Barniz de Pasto Obando

Definitely worth a detour! Just purchased a vase here after visiting the Museo Taminango and learning a bit about Barniz de Pasto Mopa - Mopa. The shop is a family run business, very well kept with beautiful art that you will fall in love with the more you know about and look at it. We were well served and the owner gave us lots of useful information on how best to keep our new piece of art.

Beautiful works done with the "Barniz de Pasto" method. The daughter of the master explained the extensive process to us and was very helpful.

Beautiful shop and superb experience when you have the chance to meet Mr. Obando himself and to see him work, usually in the afternoons.

Uno de los maestros más representativos de la decoración en barniz de Pasto. En su tienda puede encontrar artículos únicos, que contienen el alma de una tradición, que de padre a hijo, de maestro a aprendiz ha llegado hasta nosotros y nos maravilla con la expresión que le imprimen los maestros a sus obras.
