"If the shopping adventures in store this holiday season find you at the Grandscape, stop into this spot for a Cuban sandwich or a chicken and goat cheese salad. Try the shrimp and grits or vegan risotto for a more substantial bite." - Courtney E. Smith

The atmosphere and service were really good here. It’s definitely a spot to just relax and snack. We had dinner but unfortunately, while the food presentation looked great, it didn’t taste very good. It was quite bland and seemed to lack any herbs, salt, or flavor with the exception of the sweet potato hummus which was pretty tasty. In reading some other reviews, that may just be the way they serve their foods, but it’s not really our cup of tea.

Whoever was in charge of the music today was on fire. Maybe it’s just the pop punk lover in me, but it was very very enjoyable. I ordered four things on my charcuterie board, thinking the portions would be small and I would need it. I was wrong! Three things on the board would have been enough. Not that I’m complaining! Everything was great! My server was also my bartender. If you get Daniel, you’re in for a treat! I ordered a burnt vanilla sugar old fashioned and the expressway. I’m not normally a huge old fashioned fan, but it was just sweet enough to be perfect. The expressway, however, was right up my alley! Both were fantastic. I ended up having to order dessert to make sure I could drive myself home. The bread pudding is also a very good portion size. TLDR: great place for a date with a partner or yourself!

We've been to this place a few times and each time is just as good as the last. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Which means that even when it's packed on a weekend we rarely, if ever, have a wait time. Staff are always friendly. Happy hour drink specials during the week are great - we recommend the Smash drink with rum and blueberries (pictured) and the b&b burger (pictured without cheese)

This was our first visit to this location, but we are regular guests of the Denton location. We came specifically for the sweet pig, angrier bird that is no longer on Dentons menu. It was totally worth the trip! This location feels bigger, brighter, and for us, now has the more appealing menu. We were there about 3p today on a Saturday. It wasn’t too busy, and we were seated in a booth in the bar section. Our server was led a bartender. My partner ordered a beer flight to start. The pours were rather large for a flight so off to a great start! While they were initially out of his top choice for tasting, the bartender both brought him a substitute but also found another keg in the back so made up for it in two ways. We decided on the fried oyster mushrooms that aer served with a truffle mustard aioli for an appetizer. If this sounds good, it’s because it is spectacular! The breading was not too heavy, it’s not the corn meal grained kind of breading, it’s more like a light onion ring breading. And the aioli mustard complimented the mushrooms well. The portion was huge! To the point we had enough to bring home for another snack! I ordered the pork tenderloin, which I’ve had before, and have a hard time ordering anything else now because it’s just so good. You get about 7 pieces of thick cut pork rubbed in coffee(?) but it’s not overpowering. The flavors compliment each other nicely and the pork is tender. I don’t eat a lot of pork anymore, but this dish is worth it. The pork is served on top of street corn and has a few fried onions on top. I literally ate every bite. It could’ve easily been two meals, but it just tastes so good, I couldn’t put my fork down. My partner ordered the dish he’s been waiting for four years to eat again lol sweet pig, angrier bird. It’s served on a wooden cutting board as two fried quails and a half rack of ribs. The sweet and spicy compliment each other nicely. He brought half of it home , and still left full. When I asked him how he would describe the meal, his exact words were “freakin awesome” - followed by at least 5 more minutes of words to convince you that this is the only dish you should order. Our server was attentive, the food was wonderful, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we loved the 90s music they were playing. We will definitely be back to try something new and stick with old favorites! Thank you for a wonderful experience on a hot saturday afternoon.

Google
Thoroughly enjoyable experience overall. We were sat quickly, and the service was prompt. They were understaffed tonight but made it work without any issues at all. The manager came to our table to explain the situation, offered condolences, and was extremely sympathetic to the situation we, as the customer, would experience. Even with the extra wait, we did not experience any serious issues or delays with our service. All of the food came at the correct temperature, was generously portioned compared to the price, and was absolutely delicious. I would have to say that my only concern with anything at all tonight had more to do with the menu. I am autistic (extremely literal), and the way the "Board" is explained on the menu is very inaccurate. The menu makes it seem as though you are spending 30 dollars on 3 things for the board. Because of this, I did not order a board for myself. My friend who was dining with us tonight did, however, order one. I was surprised to see how much actually comes on the board. It is almost a meal for two by itself!!! Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed as I would have 110% gotten a board had I known how awesome it would have been! All in all, the management effectively communicated with us, the servers were kind and professional, the food delicious, and the portions grand. I'm definitely coming back to get a board of my own!

My husband and I had received a gift card for The Colony location, and we decided to try it out.  When a friend asked how we liked Barley & Board, I said, "good but not great."  The restaurant itself is gorgeous and looks super festive for the holidays.  I wondered if the shiplap walls look naked when they aren't adorned with colorful wreaths. We found the board menu confusing and opted for more traditional entrees.  The food was reasonably priced for the quality. However, the drinks were definitely overpriced.  $8+ for a pint is excessive...especially when there are many dining options to choose from at Grandscape. The dining experience was a little more leisurely than we would have liked, and our server explained that our appetizer was accidentally given to another table.  She did comp us with delicious cookies on our way out, so that was much appreciated.

Google
The best part is definitely the location and atmosphere. On the food, it has more interesting combinations than normal. The meal size and price are good (all main courses ranging from $20-$40), and some options can be shared easily, like the ribs and quail that we ordered. About the service, we had mixed experience - the host was not in the mood and didn't want to help us staying in outdoor table (we managed to get after requesting the to the other host). Server was quite nice, always smiling and patience to attend all our asks.

Google
AMAZING happy hour drink specials!! Crafted cocktails, incredibly constructed. Delicious! Meat and cheese board...good selections. The cookie board was the perfect final touch! A bit of a lag in service, but a very enjoyable time! Enjoying 1 bite, 1 sip and 1 small town at a time!! Explore Everything!

Yelp
My wife and I went to Barley & Board at Grandscape and had the best time! What really made our time enjoyable was our fantastic waitress Ella. She gave us all the great tips on what boards to order and explained everything step by step. They were super busy the day we came in but Ella made sure she checked on us any second she got. Ella delivered our food and drink In a very timely manner despite how busy the restaurant was. Ella gets a 10/10 we will definitely be back and hope to have her as our waitress next time!!! Yelp
What we got: Masa gnocchi, market steak, and B&B burger. Gnocchi isn't traditional, it was more of tater tots, however it was very delicious and the grilled chicken I added was grilled beautifully and wasn't dry. Market steak and burger was said to be pretty standard, but tasted good. Fries were extremely good fresh, but good very hard towards the end of the meal. Atmosphere: Stunning - high ceilings, themed decor, and clean. My only complaint is that the floors felt a bit greasy and I was kinda sliding around walking to our table Service: Girl was very sweet and friendly, but not as attentive as we were hoping.

Andrew W.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I went here for Easter. The restaurant looks very nice and was decently busy. We ordered the burger, I believe she got the gnocchi, and we got blue cheese chips as an appetizer. The burger was not very good. It was a frozen patty which if I'd have known I would not have ordered. My girlfriend's gnocchi was good not great. Later that night I started throwing up and long story short I got food poisoning. I called the restaurant to let them know and left a couple voicemails so that they wouldn't still serve the food. Nobody ever picked up and nobody ever returned my calls. Would not recommend and won't go back.

Tara L.

Yelp
Large space with lots of tables. Rowan our server was absolutely amazing and attentive. I had the steak salad, and even though the steak was overcooked from my requested medium, it was still a pretty moist cut. Delicious salad otherwise.

Samantha B.

Yelp
If you're looking for a slightly upscale yet still casual meal, check out Barley & Board. We stopped by for lunch on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. Service was super friendly and attentive. We ordered a customized board, flatbread pizza, and fried mushrooms. Everything was delicious and pretty reasonably priced for the quality. It would make for a great date night, especially if you go see a movie or go play mini golf nearby.

Lam B.

Yelp
I didn't order the food so I'm unsure of the names of the dishes. We ordered a Charcuterie Board and the cured meats, cheese, bread, jam, and honey were all good. The Chicken Sandwich was pretty good as well, but we did not care for the Pastor. It didn't taste or look like Pastor. I did not like the Bread Pudding because it was extremely dense and too dry. I are up the ice cream, though. Drinks were delightful and server was a hoot.

Yelp
This place is kind of hard to find. Park by PF Changs and keep walking around the corner. It took us a minute. Inside is nice. Our waiter was very sweet. Great cheese board. That was the best part of lunch. The salmon was fine. A bit dry. Good option when you are at Grandscape and want an escape,

Brandi A.

Yelp
Great service, huge portions, limited menu. Felt a little fancy for the location. Seemed like the inside and patio were two very different environments rather than tied together. The portions were great, but came with a big price tag and the board options felt very limited considering it's known for boards?! Server was really well versed and gave great options for entree selection. Wasteful because you cannot finish the plate. Would prefer they charge less and give you a bit less.

Tara M.

Yelp
Great place to eat and chill. The portions were big. Definitely shareable. The Oyster mushrooms were cooled perfectly. The batter had a good flavor. The aioli was good . We preferred hot sauce to cut some of the richness. The wagyu melt was yummy. The bread was good. Just a little too much for me. The bleu cheese chips were good. You really have to like bleu cheese. The whiskey sour was made with egg whites and bitters. You don't always see that. Everyone was friendly. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Shamia B.

Yelp
I always enjoy this establishment. The Happy Hour menu is spectacular. The staff is nice. They have a great outdoor patio with great views.

Yelp
I am loving this new up and coming area in the colony called Grandscapade. They are still adding/building new stores/restaurants. We decided to try this place last night: Barley and Board. This restaurant is near the entrance and easy to spot once you are there. Inside has that look of modern/industrial/hipster local bar/restaurant. The service was good. Our waiter was very friendly and brought everything the way we wanted it even though he didn't write it down. Lol. We had to wait a bit too long for the food which was strange because the place was not full. But other than that everything was good. We tried the Al pastor small plate. Seasoned pieces of pork, pita bread, lime crema, jalapeño/onions and lime. We loved this small plate. The bites were a mix of different flavors that matched perfectly in your mouth. The kids menu/food was very tasty/flavorful- my little one had mac and cheese and nuggets/fruits. Everything was good enough for any adult to eat. We shared the crispy chicken sandwich with waffle fries. It was good. Not out of this world but decent and it was crunchy which I enjoyed. The waffle fries were not that good though- too greasy? The prices were reasonable especially for that area. Definitely check this place out. Next time I would like to do one of their boards and see if they are good since its on the name :-)

Adalena G.

Yelp
We loved this restaurant! The Cuban sandwich was delicious and I'm of cuban decent so I definitely know a good one! The cider I had was delicious! I loved the kids meals coming on the boards and the kids really enjoyed them. The service was great and the ambiance even better because of the location! We really enjoyed it!

Tee J.

Yelp
Met a friend here today. It's a nice spot. The menu is pretty unique. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and my friend had the grilled steak ensalada. She loved it. The chicken sandwich was also good. It came with homemade potato chips. For drinks we shared the mimosa board. You get to chose 4 flavors. Loved it. Our server, Ella, was superb.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Delicious food, and great customer service! Chef Lonnie stopped by our table and was so nice and personable. I was nice to see the man behind the dishes. Delicious food with great customer service is hard to find these days, but Barely and Board and Chef Lonnie delivered! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This is a beautiful spot with a fantastic menu. In comparison to other nearby spots it was almost empty and, in hindsight, it's not difficult to see why. We had a party of 6. We were seated at a gigantic 6-top wood table near the back of the restaurant. The table itself made conversation awkward. There were grooves in the top of the table filled with particles of previous patrons. After ordering it took approx 45 minutes for 4 out of our group to get their food and an additional 15 for the other two. No communication regarding the delay occurred. The 4 meals were dropped off and then the staff left. At just about the exact moment we were getting up to go find our server, the other two entrees arrived. We were told that they were waiting on fries to be cooked. I ordered a burger minus the bun. That was my entire order. Pretty simple. What arrived was two very overcooked and dried out burger patties with onions and processed cheese on them and a plate full of "fries" that looked like they had just been dumped out of a can. Again, food was dropped and servers disappeared. My husband immediately got up to go search for our server and tell her of the dilemma. More silence ensued. Several minutes later and apparent manager came over to notify me that they were remaking my meal and that there would be no charge. The replacement was appropriate and in line with what I had ordered. 5-ish minutes later our server re-emerges apologetic. This was not the only error of our meal but it took so long for it to arrive that it was simply adjusted as we were able and eaten. Everyone was so hungry. I have no idea what is going on in this establishment but this was disappointing and I will choose to dine at a different establishment in the future. Considering the experience as a whole, service, attention to detail, and overall quality are just not in line with the financial compensation charged.

Yelp
The ambience is great! Open and family style seating. The location is superb because GRANDSCAPE! The service was superb. Our hostess and waiter were both polite and informative. The food on the other hand was quite salty. Idk if it was the batter that was used that day for the chicken and the mushrooms but it was very very salty. You can tell the mushrooms are a hit. I enjoyed them despite the saltiness. The chicken sandwich I ordered, i was not a fan of. Apart from the saltiness , the flavors were just not for me. I tried a new stout and it was so chocolatey and YUM! I'd go again for the mushrooms, beer and maybe try a flatbread or sum

Desiree M.

Yelp
My husband and I did a random day date. We decided to try this place out and much to our surprise it was amazing! We had a cheese board and a flight of beers to try. Our waiter recommend everyone and he didn't disappoint. He asked what we liked normally and gave amazing recommendations based on that. Our favorite is called "The Peace Keeper" anyhow everything was amazing from the staff to the ambiance/vibes, the fresh food, the cold beers. AMAZING! I'd come again with friends or another day date! Totally worth giving a try!

Kikue H.

Yelp
They're known for their charcuterie board and rightfully so. Not only was my board beautifully arranged all the ingredients were incredibly (like really, really, really) fresh and they flavors balanced each other out perfectly. The nuts and fruit provided the right amount of sweetness to balance the salty meats and cheeses while the slaw and pickles added a great pop of acidity. The service was really standout. I had never been before and my server Bao was more than willing to explain the menu options and offer some of his favorites to help me make my decisions. There weren't many people (Monday evening around 6pm) so he checked up on me often to make sure everything was going well. Overall really friendly and made the meal a lot better, especially since I was dining alone. The aesthetic of the interior is very rustic, farmhouse vibes with lots of natural light which is great for photos (perfect for a date night). My only beef is with the pricing -- quite expensive for my taste but one board is rich enough for two so I'll get over it!

Jackie C.

Yelp
Barley & Board is located inside Grandscape, next to the big arcade and across from the movie theaters. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. Known for their delicious charcuterie boards, we knew we had to build our own board. There's a bunch of different options to choose from but we went with the 3 meats & 3 cheeses board. Every board comes with pickled veggies, nuts and chocolate chips. The meats that we chose were coppa plancentina, salami and wagyu pastrami. The cheeses we chose were manchego, gouda and la tur. We loved all of those options. For dessert, they have a cookie board where you can choose from 3-6 cookies. I would recommend this place to other people.

Gabrielle H.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant in the giant Grandscape complex. Positioned right across from the theater, close to the Ferris Wheel. Great Gastropub atmosphere, music just a tad too loud but not terrible, tunes were good tho. Had appetizer, fried oyster mushrooms, have never seen them on any menu before and they were great!! Hubs had a burger that came with a generous order of shoe string fries. He said the burger was cooked well and had a great flavor. He also had tomato soup, that was his fav. I had the lacy salad. The dressing was great, I topped it with a good tuna steak. Would like to have seen more nuts and cranberries on the salad, but what those included were tasty. It's a good price. Appetizer with two entrees was $68 for the two of us, so not terrible. Would be a nice view at night I bet it'd you sit on the side by the Ferris Wheel. We were there around 330pm so an off time, wasn't busy. Can't say if it is at night. Great decor, plenty of seating. Friendly staff! That entire Grandscape campus is awesome!

Eva D.

Yelp
Probably the best meal I had while in the area. I had the steak salad and it was just what my soul needed. It was fresh, tasty, and the steak was perfect. Then I had a bite of my friend's pastrami (I believe) sandwich and I wanted to reassess my options. That sandwich was to die for! Our girls had turkey sandwiches, which were perfectly portioned. They had great feedback for those. Mimosas were good but warm. That kind of ruined the quality of them for me. Who drinks warm mimosas? Service was excellent and the ambience was perfect. The restaurant was not crowded at all. All in all, great place to grab a meal!

Jim N.

Yelp
Great food, service and atmosphere. Really love this place. Great Cuban sandwich and roasted chicken.

Yelena S.

Yelp
I have been here a few times and never a disappointment. The interior has a cool lay out and love the decor/vibes of the place. Their appetizers, dishes, and drinks are very unique. This time I went with some friends and the food we got was good, relaxing atmosphere, not too busy for a Friday, and our server was very sweet.

Kimberly B.

Yelp
All the food was wonderful. The pastrami is succulent and flavorful. The salads fresh and perfectly dressed. Parking is challenging at best.

Justin C.

Yelp
Great place to go eat. Love the cheese/meat board. Love the whole Grandscape vibe. Service was spot on.

Yelp
The food is good. In my experience, the glasses they served for pouring mimosa were not clean. We decided to sit outdoors, and wanted the fan above us to be turned on. Not sure why the person who ushered us in said he'll turn it on and the server said it's never allowed to turn the fan on. It's a beautiful looking restaurant, fab view with good food menu and a good restaurant manager. I just thought if the people ushering and serving could be nicer...

Pardis S.

Yelp
A cute place in the Grandscapes! Inside was an upscale restaurant with tons of availability for a Friday night. I came here with some friends to grab dinner and drinks, and was pleasantly surprised with the drinks! I ordered an espresso martini, and then a bubbly rosey champagne. The espresso martini was a 10/10 as it was not bitter at all, had a great balance of espresso and vodka, and was a decent price. The champagne was also delicious, but next time I am ordering the espresso martini again. For dinner, I picked the chicken sandwich as was underwhelmed with the burger. I was not expecting the chicken to be as fried as it was, it was so incredibly fried that it was very darkened. The sandwich fell apart as I ate pieces of the sandwich, which I did not enjoy. On the plus side, it came with pretty average waffle fries. Over thirty minutes they hardened and surpassed the ideal crunchiness that I like french fries. My friend ordered a BBQ chicken flatbread which looked delicious, I wish I ordered that dish! I believe in this scenario that I just ordered the wrong item for me, I believe that they have good food as my friends seemed to enjoy their food much more. I was rushed when ordering so I could not find photos of the food before ordering and expected a different kind of chicken sandwich. Would come again to try the charcuterie board!

J D.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Build a board was awesome as were the hamburgers and pastrami melts.

Michelle D.

Yelp
I dined here for lunch and was pleased with what I ordered. I got the al pastor pork and it was as delicious. Chef Lonnie even came out to make sure we enjoyed it. The staff was incredibly hospitable. The drinks were great also. I will be back.

Ashley H.

Yelp
Made a reservation for five and we're seated immediately upon arrival. I think they were short staffed, so service was a little lagging, and we actually saw people come in and then leave because they weren't served at the bar... but I will say the staff was absolutely hustling. I only saw two servers for the entire restaurant, the bartender left to serve tables, and the hostess was bussing tables as well. We started with a charcuterie board to share and would highly recommend. The small size was fine for five people. Overall the food was good. Not to die for, but enjoyable and I took home my leftovers. The chicken was actually sweet- I want to say the skin was coated in brown sugar. Two people in my party got the shrimp and grits and they both cleared their plates. A neat set up with a large patio. Would come here again!

David B.

Yelp
First time here and was impressed with he food. Overall, happy with our dinner. Food and wine was good. I had the pork tenderloin and it was seasoned well. Tasted great. Server was very friendly and welcoming, was very enjoyable, when she made it by. I think we were out of her sight since drinks often were not refilled in timely manner. That was my only complaint. Nephew had the steak and fries. Very small portion of meat for the price. The fries were piled on bit the steak was pretty small, he was hungry after eating it very quickly. The ambiance was pretty noisy. We were sear Ted at a large hexagon table and it was hard to visit with people across the table with the noise level. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and will try again.

Lily F.

Yelp
We came during Labor Day weekend so I'm pretty sure that was the reasoning behind the madness. Even so, our waiter was incredibly friendly and tried to attend to us any chance he could. We just wanted a quick lunch and decided to split the chicken with goat cheese salad and the wagyu pastrami sandwich. One thing that definitely gave this place brownie points was that our food actually came out split with each of us getting our half of the order. Love that. The salad was perfectly dressed and paired really nicely with the ultra rich and decadent pastrami sandwich. If you're into big, messy sandwiches, you have to try their pastrami sandwich. Cheesy, meaty, bready and very hearty!

Linda R.

Yelp
Sunday lunch was not too crowded, but the service was terrible. Hubby and I sat in the booths in front of the bar. The bartender indicated he was our server, but was busy tending the bar. Other wait staff walked right pass with no acknowledgment. Took forever to order and even longer for the food to arrive. My salad was wrong, and I had to wait for a new corrected meal while Hubby about finished his lunch. No acknowledgment for the check, and Hubby had to go to the bar to ask for our check. Our salad and flatbread was ok, but the terrible service took away from the experience. Hard pass on returning.

Lizzie G.

Yelp
Oh my GOSH! Ahhh this was so good! So we opted for the Al pastor appetizer (SO good but I forgot to grab a photo) which was a huge portion and came with pita, crema, onions and cilantro. The meat was so tender, juicy and flavorful! It was relatively large chunks though which made it hard to load onto the pita, but no real complaints because the end result was *delicious*. Then we also ordered the board with barbers 1833 cheddar, farmdal Gouda, Texas wagyu pastrami, Don Juan chorizo. This came loaded up with pickles, veggies (cauliflower, carrots, and red bell peppers), bread, nuts, one strawberry, Dijon mustard, and grapes! The only complaint I have is it seems share style but they don't think about how many people are eating it? 3 pieces of bread for 2 people, 1 strawberry for 2 people... it can be challenging to split so it's something to be aware of. Again, not a real complaint as I had plenty of food. Server was super friendly and helpful, as well as made great suggestions! It was quite loud and hard to hear each other many points during the meal. Restaurant has very high ceilings and no real dampening to help minimize it. Overall, I would definitely go back! PS to find the location: walk towards the galaxy theater and turn around, as it faces the restaurant! It is rather challenging to find!!

Nusheen A.

Yelp
Very good service and delicious food! I ordered the bbq flatbread and it was to die for. The restaurant is very big, not many people were there for a Friday night but was told it gets pretty busy on Saturday nights. Would definitely recommend.

Shannon U.

Yelp
Super fun Galentine's Day event hosted by Barley & Board and Stemmed and Found! Beautiful and delicious charcuterie boards to nibble on while making beautiful flower arrangements. Plus a cool swag bag!

Jerry K.

Yelp
Interesting menu. The highlight is a charcuterie board you can customize with your favorites. I had the ribs/fried quail dish which I enjoyed, but quail is always difficult to eat. Ribs were good, baked not smoked. Parking is the headache here at Grandscape. Waiter suggested we park in the back behind the theater for the best access.

Tracey S.

Yelp
We ordered the Expressway, BlackBerry Mojito Refresher, a Charcuterie board, the Al Pastor and the Sweet Pig and Angrier Bird. Everything was beautifully plated and tasted incredible! Lauanie you knocked it out the park! You have a great talent for presentation and taste!!

Mark M.

Yelp
This was a nice change from the usual. Dinner was meat, cheese, fruit and nuts board. All excellent choices. Different variations to choose from. Order your favorite wine or try their whisky and bourbon options. A little more expensive than the usual but well worth it. Enjoyed myself. Hope you will too. Service was nice and enjoyable. The ambiance was nice and classy.

Leena J.

Yelp
B&B, great place to eat. Spacious setup- open and airy- with lots of seating inside and outside. Great patio! I went ahead and joined the waitlist Saturday night- very busy. There was a cover band playing so everyone was out and about Grandscape. Great weather- a little wind and chill, break from the heat. Just a few minutes after arriving, I got a text from the Resy app saying our table was ready. Yahooooo. Everything looked pretty good on the menu, but prices were high. We tried the gnocchi and the steak salad. Gnocchi was $18 and a a smaller portions . Could have been seasoned better. Didn't have that panache and creaminess we were looking for. The steak salad was good, large, $19. Had flank steak, but was a bit tough. Seasoned well. Dressing was nice. Lots of fresh juicy veggies. Our sever was very very sweet and and did a great job. Didn't see anything super exciting on the menu, but I'll be back to try some of the boards. Nice vibes.

Yelp
We just shared a Cuban sandwich and a charcuterie with two cheese and one sliced meat with lots of nuts, fruits, and spicy cucumbers at Barley and Board at Grandscape near Nebraska Furniture in Lewisville, Texas. I'm age 72 and this was maybe the best meal I've ever eaten. It was so amazing that I was thanking gods I don't even worship. The sandwich and chips were extra spicy; my wife said she would be retaining Boston Harbor for a few days. But it was incredibly good! It's a cool yet unpretentious place near the ferris wheel.

Yelp
I called ahead since it was a weekend at dinner time and the wait was around 20 minutes, they let me put our name down which is always a bonus- especially at Grandscape where it's already going to take you at least that long to park. It's not the easiest to find- we definitely walked around the entire middle area before we nearly came out the other side and found it. So just be aware, if you're facing the building it's in, go to the right. The tables were cleaned off, the floor was busy, and the lighting wasn't overly dim for dinner service. We spent several minutes enjoying their interior design, when the cooler months come around I really look forward to dining on their patio. The service was friendly, jovial, and quick even though it was pretty busy. We all MARVELED at our food. Even a simple grilled cheese and tomato bisque made us smile. Nobody at the table enjoyed the bread pudding. It was a major miss for us. But I'm VERY glad I asked for coffee. We are in that area often and have a lot to try and explore but I definitely wouldn't mind taking friends and family there because I won't worry about their menu. There's something for everyone, I'd say- and it was (almost) all absolutely spectacular. Just a friendly tip, they do look like they could easily accommodate larger groups- just don't forget how polite it is to call ahead if you have more than 6 so they don't have to scramble to make sure you all have a good experience. Servers included.

Yelp
Hubby & I dined here for a date night!! We were seated immediately as it was not very crowded that night. I wanted to get the charcuterie board but thought it was a bit more expensive than I wanted to pay considering we were getting other entrees & drinks. We did order our drinks and meals.. all of it was pretty good. We would go back again..

Yelp
I could easily repeat this one. The place is located in a really nice area in the Grandscape, the patio seating is extremely nice and very entertaining. They have the same menu as the original location, which I think it's a bit restrictive but the food was delicious. We had the bread pudding (There was enough for the 3 of us) and it was one of the best I have tried. Service was a bit slow, but it was very attentive. I recommend to do a reservation online, just to be on the safe side.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and the mimosa flights are in point! I also loved the different breakfast and brunch boards available.

Yelp
Although one of the cheaper options for a group meal at Grandscape it is undoubtedly one of the best! The friendliness of the staff and the quality of service is amazing and did not disappoint. And the food was to die for, I personally went with the wagyu pastrami and Gouda sandwich and every part of that sandwich was perfect and delicious. Barley & Board, the casual bar/restaurant with a very farmstead feel, earns my respect and gets 5 stars from me.

Yelp
Barley & Board is a beautiful restaurant with potential. I was so hopeful going in, but the food did not deliver. We order two Deep Ellum Dallas Blonde's with the Chicken Fried Oyster Mushrooms appetizers, and we only enjoyed our beers. The oyster fried mushrooms were an unfavorable shareable size. I feel that you can tell a lot about a restaurant by the appetizers and I was afraid to try anything else. We were tempted to order their hot chicken and burger, but decided not to. Grandscape has yet to deliver with food. All of their entertainment is great, but we are currently 0 for 2 on food places.

Yelp
Best brunch ever! Dana was our server and she was amazing. Excellent service and food makes a great event! This place has it in spades. We couldn't have had a better server. The food was so tasty. They let us in the restaurant a little early to decorate the table. Dillon the Manager was friendly and super accommodating. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!!! Wish Dana was our server at all restaurants...Good servers are few and far between. But here they are excellent and work as a group when needed and it makes a difference in your experience. I was super impressed that one Server could handle a group of 9 adults and 3 children. She did it with ease! Timings and rechecks were spot on. Dana also made several recommendations which was lovely as it was my first visit. Food was fresh and delicious. Unique menu items offered. Farm to table fresh. I don't know how they make those pickles but I loved them. We did flights of mimosas and it was awesome. Lots of fresh fruit purées to choose from.

Yelp
This place is super cute! I went here with a friend for happy hour and got the happy hour specials on the boards and drinks! Love that you can build the boards and the drinks were delicious. Service was great as well!
