Support local comedy! This place has a mellow but professional vibe, and is way above what I expected in downtown Santa Rosa. I have laughed my ass off every time I've been to comedy here. The Tix have always been very reasonable. Plenty of selection of beer, hard seltzer and kombucha, I think some wine, and great selection of mocktails. One thing to note is that the bar does not have hard liquor, they make these soju cocktails but I personally avoid that kind of stuff (no disrespect towards the place, I don't like rice spirits).

LOVE the Karaoke night! My friend Henry and his wife Yun come here often. My friend and I came to see him sing live. It was awesome! A Xmas theme to the songs. Sooo many talented singers! It was like a little concert for only $5!

There is no better place to go for live comedy and music. The bartender/owner Tommy, pours the best of wines and makes the best sangrias! We come every Sunday at 2 to enjoy the sangrias and comedy. It feels like home here.

Came for a comedy show and it was so fun! This is such a great space, and I can’t believe I just learned about it now. The popcorn was a fun little bonus that you can purchase on your walk in after stopping at the bar!

Great local club, casually celebrating the performing arts via comedy and music. There is a performance area behind the beer/wine bar and a larger theatre in the back. Shows and events are frequent throughout the day and the week. Spend your money here to support local talent and one of the handful of places a stage is offered in Downtown Santa Rosa. Just watched a couple of artists representing the regional sound, Faethaura and Vaping By The Pool.

Such a great venue! The atmosphere is cozy and there are two distinct areas to perform. Open-air atrium in the center. No hard alcohol. Beer, cider, etc. Popcorn machine always full for a free snack. Other packaged snacks avail at the bar for purchase. They have open mic nights, comedy nights. And plenty of bay area artists perform!

I used to go to this location when it was 505 Mendocino back in the early 2000’s. I absorlueky LOVE what they have done with the place. Drinks were good, ran into some old friends and damn near busted a gut at the “standing room only” comedy show! Highly recommend!!

Barrel Proof is a great spot for a casual night out. They host a variety of events, including comedy shows, art exhibits, and karaoke, so there's always something interesting happening. The comedy shows are entertaining, and it's nice to see a mix of performers. The art exhibits feature a good selection of local talent, and the karaoke nights are a fun way to unwind with friends. From bingo and trivia to open mic nights, there is almost always something to do at Barrel Proof! The space has a relaxed vibe, and the staff is friendly. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're looking for an easy-going place with a mix of creative and fun events. 10/10. Prime downtown location, parking can be a bit tricky on busy nights but totally worth the stop if you're in the area.

Great lounge. We went for the ukulele group and had a super time. The beer was delicious and service was friendly and fast. The space is huge and comfortable. I definitely want to try the comedy. Street parking is convenient also there's a lot across the street. It's close to the freeway and easy to get to.

What an amazing place! The stage area is a fun, intimate size and the courtyard has a great vibe. I also love the area behind the bar with couches and a small stage. The owner is a great guy and really cares about creating an awesome space for private parties as well as a place to gather with your friends. 5+ stars for Barrel Proof Lounge!

I love this place! We went there to watch Rick Lenzi and the Memphis Kings (who were awesome) and sat at a table up front. I remember it when it was Alcapulco's and I prefer the decor and energy of Barrel Proof Lounge. My friend ordered a margharita and said the drink was tasty and the bar service was speedy. We hit the service button on our table and a server was there, smiling at our table, within a minute. We will definitely be back!

I was impressed with our first visit. We came to hear a friend's band and it was surprisingly larger than I expected which was nice. Plenty of room for tables and chairs AND a dance space. Decent tap options, a few non-gluten based options which is always nice. They had a cider, hard kombucha, and wine which is always nice to have choices like everyone else. Sometimes not drinking beer at a club or bar can be tough, so this was a nice change. They have fun decor in the front space that had a nice lounge vibe. The wine barrel tables all had vintage candy dispensers and toys under the glass tops, fun touch. They serve fresh popcorn throughout the night and lemon water. Nice touches to round out the experience overall.

The Barrel Proof Lounge is a great community to have fun in! It has become a one-of-a-kind local hub for up-and-coming young comedians, musicians and entertainers. From the managers and bartenders-- who are all friendly and fun-- to the folks who stop by to hear their neighbors and friends play live--you will be sure to have a unique and entertaining experience no matter when you stop in. We drove an hour to get here. I made reservations on event bright. Since we came early we went across the street for a beer. They were supposed to open at 2 pm. They literally put up a sign after 1pm that they were closing for a private event. NEVER COMING BACK !!!!

The bouncers on the 21st were hilarious. Hella chill. Good vibes from the entire staff, felt safe and the smash burgers they had doing a pop up hit the spot like a good ol cook out! Def hit the local shows!

Last minute invite to see a live band. Never been here before. Kind of a cool venue. Good music and enjoyed a sangria with friends.

I couldn't believe it! Rappin 4 Tay in Santa Rosa at a small club. Legendary! I couldn't wait! My Ticket said 8 to 1130. That's why I bought it. I'm normal. I work in the morning. I don't go out on weeknights till 2 AM. So I take my lovely fiancé there, I thought I introduced her to some legendary Bay Area hip-hop. I tried to order her a beverage, they literally have three mixed drinks and a few beers. Nothing but well booze in their 3 mixed drinks. But that's fine, my grippe is come 1230, all they put on stage was a bunch of crappy ass local kids running their mouth to some hip-hop songs that they couldn't even sing. A few of them were OK but most of them were just trash! Rappin 4 Tay didn't even come on until after 1:00am. I had to go. I get up in the morning.

The service was great and the comedians were pretty good, nice small venue, good vibes!

Nice spot in downtown for concerts, including some free shows. They also host a lot of comedy shows, trivia night, karaoke, psychic mediums, etc. The show space is smaller, but there's a separate lounge area and a bar area. Wish they had food, but you can find it nearby.

Great entertainment! Very clean establishment! They have friendly staff. All you could ask for in a bar. Very welcoming place I'm surprised it doesn't get more foot traffic.

My life has utterly transformed since discovering this place on Father's Day 2023; it was the perfect place to bring my grown daughter for our first dad-free Father's Day. We came for Sunday Funday free comedy and stayed through trivia. To my utter surprise and delight, Myq Kaplan performed a set. For free! I first saw Myq Kaplan on Last Comic Standing ages ago, and he's one of my favorites whenever he pops up on the comedy station on satellite radio. And there he was! So many amazing comics drift through this place, both for the featured shows in the theater and as open mic drop-ins. You never know who you'll get, but it's 100% been amazing every time. This place feels like home now. Talk about going somewhere where everybody knows your name! It feels like a community center; there's a bit of a sense of ownership among all the comics and friends and family that show up. In fact I feel like I own the place. Casey might disagree with me, but bring it on, buddy! I'm so grateful to have discovered this place. It has completely transformed my life. I mean like night and day. Being part of this community, making the dearest friends I could have, and getting up on stage for the first time in my life at an open mic, I'm a different and better person because of Barrel Proof Lounge.

Barrel Proof Lounge is an amazing venue for comedy, music, and fun. Not only do they have some great comedians and musicians walking through their doors, the owners are so generous, kind, and community oriented that they often open the space for nonprofit fundraisers or community events. The entire staff is friendly and will make you feel right at home. If you want to laugh, dance, or just hang out and drink a beer or glass of wine in a great environment, Barrel Proof Lounge is the place to be!

We went to a Sunday afternoon comedy show and had a fantastic time. The comedians were all hilarious, the owner took the time to make sure everything went well, and it was just an overall good time. I'd strongly recommend to folks from all backgrounds

Came for trivia night and had a great time! The popcorn is delicious and tastes just like movie theater popcorn! They also have cider and wine for the non beer drinking people like myself!

This is the best downtown Santa Rosa happening place to be. Music, comedu, trivia, bingo come and play here it is a lot of fun.
