Yogi GastroNomad is an absolute gem! 🤩 My friends and I went here, and wow… their Japanese-Korean fusion is on another level! Every dish was packed with flavor, and we couldn’t stop raving about it. Highly recommend trying their handrolls especially the uni one (life-changing!!) Dont forget to try the Pasta Nomad Noir its the best squid ink pasta i’ve ever had 🤤🤤🤤 On top of that, the service was phenomenal. We felt so welcomed and it was such an honor to have the owner Seolbin there during our visit. You can really feel the passion in everything they do! If you’re looking for a cozy spot to hang out with friends AND enjoy incredible food, this is the place. You’ll love it! 🥢

Google
Great place. They have happy hours every day in food and drinks, this include oysters for $1 each. Service was friendly and attentive and we came without reservation and got a table but it seems so get crowded. We came for a quick bite so we had the popcorn chicken that was good and flavorful, some oysters and a glass of wine that was also included in the happy hour. Thanks for everything.

After my friends and I had fun in Koreatown, we hopped right over to Barn Joo Nomad. Arriving just before their happy hour ends, we were able to order some delicious cocktails. Not only are they refreshing, but the sweetness were perfectly balanced with the strong alcohol taste. The atmosphere were lively and relaxing. My friends and I were able to converse amongst ourselves without being overwhelmed by conversations from neighboring tables. As for the food, it was beyond delicious. We ordered several small appetizers to share, while having a main entrée for ourselves. The Truffle Fries were sweet and salty. You can enjoy them with or without the condiments. The Braised Pork Belly were so tender. It melts in your mouth and there is a good portion of meat with a strip of fat on top. The real kicker, was the Pasta Nomad Noir. The squid-ink pasta was a jaw dropper. Not just of its color, but the perfect blend of chili oil and seafood. I definitely look forward to coming back to try more of their menu. As I frequent Koreatown, it seems like I will be coming back sooner, rather than later!

I can't wait to return. My mom and I LOVED EVERYTHING! The service was amazing, our waitress was so friendly! The food...I've never tasted sushi tacos. Loved them as well.

Speedy service, great and friendly servers! Food came out pretty quick. Nice spot to have drinks and small bites. Csn make reservations on open table.

Google
Beyond fresh and tasty sushi “rolls” and one-of-a- kind Korean fried wings; sticky, crispy, paper thin skin, you won’t soon forget. Oh, fries are a must!

I recently visited a small yet charming restaurant that left a lasting impression. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a great vibe that made the space feel vibrant and alive. The music added just the right touch, perfectly complementing the ambiance without being overpowering. The food was delicious, clearly made with care and attention to detail, and the cocktails were equally impressive. They didn’t hold back on the alcohol, so each drink packed a flavorful punch. It’s clear this place values quality in everything they serve. If you’re looking for an intimate spot with great music, excellent food, and strong cocktails, this is definitely worth a visit!

Google
I have been a regular here for many times over the few last months because the happy hour is unbeatable! If you like Asian beers, you will find no other place that can beat the price during the happy hour. I had decided to inquire to rent out the bar for a private event last weekend and I was introduced to Mrs. Park who is very friendly, very straightforward and very helpful. The event was so special to my heart and I have to thank the staff and Mrs. Park for such a wonderful time. The pricing was very reasonable, the music was great, the interior design was very modern and stylish that many of my friends greatly enjoyed the venue. I have rented out bars for private events and there are other places in NYC who like to sneak extra fees or go back on an agreement. Mrs. Park honored our agreement and when the bill came, there was no surprises. Very good price. And the food! I had ordered many drinks for my private event and Mrs. Park mentioned she would add some snacks as well. I did not expect so much and so delicious food to be included. My only regret is that I could not eat everything. I highly recommend anyone who is interested in throwing a private event or just have a nice drink for happy hour to strongly consider YOGI Barn Joon. The drinks and food are great but the service and staff bring it to another level. I will be back again soon!

Yelp
This place is a nice and chill dinner spot! The portions are a bit small and pricy, but the food is good. The food is definitely not fully authentic, but it is a creative way to incorporate Korean food into new dishes. The food came out hot and was delicious, and our waiter was nice! We came back the next day during their happy hour for oysters, and they are fresh with good sauce. Our waitress was also really nice as well. I recommend!!

Yelp
Really liked the ambiance - fun spot with solid (if not fully authentic) Korean food. Great for large groups and sharing, especially since the apps were the real stars. Must orders: popcorn chicken, truffle fries, oysters Skip: spicy shrimp, fish & beef baos, tteok cheese Creamy kimchi udon was good, but I've had better

Yelp
Food is very tasty but portions are small Got the hot stone pot with galbi and 3 hand rolls (tuna, salmon, and eel). Service was quick. Vibes are dark but trendy, fusion restaurant in midtown. Fun place to go with friends

Yelp
Overall good small bites! We got the trio and the wings (garlic) all good. The bartender ( could be owner) so nice and accommodating. Overall good would recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
The food options are a little bit limited but very delicious. I ordered hot stone seafood bowl and it was very good. My friends ordered sizzling beef and it came with a stove, which was very cool. Service was great. The restaurant was a cool spot and trendy. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
I had a delightful experience here. My server greeted us at the door and was super friendly, we were sat right away and were 20 minutes early to the reservation. Great place for a quick and relaxed bite as service is fast as well. The chicken wings are amazing! Super crispy outside soft on the inside. I love a soy garlic chicken wing so got those but also got citron. I was unexpectedly blown away by the citron flavor and liked it better than the soy garlic but both were very good. Got an appetizer with rice cakes cheese and truffle which was also tasty.

Yelp
Fun Korean fusion in Korea town. A beautiful little shop with cute decor and a fun vibe. The sashimi trio had fun flavors and beautiful plating, but I wish the fish would have tasted fresher. The Drunken Tiger Cocktail was a little on the juicy side and could have been served colder. But the flavors were great. The Braided Pork Belly is where the we were impressed. It's delivered on a sizzling Cast Iron Bowl that stays heated. It was like when the table next to you orders fajitas and you change your order. The sauce was a fascinating pairing. I would return because of this dish.

Yelp
Came here for girl dinnerrr on an early friday night. We ate at the second floor which was nice and quiet, I thought the decor was really cute lol. I ordered two drinks-the cucumber tonic and the yuzu blossom. They were both good drinks, nothing amazing but were tasty. They have a happy hour special for oysters everyday from 4-7 PM, $1 per oyster. I am a sucker for an oyster deal so was really happy about this. For my main I got the creamy kimchi udon which was so decadent and yummy! You can adjust the spice level but I got it spicy which helps to cut the creaminess of it. It was a good portion too so I could take half to enjoy for leftovers :) My friends got the open roll trio set which is a great deal for $20! This was a great casual place for dinner that I'll be returning to when I'm next in KTown!

Yelp
Barn Joo is a Korean gastropub with three locations in Manhattan. I came here with some friends for food and drinks. The place is clean and modern but we found the menu to be lacking. The food menu has only the basics of Korean food with bowls of bimbimpap, different gimbap (Korean sushi) rolls, and a bunch of tapas. The drink menu is a mix of different cocktails like margaritas and martinis. The tapas are a mix of American and Asian appetizers like dumplings, Korean fried chicken, calamari, and truffle fries. While the goof we had was tasty, those coming here for Korean food will be disappointed. I would have much rather gone to a larger restaurant in Koreatown with a full menu of Korean food and drink.

Yelp
Great spot in general for a good time with a lot of seating available and has the option to do KBBQ or just a la carte and you are sitting away from the bbq if you do ala carte. Highly recommend the bibimbap as its made with quinoa and has a great flavor. Could eat a bowl by myself.

Yelp
Amazing time was had here bc we had also the best waitress. Food was good. Loved the oysters deal. Drinks were decent for me, my friend loved the sweeter soju. Ambience was great too. Definitely date spot approved.

Yelp
So delicious!! Got some items from the HH menu, the $1 oysters, popcorn chicken and crispy tofu. Also from the regular menu, tried the creamy kimchi shrimp udon & tiger roll - amazing!! Service was great so friendly and attentive, gets pretty busy so recommend a reservation, I really enjoyed the food & reasonably priced, so I will be back again!

Yelp
Absolutely loved this spot, stumbled upon it on Yelp and had to try it. Highly recommend going for happy hour, the deals are just too good to pass up! We went during Halloween and they had the whole place decorated with the theme which was super cute. They played awesome music the whole time which is always a plus for every meal. The bento boxes on the lunch menu are HUGE, and we ended up staying long enough into happy hour where we got drink deals and even more food deals. They have $1 oysters which I am always on the hunt for!! Everything we ordered was amazing: - Uni Bibimbap Combo Set - Creamy Kimchi Shrimp Udon Combo Set - Chicken Wings - Truffle Fries - Potato Croquette Service was great, super friendly and the food came out so fast. We had such a great experience and would definitely come back with more friends :)

Yelp
Another great meal at Barn Joo in Nomad! This Korean Pub has really become our go to when in Nomad. They consistently serve up great food and drinks in a great location at the corner of 28th and 6th Ave. Korean pub dishes we love include Tteok + Cheese (rice cake, corn, olives in a bowl of melted cheeses), Korean hot & spicy wings (must try) and Spicy Tuna "open roll" (sort of like tuna tartare wrapped in a single seaweed sheet). It's all good! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Tonight I just wanted to get something quick to eat near my hotel. I saw this place Barn Joo Nomad at 816 6th Ave. New York. I have to admit I was lured in by the $1 oysters for happy hour, I always love oysters but unfortunately those were not great, oh well at least it was cheap. I was sitting at the bar and asked the barman what were the open rolls on the menu as I never had those before, I just wanted an explanation and he looked at me like I was an idiot, not the friendliest for sure, he looked miserable the whole time, I guess you cannot always be happy but hey make an effort as it is not my fault if you are in a bad mood and you still expect a tip for the service. In any case the open rolls were really good. I could have ordered more but because of the atmosphere I just left, sometimes it is not just about the food, good service can make the whole experience better.

Yelp
I can't express how delicious this dinner was and that was after a day with a full lunch. Kimchi Udon pasta was worth the two lactaid pills lol. Cheese rice cake was double whammy. Highly recommend the pork belly. Somehow still had room for dessert - the cheese cake is delectable. I wish I have time to take more pics but I'm too busy eating the place is cute and service is impeccable. We stayed until closing and they're so nice to us. Would 10/10 come back here

Yelp
came for a party of three. The interior finishes feel very warm, the wood columns and ceiling look very interesting. It is a very cozy space overall, thanks to the size of the bar and number of seats. Great for a small party, specifically couples rather than a big party. We had soft-shell crabs, oysters (served after 4pm), salads, three sashimi set, and calamari. Surprisingly none of them disappointed us; fresh, visually pleasing, well-paired with dressings. The drink menu includes Draft Beers, Cocktails and some high-end whiskeys. We started with Toki-based high ball, Kona Golden Ale, and finished with a glass of Yamazaki. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Food was delicious. I got the uni bibimbap, I loved the combination of flavors. The uni seemed a little funky but that's uni for you; personally I'd try the sashimi bibimbap next time. The cold tofu appetizer was fantastic. My bf loved his seafood noodles, the crab was nearly impossible to eat without crab cracking tools. I do with there were more gluten free options marked on the menu. The music, however--- horrible for dining! It was like being at a club. Loud and extremely high-tempo, upbeat music created the weirdest ambiance. The food is so unusual and high class and the music was so intense and clubby, it kind of ruined the experience for me. Five stars for food, 0 stars for ambiance marred by the music.

Yelp
I came to Barn Joo Nomad with a friend on a Saturday night. I have been to Barn Joo 35 before and this spot was a lot smaller. I wasn't as big of a fan of the layout and we were seated near the entrance so it was a bit chilly. The waiter brought out sparking water which was interesting since usually the default is tap. We ordered the pasta nomad noir and the galbi hot stone bowl. Both dishes were so so yummy. The pasta nomad noir featured a black pasta packed with various seafood items, from calamari to mussels. The galbi hot stone bowl featured galbi and vegetables atop a bed of rice but the ingredients mixed together to provide a variety of textures which came together cohesively. Overall, super impressed with the meal!

Yelp
This place has plenty of space (there's an upstairs) and solid service. I would say the food is on the pricier side and smaller portions. Like the army stew comes in a traditional bowl for tofu soup, usually I expect this to be a larger pot that is shareable. It was quite spicy (in a good way) and I was expecting some spam but it was mainly Vienna sausage and meatballs. I didn't get to try the hand rolls although they look good. Speaking only for their army stew, I think there are other places around the area that does it better.
google avatar

Yelp
Maybe for happy hour? The food was pretty good, the cast iron bites had the most flavor. The drinks are tiny, weak, and expensive. The worst part though was the service. Waited a long time for absolutely everything, even water, because they literally had one server for the entire first floor (inside and out). Gorgeous restaurant if that's any consolation.
google avatar

Yelp
Very cute restaurant with calm lighting comfortable seats and cozy vibes. We sat at the bar and waited for a long time to get a table. There were tables open, but there was a big party in the middle gathering all of the attention of the staff. Once seated it took a long time to get a glass of wine, and to place my order. I wasn't in a rush, but wasn't planning on being at the restaurant for 1.5 hour for 2 small app size dishes. The overall presentation of the food was amazing. There were 2 pieces of the meat that were very fatty and grizzly making it impossible to eat. Was only a bummer because there are not many pieces to begin with. I am glad I tried it, but unfortunately came at the wrong time to receive poor service, would rather have been turned away.

Yelp
This place is great for small parties but if you call ahead and make a reservation they could possibly accommodate larger groups (6-8 people). We called ahead for a table for 3 and when we arrived we didn't wait long. They even had a booster seat for our toddler. We started off with the truffle fries, calamari + nuts, and lychee martini. All were so yummy. We had the creamy kimchi udon and the fisherman's soup. It was full of flavor. We will definitely return. The servers were so nice and helpful. Our daughter loved the food as well!

Yelp
This was a casual spot with a small bar and a few tables. There also appeared to be outdoor seating when the weather was suitable. The menu offered creative Korean inspired dishes and snacks. The service was friendly while the food came out promptly. Three different appetizers were ordered and shared, the trio set of open rolls ($20), homemade steamed dumplings ($12), and steamed buns ($16). There was also a cup of soup that came that was warm and refreshing. The open rolls that were chosen were crab meat, galbi, and salmon. If I were to explain these, they were essentially "sushi tacos." Each one was also filled to capacity with filling. The crab had a crab meat mix, cucumber, daikon, sweet potato crunch, microgreens, and tobiko. This was very tasty. The crab meat appeared fresh and went well with the crunch from the sweet potato. The galbi consisted of beef short rib, galbi sauce, cucumber, Asian pear, sweet potato crunch, microgreen, and chojang. This was even better. The beef was tender while the pear gave just enough sweetness where it did not overpower the roll. Finally, the salmon had tartar sauce, tobiko, microgreen, and a sweet potato crunch. This was definitely my favorite one even if it was the simplest. The salmon seemed to be of great quality and that made all the difference. The three dumplings were filled with pork and of good size. These were solid. The pork flavor was just right, and the dumpling texture stood out as it was not too hard or soft. Regarding the steamed buns, we opted to go with a short rib filing. They came with cucumber, chayote, mixed greens, tomato, tartar, and a sweet chili sauce. These were much bigger than I thought they would be, and they were great as well. The short rib like the open roll was tender and flavorful while the actual bun held up with all the toppings that were there. I thought the buns could have been a tad more flavorful, but hardly an issue. It was an all-around great couple of dishes. Will I go back? Definitely.

Yelp
I am a BIG FAN of the dinner I had here!! The service was quick and there was no wait on a Saturday at 8 PM surprisingly. This seems to be a great date spot since their tables are primarily for two. My boyfriend and I tried the oysters to start. I was IMPRESSED to see how dressed up and high quality these were for $1.79! Bell peppers, onion, sprouts, and various sauces... this was better than most oysters you could find for triple the price! The garlic cocktail sauce was tasty and the oysters were incredibly fresh. We also tried the Sashimi Bibimbap, which had a generous portion of fish. They give the gochujang on the side, which is considerate. Everything was fresh and had a lot of texture. I definitely recommend the Uni Bibimbap though - especially with the hot stone bowl! This was heavenly! Lots of fish roe (three kinds!!) and they gave about 4-5 pieces of uni - which is great for the price. The raw egg added a lot of depth to the cripsy rice as well. Overall, an amazing meal! Sooo good I came back here twice in a week.

Yelp
We had an enjoyable time here. Good service and food was very tasty. Only recommendation, mark some items spicy that are. Chili pepper needs to be on the kimchi shrimp udon dish ;) was super spicy.

Mandy P.

Yelp
3 word description: lively, drinks, service details: i swung in to pick up a take out order on a tuesday night, and the place was packed! the restaurant was filled with chatter. food wise, i got the open rolls set (3 rolls: galbi, spicy slamon, crunchy fish). the order came out promptly and the staff tended to me as i waited at the bar. service was great! By the time I ate the food (~10 mins from when I received the food), the seaweed on the rolls were no longer crunchy. I do take some of the blame on that and wish I chose to dine in instead. However, the galbi was amazing and so was the crunchy fish. I definitely want to come back to try out their other dishes.

Yelp
I wasn't a fan of Barn Joo Nomad unfortunately, I had better experiences at Barn Joo 35. Buns were nothing special, the open rolls (handrolls) were really bad. The yellowtail was fishy (didn't taste fresh). The spicy tuna was awful, like a tuna salad. Yuck, I don't know why it was cooked. I would never expect cooked tuna in a hand roll like this. The uni didn't taste fresh either. Tiger roll was the only thing I liked here, everything else was drowning in spicy mayo.

Yelp
I've been to Barn Joo Union Sq location quite a few years ago, and this is the first time I've been to the Nomad location. I didn't know they have a second floor. We got there a little past 8pm without a reservation on a rainy Friday night and got seated right away. We ordered yuzu beer, sashimi trio, nomad bite, fisherman's soup, and Bourbon bread pudding. All the dishes we had were delicious. The fisherman's soup has regular or spicy option, and we ordered the regular option, but it tastes spicy, so they might have mixed up the order. We finished the soup regardless. The service was ok. They didn't refill the water until we asked.
google avatar

Renee K.

Yelp
This is a smaller version of the original barn joo. The service was great and the food was also good. There was some portions that were really small and some pretty decent sized. The atmosphere of the place is friendly. Overall good but nothing special.

Yelp
DELICIOUS FOOD. Creamy kimchi udon was sooooo good. So creamy, savory, and flavorful. Also the galbi was also SOOO DELICIOUS. Beef was so flavorful and soft. Cooked to perfection. I love stone bibimbap. Drinks were strong and delicious also. We got a free shot on the house. Presentation was nice. Service was good. Will deff be back

Yelp
We came here for a group work dinner and were very happy with our experience. Ambiance: The vibe of the restaurant is very nice. Great for a date night or a group get together or just a nice simple event. Service: Staff was really nice and friendly. The service was quick and they came and checked on us often. Food: I'm a vegetarian and there were plenty of options for me. I found the food to be delicious and well seasoned. I also like the creativity and uniqueness of some of the dishes. Drinks: They have really delicious drinks. There were at least a few cocktails that I wanted to try. The drink I ended up getting was excellent.

Emily P.

Yelp
I loved the food I ordered but I am writing the review about the kimchi because it was so good that I ate two large bowls of it. And then came back the next night... to eat it again. It's tangy, fresh and lovely in that it's served layered like a korean kimchi lasagna... between each cabbage leaf is the Gochugaru paste. Yum! I also ordered and loved the Fisherman's stew - great broth and fresh tasting seafood. It's a light refreshing dish. I also ordered the Tiger cocktail with turmeric and orange. Refreshing and also obsess worthy. More could be said about the good food but I had to post so people know about the kimchi... youre welcome.

Yelp
Discovered this spot when we decided we couldn't stand on the line for Kazu Nori The Original Handroll Bar. They sat us next to the window when we said we didn't have a reservation. It was pretty empty except for the bar. The size of the tables are on the smaller end and because we were sitting right next to the bar it was a bit tight. Luckily my friend and I are thin so it was fine. They bring you a clean water bottle along with cups/plates/utensils. They refill it too. We both ordered the sashimi bbim bbim bap ($25) as our mains and corn cheese ($15) as a side which didn't disappoint. It is pricey, but delicious. The service is great and the ambiance is cozy and trendy. I will be coming back in the future.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch in between meetings. Ordered the yuzu lemonade and few tapas plates. I wish I took photos but I was enjoying everything a little too much! My favorite dish was the tteok. It was cheesy chewy goodness. The fried marinaded tofu was also out of this world. Service was phenomenal and I loved that they had all the windows open to an allow the warm summer breeze through. Can't wait to visit again (and take pictures next time!)

Yelp
We squeezed 5 of us including a 1year old into a tiny table blocking the path to the bathroom for lunch on our last day in NY. Very hungry and looking for an epic experience and although a tad uncomfortable, once the food arrived...it was worth it 100%. I can't wait for an excuse to go back to NY just to visit Nomad again!!!!

Yelp
Came here because my friends from out of town wanted to check this place out. They do have other locations. Which I believe that I checked out pre covid. But each have different menu and a vibe to it. We met up at 6:30pm so reservations weren't necessary. However, more people started coming in around 7pm. Anyways, the service was great and everything, but the food was a bit lacking. I totally get the price point as it is the city. What do you expect as we all need to pay the bills??!! For food we ordered the open rolls which you can order 3 of a kind or 3 different versions or just one. Asked the waiter for his top 3 and we got those. I think an open roll is similar to a handroll. But perhaps the handroll is more filling? Got the tiger roll to share amongst the group too which was alright. The krispy seafood paella felt like it was missing something. A bit bland to me. All in all, I'm probably not going back as there's tons of restaurants in the area with better food.

Yelp
Korean fusion seems to be all the craze nowadays, and I'm so glad to have found another set of yummy restaurants to add to my go-to list! Barn Joo has three locations, and I'm told that the one we went to (in Nomad) is more suited for a full meal (as opposed to a more drinks vibe at the Ktown location). My friend and I shared the yuk gae jang ramyun and the creamy kimchi udon. The yuk gae jang was really fragrant - a perfect broth for such a cold night - and I really liked the shredded beef, which had a really good flavour and was very tender. This is the first time I've had yuk gae jang with ramyun (usually with glass noodles instead) but I am definitely a fan! It makes the dish feel more like a stew than a broth which worked really well with all the various veggies (I learned what bracken was during this meal). The udon was so yummy, too! Definitely a really powerful example of fusion cuisine, where the taste fluctuated between kimchi / stir-fried udon in some bites, and pasta carbonara in others. The sauce was not very spicy but had a nice depth, and all of the various toppings (tobiko, cheese, shrimp) really created a lot of neat combinations of flavours and textures. At first I thought the focaccia was a strange addition, but it worked surprisingly well to complement the creamy sauce and crunchy kimchi (and the bread was delicious in and of itself, too). Portion sizes were so big - we barely finished (if at all) and were absolutely stuffed by the end of our meal. Price point fantastic too, and between all that and trying all the other appetising options on the menu, I can't wait for my next visit :)

Yelp
Great spot in nomad for great Korean fusion food! I would come back for the drinks! Food: they have lunch specials even on the weekends, which is exciting! I got the crispy chicken burger, which honestly hit the spot! It was so well made and the Korean touch to a typical western dish was amazing! It came with these really crispy fries and I got the yuzu lemonade (very delicious). The chicken krispy paella was probably my favorite dish! So we'll seasoned and actually loved the crispiness of both the rice and chicken! The hwe bibimbap was the perfect summer treat! With a lot of veggies and a good amount of fish, it definitely felt more On the healthy/ lighter side! Price: reasonable given the sizes - expect to pay ~35 for a dish! Ambience: I loved the spot itself! It had this warmness about it that made it feel cozy! Service: good service! Something I found interesting was that they brought the dishes out as they were ready (as opposed to when everyone's order was ready)!

Yelp
Came with friends for dinner and their rolls were so good - not sure what the veggie they used was, but it complimented the toppings well. We stopped by with no reservation Saturday night and they seated us immediately. We also got the kimchi udon which I recommend too!

Yelp
Came at lunch. Been meaning to try this Korean fusion spot. Food was decent for the price. The sides were better than the beef paella which tasted like bibimbap tbh. The service was horrific. Waitress/hostess clearly hated her job. She was mean to the other customers and was borderline angry as us because we wanted to order. I have a high tolerance of poor service as I believe the food can make it for it. However, the food needed to be Michelin starred to make up for the service.

Yelp
Love the big moon. Big moon vibes. Loved the menu too -- Korean fusion with lots of seafood! Uni Bibimbap came in a stone pot but wow it was super hot. Lots of yummy veggies and delicious things going on! Which kinda overwhelmed the uni a bit -- while presentatin was beautiful, the composition could have centered the uni a bit more. Portion is huge like the giant moon behind me. Unagi taco! The taco was super cute and the unagi is front and center! I think the Uni Bibimbap was really unique and I'm so glad I got it. Maybe I'll get it cold next time though since it was too hot on an already hot evening.

Yelp
This Barn Joo location is more sit-down dinner vibe - and the food was a lot better than Barn Joo 35's! We had the sashimi bibimbap and cheese tteok. Both were made really well and surprisingly paired with each other nicely. The cheese with the tteok is reallllyyyy good and more on the creamy side like mozzarella. The rice cakes were also super soft. I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was because I was honestly expecting typical rice cake you'd get as a side in kbbq but this felt well put together and thought-out. Prices are reasonable and they have a second floor area for more seating. Highly rec!

Yelp
An amazing experience. Great staff and delicious delicious food. My daughter and I went here before a concert at MSG and have been talking about it since. The $1 oyster happy hour ( not exclusively at the bar) was a deal. We had their soy garlic wings which were out of this world. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We got the octopus grill and fresh Kim chi. So good! The cocktails were amazing as well. Will be back. Many times over. Also the playlist was fire!

Yelp
I've been many times to Barn Joo Nomad and every time the experience has been amazing, the drinks are awesome (I always go for the lyche martini, shout-out for my guy Jessie he is an amazing bartender), I've tried many dishes on the menu and they never disappoint, on this visit I ordered my favorite dish the sashimi trio and it was heavenly as always. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, specially the manager Michael, he makes us feel always welcome on every visit. Overall if you are looking for a great place with good food, drinks, service and atmosphere Barn Joo Nomad is definitely the place to go.

Yelp
I've been here twice and love it. The service is always attentive and the open rolls are incredibly delicious. It's a convenient easy location in Nomad. They have some unique and delicious cocktails too.

Yelp
Been there twice and both times it was a good experience. The food was good and service was nice. It was not spectacular but good for price. It's a nice meet up spot with a friend for drinks.

Yelp
I went here a while back having been unable to get into another nearby restaurant and as I liked their other location I believe 35th or similar, I figured I would like this one. As they were very crowded, I sat at the bar and the bartender was nice. To drink I got the Drunken Tiger which consisted of Japanese whiskey, turmeric, simple syrup, lemon, Ramazzotti amaro, angostura bitter, and orange bitters. This was a very tasty cocktail reminding me of an old fashioned but with a citrus kick. Plenty of alcohol but it was still balanced and I would recommend it. The only dish I decided to order was the Beef Krispy Paella which was $26. This consisted of beef short rib, onion, bell pepper, carrot, corn, bean sprout, mushroom, galbi sauce, lemon aioli, ssamjang aioli, and white rice. It also came with a single tiny banchan which was also fine. I'm not exactly sure why they are calling it a crispy paella but it was essentially their version of a hot stone bibimbap. The beef inside was tender but there wasn't that much of it. The mix of ingredients worked well in terms of crunch while the sauce was on the light end. I found the dish in short to be a little bit bland which was very surprising for how much stuff was in there and I asked for some gochujang which helped add a good amount of flavor. I know it's Nomad but I found it to be a bit overpriced. Friendly bartender. Not so good main dish but excellent cocktail. I really wish I could give this place a 3.5 but alas I cannot and as the food is more important than the cocktail, I'll give a 3.

Yelp
Surprisingly was not too crowded on a Friday night and we were seated immediately. The happy hour oysters are a must if you come here. They are extremely fresh and sweet. We also got the stone/regular bibimbap and truffle fries. I got the stone bibimbap which was delicious and I would definitely get it again. The truffle fries were also a good snack while we waited for our food. Overall, great ambiance and food!
