I was one of the first residents in this building, and from the very beginning, I had a great experience. The building had everything I needed—a cozy community room, a pool, a jacuzzi, and a gym. I also really appreciated the security, which made me feel safe as a woman living alone. While I don’t have an electric car, I think it’s amazing that every parking spot has an electric charger. Another great addition was the dog relief area, which made it so much easier to take my dog out, especially late at night, without having to leave the building. As for the location, it might seem a bit isolated at first, but it’s actually close to everything—Historic Park, Elysian Park, DTLA, Echo Park, Highland Park, and Frogtown. There are also great new restaurants opening nearby. Plus, with easy access to the freeways, you can get anywhere quickly. I also want to highlight and thank Arnoldo. Since he started managing the building, I’ve noticed a huge improvement. The building is now well-maintained, with a dedicated cleaning crew, freshly painted floors that make the space feel cleaner, and even new plants outside, adding a nice touch. But above all, Arnoldo has been incredibly helpful and a pleasure to interact with—something that can be rare to find in a building manager. I have great memories living at Barranca, and I’m truly grateful for my time here.

I’ve had a great experience living here, and the staff, especially Arnoldo, are incredibly responsible and helpful. Here are a few examples: I moved from a 5th-floor unit to a larger 4th-floor studio. The process was complicated with renovations, rent and deposit adjustments, etc. Arnoldo communicated with me at least 10 times to make sure everything went smoothly. During Black Friday, Monica helped keep packages safe in the Amazon Locker. One of my packages was missing, and Arnoldo investigated thoroughly. It turned out to be a system issue—I didn’t receive the code. I often work in the Community Room, which is always clean and has light music playing. I lost my MacBook charger there and only remembered 20 days later. I didn’t think it would turn up, but Arnoldo checked with the cleaning staff and found it for me. During the wildfire, we had no water or power outages thanks to the generator. A broken window downstairs was replaced the very next day. The staff here are friendly and responsible, and the residents are great too. It’s a pet-friendly community. The only downside is the occasional presence of homeless people in the area and limited dog-walking spots nearby.

Scenic views of DTLA from the south view of Barranca redefine living in Lincoln Heights. With lots of history, historical figures (Cesar Chavez) associated with the neighborhood, the transition to modern living in an industrial area is cozy. Having to relocate after the recent Eaton fires has been challenging but big props to the community and management of Barranca. If you’re curious, ask to speak with their manager Arnoldo Garcia; he made our transition to the neighborhood easy and very welcoming.

I’m a new tenant at 2020 Barranca and I’m happy to share that I’ve had a wonderful experience moving in and living here for a little over two weeks! Kristopher has been absolutely fantastic and kind during this process and I feel very confident about the future as well. The amenities and food hall downstairs are great. Definitely worth visiting/moving in here!

Lived here for a year and Rachel the property manager made it seamlessly easy for my move in, move out, and the time I spent there. They also allow all types of dogs with a place for them to use the restroom, which was awesome! This place is well taken care of, along with street parking and a security team. I appreciate all the work they do there and care they have for their residents. Along with the super nice apartments, there is a food hall with different options from a cafe to different restaurants to dine at. Thank you Rachel and team I appreciate all of you for making my living experience awesome!

I am pleased that we have 24 hour security at the Barranca Apartments with security in the main entrance to the building and to make sure that unwanted trespassers do not have access. It gives me great peace of mind. It was absolutely necessary, and I appreciate this service. Rachel is a wonderful manager and very kind and efficient. All of our needs and concerns have been addressed in a timely manner. Thank you very much Rachel!!

I lived at Barranca from 2023-2024 and I feel bittersweet about leaving. The property manager, Rachel, was very communicative and made the year easy for me. Amenities were nice as well: pool, gym, parking structure, and there was even a food court that opened downstairs mid-way living in the studio. Would highly recommend living here - the price is also reasonable as well.

I miss living here, I lived here for 1 year and the management was excellent. Every time I had a question or needed help with something the property manager (Rachel) was easy to contact and she was very friendly and helpful. I also miss the care for the structure, everyday I saw someone cleaning. I would of stayed but my new job is paying and chose where I had to live, but I highly recommend this location by far the best I ever lived in.
