Google
Very nice place, pleasant and with very good service. It is difficult to find the place if you do not have an app, it is very nice that they put tables outside, something that is not common in this area. The food is a food truck, which although it is good, does not have too many alternatives. The beers (which is the important thing) are very good! Their Belgian styles are out of the ordinary. Do not miss the opportunity to take a can, incredible quality/price. A place to return to.

Great beer and even better vibes! I attended a comedy show here, which was a blast. The friendly bartenders made the experience even better, and it’s a fantastic spot to grab a quality beer. The food truck outside was a nice touch, too—everything about this place makes for a great night out.

Visiting the area this week and SO JEALOUS of those that live near this gem!! If you haven’t been - what are you waiting for? If you are traveling, like myself, put it on your list! Perfect place to meet friends and drink incredible beer. And, don’t tell me no thanks because are a wine drinker because I PROMISE they have a beer for you! I had the pleasure of trying most of what was on tap and I was not disappointed from start to finish. For me, highlights were the dark and delicious Parade of Souls imperial stout - my eyelids floated closed as the first sip went down my throat - pure heaven. Dark chocolate and rich coffee notes. I have no words. I’d come back again and again just to savor a glass of that. While drinking it we were discussing how good it would be with a scoop of ice cream in it… pure decadence. On the lighter side, the Waypoint - crisp and bubbly with citrus notes. Absolute perfection. And, because it’s the season, must note that Father Christmas would make any holiday event more festive! Notes of clove, cinnamon and anise would nicely complement any Thanksgiving or Christmas meal. There is absolutely something for everyone in here. The staff was beyond kind. We left with cans and bottles to go! If you see the brand locally in shops, don’t hesitate to buy - you will not be sorry. I only wish I could get this brand in DC. Definitely put it on your list for a casual night out - you can thank me later.

Stopped in while visiting from Delaware. My wife and I like to travel and we hit up local breweries wherever we go. I loved the ambience of this place. Had that European feel to it. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. I tried a variety of their beers and found them to be solid (Note: Belgian beers are not my favorite style. If you are a Belgian Beer drinker I suspect you will find this place to be amazing and I highly recommend you try it out). One of the IPAs was very good, and I enjoyed the unusual concoction of a stout finished in red wine barrels. The Belgian Quad was very interesting as well. I enjoyed my time here and would certainly return.

Google
The beer is good Can't say if it it's the best or not Belgian is not my thing Definitely a nice experience The server looks like a monk, talks like a monk, has the humor or a monk so I dunno May be is a duck Belgian beer and food truck is just an amazing combo

It was a fun Brewery to visit and have a nice cold IPA. The service was fast and friendly there. Plenty of souvenirs to take home. I got a refrigerator magnet. They had a bottle cap. That’s pretty cool! Upbeat decor, a food truck outside and a very large, outdoor patio, dining for friends and family. Plenty of space.

Google
Barrel of Monks is a 10,000 square foot brewery that was established in 2015 in Boca by three friends with a passion for beer. You can find it in the Penn-Florida Commerce Center. They were the first production brewery in the city and they focus on traditional Belgian-inspired ales. My girlfriend and I met up to grab dinner from a Cheffrey Eats, a food truck in their parking lot that was featured on Guy Fieri Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. After placing our order we decided to beat the heat inside the air conditioned tap room but they also have a large outside patio with tables with umbrellas. I was surprised by elegant the tap room looked with exposed brick, rich wood, and shimmering chandeliers. While waiting for our food I decided to grab a beer. Their menu features beers that have chocolate, coffee, and fruit as added for flavor. I'm not much of a beer drinker so I chose the guava infused Single in Havana which started off as seasonal fruit beer but it became so popular that they started offering it year round. It is a light blonde ale at 4.5 percent. You get the flavor and aroma of guava but it is not overly sweet. It was the perfect pairing to the rich juicy burger created by Cheffrey Eats and even a non beer novice like me loved it. You can pick up six packs of your favorites from their cooler. Their beers range from stouts to pale and they offer flights as well. While enjoying my food and drink I noticed several families with young children so it is family friendly as well as dog friendly on the outside patio. The combination of Cheffrey Eats and Barrel of Monks is a match made in heaven!

Google
Barrel of Monks has become our go-to brewery. They are continuously updating the beer choices while maintaining their flagship brews. The Savory Eats Food Truck is always there, offering several good food options. And, most of all, we are treated as family.

Phillip L.

Yelp
I had their hazy IPA at the Whale's Rib in Deerfield Beach and it was so good that I needed to try their other beers. I enjoyed my visit and the variety of beer styles. The Quad was my second favorite behind the hazy IPA.

Yelp
I stopped by Barrel of Monks in Boca Raton recently while checking out the Cheffrey Eats food truck, and I was really impressed. The brewery has a cozy vibe with great service, and I decided to try a flight of their beers. My favorite was the Single in Havana, a smooth, light beer with a nice touch of guava. The other beers in the flight were all excellent too, each with unique flavors that highlighted their Belgian-inspired approach. The food truck experience was also great, and I paired my beers with some tasty bites from Cheffrey Eats. Overall, Barrel of Monks is a fantastic spot for craft beer lovers--friendly staff, great selection, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Video Review will be posted on Tik Tok and Instagram soon @Foxyappetite

Yelp
HIGH STARS For having an excellent food truck ( Cheffery burgers, wings) -which was the main reason we went there--and good beer that we have purchased previously in grocery stores). Otherwise, this is not 5 star because the BAR is NOT BIG enough -either to make ordering feel comfortable or easy, or to accommodate several people. there is sort of a clique-ish atmosphere of a middle age business crowd (at least when we went.)

Lukasz K.

Yelp
Large selection of delicious brews, and you can get smaller flights of ale to try out ones you are curious about. Loved it! The food is adjacent with the Cheffrey Eats foodtruck and is top-notch. You can order at the foodtruck and head inside to sit down for a cold one while you wait for it to be brought to your table. Service at the bar was quick and pleasant. The feel of the joint is pretty cool inside, but even better outside in the evening when the lighting comes on. Great atmosphere and vibe.

Yelp
This Barrel of Monks Brewing is located in Boca Raton nestled in a high-end warehouse district. On today's visit, they had their food truck outside available for meaty snacks since they do not have a kitchen inside the restaurant. The second story you can rent out for parties which I attended in the past. Brought several friends with me today and we played fun card games that are available for free. Purchased two of their hazy ipa beers and bought a Barrel of Monks shirt for my husband at $25.00. Love this place and will return with friends again for beer and fun.

Yelp
Another amazing place. The staff were super friendly & super knowledgeable about their beers. They let you taste anything you want and have 3 different size drafts. They also have a great selection of beer. We really enjoyed ourselves. We also met some really nice people there. I had the Grand Cru 2024 & the Vanilla Clove Three Fate. Both very very good. My wife had 2 of the Single In Havana. She loved them. Great time had by all.

Christina D.

Yelp
Visited Barrel of Monks Brewing to try Cheffrey Eats nextdoor, and I'm so glad we did. It's a beautiful and cozy bar with a chill and relaxing vibe. They do not sell food so they allow food in from Cheffrey Eats. The bartender, Riley, was very accommodating and answered all of our questions about what they have and saved our seats while we went to order food. The beers I tried were excellent. I can't wait to come back and try the rest!

Daren R.

Yelp
Park your car in a huge front lot and see the food truck out front cooking up grub for the pub. Large outside patio area. The bar has a very cool bar with a big digital wall menu of all their brewed tapped beers. They also have a cooler of several four packs of craft brew. The bartender is a straight to the point guy who is knowledgeable about his brew. The upstairs boasts a massive party room that you can rent out for parties and use the food truck for grub. Great location in a business plaza.

Yelp
Darn I really wanted to like this place but the beer was terrible to be honest. It tasted rancid and watered down. Bar staff was friendly but did not seem eager to explain the brewery process and did not offer a taste test. Maybe if they did we would have chosen a different beer and had a better experience.

Eddie H.

Yelp
Love the food truck and beer selection. Keep making this my go to stop. Single in Havana my favorite beer. Bleau burger with fries too notch.

Caitlyn L.

Yelp
I am not a beer girl at all!! I despise it. In fact my cool pandemic trick was that I learned how to drink a blue moon and tolerate it. Knowing that I will say: the blood orange vanilla beer is so tasty! I didn't like it canned when we brought some home but on draft it was delicious. Their guava beer is also pretty good as well!

Yelp
Barrel of Monks remains one of our favorite breweries because it does a lot of things well: 1) Nice variety of Belgian style beers including several blonde ales, which I particularly like. The Biermeisters are always busy inventing new and creative brews. On our most recent visit, I enjoyed the Single in Havana beer with guava flavor. My husband found the Single in the Sun blonde ale to be light and refreshing. 2) The best food truck around. Cheffrey Eats is permanently located at Barrel of Monks. It's owned by Chef Jeffrey Lemmerman, who proudly offers a range of burgers, sandwiches, tacos and to-die-for french fries. If you sign up for Cheffrey's newsletters, you will get amusing updates regarding his new recipes as well as discount offers for the food. And you get a free order of fries as a reward for signing up. Can't beat that deal! Cheffrey's latest creation, called Da Bear, is a combo of an angus beef burger and top round roast beef. It's topped with spicy veggies, provolone cheese, and includes au jus for dipping. People in our dinner group declared Da Bear to be Da Best! I went slightly "off menu" and requested a chicken sandwich with burrata cheese and balsamic drizzle. No problem! The gal who took my order was very patient and accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the sandwich came with two large pieces of chicken. They were very well-seasoned and tasty. Of course, we each had to add a side of fries for a small ($2) upcharge with Cheffrey's signature spicy BOMB sauce. Quite the zing, yet not overpowering. Pairs well with any beer! 3) Plenty of seating, especially outdoors. Inside was a bit cramped and noisy (why were there so many children hanging around a brewery?), so we enjoyed our brews and food al fresco. We were pleased to learn that the food would be delivered to us at our table so we wouldn't have to stand around waiting for it. More time to comfortably enjoy our beers! In summary: Come to Barrel of Monks for the beer. Stay for the food!

Yelp
I came here with a friend who had been here a few times. They were having a paint and sip event upstairs, which was fun, but I wish we stayed downstairs at the bar! This place is great! The decor is nicely done and the ambiance is low key. No blasting music and drunk youngsters . Forget the beer selection, It's amazing. They even offer a chocolate beer. The bartenders were fun. They have outdoor seating and a food truck. Great place to kick off the weekend!

Shawn C.

Yelp
Always a great place to come for some tasty beer! Heading upstairs for first time to check out comedy

Katy W.

Yelp
We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, a little past noon. The inside of the brewery was completely empty but a few guests were sitting in the outdoor area. When we were here there was a food truck that you could order and eat inside the brewery or outside in the, what I would consider, garden area. By the time we left around an hour later the bar top was filled and a few more guests outside but there was still ample seating. We had been to this brewery in the past a few times, and also regularly sampled their beer at various beer festivals in south Florida. I love their lighter and fruitier beers and my boyfriend is a fan of their IPAs. The bartenders were kind and helpful and let us sample a few beers to find exactly what we wanted. I ended up with the Single in Paradise, a fruited sour and my boyfriend got the Waypoint IPA. Both were delicious! Definitely add this great little brewery to your South Florida Brewing Tour if you have one! It will not disappoint!

Pamela B.

Yelp
great local brewery that serves amazing Belgian beers. a gourmet food truck that makes delicious food at a reasonable price. lots of fun events throughout the year and there is always something happening at the Monk

Delia R.

Yelp
We are always looking for a place that is dog friendly, especially indoors to escape the Florida humidity. Barrel of Monks was amazing and showed us great hospitality. The beer is very tasteful specially in combination with the burgers from the food truck. They were always going around picking up our empty glasses and making sure things were ok. We went on a Saturday night and it was very busy indoors and outdoors but plenty of space to sit. We look forward to coming back and enjoying the atmosphere!

Yelp
We were 3 couples gathering for the first time to meet and enjoy a delicious casual dinner on this Friday night. We all felt that this was the perfect venue for such an occasion. We started at 6 pm and honestly didn't leave until 9:30 because we had such a nice time with no one rushing us to take our seats. To start, it was very hot outside so we checked out the inside which was very cool but noisy, dark and not enough seating to be comfortable. There were several young children in there as well. So we decided to sit outside. There were plenty of picnic tables available to choose from. This worked for us because as the sun went down, it definitely cooled off. The venue is located in a quiet industrial area off the beaten track with plenty of parking. So first we went in to check the beers offered. I'm not a beer drinker so the bartender offered me some samples until I found my Single in Havana choice. You also have a choice of size. They also offer wine if beer isn't your thing. We took the beers out to our table and then walked up to the food truck which is always stationed there called Jeffrey Eats which was fabulous. The menu consisted of various hamburgers- very unique- and a burger of the month. Also there were sandwiches, tacos, fries. I had the burger of the month. It was a WOW. The fries were fabulous also. They brought the orders to the table once they were prepared . Everything is fresh and prepared separately. It was very sloppy eating which was part of the fun - plenty of napkins were provided. I know the brewery offers tours. This was a first for me and I can't wait to go back and try other beers and entrees in the future. Great place to relax and unwind after a long day for sure.

Janet C.

Yelp
Love the Belgium beer at Barrel of Monks! All the beers we tried were fantastic. If you like Belgium beers, this is the place to go. Nice selection of to go beers, including a special each month. Service was good in a nice atmosphere. They have a food truck, Cheffory Eats which the food coming out looked delicious. We took a brownie cheesecake jar to go, it was so good!

Yelp
First time here, when checking in they had something to take advantage of unfortunately I couldn't take advantage of....due to the App and the coupon didn't load. Anyway lost out on whatever what offered but didn't take away from our visit. The atmosphere was nice at times it got very loud inside hard to hear your person. Outside was all taken up so reason to have a table inside. I'm an IPA person so was taking a chance here but they did offer an IPA which was pretty good plus they had a special with the Food Truck plus tacos so took advantage of that and it was very good.

Matt W.

Yelp
Cool brewery! Tons of seating outside and it was packed! Which is a great sign for what's inside. Amazing selection of every type of beer you could want. Vibes inside were immaculate. Come for the IPA's, stay for the vibes and the badass food truck outside.

Bruce K.

Yelp
I was early for dinner so I stopped in here and enjoyed a tasty beer. I love that their focus is on Belgian beers and I had two. Their "Pretty In Pink" followed by "The Wizard." Proper witbiers and compared to the ones i had last night in Jacksonville, far superior. The flavors here were subtle and not overwhelming. It is a comfy spot with subdued seating. Sure, there are televisions showing sports but they're on mute. The burger food truck outside looked great and the outside seating nearby could enjoy the delicious smell of frying fries and grilling burger. Yelp
all the people who work at the bar are nice, very helpful - they'll tell you all about the beers they have. When I get a flight at the bar and eat outside, they always bring it out for me. It's a really nice place and I love the beer.

Ilayda S.

Yelp
This place has a special place in my heart, I really like the vibe sitting outside and enjoying Florida evenings. Best part is pairing our drinks with the food truck. Everyone is super friendly, I love the beer selection.

Kailie R.

Yelp
A fun place to kick back and enjoy a craft beer. They had an entire wall of board games and we played two. The staff were friendly.

Dyan D.

Yelp
Took out guest from out of town here and we all enjoyed delicious beer and played some games.

Mankneesha G.

Yelp
been here a couple of times, First time when we were bar hopping! beer hopping is tough but glad around we stumbled the spot. It was really kind of slow when we got there and it was perfect to try all the bears. They have such a cool space where it doesn't feel like a brewery, but it does at the same time. It's a must go and a must try. The service was wonderful. Wonderful wonderful. The people that work there and were there are super nice! I don't believe they have food per se but I know there's always food trucks around the parking lot, so it just depends on what you got that day. A good find.

Tatiana C.

Yelp
Fresh beer, what better than that?? really good taste, good environment and a different plan. Everybody ordered food From the food truck so for next time i'll try it for sure. Only thing we didn't get our souveniers for the event

Warren R.

Yelp
Really good beer and well as awesome food truck with great burgers. InDoor and outdoor seating and family friendly as well as pet friendly!

Jeffrey N.

Yelp
Went with friends. We all had flights of 4. Tasting so many beers. We "locked" in our top selections for our second round. Wonderful experience. Very good beers.

Betsy S.

Yelp
This is a very fun place to go to ... all kinds of beer and fun...I love that you can sit outside and have fun. I've been to several different fundraisers here and they always do a good job. I love when they bring the taco truck in and you can order what you want! There are many types of tacos to try and many different types of beers! (I tried single in Havana- very good) so what could be bad! Give it a try! You won't be sorry!

Stuart C.

Yelp
The beer is great, the staff are super-friendly. The only issue we have is with the music. We had to listen to rap the last time we were in, which doesn't really gel with the ambience of the place. I guess the staff liked it, but maybe the music should rather reflect the clientele. Apart from that, we highly recommend Barrel of Monks.

Denise C.

Yelp
The beers are good and the food truck was just as good. Try the wizard wheat, it's my favorite. Also, the single in Havana is amazing. Small brewery with a lot to offer

Orlando C.

Yelp
Great place great vibe!! Tuesdays is the best days for their buy 1 get 1 free draft beers. Ben coming here for years and always leave here feeling great. Please support your local breweries because this one is a gem..

luke s.

Yelp
Great food. Exceptional truffle fries and capresse sandwich at the food truck. Also really great atmosphere

Patrick D.

Yelp
I came on a Saturday evening for the first time. They had a whole event outside with corn hole and a food truck. The atmosphere inside was similar to a pub. Very enjoyable with great music line up from the 70's, 80's and 90's. The choices of brews were impressive. I would have given 5 stars if my bartender was friendly. He seemed bothered on offering details of any sort. They also had a private event upstairs. I ordered a burger and fries from the food truck which was very good! They delivered inside to the bar where I was sitting and removed the dishes. That was a nice surprise. I would return again.

Victoria G.

Yelp
I've heard soooo many great things about this brewery but since I used to live a bit far I always told myself one day I'd go. This past Thursday I went, the beers were delicious, the decor was really nice. Not what I expected from a brewery, very bougie as people would say, but the gentlemen that was Beertending ( tall guy with a beard) wasn't as pleasant as I imagined although the gentlemen he was training was very sweet. I possibly would only beer for pick up only, but probably won't visit again unfortunately.

Jim P.

Yelp
Went to a ribs and beer pairing special event at Barrel of Monks. I can't decide if I liked the beer or the ribs better! We'll call it a tie. For $20 per person, we each had 4 different varieties of ribs and 4 five-ounce pours of specially selected beers. The rib flavors were mango BBQ, spicy, pineapple teriyaki and PB&J. The last one was marinated in a jelly sauce and peanuts were sprinkled on top. The beermeisters must have enjoyed themselves in preparing for this event as they selected interesting and fun beers for each of the ribs. The event sold out, which is not surprising given the delicious and creative food and drink, and the enjoyable atmosphere. To keep informed of upcoming events and new beer releases at Barrel of Monks, sign up on their website. Cheers to the beers ... and ribs!

Sherry W.

Yelp
We had a great time on a Sunday afternoon for the monthly food pairing and beer flight. This month was Asian food and it was excellent. The pairing cost $30. Staff is friendly. Beers were great. Food truck out front. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Josh P.

Yelp
A pretty neat spot! They have good deals and while I've only been once, I can't wait to go back again.

Deme Z.

Yelp
This place is so cozy. Great place to meet friends and hang out. I love bitters, so I was so happy to see one on the menu. Also had the witbier but didn't like that as much. Grabbed a quad to go!

Brooke L.

Yelp
Love this brewery so much! It's like a hidden gem of Boca, because I had always heard of it, but never knew where exactly it was located. So happy we finally made it in! I love that they have both indoor and outdoor seating, and I highly suggest enjoying a nice brew in the sun! Their beer is awesome! They are a brewery making exclusively Belgian-style beer, but no matter your tastebuds, you will love it! You are also able to test taste any of the beers before ordering, to ensure you are happy with your choice. I love the theme that can be seen throughout the taproom. You almost forget that you're even at a brewery because it is so warm and inviting. It's not the biggest area, but I like the intimacy it provides. Definitely can't wait to come back and try out some of their other beers on the menu! Their partnership with Cheffrey Eats is also a huge plus, because his burgers are out of this world good!

Clive V.

Yelp
Great beers! I got the Yelp email that advertised yesterday's event and I was sold on that Money Business burger. I can't believe I've never been to this brewery. There was a great selection of beers on tap and some even better beers in bottles and cans. My wife loved their merch too, she ended up getting a quality hoodie and the kiddo had a great time playing outside. Between the food truck and the beers, this is one of my favorite breweries thus far. The staff was super friendly and I really can't say enough good things about this place. Can't wait to come back.

Lea D.

Yelp
Love stopping by here for a couple drinks. Barrel of monks is my boyfriends favorite beer so he loves stopping here! It gets crowded but never too busy, you can always find a seat. The bartenders are super nice too!

Karen A.

Yelp
Beer is not my favorite beverage so it takes a lot for me to get excited about a Brewery. The selection were very limited for my picky palate because hops is not my thing. Three stars for the brew. What saved the visit was the appetizer we had to eat with the beer. It was fried chickpeas mixed with nutritional yeast and powdered Cheetos. That was definitely unique and very tasty. That rates a 4.

Travis J.

Yelp
Very relaxed brewery off of the main road! The staff is very friendly and provides great guidance on your beer of choice. I came with a friend and had the Single in Havana beer, which was light enough to start the day! I want to also highlight the food truck outside of the brewery, Cheffrey Eats! This guy needs his own kitchen as he can THROW DOWN! I had his gangbang burger, some roasted brussel sprouts, bacon wrapped dates, and PB & J wings! Everything was cooked to perfection, and these paired very well with my beer on my visit! Both the brewery and food truck is a hidden gem to the area, and well worth a visit! I would stop here on every trip heading down south!

Andrea L.

Yelp
Great place!! Service is impeccable and the brews are tasty. We hosted an event here and it was the perfect place.

Jeff G.

Yelp
I've been going to the Barrel of Monks Brewery since they opened in 2015. Their Belgian style wheat beer, called The Wizard, is my favorite beer. I always take home a case or two of it when I go there. They have other Belgian style beers too that are excellent. The people who work there are wonderful and very helpful if you ask them about the different beers the brewery makes. There is a food truck that's always parked outside the brewery when they're open and they have the BEST hamburgers ! The French fries are great too. They have been featured on a TV show called Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I HIGHLY recommend going to the Barrel of Monks brewery !
