Very large portions with authentic Mexican taste. Service was also very friendly and attentive. I ordered the ropa vieja, enchiladas verdes, taco plate, y carne picada. All the meats were flavorful and tender with plenty left to take home. I will definitely be back.

The chips and salsa are very yummy. Nice warm chips. Ordered the Chili Relleno with no sauce. Added the salsa from the table and it was so big and delicious! Large portions with great rice and beans. Service was superb. Great accommodating attitude. Thank you.

You could say I am a regular here. I absolutely love the food, the service is great and the server's always remember what my family wants to eat. Taco Mondays are perfect because who wants to cook on a Monday? It's $1.25 a taco. They offer three different types of salsa and guacamole (extra cost) with your chips or meal. Definitely highly recommend Barragans!

The food is yummy. I had the carnitas plate .... A little to crispy for me but good. Very friendly staff who sang Happy birthday to me ... The BEST margaritas in Los Angeles, even "there". It is a roomy place with lots of booths and privacy. Ask for the lead waitress, Margarita (ironic).

Love coming here for the cocido soup!!! Perfect any day (especially cold and rainy days) ... Always fresh, hot and abundantly filled with perfect fall off the bone meat and fresh chunky veggies...so delicious 😋 They also have great margaritas, chips, salsa and guacamole! Generous portions. All the servers are friendly and very attentive.

Food was bland. At best, it would be considered decent. Supposedly known for their "world famous" cocido ... No, that is far from being good. Again, not bad Mexican food but not good. Decent is a fair assessment. Except for their salsa. That was BAD. I have had watered down generic tomato ketchup from a ton can that could have passed for salsa in comparison. Heck, is have been happier if they just put out Pace Picante instead. Service was good though. They accommodated our large party. Coffee (burnt) was at least refilled consistently. They got the food orders right. Credit where credit is due. This was the Glendale location... Don't know if the other location is any better though.
