Dawson who served us was excellent, friendly and regularly checked on our table. Restaurant looks good, food came out in good time. Had the club sandwich which excellent, fries however not seasoned. Burger was tasty. We also had the chicken and sausage gumbo which was spot on. Will definitely return.

Five star experience. Service and atmosphere: Service was outstanding. All staff members were professional, knowledgeable, helpful and very attentive. The restaurant was clean, organised and well decorated giving it the modern look. Food and drinks: This restaurant offers great selection of various dishes on their menu. I like that the breakfast items are served all day. Anyone can find here good options to choose from. My petite steak with eggs was cooked to order and came out perfect. Very good seasoning. We ordered pizza too and it was delicious. Generous toppings and good flavours. You can order here alcoholic beverages to accompany your meals. Pricing: $$ - definitely worth the overall experience. Ordered the pesto chicken salad sandwiche combo to go and it was soooo good! The packaging is so cute too but really this sandwich was so delicious and fresh and it was a super quick to go order at lunchtime on a Thursday.

Completely disappointed today. Craving the meatloaf and went there for lunch. I normally order two meatloafs at the Fountainview location. There brought me the meatloaf and I immediately said the sauce looks different. The server said try and tell me if you don’t like it. It was basically marinara sauce that they tried to pass off. If it wasn’t available just say so. Their meatloaf is known for the unique and tasty sauce and it is a shame that it was served that way. Also order sliders for the kids and they forgot the cheese and we had to add from our grill cheese.

Barnaby’s in Spring Branch is an easy five stars. This location is every bit as good as the other Barnaby’s spots around Houston, with the same consistently fresh, flavorful food, generous portions, and a menu that works for picky eaters and adventurous ones alike. The service here matches what people love about the other locations: friendly, efficient, and genuinely attentive without being over the top. The dining room has that familiar, relaxed neighborhood feel Barnaby’s is known for, so it works just as well for a quick weekday lunch as it does for a laid‑back weekend meal.

🐾 Barnaby’s Café at the Long Point location is absolutely one of my favorite spots in Houston! Irving, our server, provided excellent service—so friendly and attentive. The food is exquisite, and the portions are very generous. It’s also a super clean, pet-friendly, and LGBT+ welcoming place, which makes the atmosphere even better. Highly recommend the Spicy Crispy Chicken Wontons and the Chicken Fried Steak—both are outstanding! Pair it with their refreshing, natural Strawberry Lemonade, and don’t leave without trying the forever best Carrot Cake. An all-around excellent place I’ll always recommend!

Barnaby’s Café ( Long Point ) Lunchtime Review (October 9, 2025) Casual Dining Google Maps gave slightly confusing directions, but once we arrived, the restaurant had a nice, clean, and well-decorated ambiance — cozy and welcoming overall. We were greeted quickly and seated without a long wait, which was great. Unfortunately, our server wasn’t very friendly and seemed to have a nonchalant attitude throughout the visit. When I asked if I could substitute an item (and even offered to pay an upcharge), his response was indifferent, almost as if it was an inconvenience. He also never came by to refill my coffee. The speed of service was normal, and the menu variety was impressive. Prices were reasonable, and the presentation was appealing. The taste and quality of the food were excellent, and the temperature was fine — everything looked and tasted fresh. However, when my meal arrived, I found a hair wrapped around the broccoli and into the petite steak. The manager handled it professionally, apologized, and comped the meal from our bill — but it was definitely unpleasant and disappointing to experience. Overall, I’d say Barnaby’s Café has a great atmosphere and delicious food, but the service quality and food handling could use improvement.

We had a great meal here. Every one of the staff was delightful and helpful, and great with the children present. We didn't have to wait long for our order, and even though our server Angel hadn't written anything down, every single part of our order (6 people) was correct, including multiple exceptions for dietary restrictions. The strawberry lemonade was particularly delicious and the fries were cooked perfectly, as were the burgers. Would definitely recommend.

Came to this restaurant with a work group and was pleasantly surprised. Our group of 11 was accommodated promptly (without reservations) and the service was great. Portions were huge and the food was tasty. Will definitely come back whenever I'm on that side of town. I throughly enjoyed my entree. There are other restaurants in the shopping center and the parking lot was packed but I was able to get a park close by.

Service is nice and friendly. I placed an order to go and when I arrived a worked opened the door... chivalry is not dead. We were greeted when we walked in. They made sure we had ketchup and straws. The order was made to order and was delicious. The Chinese Chicken Salad (chicken was tender and the greens were fresh, so glad the dressing is separated so I can administer as much as I want), sweet potato fries (yummy) and strawberry lemonade (refreshing) so good. This is a family friendly place with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a shared parking lot in a strip center.

I really want to like this place I do, but I felt there were to many things that added up to be disappointed at. The burgers were supposed to be cooked medium, both came out almost rare (the reviews are pretty consistent with this issue), fries were mid temp and felt like they had been left out a while. The appetizers really were the saving point as the wontons were really the best with flavor and temperature . Felt almost rushed out even on Sunday at 3 when it looked like they were doing shift changes. If you're thinking a late lunch you might want to go elsewhere.

Still a family friendly spot for a casual lunch and dinner. Food options are varied and plentiful. Favorites include the chips with blue cheese dip, pizzas are good their way or build your own, salads are massive and the burger is good. Service is friendly. Wine options are limited but value priced. Enjoy.

I heard how dog-friendly these cafés were and decided to bring my boy for his birthday. Everything was great! Delicious food all around. My dog thought so too! Reasonable prices with large portions. The straw-mosa was also very tasty and hit the spot on the hot day that it was. Our waiter was helpful with decisions and perfectly attentive. The patio was spacious and shaded very well so it's still enjoyable in the hotter weather.

We had lunch on Wednesday. The salads were delicious, service was perfect and friendly.

Great place for lunch and they serve breakfast all day! I have visited twice once I had breakfast during lunch and the second I had a burger and fries. Both times the food and experience was excellent. The service was very good as well. The last time my guest had the carrot cake and it was a very very big slice. He said it was very good. I do recommend and will be visiting again.

Super cute diner/cafe! Decor is very lively and inviting. We were visiting from Central Tx, and left very satisfied. The food is wonderful, and generous portions. The menu has a nice amount of variety. My boyfriend got the sausage & pepper pizza, and I got a chicken mill plate. The only suggestion I would have is for the chicken plate to have mashed potatoes or home fries, rather than French fries. However, both of us loved our food and the ingredients were sooooo fresh. My chicken had the PERFECT char and grill marks. The pizza toppings were fresh and the cheese pull was nice. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Other staff jumped in the help us when she wasn't available. The staff definitely takes care of the customer and they are all friendly. We are so glad we stopped by Barnaby's!!

Barnabys is our go to spot. Their menu has such diversity that you can pick most anything that you're in the mood for. The staff are personable and atmosphere is chill. Hands down one of the best spots in Spring Branch.

This was a great little place that I visited while on a work trip in the area service was great for whatever reason seemed kind of awkward at first but afterwards it was fine. I ordered the sausage and pepper pizza and it was really good. The crust was a little different kind of a crunchy sourdough with a little bit of chew to it. I sat outside on the patio and that was nice. We'll definitely be back to try some of their other items on future trips for work.

Always a good experience. Have been enjoying lunches there the last 7 weeks in a row. Consistently good food, ginormous salads, really wide variety of meatloaf, burgers, Tex-Mex, grilled chicken, chicken fried steak, etc..... Team based service, you're never without iced tea or water refills. Casual atmosphere, seat yourselves, meals show up quickly in case you need a quick lunch.

My Finance and I just moved to the area and so we stopped in to try this little cafe. We both got salads which were huge and full of chicken definitely worth the price! Highly recommend getting the sweet potato fries the homemade bbq sauce that comes with them is absolutely delicious! The staff were beyond nice and attentive. The restaurant is definitely casual and is perfect if you are looking to grab a quick bite. Our food came out pretty quick. I can't wait to go back and I am glad this is so close to our house.

This location may not be in the best area but still great . Looked grass inside with holiday decir I had a ceasar grilled chicken salad fresh and great the chicken was a little bland and dry but no biggie . Service was quick .

So let me start with I absolutely love Barnaby's and specifically I typically love this location. Today I placed an Uber eats order with this location, ordering the salmon and in a note I asked for it to be cooked on the rare side and when I got my food, it was as well done as I've ever had, unfortunately, Uber eats even in their ratings does not list overcooked as an option if you did not like something so hoping that the restaurant will read this, please pay attention to the notes because this makes me never want to order from you again, which is sad because we all know how good you are. Please please please please pay attention to the notes, I even checked my receipt on the bag to see if that note made it and it did and it was still ignored.

First time trying Barnaby's, we wanted more brunch kind of food vs actual lunch. This location has a very small and limited breakfast options so if you're into brunch and breakfast this location (along point) is not it. But they do have a variety of full lunch and dinner meal options! We enjoyed everything we got, the wings were my favorite! So freakin good! All of our meals tasted great, they were sweet and savory and the fries and potatoes were crisp!

I loveeee this place! I always get the Buffalo Burger and the fries are the best. Thin, crispy and delicious!

Ordered to go lunch and ample parking in Long Point. Area is mixed and slightly sketchy at places, the shopping plaza is fine during the day, but I'd feel less comfortable walking here at night. My mushroom Swiss burger and fries were great and they gave me a lot of condiments. I'm not sure I like the payment screen it automatically places different tips and there's not a place to put in a different amount - it forces you to put the tip before you pay. Recommended if you are in the area, but I will probably stick with the River Oaks and Woodward for convenience and safety.

The food was delivered quickly and the bag was sealed shut . Everything tasted delicious and we will be ordering again or going in person soon !

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. I had the chicken fried steak with eggs and potatoes, everything was cooked perfectly and the white queso was absolutely delicious! It's the kind of meal and service that makes you want to come back.

Used to be good and clean now it's a pigs den with rude employees and manager. I have been going for over 9 years now and never got treated like I did last month. The employee at the check out counter picked up a trash from the floor and went on to proceed checking my take out bag - when I told him to stop he looked at me like I was a pest . I told him to not go thru my food when he didn't wash his hands after picking up some trash off the floor. Like it's basic hygiene and health especially when serving food. I paid and left and was like you gonna start sweeping with your hands after. I called and spoke to the manager which said " I stand by my employees " if you stand next to service like this you don't need to be a manager either. Stay cautious when coming to eat here.

Great food, great service, food came out quick. We had the chicken and waffles (amazing you have to try) and the steak and eggs (great steak). We will be back!0

The Food was amazing, I had the white queso with chips, the queso was hot to eat, just enough spicy and the chips were fresh and crunchy, Followed by the Bleu Cheese Wedge Salad Crispy Iceberg Lettuce and Bacon were what I received, Service was great aside from our Main server(Aron! very polite) we were treated and assisted with other servers throughout the meal The Ambiance we clean friendly and inviting The manager was also present She was sweet and friendly to talk to! :)

Great food, great service. Friendly staff. Casual dining experience. The new location is bigger and brighter. Much more welcoming. We used to go to the Woodway location almost weekly but this is the first time at the new location. Comfort food that is really good. The menu has stayed the same but this location also does pizza. Still only beer and wine. Many of the staff from Woodway is here now so it was refreshing to see familiar faces. Spinach dip is good, portions are huge. Many burgers and tortas. The chicken dishes are my go-to. Will definitely be coming more often.

I went here with friends and I always get the chicken Caesar salad. It's the best and biggest around, but I wanted to try a sandwich. I got the salad to go and got the tuna burger medium with fries. It was cooked correctly and the romelaude sauce and shredded romaine made the sandwich delish. The only negative were the fries were just okay. I wanted house made ones; these were thin freezer fries. It was a big sandwich so I had to box it up. The place was clean and staff were nice. The waiter was kind of in a rush but I'm told that's the way they are here so you get food fast. Polite on the way out as well. My one friend had the Chinese chicken salad which I tried. If you like peanuts, that's the salad for you. My other friend had the Cobb. She could only finish half and it was very full of toppings.

Yes...!!!!Old School...one inch thick..half pound patty..cooked to order...no smashing out the juice and the flavor..all condiments available and more...annnnd haystack of fries included in the price.....BAM ......!!!!!

When walking in we were greeted with a smile and told to sit where ever we'd like. They had an array of booths, tables, high tops, and patio seating. Our waitress was friendly and patient while we took entirely too long to decide on the most basic drinks. My sprite came in a can while the lemonade came in a cool glass milk jug. We both opted for salads, and were very surprised by how big the portions are, seriously the photos don't do it justice. They were both really good and we had to take leftovers home. We also ordered the bowl of fries and they were delicious. We noticed as other entrées went by, portions were also very generous, and it seemed like every plate was overflowing with french fries. Bathrooms were clean and there was ample parking.

My daughter and I went to Barnaby's for lunch. We split a delicious quesadilla. Each of us had an iced tea. Tea was really good. We also ordered a sausage and pepper pizza to go for dinner. Everything was delicious. Pizza was fabulous. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. Loved this restaurant!

A new location and closer to me! This is a great neutral restaurant for family and friends because everyone can find something to it. It's very casual and welcoming. The only real frill is the kindness of the staff. The foods well priced, it's good, it's simple. Special shout-out to their mimosas. Also always be prepared for ALOT of food,

If you have an occasional sweet tooth and it's for good ole American double crust pie with a delicious scope of ice cream to cool the pie while adding flavors or to place just a scoop to barely melt and devour.....this the place. Now? To be fair? nothing else intrigues me or makes me want to order a meal or appetizer. They do have good-looking dishes, but they seem huge and probably end up in the garbage, which why should I waste food with so many starving in Houston! So just apple pie it is. It's soooooo good. With thick crust and juice, cinnamony and vanilla tastes with small hints of lemon to keep those apples from turning brown. I don't know if they make their ice cream from scratch ,but it tastes so good, like a hint of caramel and extra vanilla. So good and hey, try some of the food for me, will ya? I'm sticking to that apple pie unless I can be convinced otherwise.

This has to be my go-to spot in the Spring Branch area. While the prices might seem a little high at first, you'll be relieved when you see the size of their portions. The House Salad with Grilled Chicken comes with an entire chicken breast. And the Classic Clubhouse is just an all around awesome sandwich. Their menu provides for any sort of craving you could have, and they execute well on all of them.

Always my go to! I love coming here for a healthy dinner of salmon and asparagus. And gotta love those endless refills of strawberry lemonade! And I always order for my dog...just $5-$6 for a very generous dish of chicken and rice. If you're full but still want a sliver of something sweet, they offer a baby brownie a la mode, Warm brownie with the most delicious vanilla ice cream! If I do have my dog with me, they welcome us in the front patio. They make sure to bring out cold refreshing water for your pup.

Came here for a late lunch on Monday. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Decor is very colorful and fun. Seems family friendly. Plenty of seating! I love that they source their beef and chicken locally and humanely. I would give 5 stars just for that. I ordered a cheeseburger. They cook the burgers to order - I asked for medium. Delicious and generously portioned. A mountain of fries! They do waffle fries and sweet potato fries too.

Great location, food and service. Went weeks ago. Called today, Friday June 21, 2024, and they are NOT closed, as Yelp says some reported. I usually have their salads, but their lasagna is good also.

Well, my last two times I bought pizza! Half pepperoni , half pull pork. It wasn't cook right with less pull pork. The second no vegetables at all. Little pull pork. I ask for jap to be on the side he said they're only grill when they are only on the pizza. I made a comment about it Fernando The old guy with the red hair. If I wanted the jap they should have been grill not cold.Then I complained on how little pork was on the pizza he took it back and put more on top of the pizza but the meat was cold. Rudy was the one who introduced that to me my first time. So I decided not to come back anymore. Unless I know Rudy is there. He was very nice making sure my pizza was like I like it. Not only did he suggested up sale. I was very happy with the results. I suggest that to a few friends they said it must be different cooks on Sunday than a Thursday night. Rudy doesn't work Sundays. So that's why I won't go back or I'll call first. Mr Fernando will never wait on me. On top of my pizza being hard and over cooked looking dark like sweet potato pie. I don't judge folks but he doesn't look professional enough for me. Thanks Rudy great customer service is epic, friendly and always with a smile.

Spring Branch is hopping these days with a restaurant row! First off, ample open lot parking. The interior has big Christmas-like balls hanging from the ceiling -- fun. It's spacious inside, not too loud even though it was fairly full. Service was spot on. They do have wine and beer. $7 Mimosa -- not bad! I noted there were a number of women dining together -- gal pal kind of thing. Nice to be comfortable. The menu has something for everyone. I had the chicken Caesar salad. Delicious and more than I could eat. Generous portion. Just a comfortable, low-key kind of place.

the bacon blue cheese burger is fantastic. delicious and great portion size. our server Edwin was great! salad was ok.

I always look for places that are dog friendly. So glad Barnaby's opened a location in Spring Branch. I bought my dog with me for a quick bite to eat. I love their wedge salad. It comes with two thick slices of bacon. I decided to try a Guacamole Burger with Sweet Potato fries. I ordered a strawberry mimosa for my drink. For my pup, they give dog water bowls. I ordered him chicken and brown rice. Safe to say he enjoyed it too. Our server was nice and attentive. They also had a great selection of music playing. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed some good food!

I've been a customer of this company since 1997. One of the best attributes of your company was the diversity in the staff and how attentive they were to me. I spent a lot of time with many of your employees some which are still working for you. More over really glad there's a location in the neighborhood I grew up in, Spring Branch. But ... with the exception of Christy, have no concept of what your company has done for me over the years - be attentive, pay attention. I walked in on 01/11/24 and was told to seat myself. One server saw sit down and that's it. He did nothing else. I sat for 5 to 10 mins with no drink - so left. I did mention my issue with the greeter but left anyway. Needless to say I left very disappointed. Please fix this because I really like Barnaby's. Thank you, Micah

This is a casual dining spot with great food in large quantities. You don't have to wait tobe seated--just pick a table. Their perfectly seasoned, crispy side of fries could easily be halved and the serving would still be generous! The menu has plenty of variety. I chose the Coronado Beef plate which was topped with cheese, tomatoes and green onions. I was too full to try dessert, but the selection looked inviting. This is a great addition to Spring Branch!

The service and overall vibe has deteriorated at the Binz location since they fired their only manager...Tommy! I give this location six (6) more months.

Stick to the salads! Barnaby's used to offer excellent food but we have decided they are only good for salads after last night's dinner. My meatloaf was tasty but the broccoli was raw, cold and lacked seasoning. The mashed potatoes were microwaved poorly as parts were hot and parts cold. My wife's burger was raw, not medium as requested and stated on the menu. The fries were excellent. Fortunately there are better joints in the neighborhood for burgers.

Recently, our group of 5 had dinner here. The restaurant is in a strip center and at 6:00 pm there was plenty of parking. Some of the things we had were the Spinach & Artichoke dip, guacamole, Chipotle Black bean burger & fries, meatloaf, pork chops, chicken fried steak, and chicken mediterranean salad. For dessert, they had the carrot cake. Everything was delicious. I did get the baby brownie a la mode. I have to say I'd pass on it in the future. It was just big enough for 2 bites. While I know the point of it being "baby" sized, I still felt $3.00 for 2 bites was a bit much. Otherwise, I was very pleased with everything else. Our server was wonderful. All in all, we enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back.

We had a group of about 25 people take over the patio area yesterday afternoon, and I can't say enough great things about our experience. Barnaby's doesn't do reservations, but I had been reaching out to them over the past few weeks, just to give them a heads up. I selected this location for our gathering because of the great parking access. Fernando and Maritza made us feel welcome, made sure we had everything we needed, and took great care of us. Everyone loved the dishes they selected!

More great food. Tried the hamburger and is was cooked perfect. Wonderful flavor. Awesome service again. All locations are 5 star.
