that, but seems like more of a chill bar area on the water than a restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
About 2 weeks ago we went to the Barge and tried the new oysters and they were really good! We ordered the Lake Diablo oysters and they were excellent, grilled oysters with Bbq blue cheese butter sauce and topped with freshly shaved parmesan.

Yelp
Wife & I came here after visiting the space center ( definitely recommend) and it was an overall good experience. We were looking for seafood out on the water and this is exactly that. The staff is very nice, the bartender comped us chips and queso because the wait on our drinks was a bit long and she very nice. It wasn't a crazy wait just was a bit packed as your expect on a Friday night. Good drinks, cold beer. The fried fish basket was really good, fries were good. People aren't loud or obnoxious, but definitely wouldn't bring kids. More bar than restaurant but it's a fun environment if you're into that experience. Overall would come back, nice to eat good food, drink cold beer and watch the water. 8/10 for me, only complaint is there's only one restroom & with everyone drinking, the line can kinda back up but other than that, a fun spot

Yelp
Drove in from Galveston for Sunday Funday. Sat upstairs under cover in bar area Covid masks not required and worn by no one. Took about 10 minutes to be acknowledged. Watched a lot of people turn over their jet skies in Galveston bay while waiting! LOL! Our waitress was Carly and she was busy when we arrived at 1pm. From the looks of it...I think she was handling a lot by herself; two other waitresses showed up about 30 minutes later and the process went smoother as far as getting assistance. They don't have a drink menu soo, my brain had to "think"...ugh! I got a vodka with OJ/cranberry...it was a weak pour so I tried a "Truly" seltzer...blah, no flavor there either. We shared the pulled pork fries with cheese and jalapeño...they were good. Live music came on about 3; Leo Mendoza (hottie who can sing and play guitar) Very casual place on a barge in the water ...be ready to sway with the waves while seated. FYI Outside place next door affiliated to the barge, called "the yard at barge 295" with live music (cover charge) and a good looking food menu.

Yelp
A fun place to hang out and watch the boats, some football and hear some live music. I had the seafood gumbo which was very rich and meaty. Not overly spicy but enough heat to warm your insides on a cool afternoon. The peel and eat shrimp was a good a combo with the gumbo. A good size, they looked like 18-20 according to the amount I got with my half pound order. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
I had visited barge 295 multiple times but by the time I got there the kitchen was closed or we were just there for drinks. The other day I was in the area during the day and was craving some seafood by the water and I remembered I had always wanted to try the food at Barge 295. It was a great choice! The ahí tuna tacos were a great choice and absolutely delicious. The homemade salsa is just the right amount of spicy and the chips it came with were fresh and super crispy. Definitely would recommend you try those!

Yelp
Came here April 16. The food was awesome. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I ordered lemon pepper wings and garlic pam was brought out. And when we informed waitress she took them and brought back the same garlic pam wings but the kitchen sprinkled lemon pepper on top. Even though they weren't the correct flavor the wings still tasted awesome. The crawfish was excellent I've never had sweet potatoes in crawfish and they were the perfect combo in sweet and spicy. They have a signature drink that is GREAT. The shrimp were huge and flavorful and the chargrilled oysters were yummy. The barge moving took me about an hour to get use to but we will definitely be back.
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing atmosphere, employees are so happy and cheerful and make everybody feel welcome. This is my first time at the barge and we are blown away how good this place is. We had snow crab and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were huge and the snow crab was cooked perfect. Looking looking forward to going back again soon. Keep up the good work. A++++

Yelp
The food and service are pretty good here. It's nice to be out on the water with the breeze and listen to some music.

Karli B.

Yelp
Such a neat place to go to a concert - would definitely recommend getting vip or preferred seating

Chris G.

Yelp
Cool place! We stopped for a drink before having dinner elsewhere. Bartender was great! The Royal Reds shrimp was excellent! They say the summertime is a blast here. Hope to visit again!

Yelp
We were in the mood for some good seafood by the water and so it was decided to come try this place out. It did not disappoint. I ordered the oyster trio, popcorn shrimp, and po' boy. All the food was excellent. The oysters were my fav. Seating is first come first serve so be sure you get there in time to grab a seat with a nice view, especially during busy hours; mainly weekends. We came on a Thursday at 6pm so it was not so busy and we were able to find a table quickly. We sat inside the lower deck area, kinda tight and very limited seating but it was a bit more low key since I had kiddos. The Yelp profile states that it is not kid friendly but this is certainly not true before 10pm when the bar crawlers come through. I brought my three kids; 2,7, and 15. The kids enjoyed the water views. The staff and people were really nice and friendly towards them. Last thing I want to mention is that this place is not pet friendly although the profile states it is. While we were there, they installed the sign. So just a heads up if you plan to bring your fur baby. Overall, this place provides a casual atmosphere, live music, and beautiful breathtaking views. Be sure to come at sunset. Also, ask for Nathan; he was amazing with the service and great with my kiddos!

Yelp
This restaurant/bar is really neat - its actually on a floating barge. We came in for lunch and were the only ones seated so we got speedy service. The food menu is unbelievably cheap and my husband and I both really enjoyed our meals - chicken wings and a Philly cheesesteak. Our bill was less than $25 including drinks. It seems to be a cool place to grab drinks as well and they had a music venue outside on the lawn. We will be back to try out the night scene as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Wanted lunch on the water. Decided to try a floating barge, we sat in the upstairs at a pub table. The area had open windows allowing for a breeze to come through. Promptly treated by the bartender who took our drink order. When she came back to take our order I was undecided asked her opinion about three different options and was pleased she was honest that the although the grilled pineapple teriyaki chicken was very popular, it was not her choice because like my husband she doesn't like grilled pineapple (they high fived). Of course I ordered it, it came with a slice of pepper-jack cheese on a grilled jalapeño bun and up front I'm not a French fry person, the best fries ever. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. My husband ordered the shrimp basket 13 large butterflied breaded shrimp nicely done with again great fries. Great prices good food and service. It's an older barge that needs some TLC other than that would be 5 stars

Yelp
Hands-down, the best crawfish in the area, and they also have great wings. It has great karaoke on whatever night they have it, lol we've been in there a couple times and they make a big enough deal of the karaoke that it's actually fun, but it's definitely open air and can get hot as hell inside so you might want to wait till later in the evening to go or get ready to sweat like hell, overall I definitely recommend putting it on your list, just don't stay late because the crowd seems to change but all in all a fun place to hang out!
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
Just recently found this gem...a barge right on the water. Live music, great views...and surprisingly really good food. Like a dive bar on a boat. Really fun place..will definitely go back..
google avatar

Debbie R.

Yelp
We love this place! Great food and service. Also, the people that go there are so friendly. We always meet new friends when we go. We love the way we are dining on the water. Lots of fun in a Saturday night!
google avatar

Courtney M.

Yelp
I usually enjoy myself here with zero problems. Last week, a group of coworkers and myself were celebrating a promotion. The first female bartender that we had downstairs was absolutely wonderful and her male relief was even better! After the band started to play, we took the group upstairs so we didn't have to shout over each other. This is where we encountered problems with the upstairs bartender. I believe his name was Sean? He started off extremely rude and was more worried about closing out someone else's tab as opposed to starting a new one. He barked at me to "wait"....so I walked off. He lacked professionalism all around. Constant smoke breaks. Ignoring our group. He denied one of my co-workers a second beer and said he saw him stumble multiple times when in fact the guy had just gotten off work to meet us there and was sober (he was confused with another part of the crowd). His Bloody Mary was the absolute bare minimum. I was very disappointed considering our party was there from 7 to about 1:30 AM with an open tab!!!!!
google avatar

Thea F.

Yelp
They have great concerts and reasonably priced drinks. Typical dive bar atmosphere on a floating barge that makes you feel a tad more tipsy, but I love it!

David F.

Yelp
Great place to chill. Have a cold beer, listen to live music, watch a game and eat some good food. With a spectacular view.
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
Went in here on a Friday night about 7:00, sat and waited for about 10 minutes and couldn't get any service. Three waiter walked past us several times. I feel like he saw us, but just wouldn't acknowledge. This place has been good during the day when it's less busy, but come on guys! You have a fairly new menu with food you're trying to promote. Just because we weren't sitting at the bar, doesn't mean we should go unacknowledged.
google avatar

Chandler H.

Yelp
It's a two story bar on a dock. Cool spot, over looking the water. Guys are definitely on the prowl there. And sense you can dock there, likely to see some super drunks. The bartender told me I had to pour my own bud light into a cup. Even though thats her one and only job. She ended up doing it after I said something, but instead of a normal plastic cup, she poured into a foam cup... hence the word foam, because that's what my beer was after her pour. I had to re- pour it into a plastic cup.
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
Nice place to hang out for drinks and live music. The food here is good as well, pretty good variety.

Yelp
Last week was my first time there since August 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. The Yard was open, a band was playing so there was some normalcy to an otherwise wasted year. Barge 295 was closed for 30 days for having too many people in their place. Whatever. Fast forward to last week when my friend Kellie & I checked it out rather than deal with the BS traffic to Kemah; her suggestion & a damn good one! We sat outside to enjoy the great breeze & great drinks even though the foam cups are too small for a good strong drink. Anyway, it's the revamped menus & food that are the stars of the Turtle Club avatar. WOW! What a difference- a major difference- a year makes! So much more has been added to The Yard to make it enjoyable experience. Really looking first rate! Anyway, I had Boudin Balls for an appetizer with a side of Ranch. Service was quick even with a steady & busy crowd. Four piping hot golf ball sized golden-fried BBs were placed in front of me. Maybe a bit bigger than golf balls but my goodness they looked delicious & they tasted better than they looked. Crispy on the outside & moist & tender inside! I don't recall what Kellie ordered. Didn't matter. I was into my Balls. Ok, uh, that sounds a bit self-pleasuring but I am talking about food. Focus! Not to be outdone, a friend, Jackie, met me at the Barge today since she had never been here or knew what in the hell was a Boudin Ball. She was in for some great tasting Balls. Uhh, yes, I get the double entendre but, once again, I'm talking about food. Focus! Besides, she has a boyfriend. As soon as we sat down (she had her 10yr old son Connor in tow) we were greeted by Kailyn. Good gosh, she is a strikingly beautiful woman! Good heavens, if her service is as good as she looks we'll never have problem. Guess what? We never had a problem! Duh! When I asked about the "1948" tattoo on her forearm, she gave an intimate story about her grandfather. The date was his birth year. Making a connection with people. It's the little things, man. Those are the things that will keep me coming back. She makes you feel more than a customer; she makes you feel special. Kailyn f***ing ROCKS! We started with my new "Go To" appetizer, Boudin Balls. Remnants of last week when they arrived at our table. Huge, golden-fried pieces of Cajun goodness. Jackie & I split the four. Even Connor liked them & he's super picky! On to the entrees! We all selected the Barge Burger, a simple no nonsense fare without the ridiculous additions of the overrated Gastropub variety. Geez, the KISS method actually works for food - Keep It Simple, Stupid! Barge295 hits a home run with their burger! It was juicy, perfectly grilled, and served open-faced with the basics -pickles, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. Simple without the trendy mess and it makes all the difference! The rich flavor of the meat isn't masked by unnecessary items. And that's what will keep me coming back. My only criticism is the bun. Options should be provided rather than serving it on the sweet Hawaiian bun that's all the rage in most places. For me, it was too much bread & I wasn't wild about the taste of it. In my opinion, it took away from the flavor. I actually ditched one bun then used a knife to cut the other in half. When Kailyn stopped by to check on us she noticed my 'burger manicuring' then said, "Man, you got a lot going on there"! I was a man on a mission. I even mentioned to her about bread options in the future. Look, the burger was great. I just think such options are better for everyone. I'd have been happy with 2 slices of toasted Mrs. Baird's bread, not the bun! You know what I mean, right, like a "welfare burger"? I was raised on them. Remember, it's the KISS method. Since it's in Seabrook, there's lots of eye candy in & out of the place. Man, the place is on the water. Tons of people in swimsuits, shorts, etc. what do you expect? Since you can't nibble on any of it, scan the QVC code on the table or just ask for a menu. I'm telling y'all, Barge295 has upped their game with damn good food. Five stars from me, baby! No doubt about it!

Yelp
Barge is always bumpin!! Great location on the water and great music to share a drink with friends over

Yelp
Went to see some bands play in The Yard, which was a great all-around experience, but got there a little early so my girlfriend and I could grab a bite in the actual barge. I ordered an iced tea and she ordered water. We ate our mediocre meals, then towards the end of the meal I got a second refill of tea and was rudely informed by the male bartender on my THIRD tea that they were charging for them individually. $9 for three glasses of tea?! And inform me on the THIRD one?! C'mon, gtfoh! That's more than the burger and fries!

Mark D.

Yelp
Let's face it. It is a dive bar. The servers and bartenders are slow and innatentive. The food was just average. We ordered a fried medley of sorts.

Carlos H.

Yelp
Worst place on earth. Go to McDonald's instead. We weren't allowed to enter because the "assh..le" bouncer in Cabo called them and said we were drunk. We were completely sober and just wanted to get something to eat after a 1200 mile sailboat delivery. Places like this should be barred from operating.
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
Came at 9pm on a monday to chill and ordered a burger.. took over an hour.. no apology or anything.. thanks for the worse service ever..‍please don't come here
google avatar

Cali W.

Yelp
We found Barge 295 on a random search for a quick bite! We sat at the bar and had some drinks and apps. The food was good and there was a fun vibe. Can't beat the views either.

Yelp
This was a fun place to hang out. Wife and I left and came back because we couldn't find any place cooler to hang out. Great staff the other guest were great. Can't express enough how much fun we had.

Matt S.

Yelp
You would have to be blackout drunk to enjoy this music. I don't know where they find these people. Also it was horribly crowded and parking was a nightmare, when I went out to my car at the end of the evening someone had dumped their soda and trash all over it.
