This venue small and intimate. The chairs stadium chairs are very close to your friends. The lighting is great. They offer prepackaged beverages, including Capri Sun. The staff were very friendly. The parking is tight, arrive early or you may have to walk from extra parking areas.

Intimate performance space. Raised seating so good visibility to the stage. An eclectic mix of music, dance, theatre, and performance art. Highly recommend!!

Smaller venue with three sections of about 5 rows. Very intimate place where you can get very close to the artists. Love the cool legs on the exterior of the top of the building.Very reasonable ticket prices. I saw a blues/rock show here, but they also have poetry and other kinds of shows regularly. A definite asset to this part of the community.

Over 25 years ..the best entertainment in town..hands down.Almost 30 years now. Update...Last evening performance was powerful, and astounding. Better than Greenwich Village.

We were visiting Chattanooga and stumbled upon Barking Legs as we were planning our trip. We went to a Bluegrass performance last night and overall it was awesome. The performers were fantastic and it's a fun, intimate space. Be prepared for old seats, which isn't too big a deal. Staff I interacted with were very nice. Only observations (wouldn't even call them complaints): 1. We bought tickets online, in advance, as out of towners and there was no explanation or indication of how to get tickets or get in. When my dad inquired he got a bit of a rude response that seemed to assume we understood how this system would work. Turns out we were on a handwritten piece of paper. This all could have been mitigated if at the time of transaction there was a message that said: you'll be on the list at the door. 2. No one from the theater introduced the performers, which would have helped some awkward intros from the artists. They also started about 15 minutes late. But it's a great place and very worth supporting.

Yelp
This spot is so cool. It's unique and quirky and is just what is needed for local artists and performers. Low key and unpretentious, it's roomy and there's not a bad seat in the house. I've seen Improv shows, jazz shows, and everything in between. It's so great to support a local place that gives people a chance to show off their talents.

Yelp
What a cool joint doing great work in the community. I love the intimate space and great murals in the restrooms. I'll be on the look for more performances and events at Barking Legs.

Yelp
This theater might sit 100 people like the other reviewer says. I was here for the first time last night. I never heard of Barking Legs Theater. The show here was kind a like a play if you ask me complete with 4 actors and 4 actresses and even a piano player. It lasted for about an hour and a half. It was funny with some skits that even made you laugh. They probably had 4 or 5 skits and each was ended simply by someone running around the stage. Then, they would act out a different scene. I guess this is the improv way. They have a web site where you can check their schedule for upcoming events. Yeah, I would go back again, you bet.

Yelp
Excellent lounge for jazz! Wednesday night I rolled up, ordered wine, and found my way to the front row-up close and personal with the talented musicians. Alan Wyatt' group didn't disappoint! Was super chill & authentic old jazz. In fact the whole ambiance had a beatnik gen vibe I was really digging on. I can't wait to check out Friday nights performance art. Thank you Barking Legs!

Yelp
They have one of the best roomy stages for these amateur bands. Had fun one we got past the Turkish man in charge of taking our cover charge!! He gave us a 15 to 20 min speech about how he hated trump!! I will never go back!!!

Yelp
I attended a Yelp improv event here. This is a very neat little neighborhood theater. When you enter the building, there is a bar area with some interesting artwork on the walls. It looked like they stock many different brews and wine. I loved the huge jade plants they have in the front windows! The theater room is small, but seats a good number of people. They have random performances throughout the week and I hope to come back and see more local talent. Kudos to this theater for keeping a home for local artists to perform in!

Yelp
Had a bunch of laughs at the expense of a few yelp reviews filled with mispronounced annunciation or double innuendos. The place isn't something you won just not stop at but because of the yelp invite we stopped in and glad we did. Sometimes they day laughter is the best medicine. Tonight having to deal with a serious family illness taking a few hours for laughter was worth it..

Yelp
I must have driven by this place a million times but never really noticed it. Apparently it's been a Chattanooga landmark for local thespians, musicians, and other performers for 25 years. My wife and I attended the Improv Yelp Event last night with several fellow Yelpers. I'm glad we did as I probably would never have gone by myself. Wow what a treat! The performers used several Yelp reviews as the basis for their skits (i.e., in real time being improvisations). They poked fun at some of the misspellings, improper use of words, and just general humorous situations. It was great for an evening of laughs. I applaud these people as you can see the passion they have for the art rather than the dollars. Although I'm sure they wouldn't mind modest donations being a nonprofit organization. Thanks to Stephanie our local Yelp ambassador and the folks at Barking Legs. Loved it!

Yelp
A very nice venue that probably seats 100. The lobby is large and inviting and they have private parking. I love local theater. We came for a Yelp Improv event but I was very excited to hear about their Wednesday Night Jazz events. We will be back pretty often.

Yelp
Came here for Yelp show, the acts were funny and we had a good time. They are nonprofit organization and 25 years of local art history :). It defiantly was nice to be part of the local place and culture. We'll be back!
