"With dimly lit tables perfect for canoodling, it’s no wonder Barracuda, an upscale seafood restaurant, was a favorite of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas when they lived on the island. Barracuda also recently underwent an extensive renovation to its contemporary-styled dining room and bar (think rich mahogany finishes, plush banquettes, and ambient designer lighting), transforming this old-school favorite into a modern new space. Most people come to Barracuda for the seafood, which makes sense since there’s so much local product available for Executive Chef Jonny Roberts to prepare. Even when it’s flown in, the results are consistently good—case in point, the black vinegar cured wild salmon appetizer, with cucumber relish, black sesame yogurt, and black lava salt. The bacon-wrapped dates with Tucker’s Farm goat cheese have long been a fan fave, and don’t miss the sous vide rockfish, with saffron butter, caviar, charred bok choy, and oyster mayonnaise." - David LaHuta
