"Maybe you think only a masochist would try to get work done at Barney’s Beanery, but the Redondo location on the pier is a little different. They open at 11am, and don’t get busy until dinner, so at least you can stare at the ocean instead of the sad blank wall next to your desk as you type and delete the same line over and over again. Also, the nachos are objectively good." - brett keating

"The Barney’s Beanery in Redondo is a little different from the other locations of this sports/games bar. Mainly in that it’s directly on a pier, and a little quieter than all the other locations. They open at 11am, and the place stays low-key until dinnertime when people come to watch sports, so there won’t be any yelling about penalty flags while you look at the water and eat your nachos." - Brett Keating

Cool theme in my opinion for a bar/pub experience, however if you don’t like the cluttered accessory theme-type of venues, it may not be for you. And they’ve got more tv’s than God, I imagine, so come zone out if you’re by yourself some time. The food was decent however the menu is relatively difficult/annoying to read (aesthetically) because of the colored-paper and dull design (font) and a newspaper style menu. A little design-psychology would help that problem, pretty easy fix, but who knows, maybe the chaos-menu is a thing now. Host was nice and helpful, and the first bartender was great however the second bartender was a downer. Our waitress left us abandon, the food was late and incorrect, and management never came by. Thankfully a busboy eventually made it within yelling distance or we would have had a parking ticket. Parking is a bit of a long winded process because of the parking lot (paid parking in a huge lot garage) so be prepared to stay a while, especially with this lousy service from staff and non-existent management. No thanks Beanery!

I've searched far and wide for the best cobb salad. This one is the gold standard of cobbs, a delicious monster. Paired with a neat Templeton Rye which came in a generous pour. The bar staff was attentive and courteous. Barstools are wonky in a good way. Cell reception was dismal, and the guest wifi was full / unable to connect the whole time. Forces you to converse with people around you rather than having your head in your phone, but I had to walk up the hill a bit to order an uber (Verizon).

All three meals we ordered were delicious. I had the pastrami which was great. Their house IPA is pretty cheap too. Great views. I look forward to this being my new regular spot.

Had a great time here with some of the locals for the 49ers vs Green Bay game. The 1920 gin drink was awesome as recommended by the lovely bartender Allie. The chicken club sandwich was huge and hit the spot. Very unique place in Redondo Beach Pier. The barstools were like trucker seats on springs, never seen that before. Definitely will be back.

Grabbed a 🍺 at the bar. Draft menu was extensive... Especially the IPA 🍺. Unfortunately, they ran out of my top 4. But overall, good place to grab a 🍺 and watch sports on their big screens.

It's a good spot to watch football on Sunday's or any sport for that matter Tv's everywhere. It also has pretty cool views of the Pier from wherever you sit. The Mamas Nachos weren't bad, their are actually better than the last we've had in a couple of places recently to be honest. Good amount of cheese, the meat wasn't dry, so we liked them. I wouldn't mind coming back here to check out more things of the menu.

I don't know how they top the view, but the fantastic beer selection, friendly service and funky decor make it a great place to have a few beers and relax. Outside deck. Food was very good as well. Tacos al Pastor were great. They also have a pool table and a few large screen tvs for catching the games. Really great bar.
