My husband and I adopted Titan now Hank from Barking Dog Farm Rescue. We are so grateful we found this rescue. We instantly fell in love. Hank is literally the kindest, gentlest, most loving, sweetest, silliest, goofiest, happinesses dog we’ve ever met and we have both met lots of dogs in our life. He loves people more than anything. When we take him out he goes up to every stranger to say hi, he doesn’t have an aggressive or mean bone in his body. We feel so lucky to be able to have him in our lives! If we ever have the opportunity to adopt another dog this will be the place we go.

I love Leslie and Barking Dog Farm. We rescued Luci Lou f/k/a Cassie. She is the sweetest, softest and smart for 3 mos. Her ice blue eyes make your heart melt. Thank you so much Leslie for helping us with Luci Lou.

Just rescued our pup from these guys the other day. Everyone we talked too was super helpful and supportive. They even helped us find a good match. I see some comments about people being denied for no reason. I don't under the anger. These people are trying to make sure these disadvantaged dogs are free finding good and secure homes with access to proper medical care. Any perceived strictness in requirements is purely for the dog's well-being. Anyway, we were super happy to work with them and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new furry family member

Fantastic rescue! Very caring and responsible. Super responsive to inquiries and mindful about matching the right dog with the right family. I will continue to adopt from this rescue and support them in any way that I can. My only regret is that I live a little too far away to volunteer for their pack walks.

Don’t bother if you don’t have a fenced in yard ! I have a 14 acre vt Farm and that’s what great Pyrenees love and respond to. Would you rather I have a tiny apartment with a fenced in yard? Our dogs go on hikes and work with my husband outside. A dog cannot have a better life! You are the most judgmental dog person I have encountered. that’s too bad…

Amazing rescue! Leslie clearly cares about the dogs. We’ve adopted two wonderful fur babies from her and love them !

We were scolded and treated like garbage when owner learned that we had to put down our last dog in his 15th year due to serious health decline. I recently commented on a Facebook post of theirs listing the dog we tried to adopt as still not in a home. I said he was an amazing dog and I couldn't believe he hadn't found a home yet. I was blocked from the page.. Owner is more about using the dogs for donations rather than doing what's best for the animals. There's much better places out there that need help, I'd recommend skipping this place. Edit: In their response below they claim I was leaving negative comments. This is a false statement, I commented that we were denied for this dog but he was an amazing dog that shouldn't have any trouble finding a home. We couldn't provide vet records because the dog was put down ten years ago and the vet did not have records that far back. It is perfectly legal to humanly euthanize a dog in Vermont in the manner we had. I explained the reasons for what was done and expressed how much that animal meant to me. Again, there are many quality rescues out there with proper accommodations for the pets in their care. I am simply letting people know that this particular one is less than stellar.

We rescued our dog Molly (formerly Marin) when she was 8 months old. Molly lived up to be 10 years old and because of barking dog, we have fallen in love with the breed.
