The customer service employee, the cashier and the manager were all very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the 2 books I was looking to purchase were not available in store but they were able to order them for me and have them shipped to my home address. The store is clean and organized and the displays are asthetically pleasing.

My online order was canceled by their algorithm. I received no notification of the cancellation. I had to call customer service myself after waiting a few weeks. After that, 2 of my 3 pick up orders were cancelled due to the item not actually being on stock. Now 2 of the 5 items I originally ordered and now sold out. Hands down the least satisfying experience I have had in years. I am moving on to another retailer.

Ordered a book online through Google. Entering the store was a treat. They have curated excellent toys, games, books. I'll definitely be coming back for holiday gifts, Birthdays, etc.

Stopped by Barnes & Noble while traveling and it did not disappoint! The store was very clean, the staff were super kind, and the selection was solid, especially for travel books, which was exactly what I was hunting for. I had a great time browsing and will definitely be back whenever I’m in town. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a welcoming, well-stocked bookstore.

They had an engaging interview with Jason Dohring and his experience with the book "Dianetics: Modern Science of Mental Health". It was intriguing. Some "Veronica Mars" fans were there, so I learned about that show, and that was another plus! The crowd was upbeat, Jason connected with us, and there was this amazing pizza afterwards - it was great! Afterwards, I spent some time looking around at the many books there. It'd been a while, and it was good to hang out in that space.

I’m a Spanish reader, so I went to look for Spanish books! There’s a section of around 5 or 6 bookshelves of Spanish books! They have some special editions too! Workers are very kind 💕

My daughter and I enjoy wandering through the store and talking about books and life,be specially on rainy days during the holidays. You can spend hours in this place, especially if you take a break to get a coffee.

I love coming here. Its a drive but worth it. Customer service is always on point! Very welcoming! The books are organized and its always neat. They always have the popular books on hand. Parking its an issue.

Just walked in here today and I was really stunned at how many people there are. It honestly reminds me of the book boom in Korea. The books remind me of my elementary school's library and I got to enjoy the stationery. The employees are really kind and helpful as one of them explained to me where to find the stationery. Another cashier really impressed me with his attitude and service. I was really impressed by him.

- ~ * SUPER NEAT & STOCKED INSIDE * ~ - This Barnes & Noble isn't dead silent (like the others I've been to) which makes my visit here enjoyable! I love their little recommendation tabs that they have on books. Their Studio Ghibli section & cd section always have great things. They are very limited so get them while you can!

Love coming here for random trips or if I need something specific. The service is always great, the selection isn't too bad, and the value of its items seems decent. Love looking at all the crafts, gadgets, and random finds they have hidden around the area. Love coming to this location.

Stopped by Barnes & Noble hoping to find a new book, but the selection felt a bit limited. I browsed for a while, but the prices were pretty steep compared to online. The café looked nice, but it was packed, so I skipped it.It's a cozy place to wander around, but nothing really stood out. Ended up leaving without buying anything and just ordering the book online instead.

I love this Barnes & Noble! It's close-by to so many yummy food places and is one of the perfect places to decompress after running some errands or doing some shopping. The staff at this location is always so kind to me and really helpful when it comes to finding books (even if they are obscure authors that they don't carry LOL). I always take advantage of their buy 1, get one 30% (or 50% if you're lucky!!) deals when I swing by for some books. I'm always so particular with my books and how they look, and this Barnes & Noble does an excellent job at keeping their collection as pristine as they can. I look forward to coming back again soon

It's so nice to be able to walk into a book store and look through books. I'm grateful for Barnes and Noble still having physical stores. The store is beautiful! The staff were so helpful. It has a great coffee shop inside with tables and chairs to sit and relax while you read. It's a great place to spend a few hours. I will be headed back again soon.

I love everything about the Fullerton location. I like that it's right by my nails salon, Papillon, a few places to eat---by the way avoid Hoshi sushi I got food poisoning there---Aside from that. I love everything here. I have made some really lovely collections and hauls of books, here, and connections with employees. The only thing I want Barnes & Noble corporate to do is take Afterpay. Make it so! Today I purchased some of the books during their big double reward, sale, and one of them that I'm super excited about is basically about a squatter finding romance. Back when Barbie the movie first came out they also had a great deal of Barbie treats. Not to mention some of the prettier dolls that I grew up with the 80s and 90s. Can't wait for more lovely trips to my favorite Barnes & Noble's. I also really do like the café at this one. I'm not trolling I know some other people were not so thrilled and I'm sorry for their experience. I also like the Harney and sons tea.

This is probably one of the biggest Barnes & Noble I've been to. They had a very large selection of books which I loved. I passed by a lot of the workers and no one acknowledged me or any one by me. One worker was in front of the kids area as well and they were just standing there so there was no good service. I'm not sure if they should acknowledged the customers but they didn't they would talk amongst each other though. They had a lot of sales going on which was also nice. The prices aren't to bad overall they are pretty reasonable. Based of the book selection 8/10 I feel like it could be a bit more organized and clean but that's a personally opinion.

I've been on a kindle kick lately making good use of my library card. The Housemaid has been on my list for a while and the OC libraries don't have it available. I decided to treat myself to a new book and I'm glad I did. I forgot how lost you can get in a Barnes and Noble and I almost left with a stack of books. The real standout at this location was the staff. There were at least four instances where I encountered staff checking in with guests throughout their experience asking if they needed help. They stopped what they were doing to help shoppers find the books they were looking for with such a great attitude. I also loved how many stands there were for book recommendations. They even had little fun ones like the "blind date" recommendations wrapped in brown paper with a small description. It's so creative and a fun way to entice visitors for something new to read. I signed up for their new rewards program that allows you to get stamps for your purchases. After signing up I receive a $1 off coupon for a grande or venti iced coffee from the in-store Starbucks. While I was checking out for my coffee I stumbled on chocolate frogs with a free wizard card. Safe to say that it was a great Barnes and Noble trip and I can't wait to come back.

The staff is always helpful! The place is clean and organized. It's a wonderful place to chill for a bit. The selection they have for books and board games is amazing! Though any of the items there you can find online for a cheaper value, you pay a little more for the enjoyable experience

This review is for the cafe only. The one lady that works there is not very nice or accommodating to a certain group of people. I have seen how different her reaction and service is towards others by greeting them and asking if they need anything else with a smile. It is quite bizarre the stark difference in treatment.

Weird vibe in this place. They are quick to tell you where to sit and monitor you with a preying eye. You could no longer sit in a corner and enjoy a good read anymore. Men's room is atrocious and the urinal has been sealed off for weeks.

You know that golden era where bookstores were just- around? Borders and Barnes & Noble and no Amazon, no kindle (I love ebooks), no - fancy way to get a book instantly but to have to check for that new release and finally seeing it on display and begging your mom to buy it for you "one last time." That's what it feels like going to Barnes & Noble - like a moment of nostalgia mixed with modern day. Gotta hand it Midnight Sun for getting me back to reading and for BookTok for keeping me hooked. I came to get a copy of Poppy War but unfortunately, they didn't have a good copy of Burning God (They ordered it for me but I found it at another B&N). I've also purchased a few trendy books (which I've learned to read first before committing) - man books are expensive!! Anyways - the popular books are always in stock, and it feels cleaner than other stores. Staff is great! And friendly - especially when I was trying to talk about Rin (Poppy War) Is there a book club I can join?

I love my local Barnes & Noble! The staff here is always very friendly and helpful. They usually always have what I'm looking for when I go in. The fantasy & young adult sections are huge and I feel like this location definitely has more variety than others I've been too. I came to a midnight release party here for a new release and the activities they had planned were well thought out and so much fun! All the staff was super into the event as well and the whole thing was so much fun.

We came in for the annual sale on hardcovers and I am glad I did! I came needing assistance and Victoria was very helpful, knowledgeable, and overly pleasant! She deserves major recognition for her amazing skills and outstanding customer service! Also, thanks Victoria for helping me save an additional 10% off on top of the 33% our kitchen is going to be fully stocked with beautiful cookbooks!

This Barnes & Noble is clean, has a great selection, and helpful staff. Special shout out to Victoria, she was especially helpful and kind while we processed some returns and exchanges from the big end of year sale. Will definitely be back for more books soon!

Since there aren't that many B&N branches, I had visited B&N Fullerton prior to the Pandemic as well~Similar to the other 2 branches, there's a section for studying/reading. The restrooms were clean here as well as other branches. Parking was easy-to-find due to this branch is located inside the 'Amerige Heights Plaza,' Just sayin'....

Been going here for years, never had a bad experience. Everything is always organized and well kept, great selections of everything. Always had friendly staff. Overall very pleasant.

Ordered a coffee at the starbucks that was served to me with the barrista knowing the lid was going to cause the coffee to spill all over my white shirt, new jacket, and pants. The barrista said to me "oh yeah, the lids have been doing that" and then asked me if I wanted a straw, but offered no paper towels while I stood there with coffee dripping off my shirt, jacket, and pants. I had to ask for paper towels and she resumed her barrista job like nothing happened. WTF.

I always go to this particular Barnes N Noble to look around and sit at the Starbucks. They have a good variety of books and 9/10 times have what I'm looking for. Staff is very friendly and helpful! It is a little more expensive than Amazon, but the prices aren't too bad and I'm happy to support the business. Their products are sometimes cheaper on their website and they price match in-store. I love to visit and shop for books, gifts, and CDs!

This place is nice. I take my daughter here cause she likes to read and always comes home with a book. It's always clean and the staff here are really helpful and nice.

I still love walking into a bookstore. You can't beat the experience of browsing in person. I'm so glad this site is still around and relatively close by. The prices aren't as good as Amazon, but it's worth a little more to make sure real bookstores stay around. My daughter loves the large selection of manga. My only complaint is the bathrooms. I don't mind an older, dated bathroom as long as it's clean. I can understand many stores are short staffed, but at least get a cleaning company in there once a week. I'm sure the sinks haven't been scrubbed in years.

Very rude unprofessional service from management. They start announcing they will be closing in 1 hour and repeat the announcement every 5 -10 minutes. To me that feels like GET OUT NOW WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE! Now they have an employee at the door turning customers away from 15 minutes before they close ..... no wonder they are on the brink of bankruptcy. In addition we had to ask for the movie we wanted to purchase and while she was very helpful, We decided to pass on one of the movies and asked if she wanted us to put it on the shelf, she said no, indicating she wanted to keep it in the back room so the people who really want it can get it. That makes absolutely no sense as most people won't ask if they don't see it and it also prevents people from making an impulse buy. No wonder they are on the brink of bankruptcy.

The checkout staff is always so kind but lately the customer service desk has been nearly hostile anytime I approach asking for help.

I want to start off saying that this used to be my favorite barns and nobles to hang out at with my kids like 10 years ago! Today I was out Christmas shopping and let me say the staff was amazing I felt like I had a personal shopper. The employees went above and beyond to help me find all my gifts on my list so much so that they even had to find some items in the back stock room because they were out of season. Now for the issues.... My boyfriend needed to use the restroom but there was a sign saying that they were closed. My boyfriend asked how the employees what happened when they needed to use the restroom? They told us that the bathroom issue has been going on for weeks and they had to run to other shops to use the restroom in the shopping plaza and that a plumber has been there a few times and tells them that they were fixed but there were huge puddles of standing water and customers walk in there and then there is dirt and water all over! I hope that management will do something soon to resolve this issue but I don't plan on spending time shopping here until the restrooms are fixed and I feel bad for the very nice and helpful employees who have to work during the holidays in these not so clean hygiene environment.

this is probably one of my favorite barnes and noble. its pretty well kept for the most part. they have a great selection and always have stuff in stock. especially new vinyls.

had to come here 2 times cuz i was looking for a special magazine. all the workers are old. they didnt have what i was looking for. they gave me weird looks. dont tell people u have something when u dont. im never comming back here again. plus theres weird chicks outside begging for money

I frequent this place but only because this is the closest B&N to me. I love taking my time looking around & every single time I go here, they look so irritated. Today, I was by the customer service desk & I overheard one of the associates complain to another one about being pissed that a customer was coming back and forth with questions.

Visited this location yesterday 9/1. The store itself is very nice but the staff not so much. I had better customer service at the DMV earlier that morning. The cashier was not nice, and neither was the barista. I doubt I will go back.

Support your local bookstore! The sad truth is, this is my local bookstore. Barnes & Noble is now the "little guy". But you know what? Besides some very cool local used bookstores in the area, this is all I have! And I'll take. I do like this location. Not quite as big as some of the two story locations, there is still plenty here to look through. One of my favorite things is just aimlessly wandering through a bookstore and that's definitely accomplishable here. It also helps that (almost all) of the employees I've interacted with have been friendly/helpful. I've even gotten into some interesting book conversations with them, which was nice. They have an oddly large and impressive selection of non-book merch like toys and Funko Pops. And while it's not really my thing while I'm here, whatever works and gets people through the door, right?

Still around but not as cool and good anymore after Amazon...book prices are not so competitive. But they have a ton of toys now- Starbucks is still there but not sure if it is the same with so many great coffee places these days. Still a good place to take your kids to see what books look like and make them sort of get interested in books.

I love this place but why is it SO DAMN HOT IN THE BUILDING?! Management at Barnes and Noble, please fix this issue. Lol

April 2021. This is the only place I can find the Consumer report magazine. I've checked every major store. Excellent customer service. Very organized they changed there layout in this store. Keep holding on B&N. You guys are the best. I'll be back to pick up a book. I recommend this place.

a lady working here was so rude to me and made me feel so unwelcomed. her name is JULIE and she was working in the games section on 2/26/24. i was having such an amazing day walking dogs, running errands, and to end my day i come to barnes n nobles to treat myself since i have two gift cards. i buy things that i like for gardening, my anniversary, and my cousin who is 4. so im looking in the games section for learning games and fun kids games. i'm minding my own business looking at puzzles and checking the pieces out and she interrupts my peace with the rudest comment, i cant even remember rn because i'm shaking. i had asked her if she worked here and she ignored my question with another rude comment. she NEVER politely asked me to put away the pieces of the puzzle. i asked her again if she works here and she said yea in a degrading tone (like i'm supposed to know she works here) mind you she didn't look like she works here besides the small lanyard on her front that i couldn't see cuz she was walking sideways. once she told me she indeed works here i got up right away and put away the puzzle and left to check out my things, because i did not want to be in her rude horrible presence. JULIE, you work as customer service, you can't be talking to customers like you talk to people at home. you need to have a nice demeanor and not put down customers for mistakes they make/or their ignorance to the store policy. it's YOUR job to correct them nicely, not put customers down and make them feel unwelcomed. do better julie or get another job that ISNT required to be civil to customers.

Barnes and Noble Fullerton provides the best manga deals out of all the Orange County based stores! I follow their Instagram (@bnfullerton) and Tiktok (@bnfullerton) to keep up to date on their sales. At the time of this post, there's a "Buy 1, Get 1 - 50% Off Manga" sale and I've noticed it lasts for a couple months before they decide to end it. I've also seen great deals on their Light Novels, Graphic Novels, and some of their manga will end up in the Book Annex with an additional discount! The staff who work in the manga section are old school otaku - they have endless recommendations on lesser known titles which is a big plus since mainstream manga is harder to collect due to ongoing delays with publishers exporting printer jobs and keeping up with demand. Overall, the staff at B&N Fullerton are friendly, helpful and have amazing suggestions, no matter what you're in the mood to read!

Just posted this on another site, wanted to post here as well. Came here last night, went to get a coffee at 8:45, store closes at 9. Was told by the barista, as he's walking away from me, that they're closed. Asked him what time they closed. Seemed to catch him off-guard. He pauses, then says, '8:45.' I said, 'Not 9, huh?' 'Nope.' Seemed like he was lying. Confirmed today by calling the store that he was. What's more, I saw on another site that there were complaints about this same exact type of behavior, from as much as three years ago, and one reviewer even suspected racism. He complained to the manager, said they didn't even seem to care. This store is just bad, man. Really bad customer service, and now the plot thickens with a potential racist barista with a grudge. Sounds like a bad parody of a movie. Really bad customers have to deal with this, and even worse that the store don't appear to care. Shop somewhere else or just by your books online. The Amazon driver throwing the package at your front door offers better customer service than this store.

i specifically went in the store and ask if they have kano demon slayer pop and the lady at the customer service says no its not in store yet and she specifically told methat they can not hold or reserve it because its a first come first serve. so next week comes i went in the store out of curiosity if they got their kanao demon slayer and to my disappointment she said that they receive them but they are all reserve and hold hold ffor other customer. I told her about the first come, forst serve and no reservation and they cant hold it for customer and she was just looking at the same paper that has a print out of kanao which the other lady that told me about the first come first serve why holding the paper saying the company has sent that restriction about this pop. but thankfully the barnes and noble at long beach town center that i call if they have them and told me that they do not reserve and hold it for customer cuz its a first come first serve, i was able to purchase one its a 13 minutes drive but atleast they are honest unlike the people at the barnes and noble malvern store which are misleading and not friendly like you cant ask them for help.

Just got back from there and felt that the staff weren't as nice as in the pre-covid days. At least, not to me. One was cold and left me hanging, and the other was impatient. Oh well. Hope they will get better customer service when they go shopping somewhere. And, I'm not looking forward to visit the store any more.

Walk down the street to the real Starbucks to get yourself real coffee, the staffs that work at Starbucks inside this location have no idea what they are doing. Ordered 3 different coffee types and they kept asking me literally how to make them..sorry I'm not a barista. Ordered a pistachio cold brew, where they displayed a giant poster saying "new item" and they gave me a latte pretty much saying it's the same thing. They definitely need proper training on how to make simple coffee

Went there today and purchased a coffee and decided to it purchase a few books. After a few minutes of being inside I was approached by very rude associate who claimed that I should not have a drink with me and that I cannot have it in the store. He acted like I was committing a crime and tried following me out with it. Guess he had nothing better to do.

Been a while since I've last visited a Barnes & Noble bookstore, it was nice to walk around. You have to wear your face masks so that's good. The only thing I'd note is that the bathrooms are not very clean. My friend also who used the men's bathroom found a random McDonalds bag just sitting on the floor.

My idea for some low-key Saturday afteroon relaxation: a cup of coffee, a warm oatmeal cookie, a good book or magazine to read for a couple of hours. I've been coming here more often to browse and read while enjoying a hot beverage since the Borders near me closed its doors. I like the size of this particular location and, as with almost any of the other Barnes & Noble locations, it is surrounded by a number of places to eat and shop. This Barnes & Noble will not have me missing Borders bookstores that are now all closed for business and have been bought out by B & N, but it will have to do. Still, there are some things that they can improve on; the others we just have to live with. The cafe baristas seldom greet you with a smile and seem more concerned about policing the area to make certain you did not bring in food and beverages from outside (a bit of an annoyance but understandable and necessary). The lounge is rather small and it is rare to find an empty seat or place to sit at the reading tables. I am also reluctant to try on the headphones to listen to any music CD samples because they do not seem to be cleaned often and I consider that unsanitary. The positives (e.g., large inventory of books, magazines, music CDs, DVDs, cafe, stationary and gifts section), however, far outweigh any negatives for me. And I will be a fan of B & N for as long as they are around. Unfortunately, these big chain bookstores are now a dying breed. Many of them are going out of business because they cannot not match prices offered by Amazon.com and warehouse clubs like Costco and Sam's Club. Perhaps there is a real irony here, some will say poetic justice, because the big chains like Borders and Barnes & Noble once opened up in droves, killing business for the independents by offering deeper discounts on books and more resources. And now the emerging market of the iPad, the Kindle and the Nook Tablet will soon make these devices the primary source for reading literature and eventually push all paper-bound books off the shelves of store showrooms and in its warehouses. This, to me, will be a sad day when it happens.

Great place to study or get some starbucks and read. Staff is almost always friendly and the restrooms are pretty clean. They have a huge store and large variety of books. When I visit, I have a good time. The environment is relatively quiet with nice and cool AC on a hot day. I love that the vibes are casual and laid back. My favorite books to read are the business related books There's also plenty of other cool things to buy and look at besides books

Great for the latest releases but the depth of the catalog is not very deep. I often find d myself buying from Amazon instead because they don't have the book I'm looking for.

Our 7-yr-old grandson loves to read. So whenever we're in La Habra we stop by Barnes and Noble for a new book. The children's section is well-stocked. Lots for great picture books, paperbacks and discounted books from which to choose. He'll browse for a while, collect a few possible candidates for purchase, then lead me to a chair where we read the stories. Although he enjoys being read to, normally he does the reading. He loves to read with gusto and marked emphasis, often so wrapped in the story he gets reminded to use his "inside voice." We're usually surrounded by a few other readers doing the same. All trying to decide which book to buy. Such a cozy place to spend an hour. We enjoy the toy & games section, though we seldom buy them from the bookstore. They tend to be more expensive than Target, which is across the parking lot. While I find myself purchasing more e-books for adult reading, there's nothing like a book in a child's hands when they're discovering a new character and delighting in the accompanying pictures. Long live brick and mortar bookstores.
