My partner and I have been interested in working with Barrio Neal for years. I met Page and Anna the owners years ago and felt so relieved to know they share the same values and ideals when it comes to ethically sourcing gemstones and metals. I myself have been collecting rocks, minerals and gemstones for as long as I can remember. They made me feel at home. Fast forward to now… my partner and I went to create wedding bands. Seth was amazing!! He was so calm, patient and generous with his vast knowledge and care. It felt warm and spacious. I felt so heard and understood. Can’t wait to see how our creations look!!! Thank you for everything.

I was greeted warmly by Charlie for our appointment. She helped me and my partner go over various ring designs, sizes, and metals. We were sized for our rings right there, and were given some great advise on getting the right fit. We were able to put in our order and all the details were well laid out and transparent. The store is very inclusive and made sure me and my partner felt comfortable while we were going over our options. I would recommend Bario Neal for anyone looking for jewelry. Can't wait to receive ours for our upcoming engagement and wedding. A big thank you to Charlie as well.

Beautiful and very unique selection of rings. Incredibly helpful staff. Admirable commitment to sustainability and fair trade. My partner and I made an appointment for an engagement ring consultation and found our perfect rings. We are a queer couple and I am personally not accustomed to wearing jewelry at all. Seth helped me find something beautiful that captured my personality and reflected my style and gender. He worked with my partner to design something unique and nontraditional. We also tried on some wedding band options that would complement our chosen rings. Neither of us expected to have such a wonderful experience, let alone pick out our ideal engagement rings. Can’t recommend Seth and Bario Neal enough!

My girlfriend surprised me by proposing with a ring from Bario Neal recently. And I couldn’t believe it, it’s literally my dream ring! Everyone who knows me says it’s the most “me” thing they’ve ever seen. It’s so sparkly and rainbow, it makes me feel like it’s a unicorn’s engagement ring! It’s true that the ring is so beautiful, unique, and high quality. But my real praise has to go to the company Bario Neal. For starters, I feel really good that my fiancée chose this company, because I feel that they mirror our own values. As we are a lesbian couple, it really mattered to me that Bario Neal is a woman-owned company and that they openly support human rights and marriage equality! But beyond that, the customer service is the best I have ever experienced when dealing with a company. My ring had a slight problem, and so I reached out to the company via email, hopeful that their values would stand. I received a prompt reply, and a generous offer to fix (and remake if necessary) my ring. Everyone I spoke to was so friendly and pleasant! It was truly a joy whenever I received an email reply from the company. The ring was fixed quickly and securely, and it didn’t cost me a penny. They didn’t make me pay for express shipping, even though I live in Canada. I was so impressed with their incredible customer service! So not only do I get to wear this beautiful ring every day, but I get to feel good about the company who made it. Thank you Bario Neal for being an important part of our love story!

I have been a fan and customer of Bario Neal for years. I had my engagement and wedding rings custom made by them in 2019. This review is specifically for working with Seth on my newest addition, a custom ring to add to my stack to commemorate the birth of my two sons. I wanted a curved band which included each of our family members birth stones. Seth was open, patient, and thorough in all aspects of the process such as providing information/updates, answering my questions, and design iteration. He was extremely pleasant to correspond with, which made the entire process enjoyable. I could tell he genuinely cared about the sentimental value and visual quality of the piece. As always, I am over the moon with the final product. The new ring is a stunner and I've already received many compliments and inquiries into the process. Thank you, Seth & Bario Neal!

the woman who sells jewelry here mentioned 24 carat gold and when I told her my wedding ring was 24 carat she said "I have no idea why anyone would do 24 carats -it is not a good symbol of forever" .....what is anyone supposed to say to that??? I left. I don't know what is wrong with this woman but being that rude is pretty wild. I collect fine jewelry and was excited to stop by the store since I have seen bario Neal online and liked it. I will never come here again and have blocked their accounts from sending me future ads. I love my wedding ring and would never dream of insulting someone's choice like that.

My husband and I picked out wedding bands at the NYC showroom back in 2017. We liked Bario Neal because they offer beautiful reclaimed gold rings, which we were specifically looking to purchase. Great service, and a very wide variety of ethically-sourced and sustainable options. I purchased the "Bend Ring", which I love because the design is very unique.

Beautiful designs but a few things went wrong when we ordered our wedding bands. - though you can visit the showroom for consultations and fittings, you actually have to order everything online. - they gave us the wrong price during our consultation, so we had our heart set on something that was actually higher than our budget. - my husband was fit for a ring, and it turned out to be too big. they resized it but used a round ring, which is more slippery, so it turned out to be too small for his square fit ring. so we had to get it resized again because they used the wrong ring to fit him. the third time was OK, but they did not agree to comp us for any of the fittings, even though I really felt like it was their error we had to visit them 3 times to get the ring correct.

My husband and I got our wedding bands at Bario Neal and we both absolutely adore them. He got a standard band, which looks great and delivered right on time, and I had a custom band made which I am obbbbsessed with. The week after I decided to go for the custom band, I was in Philly visiting a friend so I stopped by Bario Neal's main storefront there to meet with the designer and talk over the customization in person. The entire staff there was fantastic - friendly, warm, knowledgable, and committed to talking and sketching with me until the exact vision I had in my head was put down on paper. Seeing the wax mold a month or so later was so exciting (and looked great), and the designer answered my questions and comments quickly and thoroughly. Their communication was great throughout and they handled my tricky shipping situation/timing really well, too. The final result is totally rad and is exactly as I imagined it. I also did a lot of price comparisons (super easy to do with my husband's band, since it was a standard width and material), and was really happy with Bario Neal's prices. I looked at a few other small jewelers, some bigger indie stores in NYC, and big chains like Tiffany's and Macy's too, and for my money Bario Neal was the best choice. Even the Macy's bands were pretty comparable (if not even more expensive!), and I'd much rather spend my money at a small company with solid ethics. I'm enough of a penny-pincher that if the bigger chains/indie stores were significantly cheaper, I woulda done it. But I was super happy to be able to support a great business without having to pay more for it!

My now husband, purchased my engagement ring from Bario Neal, he had the beautiful Avens ring made for me with a cushion cut diamond and aqua/ blue sapphire. It is so unique and beautiful, I feel so happy every time I look down and see it sparkle. We worked with Anna on the creation of the engagement ring and then two custom wedding bands. She is super knowledgeable and full of great suggestions and ideas! The show room is lovely and you can try on most of Bario Neal's amazing creations! We really enjoyed working together to get the designs we were hoping for, we had meetings in person several email exchanges and photos of wax models, plus even amazing cad models of the rings before they were made. Bario Neal really knows how to treat their customers!

From customer service to delivery and follow up Bario Neal is a definite 5/5. I have two separate experiences a few months apart, first for our wedding bands, and earrings to follow up. They have a great selection of styles to create and choose from. The customer service is exquisite, friendly, knowledgeable, and no pushiness or up-selling from the sales staff. Genna from the Philadelphia store is a stand out!

I'd seen great pieces from them on the web and in magazines, so I went to Bario Neal when I was looking for a diamond engagement ring. The moment I stepped in was a turn-off, a dingy and poorly lit room. Half of the overhead fluorescents were out; they and the fluorescents in the jewelry case provided the only lighting. The only way to see any piece in detail was to carry it over to one of the dirty windows for some proper lighting. They did not know anything about diamonds. Nothing. The saleswoman had to look up details on how diamonds are graded on her computer, right in front of me. They could not provide any details at all on the actual stone they would use. The best they could tell me was that they would "pick a good one". Needless to say, I did not purchase anything from Bario Neal.

I cannot recommend Bario Neal more highly. This review is for their NY outpost; but it applies equally to their Philadelphia store as well. My wife and I worked with Bario-Neal to design a custom engagement ring and then to design our wedding bands. We are extraordinarily happy with our rings and the service and professionalism of Bario-Neal. In particular: - Spectacular design; very original and beautiful - The in-house control of the entire production and design process made us feel like we were included in the creation of our rings and makes our rings feel very special - They walked us through a lengthy customization of their Asymmetrical Avens Ring. We were able to incorporate some diamonds from one of my family rings and were very thoughtful throughout the design process. I'm not sure that other firms would have allowed us to incorporate heritage stones into our rings (The final product can be found here: https://instagram.com/p/1A2pgotgnH/) - Very easy to reach via phone, email and in person; excellent communication and customer service - Reasonable turnaround and pricing - Overall very easy to work with; smart talented gifted and hard-working professionals I recommend Bario Neal as the source for interesting and beautiful engagement rings and wedding bands.

Bario Neal was everything we were looking for when choosing an engagement ring. We knew we wanted something unique that was non-conflict. Each ring is custom made and the materials are ethically sourced. Initially, I was intimidated at the buying process, but this was very easy. Anna helped guide us through the choices, was very patient, and extremely knowledgeable. At no time did I ever feel pressured. The end result was beautiful, just what we were dreaming about, and then some. We will be going back for our wedding rings.

I scheduled an appointment here in June of 2013 after receiving a recommendation from a friend and looking online at their collection. I was looking for an engagement ring, but hadn't a clue about anything really. I was pretty clueless, doing this solo. The showroom was just coming together, but I instantly felt this amazing sense of being in the right place. Anna Bario was so incredibly welcome and generous with her time and explanations. I loved the simple but elegant designs... especially the more organic looking pieces.. . I wasn't event thinking that I would buy something that day - and there was certainly no pressure to do so, but I couldn't resist. Anna helped me to put together an Aira ring with a blue sapphire set in platinum. It came out stunningly beautiful!!!. My fiance was so happy with it, and encouraged by my experience, that we returned later to buy our wedding bands as well. This time Elyse helped us out and again, super helpful, patient, and wonderfully supportive through the whole process. We had to visit a few times to zero in on the right fit, but they helped us out until everything was perfect. I can't recommend this company enough - we keep sending our friends their way. The have a unique style, with fair pricing, and super high standards for what they sell and how they source. Enjoy!

I had a wonderful experience buying an engagement ring at Bario Neal. I knew my fiance would want me to buy something that was responsibly sourced, and I found Bario Neal online. I was a little unsure what to expect, as I know nothing about jewelry and wasn't sure what my options were in terms of stones, metals, etc. The person I worked with at the Bario Neal showroom was extremely helpful. She gave me a range of options within my budget and really helped me decide on what aesthetic and material choices would make the most sense. The whole process was very easy. My fiance loved the ring! We plan to buy wedding bands here as well.
