When you're let go from a company the locations you frequent many many coffee shops.
These wonderful roasteries provide the perfect balance of professional attitude, casual attire, and passionate delivery to aid you in your job search.
I'm going to rate a bunch of coffee shops based on this metric and a few others and provide an overall rating for the experience.

*Coffee Review*
Baristart is a solid 4-star coffee venue ticking all the boxes! If you can handle the heat I suggest you sit outside at the slim table and enjoy the people watching in Tras Street which is an interesting distraction from your digital device ;)
Inside is a very slick 'n' slim modern coffee shop which buzzes with activity. You order at the counter, take a buzzer, then wait for your coffee order to be ready back at the counter. This actually helps to keep that area free of a queue clutter --- and why are we all standing around waiting anyways when we have our stupid friend Nancy's endless insta stories to catch up on? [Note to Nancy: No one cares about your ugly cat Minxy!]
If I come here to work I generally pick the spot at the high chairs, with the wall-garden, facing the front door. This maximises serenity and peripheral optics.
The coffee has some solid options (usually fruity or nutty for the single origin aficionado's) and I almost always opt for the dark nutty single origin varieties as I like a dark 'n' rich roast - always sans milk. Otherwise I'll just opt for a soy latte. It's a good coffee, and definitely one of the best in the area. Also a solid place to meet for an interview or 1-to-1, as the sharp-looking surroundings should suit the business formality.
NB: Tras Street itself has many shophouses which have a mixture of full-length French windows and half-length casement windows so you'll be taking photos.)
