20 Best Restaurants in Bermuda | Condé Nast Traveler

"With dimly lit tables perfect for canoodling, it’s no wonder Barracuda, an upscale seafood restaurant, was a favorite of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas when they lived on the island. This is where you can have a quiet conversation without the table next to you overhearing—likely the reason why island power brokers also pack the dining room for lunch. The Bermuda fish chowder is among the island’s best, as is the rockfish, which is marinated in Goslings rum and soy, then grilled and served with garlicky local kale." - David LaHuta

Had a fantastic evening at Barracuda over dinner. Was visiting with a cruise ship and was happy to find a place that is off the cruise ship grid, so to speak. Sat at the bar where Ryan was both our bartender and Bermudian host. He introduced us to other patrons at the bar in keeping with Bermuda hospitality and then curated some amazing cocktails for us, each one special with one that used local fresh picked peaches. Ryan was engaging, fun, and professional. Our meals were outstanding - in fact I would say I enjoyed the best venison I have ever tasted. It was cooked to perfection, seasoned delicately, and beautifully plated with an accompaniment that hit the sweet, savoury, acidic and spicy notes of a high-end dish. As a discerning Cordon Bleu trained chef, I would recommend this restaurant unreservedly. Thank you Ryan and team!!

We got the most amazing drinks from Ryan their superb bartender The venison chop was the best ever. And the fish chowder was the best we’ve had on the island Kudos to their entire staff. They are now all new friends

The service was excellent here! We did not have reservations but were seated immediately. Our waitress was on top of everything, taking our order, bringing drinks, timing appetizer and main course. It made for a great night out. We shared the scallops as an appetizer. There were only 3 but they were delicious. My husband had the lobster troubadour and I had the octopus. I would recommend both dishes. They were so good we kept taking bites of each other's. A bit on the pricier side but you won't be disappointed.

Loved it. Grab a drink in bar where the barmen will take care of your every need whether it’s solace or chatter they got you covered. Dining room is small portions so order apps. Had a great experience here. Staff is personable, knowledgeable, and island friendly. Will go here again no doubt!

This was the worst meal I've had in Bermuda. We had 7 people, 6 of the meals were awful especially the veal and scallops. I rarely ever leave restaurant reviews but I felt compelled to let everyone know how bad this place was. I'd give it a zero if I could. Small portions, expensive. Just terrible in every way.

Our visits to Bermuda would not be complete without having dinner or lunch at the Barracuda Grill. Today, it was lunch. The dining room is always inviting. As if you have stopped by your favorite aunt's house for lunch. And the service was top-notch. Professional while being personalized. The explanation of our questions about the menu added certainty to our choices. I settled on the duck breast. Perfectly prepared in a creative combination of breast and giblets with complementary sauces. Topped off with a gingerbread pudding for dessert. The food is not inexpensive, but the food is easily some of the best I have tasted anywhere. We will be back on the next trip to Bermuda.

Absolutely exceptional seafood with a lot of choice on the menu. The wine selection was also pretty impressive and varied. There wasn’t anything we had that we didn’t absolutely love and to top it all off the team running the restaurant were so lovely to chat to. Definitely worth a visit!!!

We had dinner here while spending the day in Hamilton. It's at a convenient location. The menu is fine but indistinguished. We had the Rockfish. It was nicely prepared. The location, like most places in Bermuda, is not user-friendly for the mobility challenged. It's up a steep hill from Front Street, then up a pretty narrow and long flight of stairs. The restrooms are up another flight of stairs. Would we go back? Maybe. If you're in a pinch to get a meal, it's a good choice.
