Love the desserts here especially the puff! We ordered all the sweet treats: coffee, puff, banana cake, and mochi ice cream. I really love this place. Usually, I just grab the puff to go, but finally had the time to dine in and enjoy it properly today.

Google
Coffee was good. Matcha bit too watered down. When I got in, the server said there’s a 1 hour dining limit. 🤔 which was a little odd since there were only 2 other tables occupied. The ordering had to be done digitally which was fine, except there were 2 buttons to view the menu. A little misleading. “View menu” doesn’t allow ordering. Then why is that button there? 😅 The WiFi password is so small I had to squint my eyes to read it. And even with my reading glasses on, it was tough. I do however enjoyed the ambiance as they had some fusion jazz playing. And it was in a cozy setting.

Dropped by for dessert & drinks. Downtime ish with few tables occupied, order via the QR. Got the pistachio praline puff, it was good. They use ice cream from Messina. House lemonade was as a lemonade should be.. sour. Didn't feel like having something milky so went for sour instead, I think it was a good combo to offset the creaminess from the puff.

Google
It's latte's milk fragrance stronger than coffee. I know people who cannot have bitter coffee hence this is a nice latte for them. It's beef on omelette was really nicely done. Not measly think slices of wagyu beer (not sure what grade). Omelette was nice and smooth. Sourdough gets soggy too quickly with the avocado spread. Service I rate 3 for now - warning about its toilet for ladies, the toilet seat has someone's pee on it. It was around 930am. Do your half squats or anything necessary.

Perfect place for a lunch. Can get crowded especially Sunday afternoon, so they have a function to join the wait list before you arrive, which can be quite useful. Coffee is really good and the food is tasty. You can order all the items using the QR code. The items are coming in no specific order, you might receive your food dishes before you get your coffee sometimes. We really enjoyed milk aged wagyu bowl and crab pasta.

We had wanted to try Barisart for a while now. We had seen people waiting outside the cafe on numerous occasions. You can get on the wait-list when you are near the restaurant to get ahead of the line. We came on a Saturday morning about 30-mins after opening and there were about 2-3 tables occupied. We were seated quickly and scanned the QR code to order. I went for the Steak & Eggs and my fiancée the Eggs Benedict. We ordered the Hokkaido Creampuff to share after our meal. For drinks I had the usual Americano and my fiancée ordered the Chocolate Glace which turns out to be delicious. Best chocolate we had tasted so far. It's the milk they use.. BIEI Jersey milk. The steak is well prepared.. slice of Sourdough smeared with Avocado Salsa and layered by Scrambled Egg and Grilled Wagyu Beef Flank. Just simply tasty. French Toast Eggs Benedict with Guacamole, Tarragon Hollandaise Sauce, Pink Peppercorn, Arugula, Romanesco, Cherry Tomatoes, Karashi Dressing... yummy. Food served promptly and we are left to enjoy without disruption. You can get drinking water from the dispenser at the counter. After the meal.. time for our dessert.. Hokkaido Cream Puff and that thing is huge. The cream ooze our when you cut it and the texture is so smooth. Not too sweet.. just hit the right spot. The skin is crispy which makes the whole eating process just enjoyable. We will certainly be back real soon.

Google
Came for the cream puffs and they didn’t disappoint at all! They were stuffed upon order so no soggy cream puffs here. The Hokkaido cream filling was truly spot on. Portion is best for sharing as their cream puffs are humongous. Their coffee was of course delicious and paired well with the cream puffs. Service was great too, was seated right away upon coming in the cafe.

Google
I love their cream puff, one of the best. Service however was very disappointing with part-timers who were indifferent and inattentive. No initiative either, we had to stand up and ask for utensils when the cream puff came and the service staff did not provide. Service is not just about putting down the plate of food onto the table.

Yelp
Our Singaporean friends highly recommended this place for its Hokkaido cream puff. We visited on Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. The small cafe was full but we managed to get a table. - Hokkaido cream puff: heavenly DELICIOUS! The crust was super crispy. The star was the filling - YUMMMM! The cream was super creamy, milky & smooth. - Shiro Kuma shaved ice with strawberry syrup: it was a cute treat to beat hot Singaporean weather. Yes, it was pretty pricey for a shaved ice but I could taste that the syrup was truly homemade. The strawberry syrup was more like fresh thick strawberry puree - it was the perfect sweetness that complements the vanilla ice cream & the fresh fruits very well. I wish they gave more of the fresh fruits. I would come back for the cream puffs alone the next time I visited Singapore.

Yelp
*Coffee Snob Intro* When you're let go from a company the locations you frequent many many coffee shops. These wonderful roasteries provide the perfect balance of professional attitude, casual attire, and passionate delivery to aid you in your job search. I'm going to rate a bunch of coffee shops based on this metric and a few others and provide an overall rating for the experience. ---------------------------------- OVERALL: 4 stars Ambience: 4 Coffee: 4 Food: N/A (did not try) Meeting Place: 4 Working Space: 4 ---------------------------------- *Coffee Review* Baristart is a solid 4-star coffee venue ticking all the boxes! If you can handle the heat I suggest you sit outside at the slim table and enjoy the people watching in Tras Street which is an interesting distraction from your digital device ;) Inside is a very slick 'n' slim modern coffee shop which buzzes with activity. You order at the counter, take a buzzer, then wait for your coffee order to be ready back at the counter. This actually helps to keep that area free of a queue clutter --- and why are we all standing around waiting anyways when we have our stupid friend Nancy's endless insta stories to catch up on? [Note to Nancy: No one cares about your ugly cat Minxy!] If I come here to work I generally pick the spot at the high chairs, with the wall-garden, facing the front door. This maximises serenity and peripheral optics. The coffee has some solid options (usually fruity or nutty for the single origin aficionado's) and I almost always opt for the dark nutty single origin varieties as I like a dark 'n' rich roast - always sans milk. Otherwise I'll just opt for a soy latte. It's a good coffee, and definitely one of the best in the area. Also a solid place to meet for an interview or 1-to-1, as the sharp-looking surroundings should suit the business formality. NB: Tras Street itself has many shophouses which have a mixture of full-length French windows and half-length casement windows so you'll be taking photos.)

Yelp
They are known for giant puff pastry, with a lot of custard in it. I haven't really gone there in such a long time, but seems like it's a good place to try it out.

Yelp
Hipster coffee shop known in Japan for their amazing latte art. They make everything from Hokkaido cows milk which is flown in. I was more impressed by their variety of coffee beans to be honest. The costa rican and ethiopian ones were stellar. Their affogato, well lets say its not like you're italian one, way way more ice cream, and not gelato, its a soft serve made from the aforementioned cow's milk. I'm not saying its not good, but its a affogato just in a manner of speech, I'd more call it soft serve with espresso! They have decent food options too, but its all about the coffee and milk!

Yelp
5 stars for the cream puff; it was so good, we went back the very next day for more. The expresso drinks were good, but the Hokkaido milk shines in the cream puff and less so in the coffee drinks (don't know about the tea-based drinks). Service was warm & professional. Barista is indeed an artist, check out that rose! They are sticklers about opening time, please respect that - don't enter before even if the door is unlocked & open; if the sign says closed, they're closed.

Yelp
We are yelp elites from the San Francisco area so our love is made around hipster coffee shops and this place nailed it! The decor is so cute on the inside and there is plenty of seating and outlets for anyone wanting to study. The coffees are simple but very delicious. I wanted to go back everyday if I could i got the iced vanilla coffee!

Yelp
Cute atmosphere (wishing there were more flexible seating options) but I brought my mom there for mother's day and the desserts were quite tasty. The latte art was adorable and the staffs were very friendly!

Yelp
Very good. Order poodle dessert. Hokkaido milk drink is good. Quick service. Good ambiance
