An Essential Guide to Las Vegas Brewery Tasting Rooms

"A concise menu of classic German styles such as a Helles or Hefeweizen pair well with gambling and dining at this brew pub/Brewer's Cafe. Dine in with a half rack of ribs or steak tacos or take growlers to go." - Janna Karel

This is my absolute spot! I love barleys and their staff! I tell all my friends about it all the time! They always have a great variety of games and they put new machines in there it feels like at least once a month. They have a fantastic selection of beer and their food looks solid though I have never tried it. They are run by Stations casinos and they have the same betting Kiosks in there that you can use at the bigger casinos without all the giant lines and yelling. They have a nice little sports book and their employees are top notch! Tami is my favorite if you come in in the late hours or early mornings before 7am to out your tickets in for the day. The Kiosks turn on and update every day at 6:00am.

Good locals casino with an old Vegas type vibe. People are friendly, including servers. Beer was good, but unfortunately food was just mediocre (went with the prime rib). They do allow smoking, both in the casino and the dining area which was a turnoff eating (but like I said old Vegas and I was eating in the bar area). There’s the game on plenty of TVs though so that’s a plus.

The last time I had been to Barley's before 11 March 2024 was right after COVID. And wow, has Barley's ever done downhill! Here are the downsides from my recent visit: 1. They only have pint glasses now. They use to have 20oz, 32oz, pitchers, and growlers. 2. For the 10 years I lived in Vegas, they only had their craft beers on tap. Now they have a bunch of normal beers. Feels cheap now. At least they still have a few of their crafts. 3. I know there has been some inflation, but wow, have the food portions and options shrunk. $5 use to get you a heaping burger and fries. $13 now gets you what feels like half as much. 4. My burger, somehow, was a little burnt but half was medium and half well-done. 5. The parmesan cheese shaker was dented. I know this isn't that big of a deal, but it's a reflection of what Barley's is now. 6. A cockroach joined is for lunch. On the plus side, the pizza is still delicious. We did put the order in before 11, but we didn't get it until 11:37am, so if you're planning on pizza, there may be a wait. It could have been because there was only one waitress working the whole casino and bar. I, still, even gambled a little bit while I was there, and I regret it not because I lost, but because Barley's has gone so far downhill. I didn't even complain because I don't think management would have cared. I'm worried a place that held a special place in my heart will be a dumpster fire from now on. As long as they don't have the large mugs, I'll never go back.

My niece and I ate at Barley's Brewer Cafe today and it didn't disappoint. She had the chicken tenders. They smelled wonderful she said they were really good and they're very large as you can see. I had the turkey club and I chose coleslaw. You can get potato salad or french fries if you wish and it was absolutely delicious. They also have great breakfast I've had those the eggs were just right the potatoes were just right and the coffee is good. The staff is always very friendly they always have a smile they are constantly asking you if you need anything and act as though they really like their job. It is truly always a great experience when I go there.

Google
This neighborhood bar, grill and casino offers local clientele a reasonably priced and friendly option. Specials on beer, burgers and pizza are worth checking out. If you like slots and/or video poker, you can have a nice time and a good meal in an easy access alternative to the blatant gouging perpetrated 24/7 on the Strip.

Update December 2024: I came in here on my last day of a trip in December 2024 and things have changed. 1) They've replaced the machines at the bar, which is fine, but they've got a new quality about them that would make me stop gambling entirely if it becomes universal -- pop-up ads in the game. 2) They seem to have stopped making their own beer. I guess somebody got sick or died from some cleaning fluid in the tap lines a while ago. They still have draft beer, so if the issue was dirty tap lines, I don't know why the type of beer flowing through them would matter. 3) The bartender on this visit had a real "Ahkshually" air about him. My buddy and I have been playing video poker longer than he's been alive, and he felt it necessary to repeatedly interject our conversations with the pomposity of those old guys on YouTube who still have their vinyl collection of obscure bands from 1973. 4) Food is still great. I really enjoyed the steak and eggs breakfast. I did take a nice $250 win on one of the new games, so I can't complain THAT much, but I got really uncomfortable in there and repeatedly told my friend under my breath that I needed to get out and get out now. This experience is likely going to remove Barley's from my regular rotation. Original review: I don't live anywhere near Vegas. Or Nevada. Or the Pacific time zone. But every time I go to Vegas, about twice a year, Barley's is a must stop. I've never had anything but amazing bartenders. On all but one occasion, the food has been excellent and affordable. The one time the food came out not so great, the staff remedied it immediately and without question. Bonus, I don't know what it is about this place, but the video poker here has repeatedly been very very kind to me. I can't really rate a place on that as random chance is random chance, but it sure doesn't hurt that I've walked out with a fatter wallet a few times! They do always have progressive on the royals, so that's a nice little something extra if you can manage to hit one!

Staff was extremely helpful and attentive. Kinda small but packed with games and great food options. STN Sportsbook to get some sweat on the games. Looking forward to a future visit.

Yelp
I have been hearing about this place for a while and have been wanting to try it, we came by on a Saturday morning and the place was not busy at all and we were able to get seated right away. We received our drinks and coffee pretty quickly, the coffee was actually really good and always filled without having to ask for more, when the waitress brought out our food I was amazed how big the ham steak was, I took over half home to eat later since it was too much food. I am looking forward to coming back (my guy says maybe even tomorrow lol) and trying something else like just bacon and eggs or their biscuits and crazy, breakfast is reasonably priced too for the amount of food you get.

Yelp
Good beer options, although last time I went they were out of a lot of the selections I wanted. I typically like to get a flight to try a few & then a growler to take home. The restaurant is pretty good also & the servers are always very nice and attentive.

Yelp
Barley's is a neighborhood casino and has that vibe as well. It's a nice break from the larger Station Casinos, and they have a brewpub too. It's not a true casino though, as there are no table games. There's a sports book and a poker bar, with seating in both areas. Most of the popular slots are here, although there seems to be a lack of wheel of fortune slots. There are a lot of video poker slots on the floor. Barley's is part of Wildfire Casinos, under the Station Casinos umbrella. So there are Boarding Pass kiosks with promotions tied to the Wildfire brand. A recent addition was a High Limit Room (slots only) where the Player's Club area used to be. I was quite surprised to see this, and decided to go in and press my luck. I was happy to find a fridge with water, soda and the like, as well as a small selection of boxed candy. There are more video poker machines than slots, and I think the lowest denomination on the 2 reel slots I perused was $5. The chairs are super comfy too, and a cocktail server came in shortly after I arrived. When I took pics of the room later, I saw the sign that has the President and Chairman cards on it. That is puzzling to me, as there was no monitoring (at least outright) of who was playing in there. As a lowly Platinum player, I was worried about being booted! The sign seems to want to ward off anyone who isn't President or Chairman. I will be more likely to return because of the high limit room, as long as me and my Platinum card are still welcome!

Yelp
Drinks are not free at the bar video machines unlike every other establishment in Vegas. I'm a president cardholder at Stations Casino. Imagine my surprise to lose my money and get charged for 2 drinks. This is why I started gambling at other casinos. Stations are cheap on their lame gifts and free play. Never any waitresses, lost 200, waiting for 1 drink.
google avatar

Ella-Marie L.

Yelp
Came to this casino to have a great time with friends. Went straight to the bar to get a drink and waited half an hour later by Amy to get a drink. Trust me, I have been here multiple times before when it was so much busier and got serviced in less than half the time. After gambling for a couple hours and spending so much money, the same bartender Amy came up to us and asked for our ID's. We jokingly said "you checked our IDs at the bar". And she went crazy and yelled at us saying "You all can just leave." And we were baffled because she called the security to escort us out, we spend soooo much money here. It's not right that she treats us with this disrespect.

Yelp
A cool locals casino with no table games. They do have a sports book though. Smaller than most casinos in the area yet ample if you love slots. I love table games though so it wasn't my cup of tea.

Yelp
Well well well as a beer connoisseur (jp I drink pbr on the weekends) I really enjoyed their beers. I have probably been to over 100 breweries but this place keeps the beers simple yet tasty. You won't find the latest cali beer style craze but they have one of the best blondes I have ever tasted coming from a stout drinker that says a lot. GREAT service and GREAT prices too. So stop by and have a draft or two, it's yummy in the tummy ..

Yelp
WOW I just wanted to thank the employees for the excellent customer service that we have receive every time we got to Barley's If I could I would give 100 stars because of the excellent customer service we receive. My husband and I had a burgers which were so good, did not realize how much we missed Barley's Burgers, glad your now opened.

Yelp
Awesome place for a nice meal in Henderson NV go check it out! It is clean and a nice place to gamble! Go check it out today!

Sean R.

Yelp
Just make sure when you go there you don't expect to win. Period. My experience has been that no matter what you put in or how long you play for, whether you have your card in or not they will change your RTP on you at the snap of a finger. If it were up to me I'd go to the Nevada gaming commission and report them for everything that they do because quite frankly it's ridiculous as I'm sitting consistently playing and watching my RTP drop all the way from a normal consistent return down to less than 5%. That seems to be the standard with all station casinos as it is and quite frankly if you go look on the Nevada gaming commissions website and go look up all of their values and the returns to player you'll see it's under the state law of 75% GGK thanks you all should be fucking ashamed

Yelp
Its an alright place to hang out two bartenders are pretty cool. Things are weird after covid they aren't too great at keeping up with the drinks. Food take a while to come out. My bf still likes going here because igs close to his job. This place is just okay
google avatar

Charles M.

Yelp
1. Miserable slot attendants on Wednesdays & Thursdays....avoid at all costs. 2. Cocktail service is in the toilet... 3. Bartenders: Generally speaking, they are unaware of high-end players at the bar and appear to be very new (green) when it comes to industry service standards. 4. Floor managers (CSM's) fail to relay messages and do not keep their word. 5. The GM fails to return phone calls and has made very few (if any) improvements to a dying operation. This review was extremely fortunate that it even earned a single-star.
google avatar

Joyce T.

Yelp
Its part of Station's Casino. Looks like the set up hasn't changed for years. There is the Pub, the pizza place and the Brewer Cafe. The sportsbook is pretty busy and the Pub bar tops are filled and its 3pm. Lots of parking.
google avatar

Maria R.

Yelp
Very bad experience at the cafe today ordered a cheeseburger brought it out wrong ordered it again brought it out wrong when I approached management about it I was told I was going to get thrown out very bad attitudes, It's a shame the Burger has potential there but nobody knows how to cook them and like I said management was terrible about the situation try somewhere else I'm sure it'll be better!!
google avatar

Joe L.

Yelp
The service is always outstanding but they keep changing their food prices. I use to substitute the toast for one biscuit and gravy. Now they charge .25. I am sure that the toast, butter, jelly, and container cost more than .25. It's pretty sad that this place is worrying about .25. it should be an embarrassment to the Barley's Casino.
google avatar

Sean T.

Yelp
Cool place to hang out locally, the staff is friendly and food is really good. The their own beer which is excellent and i believe you can take some to go as well.

Yelp
First time and was thrilled with the food and the beer. I got a burger and it was very tasty. My wife loved the fisherman's platter. I enjoyed all the beers the Alt and Hefe were my favorites. We will be back soon.

Cecille H.

Yelp
Just make sure you don't order tap beer when they are cleaning the taps. Special education teacher just won a lawsuit as a result of his injuries from taking a drink of cleaning solvent served to him!
google avatar

Yelp
It's awesome place amazing food would recommend had there chicken steet tacos played keno and won.

Yelp
Adrienne and Lauren were both very friendly and courteous. So happy this place is finally open.

Yelp
First time there but not my last! Loved it! Will be back for sure! The patrons were fun and the servers were great. Their team/staff were all friendly and consistently keeping us from getting thirsty! They had a great variety of machines to appeal to everyone. Can't wait to go again!

Yelp
Station Casino-owned Barleys Casino can be found on Sunset Road basically next to the Galaxy Luxury Theater in Henderson. It's a fairly dinky little casino and brewery, with a decent amount of slot machines inside. The table games were taken out long ago. Like somewhere around 2003. I usually pop in to make a bet at their sportsbook. It's one of those old school jobs with the manual boards with the team plates and the lines adjusted with markers. lol I'm pretty sure it's one of the few left in the city still without electronic boards...but i kind of like that! Plus, since it is run by Stations, you can cash out your winning tickets at any of their other properties. Pro tip: Stay the hell away from the wall of video poker machines towards the back! They are located near the restrooms. They don't really have doors or much room between the casino floor and the actual facilities, so whenever someone takes a dump, you are left gagging and choking at your machine. Not very pleasant. At all. Unfortunately, I speak from experience. I will try the food and house brews one of these days and adjust my review accordingly at that time. Until that time, its A-Ok. 3 stars.

Yelp
My BF was a huge fan of this place back in the day- it's secluded, it's quiet, it's dark, and they have great pizza and an old-school sports book that does the handwritten thing. The typical casino smoke stench is here, so you'll smell this place on your clothing after you leave. It's got it's own kind of charm. Or it used to. From the outside, it's kind of an eyesore. The inside is clean, but that's about all it has going for it. Frankly, I'm not sure how they make a profit other than slots- the pizza place no longer sells by the slice, and most people I know don't come here with a group to eat a whole pie. It's the kind of place you wallow by yourself or hide from the law. For another note on the book, the TVs are old tube style screens, and also small. You can watch a game here, but frankly most non-casino bars are a better bet... Ha, a pun. Service is... interesting. No one approached me in the two hours I spent here. I mean, other than the one guy at the book that wandered around using profanity while talked to another patron, complaining about a former employee.

Yelp
Great local bar and grille. They brew their own beer. Food is great and staff are very friendly and accommodating. A must go for all Las Vegas locals and their visiting friends! Love the place!

Yelp

Yelp
Great beer, great service. Nice and clean during covid, everyone doing their best with the masks and regulations. Love this place!

Yelp
Ive really wanted to like this place for a long time since it used to be a solid spot to come watch the games on Sunday. Everytime I've visited in the past year, the Red Rock is not on tap, the Blue Diamond is usually out as well, sucks cuz those are the two best brews they have. They used to have awesome specials for football season...gonzo. You used to be able to order a salad bar with no issues (there's almost nothing else on the menu that doesn't have meat/ animal products), but now when you order a salad bar from anywhere else besides the cafe you get denied. The salad bar is on the menu you are given when you eat at the bar, cafe, or any table. In the Cafe, there is a sign that says all items at cafe are available at the bar. If the salad bar is not available, it is not obvious or even hidden anywhere other than being denied by a manager when you ask about it. I get it, "anyone could come off the street and come eat the salad bar, there is no way to monitor it", but it's 2019 guys... use a damn token system or something. Or put some other plant based options on the menu, or mention it ANYWHERE. Is it that difficult to figure out? Another major issue is service, "sorry, we are understaffed" has been the go to excuse for the wait staff for years. Its hard to believe that at a sports book you can't expect an influx of patrons during the aired games. It could just be me, but as a local I have a hard time accepting some type of issue time and time and time again. I keep coming back every 4 months or so to try and give it another shot, but I'm met with disappointment everytime. I will not be back after today, and Sunday Funday is moving to another local spot with better customer service.
google avatar

Ellie M.

Yelp
I've gone to this place for the last place tonight, and to Station Casinos in general! My husband and are both chairmen.threw away the cards. Going to the strip going forward. Complained to the manager repeatedly with no results. Enough is enough. Save your money. Slot machines that are constantly out of service, continually short staffed, ridiculously long waits for a beer. I'll take my money elsewhere
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Can't say enough about the service-even during Covid- our girl Addrienne was the best!

Miles M.

Yelp
Great spot to hang and watch sports with a beer Would recommend coming in to try the blue diamond!!

Amber C.

Yelp
I just have to say their food is so good and affordable. Hands down best Philly cheesesteak I've ever eaten. The food is consistent which I love because a lot of places aren't like that. Trust me give this place a try, it's a hidden gem.
google avatar

James J.

Yelp
Great and friendly service! Adrienne was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting here!

Rebecca S.

Yelp
We love coming to Barleys! The Brewer's Cafe is a great little spot to get a quick bite to eat with a hometown diner feel inside the casino with great viewing for any game you're betting on. Their house beers are great and for a wonderful price. Definitely give Barley's a try!

Christine D.

Yelp
Extremely pleased with the service. I had a concern and John L. And Tammy went above and beyond to help me. All the personal I have come in contact with have excellent customer service, especially Mike and Lena. Quite an enjoyable place. Thank you.
google avatar

Christina K.

Yelp
Was disappointed that I had to wait so long to get a drink. I had to go ask a manager if there was someone on the floor. I had been here about 20 minutes and saw no one. Ask him f they had the beer I drink and they said no. And suggested another. I shouldn't have had to ask when I looked around very few people had beverages. Starting to Notice this is apparently normal at Wildfires.
google avatar

Les K.

Yelp
The sports book is great, slot machines what you'd expect. The brew is excellent. The restaurant is not bad. A few years ago is was very reasonable, now its pricey. Service is good some days horrible others. I remember one night my wife and went in sat at the bar for almost 30 minutes and weren't served and we were literally the only ones in there. It's a hit and miss.

John B.

Yelp
We passed 2 other restaurants and happened into Barleys. We found the best most delicate crisp with perfect moisture wings. Watch out for Lindsay she backs the Eagles GO PACKERS

Steven A.

Yelp
Barley's has always been our family's go-to restaurant!! The quality of food for the price is AMAZING! And their servers are so friendly and amazing! We especially love Noelle who treats us as family! If you enjoy beer, the Honey Blonde us to die for!
google avatar

Voice Box A.

Yelp
I have always absolutely loved this place, but now only 3 stars. We were helped by Cynthia, mediocre service and customer experience. Glad we don't come here anymore #BYE

Joseph M.

Yelp
Barleys best local beer in town! Friendly staff and great food. Good place to chill after work.

Jose L.

Yelp
It's my first time coming here and it's a Great place to drink a beer while watching sports I would definitely bring my friends and family's here

G Z.

Yelp
Nice industrial themed restaurant. Friendly staff and great, quality draft beer. Very affordable and clean. Highly recommend the honey blonde beer.
google avatar

Brandi M.

Yelp
Had an issue at this establishment. Was given GMs phone number to resolve it. GM refuses to even call me back. Unprofessional and disrespectful to their customers.

Rob H.

Yelp
The slots are tight...which makes total sense while the casinos are operating at a loss..So good luck.! Also, if your a smoker and try to enjoy yourself...forget it... The mask police are pretty intense here..They are on you quicker than flys on a bulls tail...and if they have to come back and tell you twice, well, they will make threats to throw you out. ..I used to enjoy this local joint...kind of a nice speakeasy..after my last couple trips I say forget it.. They lost a good customer here..and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone.....two thumbs down

Dejan D.

Yelp
Great beer and ambiance I visit frequently I will certainly come back soon. Friendly staff and Chris always hooks it up
google avatar

Gianna J.

Yelp
Love going here every Sunday ! The staff is so nice and make sure you're taken care of the entire time you are there.

Sally B.

Yelp
Don't bother with their "VIP" party... The food is gross at the party. They also have false advertising between the physical mail flyer and the website details of the promotion. They make it seem they are giving a larger amount of money away. It's also not real money; it's free play. They give $100 each to 5 winners. The free play does not show up right away on your card. You will have to come back within 7 days, which they also don't tell you and don't post anywhere. I came back to their establishment to find out my "prize" expired. I won't be coming back - ever! I'd probably send their marketing material to the gaming commission, but it's not worth my time. I just want to save someone from going to their awful party in their smokey casino. A lot of things close early in their "casino" too. Don't expect to get much cocktail service either...for such a small place, the girls sure don't come around often! They'd rather gab at the bar. There are so many more better casinos around the area. Skip this one!

Hazel J.

Yelp
Love this Barley's place to hang out with friends..Its small and not too crowded, weve been coming here like almost every weekend. Good service as well

Judy K.

Yelp
We have lived in Vegas for 7 years and this has been our home away from home to relax and enjoy food, gaming and sports. The staff including the porters to the floor staff, cocktail waitresses, bartenders, sports book especially Dominick are the friendliest most helpful and nicest we have ever encountered. In particular Han, Jeff, Keri, Rocky, Diane, Noel,Dakota,Stacey. The only suggestion we would have is the menu. The latest menu change lacks variety and not enough to select from. Overall it is the most cozy and best place to go for relaxation and fun. We have made friends with many patrons over the years and value those as well.
