Honestly one of the few coffee spots in Nashville that doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard. The space is clean but not sterile, and the music was actually good (not just lofi beats or random jazz). I got a bourbon vanilla latte and a sausage biscuit… both hit. Prices are a little high but it’s worth it for the vibe and the quality. Sat at the counter for a while to do some email stuff, and no one rushed me out. Staff was nice but chill, like they don’t fake-smile at you which I actually prefer lol. Easy 5 stars.

Google
Innovative and delicious coffee with excellent food set in a 70's style auto shop! You should go here. The specially roast was the best cup of coffee I've ever had (trail mix at the time), and the biscuit breakfast sandwich was delicious! A solid pairing while listening to music from classic vinyl or 8 track tapes (from the owners personal collection). The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Parking was available in the adjacent lot (for a fee) and there's free street parking nearby.

Lots of space and great atmosphere for all occasions. I love the retro music display!

I recently visited this place hoping to enjoy a delicious flat white. Unfortunately, my experience fell short due to poorly steamed milk. The texture and taste of the milk were far from ideal, lacking the creamy smoothness expected in a well-made flat white. While the coffee itself was decent, with a rich flavor, the disappointing milk preparation overshadowed the overall experience. If you're particular about a flawlessly crafted flat white, I would recommend exploring other coffee shops in the area.

Google
How long does it take to make three sandwiches? Came in to grab takeout at 7 in the morning. Place was empty. 5 minutes after they took my order they came out to tell me they ran out of sausage. How do you run out of sausage at 7am??? Then they took another 20 minutes to make three sandwiches. Absolutely ridiculous… Nice hipster atmosphere, but need to work on their service.

Nestled in the heart of Germantown, this Barista Parlor location offers a serene and spacious environment perfect for both casual meet-ups and focused work sessions. The natural light flooding through the large windows enhances the minimalist decor, creating a calming ambiance. Their vanilla lattes are, as always, impeccable, and the staff’s friendly demeanor makes every visit a pleasure.

Google
Great place to catch up with friends or do some work on your laptop. It’s a bit cold in there so I’d recommend a jacket. Also I don’t think there are any vegan breakfast options

Joelle Hagey

Google
Go to this place because it’s right next to my house. Only the older man there is nice, rest of the staff seems to hate their job and pretty rude. They charge for the latte then $1 more for any milk - including whole. A latte is espresso and milk so that should not be an additional charge. I went in yesterday for the last time ever because I noticed a 50 cent charge for a hot drink. I asked and the girl taking my order and she was not friendly about it and pretty much just told me they charge 50 cents for hot or cold. Makes no sense. Definitely lost a loyal customer.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this coffee shop on my way through Nashville. Avery provided such exceptional customer service and even whipped me up a special matcha. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This location improved now that they have a new manager. The staff are knowledgable in the intricacies of the beverages. The open kitchen setting is awesome because you can watch your drink be made. The staff keep everything super clean too. The bathrooms are always clean too. The location is dog friendly. The food is just okay. Its a coffee shop - not a fast food restaurant. The sound system, music, vinyl record player give an excellent experience if you're looking to chill for a bit and sip your coffee.

Yelp
We visited here during the Christmas Holiday. We decided to go off and away from the crowd in the noise of downtown Nashville into this nice quiet neighborhood not too far from it. After walking around, we stumbled upon this café. As expected of a café, it smells delicious in here. The vibe was chill with a few people working on their laptop, some folks quietly chatting amongst themselves, and good music playing in the background. The environment is very neat and clean with a minimalism style decor. The vintage music equipment was a nice touch. While we were here, I got the "strawberry fields" pour over coffee. The blend of beans and the style of brew that was applied really did make this taste like strawberries in coffee format. It was quite unique and a good pick-me-up. This hit the spot during the cold winter time we visited here.

Yelp
The most spacious coffee place in the area and totally dog friendly (even inside) but think about getting anything besides coffee and you can forget it! They're always out of everything.
google avatar

Yelp
So expensive... it was $7.65 for a small iced latte. Then the suggested tip was 30% meaning it would have been close to $10 total. I also sat in and the glass it was served in was maybe 12 oz but completely packed with ice and not even filled to the top with coffee. It was gone in like 3 sips

David R.

Yelp
Great coffee palace . Dog friendly. Nice breezy atmosphere. Nice record collection too .
google avatar

Michelle Z.

Yelp
This was a spacious well lit coffee place which looked like a great place to study. I stopped by to try the Strawberry Oat Milk Matcha. It was blended very well but a little too sweet for my liking.
google avatar

Kevin G.

Yelp
Used to love this place. It was part of my wife and I'd Saturday morning routine. Then they had a bunch of labor issues, all the staff quit... the positive energy left the building. But the FINAL straw was when they replaced their amazing biscuit sandwiches with this pre-made monstrosity. It is not nearly as good and can't be modified (e.g., to make it vegetarian)

Yelp
Nice coffee shop in Marathon Village. Some nice read and drip coffees. Also some good flavored coffees. Marathon Village is a fun place to check out and the coffee sho0 is a great place to start.

Yelp
Good coffee, but their food is way overpriced now for what you get. I typically get the cold brew and burrito and while the burrito is very good, it's not worth it anymore for two specific reasons. 1) The amount of chorizo you receive is laughable. You could likely give it to someone and they would likely not know there was even meat in it if you didn't tell them. The amount of egg and cheese is generous, but it overtakes all of the other ingredients in the burrito, especially the chorizo 2) They recently increased prices and this burrito went from $8.50 to $11. What? How? Why? For the size and what you receive, it's definitely not worth $11. It looks like they increased the prices on most, if not all, of their food items by a few dollars each, so you're basically paying for slightly above average coffee and overpriced food within a good setting at this point.

Yelp
I just went in to grab some chocolates. I felt like I was bothering the lady that was working. She was not rude, but definitely not friendly. The chocolates were fine but nothing special and not worth the price. Parking is impossible, so you will probably want to plan for that.
google avatar

Mackenzie P.

Yelp
Loved my bourbon vanilla latte from here. It was very unique but not too sweet. I wish there were more food options but the coffee was excellent
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
I don't get the hype with this place and why their coffee is more expensive than other local Nashville coffee shops. I judge a place by their cold brew and theirs always punches you in the face with bitterness on the first sip. I only come here because it's located near my house, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get Barista Parlor. There are far better coffee shops to check out in Nashville.
google avatar

Karri S.

Yelp
It used to be an experience to go to barista parlor. The dedication to flavor and ambiance was palpable. Now it's about as average as it gets. Everything is served in disposable cups and all food comes out in a to go bag. Our biscuit sandwiches were average with a reheated sausage patty inside. I guess let bygone days be bygone? We won't be back.

Yelp
The girl who checked us out wasn't very friendly, which not everyone has to be super friendly, but still, for a job like this, don't act like your customers are an i convenience. I got a drip coffee and my friend got a coffee soda, the condiment station isn't really apparent at first, we had to ask where it was cause it blended in with so much of the other decor. Then we had to ask for sugar because the small cup they had out to hold packets of sugar was out, again not a big deal but asking them for sugar felt like we were asking for a big favor. Then we stood there next to the station waiting on my friends drink, and then waited and then waited some more, the 2 girls behind the counter were taking selfies and on their phones. We found a seat and waited. Thinking maybe it was actually something we had to get ourselves, but after finding out that it wasn't in the fridge case we asked the guy that had showed up behind the counter, I asked him, and he said "no we make it" and I was like "oh, we've been waiting, but it's okay" because I didn't want to be rude, well after sitting for a few minutes more and the couple behind us got their drinks my friend went up and asked where his drink was. It took them less than a minute to make, they said that it hadn't printed the ticket, but it's funny that immediately after we told them we hadn't gotten the drink she came over to the printer that was right next to where we were sitting, looked at it, discussed it with the other girl, so I'm pretty positive they simply just were more interested in their phones than doing their jobs.

Yelp
Great vibes!! Love love love this place! Great coffee, great baristas, great space! I had been here before, but decided to stop in for some caffeine before heading to Brooklyn Bowl for a concert. I got their seasonal winter drink-- Ginger Spice. I got an 8oz hot Ginger Spice latte for $6.50 and added 15ml of CBD for an extra $2.50. So tasty!! I am normally a black coffee drinker, but really enjoyed this drink! The workers were super nice. We were there until close and they gave us a free donut! Yummm!! Will be back when I can!
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
The coffee was just ok. We had a bagel-nothing special and was fine. You can see from the picture there are small heaters located above windows, either they didn't have them on or they weren't set to warm enough because it was cold.
google avatar

Shane S.

Yelp
This is a classic case of not keeping up with the competition. The coffee is good but because there are so many better options, it feels like BP has fallen off their game. Even the food is not as good as it was 2 to 3 years go. I used to crave their biscuits, now I go elsewhere. You can only live off a reputation for so long before people realize it. Great atmosphere and very nice staff, but there needs to be som innovation.

Yelp
It seems like every time I'm in Nashville I discover yet another Barista Parlor. This one, located in Germantown, is yet another gargantuan space with their infamous rectangular-shaped counter. One thing I get really excited about before entering Barista Parlor is seeing who they have playing on vinyl. Yep, they have a dope set up with lots of records on the shelves. This time, I got even luckier than I anticipated. Dinosaur Jr. and one of my personal favorites, Master of Reality by Black Sabbath. #PraiseIommi You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't order a biscuit sandwich. I'm not normally one to seek out biscuits. But hot damn, BP makes one of the finer ones I've had the pleasure of scarfing down. For my money, it's always a coffee shop I must visit when in Nashville. No wonder more locations are popping up by the minute!

Yelp
This place looks super cool. It's very spacious and I'm obsessed with the mid century design throughout. They have some motorcycles on display and cool merch for purchase. The coffee is great, solid pour overs and interesting lattes. As a bonus they play awesome music and just has an overall cool vibe to it.
google avatar

Anika R.

Yelp
If you're looking for an iced drink, then definitely check out the Whiskey Caramel. It's the best drink they have to offer. I've tried a few of the other drinks here but I was not a huge fan of them. All of their drinks are a little too pricy. I don't think I've ever spent less than $7 here on a drink. I've tried a few of the pastry items too and they were pretty good. They do run out pretty quickly so make sure you get there in the morning if you're looking to grab one.

Lara S.

Yelp
Ambiance was great, got a bagel sandwich and coffee and both were great. Coffee was strong and food was fresh :)
google avatar

Lily W.

Yelp
Updated to 4 stars, as my past few interactions with baristas have been really friendly. Unfortunately my boyfriend loves their bourbon caramel iced lattes (they are really good, can't blame him), so the mortgage fund is really getting depleted here. It's still a bit expensive for what I'd like to spend on a coffee, so I don't come here often unless I need a sweet treat.

Yelp
It is a cute place. We had 2 shots of espresso. It was good. Nice ppl working there. Parking is free for the first 90 minutes which is a big plus.

Yelp
I am not a hipster, but I do appreciate hipster coffee joints. Great coffee. Fantastic people watching. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I really enjoy working here during the week. The coffee is a little expensive, but I love the cold brew. Lots of space to set up a laptop and work or catch up with friends. I can usually always find a place to sit. The staff is friendly and quick to make your drink. Only complaint is the wifi sometimes does not work.

Melissa D.

Yelp
I've lived in Germantown for almost a year and finally broke down to go in here bc kept seeing their 10 yr anniversary posts. So much regret. Locals know the other two places close by are so much better.... I ordered the key lime pie croissant. When he handed me this I said "is this the key lime pie croissant?" He said yea. So I said "it looks like a cinnamon roll" and he says "yea that's just the way it looks" Y'all. I give people the benefit of the doubt so when I got home I unraveled it. This is a cinnamon roll. A dry barely cinnamon sprinkled hard ball of dough. There is nothing limey or croissant like about it. Considering I just spent $13 on a boring ice coffee and something inedible I'm thoroughly annoyed.
google avatar

Yelp
While incredibly convenient for me, I did not find anything too special about barista parlor. While they do have some unique coffee offerings I don't think the price and the quality quite align. Outside of the coffee I also tried the breakfast burrito, which was quite large but lacked any real flavor to make it stand out.
google avatar

Yelp
Most hipster coffee shop ever! And I live in Logan Square in Chicago so I know my hipster spots. Moving past the baristas with rolled up jeans showing an inch of skin and the wooden menu boards (this is the most amazing thing I've ever seen, by the way), Barista Parlor has some good offerings. When you walk in, it's a bit more pristine than I've ever seen a coffee shop. Amazingly high ceiling with tons of light flowing in. Every seat perfectly positioned and I even saw them adjusting seats as people got up to keep the instagrammable symmetry. Not gonna lie, I took a pic and posted it on Insta. It had to be done. Their drinks seem to change a bit with the seasons and they don't have a huge menu. But what they do have is really interesting! I enjoyed my latte quite a bit. Order at the register then they bring it out to you. They have a few locations around Nashville and I went to the location in Germantown. Lovely spot, great atmosphere and a bunch of great food & drinks.
google avatar

Garrett L.

Yelp
Typical coffee shop options. Great for socializing and quick bites. Not great for working remote (unless you love alternative music blaring in your ears). If you want some strong coffee, grab their cold brew! While Barista Parlor is a little on the expensive side, the food and coffee options are definitely worth it. Major warning - their burritos are massive and will put you to sleep! Inside you'll find a mix of young professionals and hipster-esque individuals socializing, and collaborating to loud alternative music. I've never had trouble finding a seat, as this place is spacious and massive. The natural lighting through the garage doors is relaxing and comforting.

Yelp
Sweet Jesus, their biscuits are amazing! I came here on a Saturday around lunchtime for a coffee and a light lunch. I ordered the iced Whiskey Caramel based on some Yelp reviews I'd read and I wasn't disappointed! I also ordered a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit, which stole the spotlight. The sausage was slightly spicy, the egg was cooked perfectly and the biscuit was fluffy and HUGE. It was so much more than I expected! The atmosphere is pretty cool--very open and airy and plenty of seating. It's deli-style ordering and the food comes out quickly. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely stop here!
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
The pour over was decent - light and airy, as it should be -- while the drip was standard. The best things about BP were the croissants and the atmosphere. I loved the open design of seating, plus the ambience.
google avatar

Nicolas F.

Yelp
Although they have good coffee, their food is pretty bad and not worth the money at all. Skip the food when you come here and get only coffee.
google avatar

Dan R.

Yelp
Very cool coffee shop, set up for high efficiency. Nice late. Baristas make you coffee but nothing very special. Maybe I was expecting too much. In my opinion I'm fair offering 3 stars for the coffee.
google avatar

Max R.

Yelp
Hey BP Germantown, we see you! Love the style of this space, as with the other locations, it's airy and bright, easy to be highly productive. These are all things you need to have a great coffee shop. This morning was our first time visiting this location, it's really nice. There was no line, so we popped up, Julia R ordered an iced oat milk latte, and I, a hot one. They were both delicious and beautiful in their presentation. We also were grabbing a bite for breakfast and decided on the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. These we weren't as impressed with. They aren't very balanced when it comes to the ratio. It feels like there were two eggs and a very small amount of cheese. Also, the sausage patty was small, but I was kinda happy about it because it was just kind of flavorless and not what I was expecting. The biscuit had a hard time holding it all together, which made it a little difficult to eat. Next time, I will probably just come for coffee, likely not food.
google avatar

Patrick G.

Yelp
Two words: WHISKEY CARAMEL! What better way to start the day than with a smooth iced coffee with a splash of whiskey. Go for it! Trust me. This coffee shop is very hip; one of the coolest I've seen. Prices are pretty high for a cup of joe. My friend spent $10 on his... But hey, at least it's good coffee. 5/5
google avatar

Sherrill T.

Yelp
4 words: iced whiskey caramel latte. This place is just as amazing as you've heard. It's the quintessential hipster hot spot and a great place to work and write. I worked remotely from this location one day and was hella productive. The coffee is delicious and the atmosphere is unique and inviting. The staff was super busy but were still really friendly! Customer service is a HUGE thing for me. A quick smile and "hey, how are you" goes a long way in determining who I give my money to. So, with that, the Germantown BP will be my coffee home until someone else steps up. The branding, the drinks, the instagram-ability (?) - all 10's. I get what the hype is all about.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Open area with cool vibes to work in. They have a cool coffee bar to sit at as well. My coffee was just okay; nothing special to me especially for the price of the coffee. Cool mural on the side of the building though and a nice barista helped us out!
google avatar

Liz V.

Yelp
I never understood people that would hang out for hours at a coffee shop until I went to Barista Parlor. The ambience alone is worth the drive for me from Franklin. A record playing Huey Lewis and the News plays over the loud speaker. Strangers talking to each other at the bar. Tall windows let in amazing light that showcases the coffee making equipment like museum lighting. There are 2 large garage doors that are open today and the breeze lulls you in to a coffee haze as you sip your beverage between deep sighs. I don't mean to get poetic but if you've been here, you get it. The barista's here take coffee seriously. There are 4 beakers reminiscent of a 7th grade Science project along the bar area making fresh drip coffee. I want to take one home so bad! I find myself often staring at them like an aquarium. Its mesmerizing yet so simple. I posted a pic but it doesn't do the 3 tier, glass, spiral, coffee joy ride justice. I am easily amused. To echo other reviewers, the staff isn't warm and fuzzy. Not that they need to be but if you catch eyes with one of them and smile, prepare yourself for a quick look away or for them to focus on your forehead. Let them save their 'smiling' energy on making amazing coffee. The menu boasts a daily drip. Hot or iced. Sweet coffees, lattes and an espresso with mineral water for fellow enthusiasts. They serve breakfast items so I've seen and apparently the biscuit is to die for. Maybe one day I'll try something other than the iced vanilla bourbon. Just kidding.
google avatar

Sarah-Bradley D.

Yelp
Super cool and open coffee shop. We got the mocha, whiskey caramel and vanilla iced lattes. All were really good (the mocha was literally dark chocolate milk) but the caramel was the favorite by far. The venue as I said is really open and quite. A good place to study or bring a book. They also have donuts on Saturdays and Sundays. Stop by the murals outside for a cute pic on your way in too.
google avatar

Katie G.

Yelp
Yeah... this place is legit. The coffee - absolutely delicious. Probably the best cup I've had this week. The food - Let me tell you about this biscuit. This biscuit is like a cloud and flour and butter had a baby. So light. So flaky. So buttery. Yum. The jam was a perfect complement. The burrito smelled amazing. I couldn't eat it because of the cheese, but my husband said it was to die for. The wooden plaques that they served the food on were adorable. Perfect for the biscuit. A little inconvenient for the burrito (lots of delicious grease leaking out of the burrito and dripping on to the table) Very good experience. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I have come to this location several times, pretty cool area and great coffee spot. However. Today's experience was unfortunate. After seeing that the kitchen wasn't open, like it hasn't been for months, I hopefully ordered a cold coffee. The woman ordering was pleasant, though at first she forgot to ring up my $22 bag of coffee. (fair warning, the bagged coffee is not worth it. but major props to whoever's idea it was to get isle of printing to do their designs and packaging. love to see that kind of art around. and if my buying a box of the coffee can in some way help out whoever designed the damn thing, I'll feel much more inclined to buy it again. but at a DIFFERENT location.) To make a short story even shorter I'll just say that the coffee me and my girlfriend and I had this morning was the worst cup of coffee I have ever had in my entire life, and I am not exaggerating at all. I work on a ranch and can honestly say I have smelled better fresh manure than this coffee tasted. And that's not because I like the smell of shit. For the sake of future costumers I hope someone there sees this review so they can make sure they don't do whatever they did to mess up this bad again. It wasn't the beans or my picky-ness, I'm not a picky guy and have eaten some nasty shit for the sake of culturing my white ass and, honestly, I have some weird tastes. It was literally something wrong with the coffee. My best guess is either the cold brew had been sitting for a few days and hadn't been replaced, or a barista had done something sinister to spite the yuppies and hipsters who frequent the joint. Unfortunately, you pranked someone who is neither and just wanted some coffee with his girlfriend. I'm not coming back to this location again.

Yelp
Came this morning before a meeting to get some work done, first impressions were great. Loved that they are open early, bonus points for the Harry Potter instrumental music! I got the bourbon Vanilla latte recommended by the barista, definitely a good latte but paying 6.25 was really tough for me, not sure if the price was justified. However, the open and relaxed atmosphere really stood out to me and made me feel comfortable to get a lot of work done

Lacey J.

Yelp
Horrible service. Waited for our coffee for 40 minutes and would have either left or cancelled if we knew. Really understaffed. Not only were the baristas inefficient and slow, they were also rude. All is well but would recommend people just not go, or at least set your expectations low!
google avatar

Travis T.

Yelp
Totally let down by my hipster pals at the B Parlor. No menu to view or learn about the beans prior to reaching the register when there's a never ending line. Told them we wanted to sit down and have the coffee here rather than to go. The latte then comes out in a paper cup when everyone else has a regular mug... My espresso comes out with a chip off the ol' block of chocolate and more importantly a chipped cup. Not to mention the coffee was not hot. Then to top it off my pallet cleanser had a dirty glass...
google avatar

Bianca B.

Yelp
Cool and relaxing ambiance. They treat their coffee like fine wine. They had pour over that had a taste a note of white grape/nectarine/ cinnamon. I like coffee shops that are super clean and treat their customers well. Favorite tea is the jasmine peach so smooth and subtle.
google avatar

Denise P.

Yelp
Okay, okay. Yes, it's pricey. Also, yes, I will be back! Barista Parlor takes hipster to another level AND the coffee is actually delicious. I don't fancy myself a coffee snob but I definitely can tell this isn't your bargain brand of beans they're roasting. The line was insane, because apparently Millenials like nothing more than waiting in long lines to buy expensive coffee, but I used the opportunity to scope out the decor details and people watch. I had the bourbon vanilla latte the first time I stopped in and an espresso the second time. That latte alone is worth the drive from Memphis to Nashville and I think I'm still recovering from the strength of the espresso -- no complaints!
google avatar

Fallon R.

Yelp
We loved this spot. With the understanding it's a craft coffee joint, we had a little more patience for the time it takes to assemble a delicious beverage. We both got the bourbon vanilla iced coffee and it was wonderful. Creamy, lots of vanilla and just the right level of sweet. The line was so long! It seemed to go relatively quickly. They had plenty of pastries still available at noon. The space was so pretty. Bright and airy. Loud music. Lots of people working on their computers or brunching with friends. They also had tons of fancy chocolate available for purchase. Some cool varieties I've never seen anywhere that offered CAMEL's MILK chocolate before! I wish I would have tried it, but just wasn't in the mood for dessert (for once in my life).

Kelly L.

Yelp
My latte was delicious, and the egg and cheese biscuit sandwich was incredible!! I've been thinking about this sandwich every day since I had it!
google avatar

Destiny T.

Yelp
Obnoxiously pretentious. I feel really sad for the community that surrounds this place because this coffee shop is such a huge cultural disruption. It's designed to make you feel like you shouldn't socialize and the service system is set up to make you feel like you're inconveniencing them by being there. I just spend $14 on a breakfast burrito that should be $4 tops. Don't ruin your mood going here
